pool temp

First off I love the fact this place allows some dogs that other apartments do not. I also like the park like setting. When you look at an apartment before you choose to rent it be sure you look at the real ones. The onethey show you is good for a for the layout but it is a display and will be alot nicer then what you will get. Another thing I do not like is the pool is always cold. Its turned up for the first week of it opening and then it turns freezing. No amount of complaining will get it turned back up. Responding to another rating the girls are hard to get whole if at times. Last but not least the parking is horrible. The only way u can guarantee a spot is my paying an additional fee a month and getting a reserved. One more thing. Find out where the train tracks r by the property and pick a unit far away from them

Decided not to rent at Crosspointe because....

It sure looked nice on the internet pictures but when I arrived to take a look at the property and hopefully a vacant apartment it didn't take long before I decided I didn't want to live there. Sadly for who ever's dream it was to create this place and keep it beautiful has not been held up to standards...it's like a really nice place gone ------. The front door entrance was my first "alert", a lovely large pot of plants on each side of the door before you walk in....dead and brown and not taken care of. uh-oh, so I thought " let's go in and give it a go", there was a gal at her desk in a little office and the other gal was just walking out as I came in, she looked at me then turned around and walked out. The other one one smiled at me but never came out to ask if I needed anything, so I though "okay, she'll be back in a bit, I'll wait". I waited long enough to notice how dirty and un-cared for the place was, also it smelled like an icky public bathroom air freshener in there. A broken TV on the floor collecting dust in plain view behind the front desk, dusty fake plants and table tops, unorganized etc. I could name more things but what I observed told me that whoever is managing this place puts minimal effort in to their job and certainly has low standards for their work environment, if that's the case I can't imagine what living there would be like. If you don't have high standards and don't mind things not being taken care of then you could probably get a good deal on rent and might like it...me? No thank you.

      Great and safe place

I have lived at Crosspointe for 4 years now and it has been the best apartment complex I have been at. It is very close to everything. It looks like a park and so most apts, you can look out your window to very big trees instead of parking lots like other places. All of the girls in the office are always available and very helpful. The maintenance does a great job at fixing anything I need too. I also feel very safe, even safe enough to allow my kids to play outside without having to worry every second. Also all of my neighbors are very nice. Overall, it has been a great place to live and I would recommend it to anyone who wants safe peaceful living.

Horrible staff - would NEVER move back. Ever.

I've lived here for years and the end of this lease can't come any sooner. Oh Crosspointe, where to start. How about we start with the staff. I think about 90% of the time I step foot in or call the office, nobody is there. Those girls leave whenever they want and do whatever they want. I have NO idea how they can honestly think they can just pick up and leave at all hours of a work day, it is the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. Many residents have complained about this in complete astonishment, and have confessed that if they weren't so afraid of the girls fabricating some bad review about them, they'd contact someone above them with complaints. I don't know how many times I've gone down there and seen that "be back in *set amount of time*" sign on the door and waited around for hours before seeing them return. They are unreliable, they don't pass on messages or take care of maintenance when it's reported and in this last year especially the grounds really suffered due to their inability to manage this place. The piles of leaves they left laying on the grass stayed their until they began to rot and decay, and I saw elderly residents finally going out to rake it up after months of the management sitting on their hands and doing nothing about it, simply because they were sick of wading through the slimy mess of leaves. The most unprofessional management I have E V E R seen, and unprofessional is putting it very, very nicely. The other reviews stating that parking is insanely hard to come by? 100% true. I have one car and some days have to park three apartment buildings away and walk back to mine. I have this problem every night, though, granted, I sometimes find a spot only TWO buildings away. It's beyond ridiculous. They intentionally have covered parking places taking up most of the parking outside of the apartments and you have to pay to get those ones. So what does that mean? Suck it up and and pay it or cross your fingers and hope you get one of the very few free parking spots. As for how sound proof these places are.. All I can do is laugh. You know what's something I totally don't want to hear every day? My neighbor being intimate. ANY noise travels through these walls like they're made of lace. Laughter, watching TV, the toilet running. If I had trouble sleeping through noise I honestly would get no rest here whatsoever. Insulation is terrible. In the winter this is a very big problem, the cold air just seeps through everywhere. Maintenance guys are happy to help with problems but usually don't fix the problem correctly. I'm going to try and list a few positives. The apartment is lovely inside and out, but a bit worn down. If you've lived here a while good luck getting them to keep it up much. They'll re-paint and fix it up after you move out, but not until then. The grounds are lovely when they're maintained. Lots of trees and bushes. I do feel safe here. ( My main reason for living here ) One of their maintenance guys has been here for years and is very sweet, very helpful and is always happy to help. I've heard numerous horror stories about this place from the neighbors while living here. Like one couple going away on vacation for a while and coming back to find their apartment rented with all their belongings in it. Really unexcusable things. Other stories are in the same spirit but I'm not going to list them here as they are heresay. I think if you've read this far then you've pretty much gotten the jist of what I'm saying and how I feel about this place. If I had written this review before the new management took over, it would have been mostly positive. Whoever gave control to whoever is in control now made a huge mistake, because everything has just plummeted down hill. I would never move back here again unless I'm in a pinch. Though, like I said, I do feel safe here and that's something that's hard to come by for me in the tri-cities. If you move in here and the management is the same, all I can say is good luck and told you so. :)

          No....

I currently live in the apt building bottom level in crosspoint apt. First of all Ive only been here 4 months so 4 more left then I am living somewhere else. I just got woken up by my upstairs neighbor dropping something I guess a bowling ball??? I hear everything.. I am right now in my bed and I can hear my back neighbor having sex!! Yes that is right!!! You can hear ppl chopping something, talking, laughing, watching TV, even the alarm going off oh and a phone ringing. And they are not in my apt... I keep smelling cigarette smoke and I have a bad allergy to it. When u try to call the office no one answers! I have gone into the office a million times and only 2 times have I seen one girl at the desk? WTF!!! oh and get this parking near ur appt with out paying is a -----.. they purposely have covered parking areas all over the place and only near my apt 6-8 uncovered parking areas. They do this so u have to park either in another parking area far from ur apt or buy another covered parking spot. I have had it up to my head. I am awake at 7 am for nothing. I pay way too much for this apt. For all this ---- to be going on. I also have told them many, many times their tanning bed is HAZARDOUS But they dont care.. WARNING if you tan in their bed u will not be protected by the acrylic its too old and they refuse to fix the problem. With what I pay a month they ------- should get a new one!!! The tanning bed is forming another shape than the usual form a tanning bed should be instead of tanning it feels like ur in a skillet being cooked. I have great knowledge of tanning beds so please dont go tanning! I normally go around 20 min. and with this tanning bed the bed is too hot to even touch around 10 min of being on.

            Not a Bad Place

My family and I have lived here for a little over a year and have actually been pleased with it. Other than having a couple crummy neighbors (which you can get anywhere), it's been a good experience. The maintenance staff is very quick to respond to any problems we've had and the office staff is always friendly. When we have complained about the neighbors, the office staff took action quickly. The apartments themselves are nice. The kitchens are tiny and there isn't much storage, but we haven't had any problems with the windows being drafty or with poor construction. Parking is an issue. After being here for 9 months and constantly having trouble finding a place to park, we finally rented a space. We're still having problems with people parking in our spot occasionally. It seems if this happens outside of business hours, we're out of luck. All in all, I would recommend it and have recommended this complex to several people. They're a bit pricey, but that's the Tri-Cities.

              Nice Place

I have lived here for 2 years and would continue living here if the temptation of buying a house for the tax credit wasn't on my mind. The floor plans are actually pretty large and nicely laid out compared to most of the other places I looked at when I was in search. My apartment was on the corner, come to think about it, I think they are all on the corner, lol. Anyway, being on the corner makes it feel more homey because there are lots of windows. I even have a window in my kitchen which is nice to be able to look out while cooking or washing dishes. There is lots of grass for which makes it nice. Although there is a lot of dog pooh at times, if you call the office they will send a maintenance man to clean it up. The Managers are always nice, almost too nice at times. They must really like thier jobs to be so excited all the time. It's actually kinda weird actually. Anyway, the few complaints that I have told them, they always attempt to address them right away. Overall, I have had no major issues and woudl refer anyone there.

                hang out for kids

This complex was very nice and recommended by many people when we moved here 5 years ago. Since then it has become a little run down, pool isn't open most of the year, dog poop all over the place, and gangs of kids just hanging out. We are told nothing they can do about the problem. However with them continuing to increase the rent every year it is not worth the money. If you don't get the extras then don't pay the price. We are moving and think others should too. The management seems to have taken care of the problems, and I praise them for that. There are other complexes who would not of addressed the problem as great as Crosspointe has. Thank you

                  The Good And The Bad

Ok so I recently moved out of the Crosspointe apartments. I lived there for over 2 years. I think it might have recently changed ownership. I'll just be honest with you about what was good and what was bad with living there. Some of the things I liked was the move-in special they gave me. I won't mention numbers at this point since rent prices have changed since then. One of the main things that attracted me to the apartments in the 1st place was the greenery. All the trees and grass, and ornamental plants was very nice yet the apartments weren't hosh-posh, so it was still resonably priced when compared to other apartments in the area. Another thing that attracted me to these apartments was when I drove thru the parking lot, I didn't see any "------ scenes" you know.... the shoeless babies in diapers running thru the parking lot un-supervised, or lowrider cars up on jackstands with tires missing, etc.... The crowd there seemed more mature, and more middle working class. The price for carports and garages were also resonable as compared to other close-by apartment complexes. Once inside the actual apartment I was going to occupy, I found it to be in decent shape but obviously out-dated and a little rough around the edges when it comes to build construction. I wasn't too worried about that at the time though. The interior design looks like it dates back to the late 1980's or perhaps early 1990's. Lots of fake "beachwood" trim, even doors are all covered in that fake beachwood veneer, as well as the entire kitchen. My least favorite thing about the kitchen was the god-aweful flourescent lighting fixure attached to the ceiling. It screamed late 1980's. One flick of the switch and for flourescent bulbs instantly turn on and floods the area with the coldest most office like extremely bright white light, that you would swear you were in a warehouse or office building! Needless to say I put a lamp in the kitched and exclusively used that to light it, instead of that horrid flourescent lighting. I had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit that was right around 1200 sq ft. As far as the floor plan goes, there are advantages and disadvantages to it. What I liked about it was the fact that you could be sitting in the living room watching TV, and the sound wouldn't carry to the adjacent bedrooms as long as you kept the volume at normal levels. Very nice when you have roomates. What I didnt like about the floor plan was the front door opens up directly in to the living room. Can be really abrubt, specially in winter if you're sitting in the living room watching tv or what not, someone opens that front door and you get an artic blast no matter what. The other thing which really deters from this floor plan is that you have to cut right thru the middle of the living room in order to get to the hallway that leads to the bedroom. So again, can be very bothersome for anyone that might wish to be in the living room relaxing. Same thing goes for accessing the kitchen. Anyone in the bedrooms has to cut right thru the middle of the living to get to the kitchen. This creats A LOT of back and forth traffic. This was the first time I had an apartment with this type of layout, so I didn't anticipate this when I first viewed it. The previous apartment I lived in, the front door opened up in to the main hallway, in which you could go left to get to the living room, dining room, or kitchen. Turn right to go to one of the bedrooms, or bathroom, or directly ahead of the entrance to access the other bedroom. That was a great layout for having roomates. If a roomate decided to bring a friend over, or just wanted to pop in or out. You could be sitting in the living room, dining room, or kitchen, and you would never knew they had come or left! Just using that as a comparison so you can see what I mean about the advantages and dis-advantages to the Crosspointe floor plan. Ok on to other things. I would say Maintenance was a bit better than average at this place. I only had to call them twice but they were always very polite and reponded quickly. So I give them a good rating based on that. The office staff was usually polite and accomodating. Remember that these people deal with angry or rude tenants all the time. So it pays to be cheerful and polite with them in the first place. They will mirror your good attitude back at you and most likely if you are having some sort of problem or concern with your apartment, if you deal with them in a good manner and professionally, they will be the same way back. Watch out for the sprinklers at night time!!! If you are a late nighter like I am, and go in and out a lot, you will end up getting soaked sooner or later lol. Wasn't just me either, it happens to everyone. All the walkways that go in between the apartment units and the parking lots have these chaotic psycho srprinklers that can swing wildly and they end up spraying directly in the direction of the walkway itself. Resulting in you getting sprayed down if you are going down the walk way. They need to re-think that sprinkler system, maybe at more sprinkler heads that can cover smaller areas rather than trying to get 1 sprinler head to cover such a large area that they have to make them spray all the way accross walkways and such. Speaking of walking... careful where you step! Many of the residents have dogs and the residents allow them to run freely late at night so they wont be caught. Their dogs go out and poop everwhere and urinate in the same spots on the grass which ends up creating big bald spots where the grass no longer grows. If tenants complain, the apartment staff will tape notices on everyones door around where the problem is happening, reminding everyone to clean up after their animals. But this does absolutely nothing. People who let their animals poop everywhere late at night already don't care about the rules... so reminding them changes nothing. The apartment staff/maintinance just walks right by the poop too. They don't even attempt to keep the grounds poop free. Other than the paid parking, it usually wasn't a problem to find a free un-covered spot. If other people have complained about it... I doubt they've lived in apartment complexes for very many years like I have all over washington state. The free parking at Crosspointe was the best I found so far. You might have to walk a little bit, but the spots are there at least! As for the amenities.... the weight room is actually decent, although there is only 1 set of weights, which can create some competition. There are a couple bikes and treadmills too as well as one cable resistance machine. I like the fact that they have a radio in there as well as a TV with cable channels. What I don't like is the fact that when the apartment staff leaves the offices for the evening, they turn off the air control unit... so the weight room turns in to an oven in summer!!! There is no seperate temperature control for the weightroom and tanning room. It's all controlled by the same unit as the office area. So it just gets shut down when they leave. As for the pool and jacuzzi..... when I first moved in, this was open 24 hours a day which I loved because of my work schdule, I get off work late at night and that was perfect for me to go for a late summer night swim and soak in the jacuzzi, either alone or with one of my roomates or a friend. But then starting the 2nd year, things really went down hill. The pool and/or jacuzzi were constantly closed in summer for "maintinance" or "repair". Im not talking like for half a day or a few days. This would go on time after time for WEEKS. Then they changed the pool/jacuzzi hours, and started closing the pool area at 10pm but many times the maintinance guy would come close it earlier, at like 9pm or so! Then the next issue was perhaps the most aggravating. The apartment complex started getting less and less selective with who they would rent to. The place started filling up with teenagers that would party all night long or be screaming and shouting in the parking lot until day break. They also started renting to people that seemed to be either section 8 or just over-all... lower socio-economic level... based on how they would allow their children to do anything with no supervision and these children and young teens were cocky too. The pool and jacuzzi area would fill up with them. Half of them didnt speak english, and the other half that did, would just ignore you when you would remind them of the time limit for using the jacuzzi. There would be as many as 15 or 20 of them, ranging in ages from 7 to 15 or so... totally un-supervised in the pool area, but ONLY after the apartment office had closed for the evening. This isnt even allowed under apartment regulations but the parents of these kids don't care and neither did the kids. One of the doors/gates that leads to the pool area was easy enough to just force open without a key.. by just pushing on it. All the kids knew about this. Eventually this was fixed... so then the kids would just climb over the fence. Many calls and complaints were logdged with the apartment staff, but they wouldn't really do anything about it other than telling you that they would take care of it lol. Non of this existed or was happening when I first moved in to the Crosspointe. They used to be very selective about who they rented to. It was very sad seeing them lower their standards and then watching all the problems that ensued do to that. The once spotless parking lot areas soon began to be littered with fast food containers and bags that were thrown out or just dropped late and night when the partiers would get home, which were mostly people in thier late teens that they had decided to rent to. One other thing I would mention is that in winter, these apartments get terribly cold! No I don't just mean as any place would. I mean, much of the outside walls... such as over by the dining room area aren't insulated.. and around the windows you can feel ice cold air coming in...enough so as to make the curtains/blinds move from the airflow. I've lived in many apartments before, but these were by far the worst when it came to insulation and electrical bill in the winter, because you would literally have to blast the heat 24 hours a day just to keep it warm inside. I was on the top floor, I don't know if perhaps the bottom floor was a bit better. I've always had top floor units though so I'm making an even comparison. So the overall conclusion? Well without a doubt, the Crosspointe apartments have gone down hill from what they used to be. I believe there may have been a change in owners from when I first moved in to about a year later.. when everything began to change. At the same time, rental prices rose dramatically! When I was getting ready to move out, I went to their rent.com ad, and i was shocked at how much they were asking for the units. The one I was living in had gone up by $400 per month! The thing is... the people in the leasing office felt that this was justified based on the sq ft of the apartments and the fact that the apartments have central air. I gave them 3 local examples which they themselves used as comparisons. One of them was the CenterPointe Apartments a block from Clearwater. The other 2 comparisons were The Orchard at Hansen Park (I beleive it's not called La Serena at Hansen Park), and Grandridge Place. Crosspointe likes to point out to you that CenterPointe apts don't have central air. Rather they have wall units for a/c. But there is a big difference that Crosspointe doesn't mention... the fact that all 3 of the other apartment communities that they like to compare themselves to are UP TO DATE!!! I'm sorry... but Crosspointe just doesn't compare to these other places, they are NEW apartment complexes with NICE decore, they are built better, nice fit and finish.. and they look modern! None of this can be said about Crosspointe. I'm not sure about La Serena but I do know Grandridge Place has central air so they don't bring that up in the comparison lol Would Crosspoint be right for you? Well I would say go compare. You will probably pay a little bit more at La Serena or Grandridge Place. And a little bit less at CenterPointe, but unless you need a 3 bedroom, the other places at THIS POINT might be a better choice due to the overall decline at the Crosspointe. If it doesnt matter to you that the crosspointe has a very outdated looking interior and you're not the type to use the swimming pool or jacuzzi, then Crosspointe might still be a good choice. If on the other hand, you are more in to ammenities, you like using a pool/jacuzzi, you want to live in an up-to-date place that is more on the classy side, just skip Crosspointe all together, you will be disappointed. You will pay a bit more at Grandridge Place or La Serena, but what you get for the little extra you pay is a dramatic difference! So there you are. That is my fair assesment with everything I could think of that might be useful for you to know. Good luck, and make sure to compare!

Good Place, don't believe everything you hear from sensative people

I live by the train and you do notice it, but it's not as loud or earthquakey as others have said. The staff people all take care of anything I have asked and even go above and beyond too. I frequently order things online and do not get off of work on time to pick them up the staff always puts my boxes in my apartment. They have even offered to walk my dog which is not something they promote just do on their own and they always have treats in the office for pets and us too!! There is so much grass and trees which other places don't have that it makes it feel like you live in a park. I do agree with parking, it is best to rent a spot but they aren't that much more to rent. There is not problem here and woould recomend to anyone!!

I do not have one complaint

I have lived at Crosspointe for 2 years and abosolutely love it. There are at times some parking issues and random times that pet owners are not picking up after them. But the staff always takes prompt action to fix any concerns. The office staff always are very friendly and even go out the way to help any residents or anything that will help the community be better. I went to pick up a package a couple of weeks ago and the girls in the office were really working hard painting. they probably could have had the maintenance people do it, but they did such a nice job painting and running an office at the same time. It looks way better. My apartment is very nice. The trees and grass are nice. I really don't have a complaint and would reccomend this place. I will miss it when my house is done and I move on.

                        STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT BE FOOLED! Living in them is not as nice as looking at them! The staff is very welcoming but, they don't tell you about the frickin train yard on the other side of the wall. So if you live on the south side of the complex, you will experience minor "earthquakes" about every 90 minutes in which you can hear the heavy trains and FEEL them shaking your entire house. I could just kill myself for signing a 12 month lease because I am stuck here trying to sleep through 2 am and 4 am trains. Additionally, parking is nice if you can get it, but you have to pay for it. The lot is pretty dimly lit too. My neighbor had a fire in his appartment that I could see through the window, and I couldn't get a hold of any managers or maintance and had to call in 911 firetrucks for a minor flame. Also, if you don't like dogs barking and crapping everywhere you should avoid this place altogether. I think I am the only person here without a dog. I am really disappointed because the neighborhood is great, facede is beautiful, service is friendly, and my apartment is lovely but so stressful, noisy, and unrestfuldue to the constant distractions. If you can handle these things and sleep through freight trains, you may like it here, otherwise, get out while you can. CROSSPOINTE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR SLEEPLESS NIGHTS!

                          Don't move in here!

DO NOT RENT HERE!! I am a local professional who had the misfortune of moving into these apartments based on internet searching. The staff was very nice until I signed a 1-year lease, then they became uncooperative. The tanning bed bulbs were never changed until I insisted, the workout equipment was broken more often than not, the pool was closed half the summer, and you have to PAY to get your own parking spot. I often had to park across the lot and walk home in the dark. I am a single mother and that was very unsafe. I had to have maintenance come often - sometimes for the same problem. The stairs wobbled due to so much rust. My apartment smelled like cigarette smoke from the people who lived downstairs. The worst part though is that the complex charged me $1600 when I moved out although I left the place in good condition. I can't say anything good about my experience there and WARN OTHERS DO NOT RENT!!!

                            Great Community Great Staff

I lived at Crosspointe for around 6 months while me home was being built. I always found the staff to be kind and concerning with any issues that came about. he maintenance staff is prompt and efficient. This place has a lot of areas that are grassy with large trees and pet friendly as well. I shopped around at alot of places and hands down chose Crosspointe over any place else. I would recommend this place to everyone!! If you want great service and friendly staff and neighbors go to crosspointe!!

I lived there for 2 years and loved it. The grounds are so green and there is lots of grass and trees. The office staff is very nice and would always says hi and greet me and my family by name. The maintenance staff is also very nice and does a good job keeping up the grounds and taking care of our requests in the apartment. The neighbors were always nice and I felt very safe living there. I would would recommend living here to anyone.

I ived at Crosspointe for 3 years, and have not had anything to complain about. The maintenance personnel are quick and responsive, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the office staff are very nice, professional and not to mention extremely attractive. I could not hear my neighbors at all and felt very safe with the hours that I worked. The offer great ammenities in which are open 24 hours a day.

I loved living there and continue to reffer to them constantly. They offer a referral program that I have taken advantage of and have received $600.00 just for referring my co-workers.

These apartments are nice and no one here complains about the noise or anything else that comes from your apartment. The walls are thin ... one night I heard my neighbor's entire conversation. I'm not impressed with the dishwasher or the garbage disposal ... I have honestly quit using the dishwasher as I have to practically wash them clean to use it anyway. Another person mentioned the ant problem ... yes, I have seen some ants in the bathroom and the laundry closet. I'm on a ground floor ... and the gentlemen above us are not that loud at all, but with all bottom level apartments ... you can hear the walking, etc. I have a small child and haven't had any negative experiences with someone being too loud, etc. The insulation is not the greatest. In the winter, it is at least 10 degrees cooler sitting by the window. The rent is a lil steep ... but the ammenities are nice. We used the pool and hottub all summer long. We frequently play on the kid's toy ... it's convenient.

I also live here and am one of those people who have LARGE DOGS, two of them. We do pick up after our dogs every single time, but I have to say, not everyone does - and most of the waste I encounter is from small dogs. Dogs are also supposed to be on leash at all times here, and very few of the small dog owners follow that rule.
I would, however, reccomend these apartments to others. The walls are thin and you can hear what's going on in your own apartment (for baby's naptime, etc) -but not others.
The inside of the apartments have been kept up very nicely, everything is still brand new. We have had few appliance problems and maintenance has always had a fast and good fix.
The setting is very quiet, yet close to everything, and it's very safe. We are lucky to have a great view of the Tri-Cities sunsets from our apartment and enjoy living here.

                                          Cheaply Built

We moved here 9 months ago and have only 3 months left on our lease. The grounds are kept well and pretty so the aesthetic factor is pretty good. Unfortunately, large dogs are allowed here and when people take them outside, they don't clean up after them so I don't want my children to even go near the grass. Also, the walls are pretty much paper thin. You can hear everything next door and I would *definitely* not move into a lower apartment. That is the mistake we made and if you are on an opposite schedule from your neighbor I guarantee you will be woken up constantly. Many things have gone wrong with the appliances here and there was an ant problem for awhile. The maintenance people are nice but never really do anything about any problem you are having. The dishwashers suck and the garbage disposal always gets clogged. I wouldn't say they are "unliveable" but not worth the money because they are pretty expensive. I also can say if someone had written the review I am now writing, I would not have moved in as these things are important to me in my living space. Also, the insulation is HORRIBLE.
