My husband and I have been residents with Landis Pointe Apartments for almost 3 years and our overall experience with them has been awesome! The leasing office manager, Jean and the maintenance staff of the apartment are friendly, understanding and always helpful! They take great care in the up-keep of not only the building but it's people - always maintaining sincere and friendly relationships with everyone. There's a good reason why we’ve been living here for almost 3 years now!

We have lived in our apartment at Landis Pointe for over 5 years. It is the longest my wife and I have stayed in one place and we love it here. Just this past week I called to ask for help because I injured my hands. Within 3 days I had new lever style door handles on every door that I can open instead of knobs. The place is always clean. I have never had a problem with any residents. And the staff is always helpful.

We stayed at Landis Pointe for around 1.5 years and it was a very pleasant experience. It is pretty isolated from the hustles of the main road and the grounds are very well-maintained. Jean and Jason were both very co-operative. The apartment itself was pretty good with washer-dryer and dishwasher included. Also there was a fire-place which unfortunately I never used. And most importantly the rent was pretty reasonable for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment in that area. I loved Olympia and staying at Landis Pointe made it even more sweeter.

My husband and I have lived at Landis Pointe for 7 months and this is the best apartment complex that we have ever lived at. Jean (the manager) is always nice and willing to listen to your concerns. Jason (the maintance man) always has things fixed within a week at the latest. The grounds are always clean and well kept. There is a washer and dryer and wood burning fireplace in every unit. There are plenty of dumpsters for garabage and cardboard and regular recycling on the propery. The pool and exercise room is always well kept and clean. The apartments are very nice and in good repair. The rent is very reasonable. Another plus is that Jean will accept packages for you if you are not home at the time it is delivered. I would certainly recommend Landis Pointe Apartments to anyone looking for a quiet and clean place to live.

I've lived at Landis Pointe for about three years now and absolutely love it. It is very quite, not too many children and a lot of wildlife. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The manager Jean is very helpful and easy to reach. We have her cell number so even if she is off property, she is just a phone call away. There is plenty of parking, but you might have to walk a bit as people with a second vehicle favor parking in the closest visitor's parking spot instead of the lower plots. In all these years, our rent still hasn't gone up and we are on a month to month lease. I know people at the Talisman down the road cannot say the same. Landis Pointe isn't the fanciest or the the nicest place you can find, but it has heart, has a great rate, and overall is just a wonderful place to live. You would be hard-pressed to do better.

You can clearly tell who the managers are writing the reviews. BE WARY. USUALLY THE ONES THAT GIVE AN HONEST VIEW ARE REAL TENANTS!!!

A Great Place to Live
I happened upon the negative reviews by chance and immediately I'm taking the time to write my own because of how inaccurate the negative comments are. Management accessibility is one of the biggest positives of Landis Pointe. When I get a package, Jean personally picks up the box and carries it out to me in the office building foyer. We usually talk for a while just because she is genuinely concerned with all her tenants and is simply an interesting person. My friends have commented on how nicely maintained the grounds are and my neighbors are happy, friendly people that look out for each other - this includes the entire management team. I've moved many, many times because of work and this is one of my favorite places to live. Hopefully the reaction to the negative reviews shows just how much the opposite is true.

Warning - stay away
Because it is obvious by the wording that the current manager is not only writing her own reviews (100% recommended?) but also answering some of the replies anonymously, please be warned that if you are looking here to move in, DON'T. It's over priced and not taken care of in every area that matters. I could name all the specifics but it wouldn't matter or make a difference. Yes, I'm leaving as are many others. Don't be fooled by promises that are made when you look at an apartment here. Once you sign the lease, you're stuck living with the lies you've been told. You'll be sorry and be moving out as soon as you can. Jean, the so-called "manager", needs to be exposed for the phony liar that she has proven to be. She is gone as much as possible and does not do her job when she is here. I would prefer to be able to say only nice things but the above is the truth. Very noisy both from surrounding apartments and outside.

Great place to live
I've lived at Landis Pointe for five years and I have no complaints. Repairs are dealt with quickly and communications with the office are easy. It's mostly a quiet place and not a great choice if you have kids. (Any problems with the garbage and recycling - which are rare - are usually the fault of careless tenants, not the management.)

Getting RUN DOWN
Having been here a lengthly time I see such a deteriation of this complex. Maintence is slow and has to have several attempts to fix issues. Dumpsters overflowing, rude and very loud neighbors (by nature, the building is not soundproof as some people think. There is an old van with a flat tire that has not moved in about a month. After hours or weekends the management is MIA with her teenage son in her residence the only one on the property (if he is even here) to answer or assist with any medical vehicles, police vehicles, etc. Used to be a nice, quiet, well maintained place but not anymore. SAD indeed, very sad!

Stranded
This winter storm has caused havoc for all BUT....there has been NO SIGN of a snow plow and it is day 6 of snow and being stranded. This apartment complex is supposed to be the "upper end, luxury apartment homes" but the Section 8 welfare apartments are cleaned out, yet not here where the rent is high and it is NOT state funded. To have residents stuck in their homes for 6 days is absurd espicially when it would have taken 3 or 4 swipes with a snow plow when the weather began. Walkways have not even been shoveled and there has been no ice melt put dowm, if there were a fire or health emergency the authorities would not be able to get in here...that is a scarey thought!!!

sorry to go
We have lived at Landis pointe for almost 6 monthes and have enjoyed it for the most part. Of all the apartment complexes we have lived this one was definitely the best experience. My only problems were that the lowest level apartment is rather chilly all year round. And the upstairs neighbor has a tendancy to vacuum the whole house at 9:30 every night. Aside from that, the management has been awesome!! Very accomodating, friendly and willing to work with you. I also will miss the heated pool:(

Best Apartments in town!
I love it here, it safe, quiet, off the main road, people are friendly, managment is nice and helpful and involved, but not breathing down your neck - I love it here. Lots of older residents - we are probably the youngest couple here with a child, but everyone is great. I love the new managment - she's wodnerfully nice! it is very beautiful here with lots of deer and animals - no road noise at all and super clean!

How much more ridiculous can this get
I'm so embarrased to even have to read this site. I have lived at Landis Pointe for a few years now and I have to say that these reviews are immature and it sounds like a bunch of junior high school students are extremely bored. Casey and Jerry were long time managers and of course people became accustomed to them and their manager styles, but I didn't see any red "S" on their chests. Jean has done a wonderful job, in fact I have noticed many improvements being done and if your the only one working in the office,I'm sure there are times when you have to leave to run errands or God forbid eat lunch. So please Landis Pointe residents move on with your life's or move out, your adults and have choices, so make them. The rest of us appreciate the hard work that the new management team has given to us. Thank You Jean & Dayl!!!!! You are awesome.

Peyton Place
This site seems like a little Petyton Place so I may as well ad my 2 cents. It is a nice place, well maintained, nice apartments (although you can hear everything including your neighbor urinating), love the wildlife but have to admit, I have only been here 3 months. And I have to agree with most, the office is ususally closed, but if thats not an issye with you then I would agree with the rest who say come check it out.

Time to move on
I have lived here since the inception of LP and sad to say I am moving on to where I feel safe and can get the services I pay for. People who have posted to this site having only lived here a short time obviously lived in some less than desirable apartments prior to comming here. It is/was a wonderful place but as the previous posts state, that is RAPIDLY changing and it will only be a matter of months and this place too shall be like all the rest of the apartment complexes people are leaving and complaining about. LP has ALWAYS been excellently maintained so for someone to say "it was powerwashed".....big deal, that has always been a regular occurance here, we are not used to going 4 years without being cleaned, and for the record, it was ONLY car ports that were cleaned....LOOK AT THE BUILDINGS! I also agree strongly with the majority of the posters, the manager is rarely in the office and is almost never on the property on the weekend which poses a huge problem because who is there to take care of our needs when she is gone more than she is here. I understand change is hard, but in this case change is BAD and not making any signs of improving. I have not posted to this site giving her the benefit of the doubt but the neighborhood is rapidly declining and I am sad to say that after 12 years I am going where I feel safe and appreciated and where I can get service. The former managers kept a tight reign on the noise and solicitors which was appreciated by myself but that is not happening now, it is NOISY and there are strangers knocking on my door on a weekly basis selling something or another and in 12 years, I only had that one time prior! If I am going to pay top prices, I expect the manager to respond and take care of her duties to the residents and thats just plain and simple not happening so it is time to move on...too bad as it is a beautuiful property, unfortunately at this rate, that will be short lived. Don't be misled!!!

Love it here and sad to leave
I've only been here for a few months and have absolutely loved it. Due to a new job, I will have to relocate soon and highly doubt I will find a place as unique as Landis Pointe. This is heaven compared to where I used to live! Although I didn't establish a relationship with the old manager as others did (they left shortly after I moved in), I know she and her husband were very special. But honestly, I think the reviews about the new management are extremely unfair. She is trying very hard to do a good job and seems eager to please the residents. It wasn't long after she arrived the apartments were pressure washed. (That was NEVER done at my old complex where I lived for 4 years.) I had something that needed to be fixed in my apartment and the maintenance man fixed it the same day. I have 0 complaints about this complex. I looked around the area extensively before deciding on Landis Pointe -- there is nothing else out there like it. It is truly a haven and I will miss it very much!!

Downhill Spiral
I ertainly don't know how you can say it looks better when there is garbage overflowing, people parking where ever they want, obviously your parking spot has not been invaded, the buildings are FILTHY, take a look at the front of the 400 building! The club house and office is also VERY drity and was never like that before..I don't know what you are talking about but perhaps you need some new eye glasses. This is in response to the "anonymous" post of 7-16-07, be a bigger person, seems as though you are happy, let your name be out there unless you are friends of the managers as anyone who has lived here for any length of time is aware of what is happening.

New to the Complex
My family and I have just recently moved into Landis Pointe and feel that we couldn't have made a better choice of where to live. We love it here. Management is extremely nice and personable. She has always been in the office when we've needed her. We would highly recommend living here!

Landis Pointe is a great place to live
I have lived here since mid 2004. This complex is a wonderplace to live. The residents are friendly, and is located in a nice neighborhood in my opinion. The new management that just took over is very nice. She seems to know what she is diong, and does so in a very cheery and outgoing manner. I am very glad I chose this complex to make residence in, and for the time being, I would not choose any other living establishment.

Absent Management
I have been in this complex for over 7 years and planed on being here until I passed on but that has all changed. The new management is NEVER on the property and if there is a problem that is called to the office, first of all we are left to talk to the answering machine and there is never a return call, and absoultly nothing is done to resolve the problem. There is a quiet time rule of 10 PM which was always enforced strictly and that has also gone out the window, it has become a VERY noisy complex and once again, call the office and NO ONE answers to phone to address the problem. We are Seniors and appreciated the peace, tranquility, security and safety that Landis Pointe had in the past but when there is no manager on the premise 75% of the time, it is impossible to feel safe or secure or to expect anything to be done to correct any issues. I thought perhaps I was being critical but after reading the 2 posts in June with their added comments I became aware that I was not the only one in the prediciment of looking for new residence. The neighborhood is going downhill BUT....the rent hasn't!! If you want to reside in a place and pay top dollar and get NO service, Landis Pointe is the place for you!!!

We're Unhappy Now
I guess the new manager of about 2 months just doesn't care or doesn't want to put out the effort to take care of what used to be a lovely and wonderful complex that was well taken care of in all ways. The new manager lacks customer service skills and doesn't show warmth - she truly acts as if she doesn't want to be bothered to even show basic courtesy. The office and rec room are not being taken care of now either and are dirty. I've lived here a long time and stayed because I felt appreciated, safe and secure. I no longer feel that way and am in the process of looking to move. I hope that the owner (new owner too maybe?) is aware of how disappointing the new manager is and what a let down she is to us. She is rarely in the office but when she is, she acts like she'd rather not be! I wanted to give her a chance to get used to Landis Pointe and the people who live here but she obviously just doesn't care. I'll go someplace better and it's a shame what's happening here now.

Used to be wondeful
Landis Pointe was until new management came along an outstanding place. Yes there were rules, but that is what made it such a quality complex. The new management has become so lax on the rules, the quality is rapidly going donwhill. Noise levels increasing, traffic speeding through the complex, over flowing recycle bins, RUDE manager who is rarely in the office. Some comments posted on this site talk about how you better follow the rules if you live in this complex and that was true and that is what made it "OLYMPIAS FINEST"...PAST TENSE....It is going to hell in a hand basket when the management does not enforce the rules that made this a quality place it is now just another high priced mediocre apartment complex!
