Life st Capri

I recently moved here and was pleasantly surprised on how easy the transition was. Ms. Gonzalez was integral in making it such an easy endeavor. She goes out of her way every single day to make living here a pleasant experience. Whether it be saying Good Morning or helping decipher difficult paperwork. If Ms. Gonzalez is not here at the time I am due to renew my lease, I simply will not. She is amazing and makes living here safe and fun.

    A great place to live

    the neighborhood is a great place to live/if you like walking or running the canal is just across the street, your surrounded by great restaurants, also closed to CVS plus seven eleven and if you like gyms black steel is across the street owner is one great person, also a little history about capri on camelback back in the 1950s it was called Cudia city a movie set were they filmed gun smoke and wagon wheel/Monica and Greg give great customer service keep up the good job.

      Homeless Heaven

      The WORST complex and management team in all of AZ. The community is always dirty, DISGUSTING, and smelly. Homeless people roam the community and use the amenities like they are residents. There are police stakeouts monthly, something the management will never warn you about. There was an instance where a dog defecated in the elevator and it was left in there for TWO (2) entire days with the maintenance team and cleaners using the elevator during that time. The hallways are always filled with trash bags and various debris from residents, and absolutely disgusting at all times. Non-residents dump their trash in the dumpsters, making the trash situation even worse. My air conditioner was non-functional for an entire month and it took THREE (3) service requests to get them in there while my apartment was 82° in 115° heat.y STUDIO apartment did not dip below 80° inside all summer. My toilet was nonfunctional for an entire week and nothing was done about it through 2 maintenance requests, I had to call and beg for someone to come and fix it.         Timeira D. Is professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. Truly amazing

        I am a new resident to Capri and all I have to say is Timeira D. has truly been a godsend for me. I'm moving during a difficult time with my family, and she has shown so much compassion and empathy towards me and has helped me every step of the way. I'm very new to living on my own and have so many questions, and she answers each of them with patience and kindness. Anyone looking to tour, please request Timeira! You won't regret it!!

          Apartment not clean for move in

          Given keys and walked in to find the apartment dirty, took video and showed front office, they said they would send someone right away. Two days later still haven’t seen or heard from anyone. Asked front office if they could at least come fix sliding door ( takes two hands and whole body to open close it) screen won’t budge and they said no it will be at least a week! Warm welcome??? Bahhaha this place is a joke! Elevator broke half of the day during my move in ( I’m on the fourth floor). Don’t come here for “community “ environment. They get you in the door then forget who you are! Disappointed for sure

            DO NOT MOVE HERE! Our packages are stolen on the regular. Both our vehicles which we pay $70 a month to park have been broken into. Someone even stole my rims and tires from my assigned spot and i told The complex 5 times they did NOTHING and towed my car from the spot I pay for. You’re better off living anywhere but here! Homeless in San Francisco is safer!!!! Do not move here

                Cockroaches, homeless people sleeping in the hallways, stolen packages, no a/c in the winter and no heat in the summer (no control over the temps in the units whatsoever), leaks, no care or concerns from the office staff, hot tub has been broken for months, litter and dog ---- all throughout the parking lot and complex.. just overall a bad place to live. Would NOT recommend!!

                  DONT MOVE HERE ITS TOO HOT THEY TURN THE A/C OFF AND YOU HAVE NO CONTROL

                  Think twice before moving here it’s miserably hot because they don’t let you control the a/c until the summer. It’s nothing you can do about it because they only let you control the heat until the summer. I got this apartment because the price was reasonable but paying $1400 for a one bedroom apartment and not being able to control your A/C is not it. I just want to help people not make the same mistake as me because I’ve been burning up in the apartment for awhile and the fans don’t make it any better when it’s this hot. Before you move here I hope you take in consideration what I said.

                    WORST PLACE IVE LIVED

                    1. The owners don’t care about their tenants and actively make choices that harm them. Ex. You have no control over the temperature in your apartment and despite having 400 people on property there is NOT an air filtration system. In the summer the ac is so cold you have to wear LAYERS. In winter; it’s so hot you can’t sleep or breathe. I’m talking 85 degrees all the time, and you can’t change it at all besides opening up the window and letting the air in. (Which I’m okay with. That’s not the issue). The issue is that They have been painting the outside of the building and closing off the back window and door with layers of plastic for three days. There is no access to outside air without opening the back door or window. We are suffocating with the heat and horrible air circulation. 2. Our shower has been clogged since the day we got here, and after five work orders, not a single person could unclog it. It takes three hours to drain after a fifteen min shower. 3.                         Front office staff are the worst. Unprofessional and they don't care about the tenants. If you request a service call about a broken item, you can expect to wait a week or longer and they will only take action and send someone if you go a step further and contact the manager or the owner.

                          DO NOT MOVE HERE they like to upgrade the complex but dont care about you or your cars outside. Any they are racist here since Im black some tenants accused me of breaking into the pool. Security asking what my apartment number is. This is the 4th time my car has been broken into this time it has went to a new level now busting out my window. 1st time they stole my license plate and Capri stickered my car to tow it. 2nd time kids father came over to pick kid up they busted his passenger window out. 3rd time they stole everything even car change then unscrewed his grill off his car. 4th time somebody took my cover piece off my door handle to pick the lock. 5th time they broke into my car trashed it threw everything on the ground and lefted doors open.                               This place is ridiculous and they oughta be brought up on charges for charging 12-14 hundred dollars for a 400 sq ft studio apartment after all the bad reviews I've read on here, and I believe them. A subpar old complex taking advantage of the housing market problem to the tune of charging 400.00 more than they should. For a STUDIO apartment with a chiller system and a laundry room.                                 this was the absolute worst experience of my life, i still have nightmares. 1. lets discuss how i was walking to my apartment one day and stopped and watch maintenance walk past a rat burrowing into the wall. i screamed and started recording, and maintenance laughed and said if i dont bother him he wont bother me. ????? its a rat in our apt complex and thats your response?????? 2. turning on the sink first thing in the morning and having roaches come pouring out. literally 4 roaches just running up the side of my sink. i covered my sinks every time i slept and left my apartment after that. 3. i could hear the people 4 doors down at all times and everyone inbetween that. i could hear their baby crying, them taking a deuce in the morning, everything. 4. the heating/cooling system is a GEM LOL. it was mid november and my apartment wouldnt go up over 64 degrees, i emailed the front office and they let me know they can turn the heat on for my apt but i wouldnt be able to use the air conditioner at all because you can only run one at a… See More>

                                    Stay away from here they lied about the utilities being included with the rent they're not. George the Asian guy completely lied to me. Instead of paying $890 like I thought. I'm paying over $1,024 for a roach infested studio apartment. Where you have no control over your thermostat because its on a boiler system. So for the first 2 months I froze because their AC runs full blast non stop. I had to buy a portable heater thinking its ok because I thought the utilities were included not! was I in a big surprise. The walls are paper thin I can here my neighbors conversations and their music blaring all day and the guy next to me who constantly burps. Its the worst. This place is ------ it houses section 8 people who are. only paying $280 which I witnessed when I moved in. The police are here constantly here. Theres construction everywhere. The mailboxes just got broken into. Do yourself a favor don't make the mistake I made. I'm talking to a lawyer now to get me out of my lease. If not I'll abandon it and file bankruptcy. Anything to get out of this ---- hole.

                                      Since my last review got removed let's try this again. Do not move here, do not believe the tour that they give you. Do they mention that the fitness center is closed? That the pool closes every day at 5pm? Check out other apartments. It's not safe here, it's dirty, the staff is rude, maintenance requests are never completed, there are cops here daily and the owners, property management (Pinnacle) and staff do not care one bit about any of it or our wishes. They are falsely advertising and not providing amenities that they promised when you sign a lease.

                                        Staff has horrible customer service. Groundskeepers don't do there job correctly then want to wake you up with a loud leaf blower early am when everyone is trying to sleep on the weekends!! Maintenance is slow half the time you put in the work order they never look at it. Bugs and rats all over and in complex. Dryers and washers you have to pay for and they suck ---. Convince store never open up on time and guy takes like 30 breaks a day leaving you waiting there for at least 15 min each time. Gym still isn't set up as promised back in February. Crack heads outside. Don't move here! Save your time and money put it somewhere better.

                                          Initially I thought this was an awesome place to live. Well it turns out I was dead wrong!! They advertise central air um NO it's a chiller system they control and my apartment never cooled below 80 degrees period!!! And when they turned heat on it was too hot outside still so the one window and balcony door were open 24/7 to keep cool. Tina in the office is very rude and doesn't listen to the tenants whatsoever!! The whole management team is racist and quick to illegally serve 10 day notices without giving any documentation of complaint or anything to resident. Illegal!! I had a 12 month lease expires on the 11th month and they refused to do a 30 day holdover so I'll be homeless due to the negligence of the staff. Also there are rats, hallway smells all the time, cockroaches and a bed bug outbreak, your neighbors can hear everything you do due to cheap doors, It takes 30 days if they ever show up for maintenance repairs and it's sooo loud 24/7.                                             Have had a horrible time at the Capri. I have been counting down the days until my lease ends for the past 10 months. Ever since they switched owners the Capri has gone severely downhill. I've lived here over 2 years and am finally moving out this month. I'm embarrassed to tell people that I live there because of how bad it's been in the past year after Pinnacle bought the property from Greystar. Trash everywhere, everything is dirty, people drinking and smoking in the stairwells, beer cans and cigarettes all over the grounds (Especially around building D), random people walking around everywhere who are either drugged up or drunk, rats in the walls, and hallways filled with people's trash bags instead of in their proper trash cans. The air conditioning goes out all the time especially during the hottest parts of the year. Please do not move here. It is in a nice area but move into a different place in Arcadia and you won't regret it.

                                              Let's see.. When I initially moved in i did not have hot water for the first two weeks of living here, I sent two requests to fix what was going on with the shower before Someone came to fix it and even still the spout is constantly leaking water. There is a HORRENDOUS cockroach problem, which I again had to contact the office twice to fix, and the third time I saw the exterminator.. he had told me that the office said that it was a rat problem, so he only put out rat traps. I had to actually pay for, and treat the apartment on my own And even after that I found a TWO 3" cockroaches under my couch..After that, the 'A/C' went out for 1.5 months the reply I got was that it was a chiller system, and it just wasn't going to get any cooler. So I went out and got a portable And with my portable air conditioner running.. it is 86 DEGREES in my apartment with the highest being 89 degrees. Keep saying they are going to upgrade cooling system but care more about updating apartments to charge a lot of money for rent. Not worth it!!!!                                                   The location is great. At one time this place was probably fantastic. If I had to be honest, Greystar ran it into the ground. Pinnacle is just the management company and they aren't bad, Tina is really good and fair. Greystar did a good job at putting band-aids on until they sold the property. So the new owner,s I believe were part of a bait and switch. Got in over their heads and the rest is history. The place has dramatically gone down hill. You have drug deals going down, car break ins, laundry stolen , rats running around the grounds and chewing through drywall. Drug raids, huge police presence (officers actually told me to move out as soon as possible and take my kids north. what does that tell you?), people walking around like zombies-stoned out of their minds. One of my favorites was finding the used condom in the rocks between C & D building (kids saw too-gross!), not to mention the random needles in the parking lot. It's become it's own sanctuary city.
