Love the building and location. However, the shortage of luggage carts and terrible management of package delivery is concerning. Property Management/Leasing never gives direct answers or addresses your concerns. They are always spinning. Issues never get resolved!

An amazing place to live where the photos actually reflect the place and the amenities. Maintenance is very quick and usually responds within a day. The people at the front desk are also super friendly and helpful!

What a great place to live and we have awesome views of the city! Being new to Chicago we chose The Aston for it's location to downtown, the Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue. It is a very well maintained building with excellent staff. We love our 24-hour doorman service and can't wait to see Ish, Kevin or Mel when we enter the lobby! Did I mention AWESOME views?!! Thanks for all you do, we love our new home!

I've been living at Aston for about 6 months now and it's been a great experience. The staff is always so responsive, the location is fantastic with walking distance to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, restaurants, and bars, and the amenities are clean and new.

I am a current resident at Aston and love the community. Moving in, everything was exactly how I thought. They also take COVID seriously and heavily encourage everyone to wear masks while using the amenities. The door staff is the best I have ever experienced, super friendly and make you feel at home. Overall, I am enjoying living here.

Aston has been a great apartment for my roommates and I over the past year. The amenities are top notch and I have not seen another apartment in River North/Streeterville with better views throughout the building, including in the apartment. I will renew my lease here the second it is up.

My husband and i have lived in the Aston community for just over a year and a half. We are completely happy with our decision to make Aston our home and cant imagine being anywhere else. The staff are amazing and the amenities are top notch! I highly suggest you check this building out!

The single worst living experience I've ever had. Management quick to apply fees and slow to correct payment mistakes, overcharge on small things accumulating over time, have no accountability when it comes to common things. One example, we had the fuse box apparently start forming some damage from inside and the lights above the kitchen had black rings around them. We told management several times and they just came and repainted around. Now we're being charged for it. Laughable. Don't live here. There are other buildings with the same amenities, same price range, that don't offer the anxiety levels this management team does. That being said, I think Kevin and Gina were awesome.

Our experience thus far at Aston has been very good. The living space is open and there is considerable storage space. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. The other tenants in the building have been very friendly as well. We would recommend this building to friends.

This place is great. I love the building. Front desk staff are so kind and beautiful. They always keep me aware of possible bad situations outside. Building management has been so kind about letting us know of ours surroundings. I highly recommend to this building to anyone :)

Aston Apartments allowed my husband and I to move from Portland OR to Chicago in a matter of a week. I landed a new job and Gina (our leasing agent) FaceTimed us and was super thorough about our potential apartment and the best way to Make this our home. She made it easy to pick our apartment without physically seeing it. This really is a luxury apartment where everyone is welcomed, and cared for. Ive lived in a lot of places where management and profit is priority and here the residents are the priority. So glad we chose to live here! If youre respectful and can follow the rules youll have no issues living here. The residents are friendly and everyone follows the safety guidelines in place because of Covid.

We moved into the Aston in May 2020 and the staff could not have been more accomodating and cordial given the circumstances going on the world. The staff at the Aston go above and beyond to ensure all residents requests and needs are being considered and we have truly enjoyed living here for the past few months.

Great experience so far! would have loved better windows and blinds though And in the last 3 years of living at Aston we have had the amenities closed for a good amount of time for maintenance or renovations. This has been disappointing because- due to the weather in Chicago we anyway do not get to enjoy the outdoor amenities for more than 3 to 4 months in a year and having them closed all of the last summer was a bummer.

Moving to Aston has been the best decision I've made in 2019. I love the vibes and energy overall. I would love to see the Steam-room back up and running soon as I use it in my daily routine. The amenities and community itself are simply amazing. I planned to live here for a while. Thanks Aston! Keep up the good work! Lets get the mens steam-room fixed ASAP. Thanks!

This is the shadiest Management team ever, they make false agreements. I have gone through the worst ordeal with this team. They lose your paperwork. They lie about everything. Make sure if you live here that you save every email, paper and document (as they will try to gauge you for everything you have before you leave). I enjoyed the location but the Management team is poor.

I love this community because its near to my work place and near to school. The famous magnificent mile is just walking distance.This property is well placed and offers great amenities.The river walk,whole foods store and chicago public library are also nearby.

This is such a great place to live - I love it. The complex is great - conveniently located near Michigan Ave, right by a lot of shopping and dining options as well as a Whole Foods and Bockwinkels. It's also a short walk to Navy Pier, Millennium Park and the River Walk. Basically the best location you can ask for in Chicago. The apartment itself is really nice: great layout, relatively new appliances and a nice view. While the windows are good at blocking outdoor noises, the walls are pretty thin and you can easily hear neighbors. The only other con is it's not uncommon to see dog pee near the front entrance. The staff is great and diligently tries to clean up and take of it's residents.

The building is very clean and friendly. The building has great views and amenities. The staff is very friendly. Only complaint is the grills are not very clean and you have to pick your packages up by 6:30pm on weekdays.

Good community to live in. The view from the roof top is absolutely amazing. The reason for 4 stars is that the elevators take some time and there is no ventilation in the kitchen. However overall, it is a great location. Especially having a indoor pool is great for winter workout.

We have been in our apartment for over 2 years and no intention of leaving any time soon. It has become home...We are in a specious 1 bedroom 1.5 bath facing south with a beautiful view of the river and a little slice of the lake. The location is what really drew us here. It is centrally located to my husband's job (we don't have a car here, so location is important), dining and shopping. The front desk staff are very frinendly and incredibly helpful. The appliances are decent, but it's just the 2 of us so we don't need a lot of extras. The refrigerator is standard but small, the oven works fine and the cooktop is fine as well. The bathroom is spacious, there is amazing closet space and the cabinets in our unit are deep and numerous. There is a very small washer and dryer, but a larger laundry area is available if needed for larger items (like king linens!) We are able to store my husband's bike in the living room, we have 2 foldable chairs and a large cooler for the outdoor theater all in the bedroom closet. The extra 1/2 bath is perfect for when we have guests!! Maintenance is prompt when needed and have had no issues not addressed. Occasionally our very young (comparatively) neighbors may be loud on a weekend, but will respond if requested to quiet down. Otherwise our floor is pretty quiet. We hardly ever hear anyone aside from the occasional celebrations next door. I feel very safe in our building and love that a key fob is necessary to access all floors except 1. Since we are so close to Michigan Ave, there are always people around and I have never felt uncomfortable walking in the area. We started our lease in the early years of the Center for a great price. Of course, when our lease was due for renewal, our rent did go up considerably, but to market value. We will be up to renew again in 3 months and was told we would only be due for a small increase since we are on target with the area. We'll see....

It's really a great place to live. From the amenities of the building, to the amenities in the apartment, they are all above what you would expect. The refrigerator oven in unit washer and dryer dishwasher all of very high-quality. Sound is really not a big issue from neighbors which is great. The views out the windows are wonderful and the heating system works very well so even in the wintertime there is no problems with keeping the apartment warm. The management is very responsive, nice, and willing to work with you on just about anything. The maintenance crews come quickly and do a very good job for him with anything you ask.

As someone who moves around as much as I do for work, I can honestly say this is the best place I've ever lived! Everything about Optima has exceeded my expectations. All of the staff members are friendly and helpful, including the security guards downstairs, the maintenace and custodial crew, and the office personale. It really makes you feel safe and part of a mini community. Another amazing perk is the location. The area is one of the safest in Chicago, and not to mention right in the heart of the city. Everything is walking distance including grocery stores (Whole Foods, Jewel, Trader Joe's, Target), movie theaters, restaurants, the River Walk, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, you name it. It's still secluded enough that you don't get all the tourist congestion that you would from being in such a hot spot area. And finally, my most favorite part of this place is the view! The building has an amazing outdoor space (on a few floors). My guests are always in awe when I show them the rooftop! You are also treated with a great view of the Navy Pier fireworks display in the summertime. Overall, I cannot say enough great things about this place. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering moving to the city of Chicago. You will not be disappointed.
