It has not been great. The air conditioning was the problem for several months, between 78? - 80? $300 electric bill. It was fixed properly after doing a survey. Now mice, sent exterminator out 4 times but problem prosists.

Like I said in my comment before I love it here for me the rent is very reasonable and I thank God for that and the staff is very nice Lynette and the maintenance people are very good to me and the people in the communities speak and it's good to me so I really don't have a complaint if I do I know how to call anyone on the staff and let them know what's going on if I had any complaints about anything but so far I've been pretty good and I thank you again

I really the community. It is quiet, clean and safe. The maintenance requests are resolved promptly. The dumpster is kept emptied and cleaned. The management are friendly and respectful. I will recommend this apartment to anybody I know looking for a place to rent.

The community has been quite nice. Please quiet for civil seventh. An outdoor inhabitants, responsible people veterans. I have just noticed one incident that happened. And we're all informed bye the administration or management. If I could say about the conjugal discrete? Not late Weapons Drawn out, but he was taken care of by the police. That's why in my previous comments, I spoke about some kind of deep background. Check from the previous area that they had lead before moving in to the new community.

Great staff, quiet complex, although surveys with a minimum character limit, forcing me to be overly verbose when I don't have much to say I find to be vexing as I find brevity to be much more efficacious than otherwise.

Great community!!! Neighbors are to themselves. I would like to get to know my neighbors. Just for emergency purposes if needed. The grounds are kept neat and tidy always. Never any problems. I love where I live.

I've have a great experience living in appleby apartments. Everyone is kind and courteous. The property is maintained extremely well. Grass always cut no random trash lying around. Genuinely a very nice community to live in.

Very pleasant so far! A quiet and attractive community. It's also pretty clean. The apartments in Appleby Apartments are spacious and the balconies are beautiful. There is plenty of parking the area I'm at. And the maintenance staff here are pretty efficient. Overall, I'm happy here and I haven't had many issues.

In the whole time living there I had a pleasant stay. Staff was very nice. Maintenance was always on time and pleasant. My favorite employee was a very sweet women Lynette she always made me feel at home. If I never found my home I would still be there. I only had one complaint the parking. Appleby was the best place in 30 years I lived at. To all the employees I just want to say thank you for making me feel at home. It is sad I will no longer be there but my wife and I must move on. Management has a nasty attitude with any concerns about your apartment that you pay rent for. When I first moved in I noticed the apartment wasn’t in the best condition as far as broken amenities and wall paint being scuffled. Also the area is very bad you hear gunshots and neighbors fighting and yelling I do not feel safe at all and will be leaving soon! You can literally hear the neighbors conversations through the wall, you can hear people slamming their doors every 5 minutes, I think my neighbor downstairs is in some kind of abusive relationship I hear every night. The sirens you hear everyday!!! Never again will I settle for this king of apartment. They cost us way too high for low end area and treatment you receive they do not let you walk in to see the apartment before you come only pictures that should have been the first red flag. Take your business else where

This has been the worse experience in this apartment. Can’t wait to move in April. The biggest issue, NO parking at all. I’m a nurse and get off late. Have to park on the other side of the apartment.. just awful. Other issue is the Ants you can’t get rid of. For $1140/month with these out dated apartments it not worth it. Don’t recommend Appleby apartment . It’s better apt. For the money. Like Sophie apt. Who have Good reviews.

Well equipped apartment, ample parking,onsite gym, in unit washer/dryer, or dog friendly atmosphere! All those don't make this "home" it's the people that maintain and provide a level of customer service that is unparalleled in my experience in apartment living. Two year tenant

Can't sleep neighbors are to loud and can't complain to office it gets worse. I have lived in apartments better than this one. I could deal without the loud rap music, and the people who don't live here taking up our parking spaces. 2014-2015

I lived here for an year and it was a nice place to live. Parking is ample and all the shops are near by. Neighbors are friendly. Office staff's are good and Trudy was too good in all the aspects. Maintenance is really good and real quick. I had a problem in Washer and Dryer, they have replaced with the new one with in couple of days which was really good! Nice place to live.

Loud music

I have been here for 7 months now not a bad place, however i have people in an adjacent apartment that play music at all times of the day and night, they have drums set up in the living room, i have contacted management on several occasions, and they say well its an apartment with thin walls and basically did nothing, i have called the police as late as 12:30 am due to loud music. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND DUE TO LACK OF CONCERN FROM MANAGEMENT

A defnite "Do Not Rent"

Because of an ambitious local drug trade, a cop is utilized on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for security. The rest of the week the cops are non existant. Parking is a complete nighmare. Some days you had to park on the other side of the complex because there was no available parking. You hated to leave to run an errand at night for fear you would lose your parking spot, if you happened to get one close. The only utensil drawer in the kitchen is unusable due to you can't open the drawer without hitting the handle on the stove - it only opens half way. These are just very basic apartments at a high end rate with surrounding neighborhood plagued with drug problems.

My pleasant stay at Appleby Apartment

I stayed with my husband in Appleby Apartments for close to 2 years and it was surely a wonderful stay. It surely doesn t have many sophisticated interior stuff but the apartment looks very beautiful from outside (basically because of the very different architecture) and clean landscaping. We stayed in 6th block, top floor on the back side of the apartment and I thoroughly enjoyed it because all my windows and balcony were facing South- East so that was an added advantage as it was very well lit through out the year and the balcony was facing wooded lot so my apartment had privacy and it always gave me the feeling of the king size life in a resort. But that can't be possible with every individual unit of Appleby...right? So I am gonna list some pros and cons for you to make your decision easier. Pros and Cons: 1. Newer Building, Beautiful Architecture, Well maintained lawn, Clean landscaping, Very well lit during the night. Best apartment in that area. 2. Bus stop is just in front of the apartment complex. And Route no 22 frequently goes to Wilmington via Farmers Market and the another one is Route no 54 frequently goes to Christiana Mall. There may be one or two more buses but they are not frequent and besides we never got a chance to explore. We didn t have car for initial month and believe me we never had any problem. And in fact after buying a car too my husband preferred to go to downtown to his office by bus bcoz that was much comfortable option. 3. The office staffs are genuine. At least we never had any problem even in getting our security deposit back. There are two maintenance guy and they were always available same day after making any complaint though they were not perfectionist in their work but they were good if not great. 4. There is a small playground if you have small kid. 5. The Gym is again not great but all the equipment works really fine. 6. It has regular size Wirlpool washer and dryer in every apartment and thats very conveniant. 7. And what we liked the best was that HVAC unit is in the balcony/patio so you dont get any HVAC noise and you cant make out whether AC/Heater is on or not...:) 8. Appleby is on the middle of Wilton Blvd so the Walmart is not very near neither very far.And that has an added advantage as you will not get disturbed by the walmart shopper. 9. I have always heard about the security issues in that location but we never heard any problem. The Appleby has police presence almost all the time. 10. The sound insulation is neither great nor bad. 11. I never had any Roaches, Bugs or ant problem....may be bcoz of the that particular unit orientation. But I have not even heard about roach problem from anybody either. Some ppl had complaints of small blank ants during the last summer. This summer was fine. 12. You may not be able to get parking exactly in front of your apartment but there is never any parking space problem. 12. the only biggest problem with Appleby is that it doesnt have much storage space and room sizes are not very big. 13. And recently I experienced some noisy neighbor especially the day USA lost against Ghana in FIFA. Downstairs ppl started screaming as if there is some fire or something and we didn't like that. Appleby Leasing office should be careful choosing their resident. Other than that I never found anything which I can point out. It may not be one of the best places to stay but its very convenient to almost everything. I loved my apartment in every way except the storage space and room sizes but that was perfect with me. One cant get everything :)
