horrible place to live
worse apartment ive ever lived in! horrible parking- good luck getting to park near your door. in my buildings parking lot theres a guy that parks all three of his cars right up front and never moves them. crime- my car has been broken into-twice (window smashed out and all). my friends car was broken into three times while living here. a neighbors car was broken into and she said she knows two others as well. managment refuses to aknowledge there is a crime issue. no green card? ok! i heard a leasing agent tell a man that if he doesnt have a green card then its ok with them. that just doesnt sit right with me. my ac unit is hooked up wrong which makes my ac bill $200 a month when i barley run it. managment wont even come look at it, xcel guy said it was the ac, when i went to talk to them they were extremely rude to me, talking down & claudine (the main manager) *literally* called me stupid for thinking i knew more about ac's than their highly (ha) trained staff. they dont turn the ac on in the summer until your practically melting on the… See More>anonymous

It's not so Bad
Just wanted to say I've lived here for over two years now and yes they have swept out management staffing however I have never had any issues. Everyone in the office is always willing to help in any way. Maintenance staff has been there to help even after hours. No issues with violence! If you have bugs just call and they'll send someone in to spray and if they come back maybe it's you and your living conditions. Rent is cheap, facility is clean for the most part, lots of play area I mean what do you expect for the price your paying? You want High class than go pay an arm and a leg and see how great their Customer Service is. I will re new lease again!

Roach Ranchers, You'll love it here!
Management is the pits. Nothing gets fixed on time or right, the first time. Roaches and other insects galore await you. My apartment flooded, through the foundation, resulting in $762.00 loss they refuse to cover. I asked for another apartment, they told me I had to move myself at my expense. They will find any excuse they can to withhold your deposit! If you love pot no need to buy, just open your windows. Third district police headquarters defined Windsor Court Apts., as the most crime complaints in the district.

It's Still Roachborough, No Matter How Often They Change the Name
I lived in this complex when it was Rockborough Apartments, from 1995-1996. Absolutely horrible then, even worse now! The first clue of how bad it was happened when I moved in. They gave us a different unit than the one we expected, and I had to call the phone and utilities companies to switch the unit. We renamed it Roachborough for a reason. I had roaches in my apartment almost the entire year I lived there. It was horrible. Also, the water was shut off because of a water main break and they didn't help the residents at all. The window in my front room was broken by kids kicking a soccer ball, and it took several days for the "management" to fix it. Two gangstas were fighting in the laundry room and broke the windows. We saw many people in the complex who looked like the Living Dead from the cemetery next door. They've given this place two new names (Highline Terrace and now Windsor Court), but it's still the same disgusting dump. Also, they found asbestos a few years ago and made ALL of the residents move out. Then the new company bought it and painted it over.… See More>anonymous

Seriously. Don't move in.
It's honestly not worth it. Terrible management. I've had sooo many problems with the place. They don't fix anything, it doesn't matter how many times you ask. Right now in fact, I have no water because it's leaking into the downstairs apartment. I was supposed to have a hotel room last night on Windsor Courts tab. Guess what? I went to the hotel and they didn't have a room for me. Let's not forget the rumored meth labs and asbestos. I do say rumored, but would you like to chance it? It's all ------- not worth it, seriously. You're doing yourself no favors if you sign that lease. You do not want to live here. There's a reason no one renews their lease. I can't say it enough, don't.

Asbestos Forces More Families Out Of Homes Hotel & Meal Vouchers To Go To Displaced Tenants DENVER (CBS4) The Denver Department of Human Service will begin distributing hotel and meal vouchers to displaced tenants of the Highline Terrace Apartments Monday morning at the temporary American Red Cross shelter located at George Washington High School. Three apartment buildings undergoing renovation were evacuated Saturday after tests turned up asbestos dust. Approximately 300 units were evacuated Sunday due to possible asbestos exposure. There was no immediate estimate of when they could return. Highline Terrace Apartments is located in Denver at Leetsdale and Quebec. About two weeks ago, the state health department received a complaint of possible asbestos contamination at a 15-building complex that includes the three buildings, health officials said. Initial test results were positive for asbestos residue in hallways, stairwells and in debris from trash bins at the three buildings, although the results were below the state limit for allowable asbestos level. The state inspector nevertheless ordered the evacuations because of renovation work involving asbestos. Test results from the other buildings were pending. Denver's Municipal Animal Shelter was temporarily housing displaced pets. ( 2006 CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved. everyone is crazy
it's not the best apartment or management staff i've ever lived in/with, but for the price, the perks and the space,... i LOVE living here! i get an 1000 sqft apartment for $600 a month. it's an old building, so it's insulated very well. my xcel bills have never gone over $75 a month, where in my old, (very nice and expensive apartment), they were nearly $200 a month. if you need to save some money, there are many things to take into consideration. i have a tub that no one except me has ever stepped foot into before, a toilet that no one has ever peed in before, a sink that no one has ever spit into before and carpet that no one has ever clipped a toenail onto before. the management staff WILL NOT do what you ask for them to do if you do not bring them a piece of paper with the request,... or contact the manager directly,... but do these things and whatever you need to be done will be done. also, to whomever complained about the no heat fiasco,... um,... they, (the management staff), paid for anyone who wanted to to… See More>anonymous

Do NOT move in !!!
I strongly do NOT recommend this apt. Buildings are too old (please do not being deceived by new PAINT) and apt management is terrible. I moved in this apt this summer. At that time apt manager said "we newly renovate, so everything is perfect." This is a perfect lie. They said, this apt is 'newly renovated and remodeled.' They must learn the concept of renovation and remodeling. They may think that "REPAINTING" is a renovation. After move in my unit, just a few days later, my bath was leaked. They fixed it "2 months" (not 2 days) later. During that time I went leasing office and asked them to fix it. Management always ignored my request; they always said we will fix it TOMORROW. Another big problem is that, leakage problems are happen other apts. I saw and heard at least 2 rooms had same problems. I think that inside of the walls and pipelines have big problems, once again do not being deceived by new painting. Now, many residents did not use heating system. Yes, heater is not working now. They are fixing it but some apt will be finished this Friday. Last weekend (first snow) about 50 families stayed in hotel (apt paid money). Many buildings' heating is not… See More>anonymous

Condemned
About 2 years ago I went on a search to rent an apartment. I took a friend with me for a second opinion. We visited this complex and we were both extremely mortified. The girl in the office had her baby and her baby's daddy in the office with her (very unprofessional). Then we went to go see the model unit and we were speechless. I have never seen a more horrific sight as I did that day. Needless to say we fled and never went back. However, I did notice that the entire property seems to be condemned as I was driving down Parker/Leetsdale. Guess that explains a lot right there....

I only visted...thankfully!
I visited my friend at these apartments and can vouch for everything posted thus far. The hallways smelled like piss and were so poorly lighted that you could easily be mugged at night and never see it coming.

The bathrooms had cracked tiles and fixtures were hanging out of the walls unsecured. Water pipes were leaky.

The other residents are generally in poverty and shady to say the least. I'm really surprised that my car didn't end up on blocks in the 3 days i was there or worse.

Really...if you have ANY other choice, that includes the option to live out of your car, do it! Save the money, hassle, and embarassment of ever living there.

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!!
This by far was the worst renting experience I ever had. After having my place (on the first floor) broken into two times in 24 hour period I have developed a concern for my well-being and my property. The sewage water was breaking through the carpets in the hallways which ifested my unit with terrible odors, homeless people are sleeping in the loundry room. The unit was infested with bugs. The trash is everywhere icluding hallways and storage rooms. The managment has been the worst, they only care that you pay them rent!!! Drug adicts swarm the complex. Multiple shootings and theft. It may sound unrealistic but if you see the place for yourself you will never want to live there and not make the mistake i had. Anyways DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY HAVE TO PAY PEOPLE TO LIVE THERE AS SOME KIND OF SICK EXPERIMENT....

only one thing... gett... oh...
I lived in these apartments for a year and half. The only thing that was okay was the price. When I moved in no maintenance was done. They had one whole month to do all this and nothing. There were tree limbs in the dinning room and charming burn holes in both kitchen & bathroom floors. The management are some of the most unagreeable people I've ever encountered. They never ever worked with the residence. One whole complex was deemed by the state unlivable but they put people in it. The smell in that building was terrible and they never fixed the central air. The neighbors went from okay to crackhead central. My last set of neighbors before I moved killed and butchered a pig in the front lawn. Their kids destroyed to hallway 24/7. They also urinated all over the building. We called the cops multiple times on this family and management did nothing. I would say save your money and go else where.

Living in the Slums
The hallways are filthy. The occupants are druggies. Domestic disputes are very common. In the last month alone, there was a murder and a unregistered sex offender taken to jail and several breakins and thefts. The grounds are strewed with trash. The lawn is unmanicured. The police are here several times a day. There have been many days where there has been no water. Maintenance does not show up. The people who work in the office pretend you are not there. The manager, Jennifer hides in her office. If you have a problem the leasing agents say you have to talk to the manager. The manager does not return phone calls and cannot be found. After the spring snowstorm of 2004, my ceiling split open and water dripped onto the carpet. It took 6 weeks to fix and that was only after I called the city inspector and he did the neccesary threatening for it to get fixed and then it was fixed on the very last day. One morning I looked out my window and saw a kid rifling through my glove compartment in my car. I yelled at him and he slowly sauntered away and grabbed a… See More>fbeck

disgusting, drug-infested hell hole!!!!
For some reason I will never understand, I have lived at Highline Terrace (aka "filthy urban crack ------") for 3 years come August, 2005. I will do everything in my power to make sure when my current lease expires, I am GONE! I just hope I don't get jumped, robbed, or shot until then! This place is disgusting.

I have read every review about H'line, and they are all 100 correct. Maintenance is a joke, management is inept, greedy, lazy, and impossible to contact. The hallways of the buildings are filthy. Cigarette butts line the halls; doors have no doorknobs. The lowest common denominator of humanity tends to live here (what's my excuse? I'm a teacher! I ain't rich, you dig?). Do yourself a favor and STAY THE HELL AWAY!!!

New management!! Still the worst place in Denver!!
My girlfriend and I moved in March 2004. As I've posted in previous comments how Hellhole Terror on Parker is the worst apartment community in the Denver Metro Area. Why? Because management lets anyone in here. They don't do any credit check (which is good because we have bad credit) but they also don't do a thorough criminal check. My girlfriend and I turned in our applications and paid the necessary fees and within 30 seconds, we were approved. A thorough criminal background check takes DAYS...not seconds. We got a new manager a couple months ago. She posted memos on all the doors introducing herself and telling us how she's gonna really clean up the place. She even opened the leasing office 7 days a week! For 2 weeks! Now, the office is closed all weekend. As far as I know, this is the only apartment community in the Denver area that isn't open at least 6 days a week. The problem is this, the office team is very VERY lazy and the ONLY thing they care about is receiving rent. They can't keep track of… See More>conewman

Stay Away
In three years, we have had both cars broken into, gone 6 weeks without heat - durring the 2003 Blizzard (47" of snow) no less, waited a minimum of 8 weeks to recieve a response on any maintenence request, including one involving flowing water from a leaking pipe in the apartment above us (still not fixed), constant noise, music, drugs, etc. Ice remains in the parking lot throughout the winter, as it is not plowed, niether are the sidewalks shoveled. The landscaping has more broken glass and trash on it than grass. The Leasing office is frequently empty, making it very difficult to get maintenance requests fufilled, or contest your eviction notice that they post AFTER they have cashed the check and neglected to make the proper notation on the computer. Please save your self a lousy expierence and keep looking.

Things just got worse!
Our air conditioner quit working over Labor Day Weekend. The temperature was in the mid 80s and is supposed to remain there until September 20th or so. I wrote a letter to management telling them the AC is not working nor is the shower working as it should. 2 days later they send a maintenance guy to take a look. He fixed the shower but said the A/C needed to be recharged with freon. He said that the manager won't purchase any freon. My wife told the maintenance guy that we have gone 4 days and nights without A/C. He told her that there are several apartments in the complex that haven't had working A/C all summer!! I call the manager and she tells me an air conditioning company will be here the next day. The guy gets here and says, "Whoever wired this A/C unit didn't know what they were doing." He then proceeded to rewire it. After 3 hours of trying everything to get it to work he says the entire unit needs to be replaced. I'm going to call the manager in the morning to… See More>leslieweb

I agree with all comments thus far
I feel so sorry for the couple from California!! I am in a similiar situation, I looked the place up on the internet as well. It is horrible! I have called various organizations to complain and have yet to see any results. I even had a hole in my ceiling for over a month! It is pretty bad and deserves to be shut down! Nothing goes right, and the hot water is off all the time in our apartments too. Plus the A/C doesn't work. Terrible place, hopefully these ratings will keep someone from buying!

This complex is good...........FOR NOTHING
I have never lived in a ------ before, now I know what it feels like.

The manager is absolutely worthless unless of course it is to collect rent. My family has talked to her many many times about having the tall kid that walks around with a cell phone pick up around his assigned building, IT IS NEVER DONE. The black dude, I was told he is the maintenance supervisor, is good at making promises but never comes back to do them.

They do have a couple of good maintenance people here but they seem to overwork them and underwork the other ones. BAD MANAGEMENT IS THE KEY HERE.

JUST ONE WORD OF CAUTION: DON'T COME!!!!!!

It can't get any worse, right?
Lookin for a nice place to call home? Better look elsewhere! This place is THE WORST in Denver. This is my second review in the past 3 months but some new things are worth mentioning.

1) Still no water-pressure in the shower.
2) About a month ago, someone used a crowbar to break into our mailbox. It took management a week to fix it! Even after telling them it is a federal law they provide us with a working mailbox.
3) Someone smashed in the passenger-side window in our car and stole our stereo. The crazy part is, the face-plate wasn't even in the car!
4) This woman moved in 2 weeks ago. My wife works with a close friend of her's. The woman who moved in has no job and 4 or 5 children. Of course, she doesn't have a man to help her either. So its nice to know I'm helping pay her rent with my taxes. She's thrown a party both weeks since she's been here. Last night around 11:30 I had the great pleasure of waking up to people yelling and screaming. This… See More>Bristol
