Love the new management and maintenance staff
As a resident of 7 years we have been through our ups and downs but our new staff has come in and jump on ot. The community is clean, well kept ans the new maintenance staff is on point. Working on outstanding issues. You will have sine minor issues in every community. But the Grove of South Lake is safe, clean and the neighborhood is friendly and KIND!

Worst management ever!
I am currently experiencing the worst experience ever with the management at this office. From the time i moved in i have been asking for my windows to be cleaned! They have mold on them and disgusting. When i moved in i asked for the windows to be cleaned and was told they don’t clean windows! How do u move someone into a apartment with dirty molded windows! I am 9 months pregnant and Renee the assistant community manager has the worst attitude and unprofessional She told me my windows cant be cleaned and suggested i clean them with products that can harm my child pregnant if i inhale the products. She hung up in my face on the phone but before she hung up i recorded a conversation between her and maintance where he said “He not cleaning s***!” I will not be renewing my lease. The pool is always closed most of the summer as well.Don’t waste your time moving here unless u want to deal with the unprofessionalism and rudeness!

I was told I was approved Monday then Today I call and was told I wasn’t approved lady said they send me a email detailing why never received one and on top lady said their no refund for admin fee which is a lie they trying to steal my money I emailed they blocked my email

Unprofessional Lazy Employees
08/30/22 UPDATE: THESE APARTMENTS ARE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS FIXED IN MY LIVING ROOM BUT NOT MY BEDROOM. WAS TOLD ITS JUST NOT GOING TO WORK AND I PAY ABOUT 1200 FOR ONE BEDROOM. MY REFRIGERATOR IS NOT WORKING MY FOOD AND JUICE IS SPOILING AS SOON AS I GET IT AND THESE SORRY MAINTENANCE MEN KEEP SUBMITTING THE WORK ORDER HAD BEEN COMPLETED AND IT HAS NOT! I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL LAZY BEHAVIOR! THEY HAVE YET TO EVEN COME TO MY APARTMENT AND LOOK! AND WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM THE APARTMENT PROVIDES I HAVE A LOG OF WHO ENTERS MY FRONT DOOR, PROOF THEY HAVE NOT COME AT ALL. THEY FI NOT CARE ABOUT KEEPING THESE APARTMENTS UP AT ALL! I SPEND WAY TOO MUCH ON A ONE BEDROOM FOR MY AIR CONDITIONER NOT TO WORK, AND WAY TOO MUCH MONEY ON MY APARTMENT AND FOOD FOR MY REFRIGERATOR NOT TO WORK AND MY FOOD TO SPOIL AS SOON AS I GET IT. THEY NEED TO HIRE A NEW CREW ALL TOGETHER. I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH MAINTENANCE SINCE THE DAY I MOVED IN! MY APARTMENT IS NOT WORKING AND FALLING APART. WHO WANTS TO PAY TO LIVE LIKE THIS????

I've been living here for about 2 months, and I can say so far so good! My family that has visited thinks the property is really beautiful and well protected, and so do I! I do wish the amenities were available after hours because I get off of work when the office is closed, which means that the pool are and gym are also closed. That sucks!

The grove on Southlake is a good community. Besides from the noise from traffic their really isn’t any other noise complaint. They keep the lawn well maintenance and the maintenance crew are friendly and helpful. The pool area is nice.If they can just remodel the park and car wash area the facilities here would be of great use.

I really enjoy live at The Grove. I enjoy the peace and quiet and the way they keep the grounds clean and neat. Most of the staff are friendly, kind and considerate. Most of the tenets are kind in my building. I like the fact that I can sleep at night.

I love this community because it's very appealing to the eye & very quiet. There were a few maintenance concerns that were tended to in a timely manner by their staff. Overall my stay here has been great.

If you want people in your unit for absolutely no reason while you're not home, live here. The outside is kept very bbice and clean. Maintenance have does work orders. not worth the rent price i am charged

SCAM ALERT!!! BEWARE!!! I applied for these apartments back on 4/22/20 mine you I have it in writing that the administration fee is refundable if you are denied. I was denied and never received my administration fee back of $200 so what they put in writing is a crock of ?? it's been 8 months now and I still haven't got my money back. If you value your time and money do not waste your time with these apartments!!! Charlene Purnell

I was scheduled to move into this complex on 12/20/19. I put in the application paid all the fees got my rental history ,credit and background check and was approved. I was given the address and apartment number of my new unit. I gave my 60 day notice to the complex I'm currently living in because my lease is up on 12/31/19. Here comes the part that is so unprofessional. I received a call on 11/12/19 from the leasing office telling me I can't move in because the tenant decided not to move out although they gave a notice to vacate and I was given the unit. I was then told I could move in another unit that's $300-$400 extra a month. After I told them how unprofessional this was I got a call from the property manager name Garolyn who told me she had 2 sister properties. Keep in mind I choose this property because it was in my budget and area that I needed. The first property was in Riverdale which is a area I don't like and never want to live in. The next property was a very nice property but it was out of my budget. I truly think the only reason the manager called me was out of protocol but, she really didn't care. Keep in mind I paid my fees and when I asked for my money back to use to apply for another apartment I was told it would be 3-4 weeks before I would receive my money. I tried to contact Jerry who I was told is the general manager but of course he was unavailable. This property is apart of Dayrise Residential and I tried to contact them also but, everyone was in meetings and unavailable. I'm so upset about this situation. I guess being approved, paying your fees and security deposit means nothing to The Grove on Southlake. My lease in the complex I'm currently in ends on 12/31/19 and now I have to try and fine something decent in the area I'm in that I can afford I truly feel like the manager and the people in the leasing office or Dayrise Residential don't care because they have a home. This was extremely unprofessional and this is a company that obviously you can't trust. Tynisha Williams

This is one of the most money hungry places to live. DO NOT LIVE HERE! It's a beautiful community kept cleaned by one little old man who does a great job but that's the only PRO. It's suppose to be a gated community but the gate is always open. They try to get you and say it comes with all these great amenities like a laundry room but the laundry room has NEVER worked my entire stay & I have brung this to management attention more than once and they have done nothing about it. The pool has been closed the entire summer and probably will remain closed because kids are starting back school as well as it's going to soon be getting chilly out. Around a certain time of the year the apartments start getting little nats all over the house but no one can tell us why. We've asked our neighbors and they've complained about the same thing. Management walks around the property barely acknowledging its residents you can barely get a "hello or good morning" from them. In my opinion they are now under new management and you see little improvements like we finally have better quality lights around the community so it's not pitch dark outside at night like it used to be but i wouldn't recommend anyone come and live here because they are over priced and cheat you out of a lot of the amenities they tell you they have. PLEASE GET IT TOGETHER!

I have been a resident for 6 months.I have only one concern I think residents shouldn't have to a fee online for rent.I actually like it here that's the only concern I have. My neighbors are extremely nice except for the ones above my head

I am a current tenant of these apartments for only 3 weeks. Overall nice people in the office BUT I am extremely disappointed in this apartment complex. FIRST- ANY activity above my apartment (simply walking, drying clothes, moving anything etc) is heard very loudly. Wakes you up in the middle of the night. LOUD CREAKS. SECONDLY - the only appliance that has been upgraded is the Fridge. The apt was built in 2001, so my dishwasher that sounds like a 757 and Stove where all of the eyes still doesn't work and the oven cooks like an easy bake oven plus the thermostat...they are almost 20 years old!!! IF YOU VALUE A PEACE OF MIND, SLEEP, QUIET TIME OR AN APTS THAT INVESTS INTO THE QUALITY OF THEIR APTS THEN DO NOT MOVE HERE

The whole office and leasing staff are extremely rude ...they always have some new temporary worker up front most of them are incompetent. They make mistakes and errors on there part and don't honor them. The leasing manager is the rudest of them all. She is always hostile. Also, they did originally move us in knowing the A/C didn't work and we were stuck for 3-4 days not being able to live in our Newly leased apartment because it took maintenance days to fix an compressor and the apartment regular temperature was 98 degrees. The apartments are kind of spacious but most of them have bugs. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone especially because of the rude staff and they don't care about your apartment all they care about is getting new leases and bringing you in after that all the gratitude and friendlyness goes out the window.

Where can I even start, we have been living here for three years it’s only gotten worse from the start. Maintenance will never come and fix anything and on the rare chance that they do it’ll take weeks. We’ve had water leak damage to our walls that has never been fixed, holes put into our wall by them that months later have never been fixed. Took days for them to fix our hot water, that’s a necessity for Christ sakes. Our sink has a constant drip that has significantly increased our water bill that they will not fix. They broke the hose to our washer for hot water so we can only wash in cold water because of something they broke. They will make sure the grass is cut but they don’t clean the stairwells it’s spider webs and spiders everywhere. Roaches are everywhere but they will charge you for pest control every month. They won’t tell you when a package comes for you as it won’t be delivered to your door due to the gate access. After a couple days of you don’t claim the package that you may of may not know about they will send it back to the sender... this is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at I cannot urge you enough not to move in here!!!!!!!!!!! They will charge you for cable 51 dollars but you have to pay Comcast 120 to even get cable with them so that whole cable comes with it is a rip off! The office staff is not knowledgeable on anything and don’t even want to hear anything you have to say, they’ll kiss your --- when you come in trying to get an apartment but after that you’re nobody.. they turned water off all day on two occasion with no notice. They tow your car with no notice if it’s in their way.. just do not move here you can spend your money else where and be way more satisfied I promise.. anywhere but here!!!!

This is the worst community i have ever lived at! The managers are RUDE! Unprofessional ! And nonchalant! DO NOT move here! They add on extra fees out the blue ! Every month your rent will increase due to these added fees! X'ante the assistant manger needs to be replaced! He is a ------- ! And a liar ! DO NOT MOVE HERE ! I?t is not what I?t appears to be !!

I've been living here for about 3 years. I love it here. The management are courteous and are not to intrusive on your everyday living like other places. From the manager all the way to the secretary Ms, G, X and Jenna. Actually Jenna is one of the main reasons I pay my rent on time and she's not bad on the eyes either. As a matter of fact I'm about to go up there now. But all jokes aside its a great place to live. The rent here is very reasonable and the free cable isn't bad either. The maintenance guys are very cool. If I see them out and about and ask them about a quick fix in my unit they usually take care of it that day. Most apartments won't even address an issue unless you put in a work order. The only reason I will ever leave here will be to buy a house.

I have been living in various apartments for past 20 years all over Atlanta, but this management , called (first communities) before it was well managed by bell apartment excellent staff members absolutely no problem superb staff very friendly. this one is the most horrible , you can't even imagine the humans can be so rude , after paying the rent and having clean records ,they treat the customers like ---- , sorry to say , all my friends who stayed here ran way , i am so stuck here , pray god will help me soon, wants to run way from this management , when you go for help with corporate office , they don't even answer your phone , i pray god to let me out of this dangerous staff members , only people who can help is 911 .these people talk rules but only for others not for them . this will be the last place in the world to live in , tried to inform corporate office about this , they don't care what we are going thru as long they get their money . whatever good review you see is written by themselves. if you sign the lease you are done , there are lot of people who got stuck with these attitude people. please think before you get into this community , there is a charge and rules for everything for the customers not for them . the Manager ( so called ) so horrible attitude , i pray nobody meets that attitude in anybody's life . this is the first time entire staff in the lease building so rude , communication is Zero and shows so much attitude on you , as if we are staying for free in their guest house for free .maintenance people are very good but what to do they have to listen to them . I never wrote any review ,like this in my life , so you should imagine , how much , we must be going thru with nobody to help . Please guys I am telling for bitterness , you should not go thru whatever we are going thru . Negative 100%

Hi i have to say i have had a great experience thus far with The Grove Apartments. Garolyn Simmons and her staff are courteous and always willing to help me and my family. The rental rates are great expecially for a gated community!

I have lived at many apt complex and in mist admit this is my fav. There is a little noise but kids live there what do u expect!!! The staff always seem to amaze me with there awesome Customer service when ever I have a issue I can call them and they come without complaining I have had issues as early as 4am and they show up within 10 min. My only concern is rent has a tendency to go up other than that I love my home

I'll not recommend it's horrible service, maintenance and leasing department don't care, apartments are nasty, don't sign lease before checking apartment, staff is rude including GM. Look for better place and save your money.
