I am very dissatisfied with the rooftop situation. There is no reason this cannot be left unlocked at all times for our use. Some kids who live in the building told me they were going to unscrew the windows to access-that they do it all the time!

The convenience of the location of this Apartment to go and come from the GW University is one of the most attractive factors to choose this APT even though the rent fee is somewhat expensive. However, it would be a lot better if the rent fee would be calculated prorated basis.

The community has excellent location on Foggy bottom, which as a college student, is essential. The cleanliness is also very maintained, and has an adequate noise level at all times that is not disturbing. It is also very spacious for a studio which is something I cannot complain about.

I have lived at Potomac Park Apartments (Bernstein Management Corp) for a little over 10 months now. I like the location with respect to my work and the rest of the city. The staff is very helpful and is always accommodating. The rent is a little pricy but that is expected for Washington, DC.

The community is very good. Maintenance staff respond very quickly after I requested for service. The only annoying problem is noise. Occasionally truck of the hotel which is next to the apartment works early in the morning, creating a lot noise.

It's a very safe, clean, community in the city which I appreciate. The management is courteous and respectful and always ready to help if any residents need anything. I have never faced any issues in my time living within this community and would happily recommend it to anyone in the neighborhood.

I have lived here for 2 years and have NO complaints. The facility is always clean and staff is friendly, polite and prompt in providing service. Paula is absolutely wonderful to work with and has accommodated any request I've had (renting parking spaces, reserving part of the roof for a family gathering, promptly responding to my request for a letter of reference). I originally began living here because it was convenient as I was a student at GW. If I weren't relocating to a new city, I would have continued living here!

I have really enjoyed living at Potomac Park. The staff is always courteous and helpful and very prompt in answering any concerns. The building is in a great part of DC--very close to the national monuments and popular DC attractions. The Potomac Park community is very respectful and nice. Overall, this building is great.

I moved in about a week ago and I absolutely love it! The staff are friendly and the location is great. I particularly love the natural lighting and the wood floors (easy to clean). The location is pretty ideal too - you are only a quick walk from the National Mall, the Foggy Bottom metro stop, and shopping.

I enjoy the view from my room--one of the key selling points that convinces me to move here as opposed to other apartments. The move in process was quick and efficient. I would recommend this apartment complex to all of my friends. It is a nice place to live for short term apartments.

It has been fine. We don't really like that our packages get sent back after 3 days. We all work or have class during the day and we can not always pick up our packages right when they arrive. We also didn't receive an email when the payment portal was changed and we were unable to pay our rent.

I have been at the Potomac Park Apartments for a few days now and am having a good experience so far. I enjoy the area in which the apartment complex is in and the staff has been very helpful. I still need to explore the area a little more

The Potomac Park is great place to live, located in the heart of downtown, it has very good neighborhood. The staff and especially the maintenance staff are very friendly, helpful and handles everything (based on my experience) very quickly and with high quality. I definitely recommend this place to live.

This building is nothing more than a college dorm. Parties every night until the wee hours of the morning. Management could care less about the noise problem and have been completely unresponsive to our complaints. One morning I walked out of my apartment and laying on the floor near the elevator was a used condom (classy). The apartment we moved into was filthy, when they refinished the floors they put he wax right over the dirt. The air conditioners have a problem with drainage so you can look forward to having stained ceilings from the upstairs neighbors air conditioner leaking. You can smell the mold all summer until the air conditioner is shut off. The laundry room is nowhere near adequate and the college kids leave their laundry in the washers and dryers for days. If you are lucky enough to get a washer or dryer, check the inside for crap the kids have left behind (lipstick, eye pencil, chapstick) or your clothes will be ruined. There is a trash room on every floor, and you should see the way the kids leave the trash - they don't even put it in trash bags. Lately we have seen roaches and have to keep a constant supply of roach traps. You can also look forward to people constantly moving in and out every semester. The kids leave all there unwanted belongings in the hallways, and the noise is horrendous. Also, management lets three of these kids live in a one bedroom apartment. The neighbors next door have a ping pong table set up in the living room instead of furniture, so you can imagine the noise their downstairs neighbors get.

It has been wonderful so far! I am so glad that my friend recommended that I move into Potomac Park. There has been no noise complaints at all. I do recommend replacing the system for putting money on your laundry card. You should be able to use credit cards too!

Potomac Park living has been one of the best experiences I could ask for! The size of my apartment and value have been exceptional for the area and the staff have always been quick to respond when any issues have ever arrived. Highly recommended!

Don't waste your time
First, I am very new to DC. I was looking for a studio apartment and went to view an apartment at this location. The tour was pretty ok. I saw a few things I didn't like, but the 'deal' was so good that I decided to take the place. Well, the day I went to do the application the office accountant (huge lady) had the NASTIEST attitude with me and my boyfriend. She completely took back the 'deal' I was supposed to get. And for the amount of what they wanted for a studio--I said to her face "Woman, please, I could go and find a much better deal in a better location for this amount." I can't believe they treated me that way. I feel sorry for the tenants there. I am so happy I left. The place is a slum.

Can't wait to move out of here.
If you can afford NOT to live at Potomac Park Apts, I highly suggest you do so. The staff is ignorant, rude and well...just downright uneducated. For over six months, the manager, every month will tell me I underpaid my rent, yet I had the carbon copies from the checks I wrote with the correct amount written and my bank statement proving they took the money out of my account. Who hired these idiots? The maintenance people, although very sweet, do not speak English, so naturally when trying to explain there is water leaking into my apt from the one above - there is a language barrier. Their idea of "fixing" or "solving the problem" is simply putting on a new coat of paint. The halls, doors, elevators (when they are working) are repainted every couple of months. Rather than cleaning them or fixing any cracks, they just paint right over....magic, right? If you like AC, in Washington's humid 95F weather, look elsewhere. I have a thermom inside my apt, it currently reads 92F, at 9:00am. See there is a catch in the "ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED"...it should state, "All Utilities Included As We Deem Appropriate". The AC doesn't turn on until May, yet the weather in DC starts warming up in April sometimes even March. It is a month long endurance of your apt being so hot the floors actually being to sweat. I haven't had a good nights sleep in about 6 days, just too damn hot. Now....when the AC finally is turned on, plan on having it break at least 3 times a summer. For some reason, the management can't find a decent company to fix the problem for good. Okay, well if after reading this, you still want to give Potomac Park a chance, good luck and a word of advice - Speakup! Go to the office everyday until your apt looks and runs exactly how you want it. Threaten to contact higher management if necessary, just don't be passive..you'll pay a lot of money for nothing if you do so.

Find a Way Out
This was my first apartment and it is only marginally better than living in a dorm. The staff are ridiculous! They take 2 hour long lunch breaks, are completely incompetent and are always taking smoke breaks. They all have bad attitudes and have no idea how to work in a service industry. It is a nightmare having to deal with them. Avoid at all costs.
