We will be going on our third year at The Retreat at the Raven Apartment Complex, and to date have little to no issues with anything. The staff in the office are very friendly and most of all, Professionals. Kioni has a great demeanor and take scare of so much, it amazing how well he can keep this place running. The events they have here are worth going to, and that too helps the already tight nit community stay close. We watch out for each other here. The front office personnel Denise greets every one with a smile, and is a good compliment to the already excellent staff on hand. Maintenance is done by complex, so basically it a worry free environment. To date, everything the complex says it can, DOES!!! We will continue to be residents here until which point we get a house, until then...The Raven is HOME for us Taylors. Here at the Raven Apartments, we feel safe and secure, we would recommend the Raven Apartments to all.

FIRE THE GROUNDSKEEPER . i have been here two months and the same trash has been in front of my patio the whole time. love the office people u guys rock. parking sucks here though, but overall beautiful complex glad we moved here.

grounds sucks
i have lived here for over two years now and i love the place. especially the pool its so beautiful and clean, my kids love going swimming. the office is ok, usually takes a while to get an answer but they are very nice. the only thing i have a problem is the grounds, it used to be so clean, but who ever they got cleaning the grounds should get fired. i have had trash laying in front of my patio for weeks now, and the ramadas are so dirty, dont they clean it anymore. we used to grill alot but now when we go were disappointed with the flith and trash on the tables, fire the groundskeeper.

I AGREE
Yes, we love living here! I've been a resident for 7yrs., and love the current management and staff. Keone is the most friendly and outgoing person, who is compassionate and truly takes care of the community. He even knew that we needed more space with 5 of us in a 2 bedroom, and he gave us a fair price and upgraded us to a bigger place. The community does alot of resident activities that my kids love and I also enjoy the free brunch every month. Now that they have included high speed internet into all the homes, it's so much faster then Qwest/Centurylink, i do miss Directv though, overall its the best place to live and i can't believe how fast 7yrs. have gone by. My children go to school in Chandler and we still choose to live here and not change location. This is our home, where my 2 kids have grown up will always recommend this place to our friends and family.

Gota love those fresh baked cookies and coffee everyday! Don't worry in the summertime your packages will not burn up in the hot sun, management has a great system. This place is always on time... TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT... OH,by the way, there is bottled water on the premises for your water cooler, 5gal. only $1.25, WOW Iam gona miss this place, guess I'll have to stop by and visit...

Wish we didnt have to move :(
I have enjoyed my time here at the Retreat at the Raven. I wouldnt move if only my work was closer to home! All the neighbors I have come in contact with were friendly, as along with the staff. The apartment manager is also a neighbor and he kept his professionalism as the apt manager but kept it cool as an awesome neighbor. I loved the layout of our apt. We lived in the Toscana apt. The kitchen was large, each room well proportionate. LOVED HAVING A PATIO! We even had our own one car garage which was an awesome help with extra storage and who wouldnt love having their own covered individual parking spot! The apt cooled off quick in the summer and got toasty fast in the winter. The walls are kind of thin but we rarely ever heard anything! The pool and gym were well kept and always clean, as the same for the grills and landscaping. All in all, from downsizing from a nice spacious 2000 sq ft house to a 1300 sq ft apt. I felt comfortable with all the space we had. I never once felt crammed in a tight space, I loved my neighbors here more than the previous places Ive lived, and I honestly wish I didnt have to move! I most definitely recommend living here!

It's Perfect For The 2 Of Us!!
Before we moved into the complex, we were recommended NOT to move in by a couple of previous renters. Though we had our doubts, we still gave the Retreat at the Raven a chance. My boyfriend and I have been here for over a year and we absolutely love it! We've never had an issue with the office staff. Management is very considerate and takes his job very seriously! We have always been attended to in any situation without complications and I appreciate that kind of excellent service. Our room is very spatious and the pool is absolutely gorgeous. The views are magnificent and South Mountain is just across the way. Walking the complex, day or night, has never felt unsafe to us (courtesy patrol and a gated community as a plus)! School, work, shopping centers, restaurants, etc. are less than 5 minutes away, which makes it very convenient for us to get around! We've had the best experience at the Retreat at the Raven and definitely recommend giving it a chance! :)

I LIKE THIS COMMUNITY
I moved in 9 months ago and from the time that we got a tour from the time we got our keys, they have been awesome! The manager "Keyone" is really nice and friendly. He always has a smile and says hello when we see him when were getting our mail or driving by. Our 2 bedroom apt. is wonderful and spacious with huge closets. Our downstairs neighbor is sometimes loud but it is apt. living and most of the time the community is very quiet. The grounds are always clean and neat, pool is beautiful and i like the music at the poolside. Parking is sometimes hard to find as we have 2 cars and one assigned space. Maintenance is ok but don't ever smile or say hello. All my friends and family love the resort look and hopefully they have a referral discount. I would recommend this community even with some of the bad reviews. Our lease is coming up for renewal and "YES" were renewing, they even lowered our rent if we sign a 9 or 12 month lease, yuuup they lowered our rent!

Elephants
I currently live here... it is a beautiful place. The manager is really nice, and seems to care about the grounds. The only I complaint I have is that there needs to be something done about the ppl with pets, the walk around with their pets to let them out and they dont clean up after them. THAT ticks me off!! we moved in not too long ago, and the day we were moving in my son, stepped in it and tracked it into the apartment... THE VERY FIRST DAY! the only other complaint I have is that the flooring is VERY thin... I swear I live under elephants!! the couple above me is pretty small but OMG!! I have to turn up my tv just so we dont have to listen to it. and EVERY frkn morning at 630am.... SHE tramples down the stairs and wakes up my son!! geeeze. other than that. Its a beautiful place, I love it OH the parking DOES suck

HORRIBLE...SUCKS
1. Found small bugs inside. 2. Management staff very rude. 3. Poor maintenance and service 4. Very few parking spots. Individual parking # not properly enforced 5. Loud noise during nights. 6. Windows are not properly sealed, causes high electricity bill 7. Pet garbage everywhere. Never cleaned, stinks 8. Water bill is excessive 9. No choice for electricity and internet service provider. You have to go with SRP (electricity) and Qwest (Internet/Cable). They come up with very expensive service as they have to pay some percentage of bill amount to apartment management 10. Sales persons/Beggars often come at door and irritates. Management indifferent on this. 11. Office staff never informs about any mail received. One of my important Fedex package got lost from office. Probably they gave it to somebody else. 12. Tap water is dirty, particles are clearly visible inside water even with naked eye

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!
Don t ever think of renting this apartment. We were here for six months and so far most horrible experience in my life. The management staff was very nice until we moved in. Once we moved in, they suddenly turned to be very rude and misbehaving. The apartment was not ready on the date they promised earlier. That delayed our move in for one week. We couldn t back out at that point as we already paid the security deposit and application money. Once we moved in, we found everything messy. The carpet was not cleaned, bathroom commode was stained, shower was not working, window blinds were dirty and even the air conditioner was not working. Asking them about all these, the guy named Abraham told they cannot do anything and insisted us to take care of any issue on our own. As we signed a six months lease, we decided to leave just at the completion of six months. But the stay was not peaceful even. After few days, we found some cockroaches inside the closet. We also found a spider in the bathroom. Reporting to Abraham, he told us to take the sample to their office so that they can research on it. Probably, their research is still going on as I have not got any solution during my stay. One of the two treadmills in the fitness center remained non-working for our entire stay. Repeated requests did not yield any results. Though we had a designated parking spot, most of the time, somebody else was parking there. Management told they cannot do anything on this. We somehow managed to complete our six months term and moved out with a great feeling of relief. But our worst nightmare was still on its' way. Before moving out, we cleaned the apartment thoroughly and it was inspected by the management staff with no complains. One month after the move out, I received a call from a collection agency stating that I owe 1100 bucks to the apartmet management. They have claimed one month rent and 300 dollars cleaning fee from me. The rent was claimed because of insufficient notice period I gave. Though I gave notice with more than sufficient time (30 days), I did a major mistake not taking any receipt from them. And they had utilized my mistake very well. I had to pay this money for nothing as I didn t have any alternative. Later I found from one of my friend that they did the same thing for him and this is their usual practice. I have spent my worst time ever in the apartment and don t want anybody to go through the same suffering and pain. So, please don t even consider this apartment as your future home.

Not a good place for a family
These are supposed to be upscale apartments and the pricing is outrageous for what you get. We are in a 3bd upstairs apartment with our kids and our neighbor just moved in and has been making noise complaints left and right. The staff didnt tell her that she was moving under a family of 6 when she moved in and its caused nothing but grief. We have been here for 6 months and have not had any problems and now this. All the 3 bds apartments are upstairs which is always going to be a problem. The office staff is great. Pool is heated but still cold. Fitness center equipment is never clean and smells horrible. Parking is horrible in front where our apartment is because all the people on the backside of the building park there to be close to the gate. Garages are so tight we cant use because there is no room to get our car seats out. The price you pay for what you get is outrageous when they claim to be luxory apartments.

This is the worst apartment complex, I have ever lived in. The staff is a pain to deal with. I see why a lot of people move out as soon as their lease expires.

Yes, I would recommend the Retreat!
I moved here May of this year and have been very very satisfied. The location is perfect, freeways, grocery stores and malls are nearby. The staff is nice and professional, always friendly and available. The grounds are well maintained. My request for maintenance has been promptly taken care of. My floor plan is very spacious and with being on the 3rd level I have a view of Camelback Mountain and downtown Phoenix skyline! The fitness room overlooks the beautiful pool. The noise I have experienced is typical community living, nothing disturbing to complain about. Parking is good. I appreciate the monthly newsletter. I have owned my own home & rented apartments before and have worked for a property management company and I feel as a renter here the staff and the company are doing a great job in making me feel happy to live here.

People living there are changing. Many tenants are inconsiderate, loud, and leave a mess all over the place. They don't pick up after their dogs. It is becoming a bad place!

Noisy Place!
I have just moved out of there after one year because my noisy neighbors and noise all over the property did not allow me to get enough sleep. The place does not have efficient courtesy patrol, so even when you call and complain, nothing gets resolved. They are nice apartments but overpriced for the area. Overall, it is a "gated ------."

So far so good
I recently moved into a one bedroom on the 3rd floor and i just love my apt. My boyfriend and I have always seen the grounds kept clean, and staff always say's hi and ask how we are doing. The manager is awesome, when walks by everyone says hi to him like he's friends with everyone, which is nice. They have nice move in specials and we even got a free flat screen tv. I go to school so i live the location. Other residents seem to be friendly and nice, sometimes it gets a bit loud on the weekends. I've recommended this place to my friends and family.

Not as good as it looks
Since Mark Taylor was here, this complex has taken a steady turn down hill. Everything from the quality of the grounds, to the residents moving in. The new manager himself isn't bad at all, but rest of the team is not at all impressive. They've also lowered the rent to get more people in, so the people moving in now are just not quality, responsible, respectful people. This place used to be quiet, now there's shouting all times of day or night. The new residents are loud, disrespectful, and you have to love the smell of weed in the morning... My neighbor even had her car broken into a few months ago. I actually moved here with the high rent at $860 for a one bedroom to avoid some of these people, now i guess it's time to go... My rent bill is always wrong, actually in my favor because they applied someone else's payments to my bill, at least five times. So closely monitor your payment history The grounds are okay, there are no bugs, but I have often seen mice running around outside. but seeing that there's a golf course behind us, and South Mountain in front, I suppose that can be expected. The walls are thin, so expect to hear your neighbors having sex at night... There is ALWAYS something broken in the fitness center, and you'll wait weeks for it to be fixed. You're forced to use QWEST for your DirecTV and Phone, and if you've had problems with quest before, you know how quality their service is. And quest will charge you an extra $10-$15 a month just to have DirecTV, then charge fees that DirecTV wouldn't for installs and service changes

WORST PLACE EVER
This has to be one of the worst areas, You here guns going bang bang all night, Looks nice people are just plain nut to want to live here. Sure it looks nice but wait til about 2 am just wait and see. I would never ever recommend this place to not even my worst enemy, management does nothing, the no grill rule, well walk along the back side towards the golf course you will see thirty grills on back decks. I am handicaped and cant even park in my spot because so many people keep parking there. Rent is outrageous for what you get. And that guy in the office wow.... On The lease it should say rent at your own risk.

Seriously Disappointed!
I moved here from California in January and with little time or money I moved here. Outdoors it was very nice, even the floor plan wasn't so bad. But after living here for 7 months, I cant wait for my lease to be up! People are constainly parking in my spot, I complained to management and they did nothing. My neighbors are extremly noisy, and there are very thin walls. The people with the balcony next to mine smoke weed and yell at 2 in the morning. This place has turned into a party capitol. There are parties almost every night and they blast music at the pool. When I called security he did nothing about it, He was some little boy that does not make me feel safe. Did I mention this place is in the ------! But I guess it is south phoenix so it makes sense. The new management here sucks. All that gay man cares about is making people like him, he has stupid parties and doesn't know how to actually be a manager. I mean game night, seriously, how gay is that. I am in college, I am not like these other dumb kids that live here. I study and work hard, and just want to live in a nice quiet place. I have also been looking at new apartments. This place is seriously overpriced. I can get a 3 bedroom in scottsdale for less then this.
