The dogs bark all night in the dog park otherwise the community is quiet. Would be nice to have a consistently working elevator. Always dog ---- everywhere and also dog hair and cobwebs in the stairs.

I would recommend but with quite a few conditions. Price, location and needs would have to be met. Area can be very noisy. Price is not too high, but it is not a value. The complex is nice enough considering the age. But between the gates and elevator not working a decent amount of the time. Unsure.

The maintenance is not very good at all and the elevator is always malfunctioning. It is a major problem that is never resolved. The staff is friendly and the apartments are fine but the elevator is a constant problem.

I like the calais, I really do. But there is room for improvement with regards to common area maintenance and the package system especially. The office staff is kind and responsive. I think its corporate that isn't making the smart choices about property improvements.

At times the dog park is not very clean. It is not the apartment complex's fault. People should be held accountable for their own dogs doing. Just not very enjoyable when the turf is filled with feces. Maintenance was supposed to fix our faucet (black residue coming out). We have not heard back though. Other than that, I have loved my experience at Calais. Very nice high ceilings and very nice for the price we pay. and would recommend it to everyone.

I like the staff, location, size of apartment, and facilities. The apartment move-in was terrible, as the apartment had many maintenance issues (including hazardous fumes) and pest (cockroach) infestations. Now the apartment is great to live-in, and I like living here, but only after we did a DEEP clean and de-roach treatment of the apartment ourselves.

I have liked the experience living here so far. The apartments are nice and safe. The area is nice. The street is decently loud at times the gate into the parking garage is often stuck in the open position. The office staff is very friendly.

Our experience has been excellent since we moved here last summer, and we immediately renewed. I lived here from 2018 - 2020 and really enjoyed my time then and enjoy it even more so back in a different building. The office staff is very helpful, specifically Betty, who was here when I first lived in the community; her continued tenure is comforting. We're very happy with the renovations; the grounds are immaculate; the community technology, site, and app are efficient; maintenance is very quick; the appliances are top-notch; and the community feels safe.

There have been both benefits and downsides to living here. Benefits have been location, price, apartment layout, and convenience of apartment features. The staff is pretty friendly and overall helpful. Safety (gates being left open for days on end, car break ins, stolen packages) has been a downside; as well as the lack of AT&T cell service inside the apartment (constant dropped calls). Additionally the maintenance team ignored an Air Conditioning issue that cost me $500+ every summer month of 2023 which is ridiculous. It took until January for it to be taken seriously so I am just hopeful it is fixed.

It’s a pretty good place to live. I would not recommend living anywhere but on top floor. Insensitive neighbors above. It does not seem that there is any standard practice of walking all the buildings daily. Often deficiencies like burned out lights and messes in public areas like elevator go unnoticed for a while.

Excellent office and maintenance staff, lots of terrible SmartHome and trash valet policies that probably sound great in a board room but have worsened the quality of life here. Great location with lots of wonderful restaurants in walking distance.

I’ve had a generally good experience living at this community over the last 2.5 years. I like our location and the layout of my unit. Maintenance is great. The biggest issue is lack of security in the parking garages. The garages were left open at all hours for months on end last year for different reasons. They’ve just changed the gate system so hopefully that won’t happen again. Regardless, my husband parks in the lower garage that can also be accessed by visitors with a keypad, and had his car broken into 5 different times over 2.5 years. Thankfully he normally doesn’t leave anything valuable in the car but this last time they stole his dashcam, car kit, and Swiss Army knife. Someone else put up a flyer than their entire truck was token out of the garage as well. Management never spoke to it and eventually took the flyers down so we don’t know what happened but that’s not comforting to hear. There are also packages often left in the open when lockers are full rather than having them placed in the office for security. The prices and actual units are great, but just be cautious of security

Very good clean apartment. The amenities are great, and the staff is very kind and professional, and the layouts are very cool. Only downsides is the Maintenance takes a long time, likely due to a lack of staff, and poor customer service and flexibility during the moving-in process. In addition when the security system went down due to weather, they did not get a replacement security system in the meantime (where other local apartments got security guards), which led to my car getting broken into.

One issue I forgot to mention was noise. Noise from cars all night long and from maintenance/leaf blowers from early morning. This makes life very difficult with a baby and also with working night shifts and needing to sleep well. This could be resolved by installing decent quality windows.

Pretty poor. Facilities are not well taken care of. The security is practically non existent and the staff doesn't seem to know what is going on. There is loterally no mpve in/move out polocy. They will look at you like you're crazy if you ask abouy it. How does a facility of 100s of units not have anything in regards to an elevator or system for moving in?

The overall experience has been a good one since I moved last month. I love this community it’s safe and very quiet. The hallways are always maintained, no trash or accidents on the floors, always very clean when I’m walking to my door. I love the convenience of valet trash pickup it saves me from one less thing to do. I love that everything is powered from my phone as far as garage gates, street doors, elevators, and my home door and inside the home. The only thing I was unhappy to learn was all the extra fees a month which came out around 200$ other than that I love this community!

Garage gate broken right now as they have been numerous times before. Had my bike stolen and car broken into in my time being here. Elevator used to break constantly but that has mostly been fixed. Invested in repainting, restricting garage, and mostly making the community look better, but still has issues that reoccur like the garage that really keep me from loving the place.

It was a nice experience at first. Until every single day for the past couple months dogs urinating in the stair case or in the elevator they take dumps and the owner does not clean it up and keep letting it happen

Decent apt complex. Elevator needs to be upgraded. Rust on the elevator door, makes lots of noise when opening and closing, real slow to go up and down. Too many un responsible pet owners, dog poo everywhere. Apt needs to fine the the pet owners who do not pick up after themselves

Things are broken all of the time and the office does not do a great job about communicating honestly or quickly. Some things that should be consistently happening just aren't. For example, the dog park does not get sprayed down enough and the bags for recycling aren't being passed out anymore.
