For the survey, I selected 2010 as my move-in year because there was no option for earlier years. I moved here back in 2000 because of the welcoming environment and the care shown to residents, and over the years, that feeling has only grown stronger. The apartment management and maintenance staff have consistently been so kind, reliable, and supportive?they truly feel like family to me.

The front office is always very helpful and the maintenance staff is excellent. Overall I have lived here almost 3 years and I've had no big issues. The neighbors are kind too! One recommendation I would have is improving upkeep of the apartment building for example I remember for months the fire alarm would just blast at random times.

It's an old but friendly apartment. Great location for work and school. Walking distance to grocery stores, metro stations, and sightseeing spots like the Lincoln Memorial. One thing that could be improved is to improve the maintenance of facilities in apartments.

The management and office staff staff was extremely rude, disrespectful and overall I had a horrible experience renting in the Potomac park building. If I had known this before I would never have gone with a bernstein property. They forced me to pay an additional $450 (in addition to the forfeited rent) when I had to move out because I was forced to leave the country due to my Visa expiration. I wrote numerous emails, called, went to the office multiple times to plead that I couldn't afford to pay this. They also tricked me because they already had other renters lined up to take the apartment and did not want me to sublease it out (which my contract allowed) for the remaining duration of the agreement which would have allowed me to avoid the $450. They first said it was fine and we can talk the next day but in the meantime they showed the apartment to someone else without my permission and signed the rental agreement with them on the same day! I was forced to move out early and had to pay the additional amount. They even threatened me saying that I couldn't complain because otherwise they would take me to court and this was a large company with many lawyers...

Just moved in the studio. Great building with great location for this price. The appearance was clean, paints, floors and amenities looked like new. Pretty satisfied. The only concern is a small parking lots which is common in Washington DC

Potomac Park is a great location on Foggy Bottom. Rooms are spacious and staff is courteous. Although Foggy Bottom is very much a city location and has its sirens and street pests, Potomac Park is clean and very quiet. I would live here again.

I just moved in and I already love it! Excellent condition and community alike! The management staff here is fantastic and they put up with me calling them many, many times prior to moving in. The building is clean and updated and I am very proud to show my friends and family where I live now! Definitely recommend Potomac Park!

Great location. Within walking distance to GWU. Staff was very helpful and took care of all my questions before and after the move promptly. My repair request was taken care of right away and the apartment was cleaned very well when we moved in!

My experience here has been very satisfactory. Staff have been helpful and nice all the time. Common areas are clean, however elevators smell bad all the time. People that live in the building seem nice as well and I feel really safe living there..

I really enjoying living in Potomac Park. The common areas are extremely clean, the maintenance team is professional (especially James), and there have been great updates made to the facilities since I moved in. Location is unbeatable close to State Department, the National Mall, and White House and convenient to many bus stops. I'd highly recommend Potomac Park to a friend.

So far so good, since I have been living here only for less than 1 month. The staff were very friendly on both my move-in date and afterwards when I came in with questions and requests. The building is a bit old, as my apartment hasn't been renovated.

Consistently helpful and professional management and housekeeping staff, along with the timely provision of services without much disturbance and as per the resident's convenience. Well maintained toilet in the laundromat and roof-top accessibility hours is well appreciated.

I am pretty happy with my apartment. Good location, large apartment, plenty of natural light, thick walls, washers and driers that work well, clean and no bugs. Compared to the places I used to live, I think Potomac Apartments are much nicer.

I just moved in, but have had good interactions with the staff so far. Apt was clean and nicely turned over from the previous tenant. Kitchen/bathroom are dated and a little dingy; everything works well though. Main complaint is that some management practices make things harder than necessary, like requiring a money order or cashier's check for the first month's rent and the safety deposit, and not allowing an online payment or regular check at the beginning. The hassle is worth it because this is a pet-friendly community and the fee (one time $150) is not outrageous, which can be tough to find in DC.

The community seem to be fine though this email was sent within 3 days of moving in. We knew what we were getting with the apartment considering when it was built. Its a solid place to live especially with the rooftop access and the in house gym.

The community is diverse and respectful, as well as clean, coordinated, and organized. It is a comfortable place to spend time and is generally quiet and relaxed, which makes it a great place to come home to in the middle of the downtown Foggy Bottom area.

The apartment is clean overall. There are sometimes noise in the night but that does not happen very often. Pretty quiet community except for some. They have parking lots as well. But you need permits to park so any guests should street park.

This is a good unit in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. The staff is professional and responsive. Studios have good square-footage and the common areas are kept clean. There have been some issues with packages being left unattended, but overall, I'm satisfied.

Expirience is good. nice young crowd in general, clean. The staff is very welcoming and professional. Any situation I might have faced has been resolved quickly and professionaly. Building manager lives in the building which is a huge advantage, plus she is very friendly and has vast experience with the community and area. the only noise proble that can appear is in if yo uare lookign towards the 21st street, as ther eis lalot of traffic hence the noice. However, overall I do like this building and hope to stay there longer.

Very convenient to work. Nice staff! Great location to metro, restaurants, and groceries stores! Love the rooftop and the view! Love the size of the studio. Everything that I need at the moment of my life fits into my new home. I am happy with my decision that I made!

I am genuinely surprised by all of these positive reviews, as my experience living in The York has been extremely unpleasant. The building as a whole is outdated, has no security, and smells bad most of the time. The walls are thin, so I hope you like hearing your neighbor in the bathroom every morning. You can't control the thermostat or temperature in your unit, and the electricity cuts out frequently (which is annoying if you have cold goods in the fridge.) There is a recurring mold problem, and my cabinets fell off the hinges on a weekly basis. This building really needs to be gutted and renovated - it's almost 80 years old, and you can tell! I couldn't wait to get out of here, and I felt like I had been a victim of highway robbery after seeing how well my friends were living in surrounding buildings for only $100-200 a month more per month. I wouldn't recommend this building to a friend, I deeply regret signing a lease with Bernstein Management.

The location is very ideal, being close to the George Washington University campus, several grocery stores, the monuments, and within walking distance to Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Chinatown, as well as running and hiking trails, and many monuments.
