The Retreat is very peaceful and friendly. Community is kept clean and well maintained. I appreciate the fact that there are police officers who live here. Also like that there is no through streets so traffic is kept at a minimum. The staff is very professional and heloful.

It's been a good experience living at The Retreat. The maintenance department normally is quite good when they are fully staffed. Gianna is very good at working through problems. She helped me to stay in this apartment complex when I needed to downsize to save money.

Reasons to NOT RENT FROM DEER CREEKE: 1. They didn't show us the apartment until our move in date. 2.They were still working on my apartment on my move in date so I had to move in a day later. They still didn't have everything done. 3. We had to go a FULL month with the dishwasher that was in here when we moved in AND having MOLD inside of it smelling like something died 10 times over before they finally replaced it. 4. We went 2 months with our kitchen light switch meesed up, 3 outlets not working, our screen messed up and our daughter's window cracked. 5. It took them 3.5 months to put a fire extinguisher outside of our apartment. 6. We STILL don't have screens in BOTH of our widows Anna's room and ours. 7. People let their 2-5 yr old children out BY THEMSELVES whom try to break into your car, look through your windows, and run through the halls day and NIGHT. 8. Our hallway lights (the one by the outside of our apartment door) has been shut of twice in the middle of the night. 9. Someone was shot and killed 2 complexes down. 10. There are NO LIGHTS on the backs of the apartments only your porch light. 11. No assigned parking spots and you only get 1 (which doesn't both us we only have 1 car) but inconsiderate people take up 3 then when we ----- about it they pull us and the women out of our apartments to "settle the issue" which causes conflict. 12. Teenagers from 20 East apartments come over here and vandalize stuff. 13. They DO NOT SPRAY FOR BUGS. So there are ants and earwigs like EVERYWHERE on the patio. 14. Our mailbox key opens several other mailboxes. (I didn't know where our mailbox was cuz they don't have them labeled and just stuck my key in and turned) 15. We dropped our rent in the rent drop box after business hours ON THE FIRST and on the second they put a note out there saying rent has to be in at business hours and it.will not be accepted from the drop box unless it.has late fees added. Our lease says rent has to be.in by the first at midnight.

I currently live in deer creeke right now. and I would NEVER tell anybody to move here.! for starters I walked down to the office after the office was closed with my fiancé and had to put our rent money in the drop box, we ALWAYS put the money in an envelope and close it before we walk down there and they tried to blame us for not turning it in and saying that we lost it and it fell out of the envelope. and all that nonsense. the maintenance SUCKS. they never come and fix anything until months later. they say that they have a 24/7 emergency line for problems, when you call them with an after hour problem, they tell you to wait till the next day or even longer. what is the point in having a 24 hour line if your not going to do what you say? we have recently had a problem with cockroaches!!! we keep our apartment clean 24/7 we are cleaning everyday so they are NOT coming from my apartment but we found a dead one in our closet that the maintenance said was there from before we moved in, if it was there from before we moved in that means you didn't clean the apartment good before we moved in. we found one in the hallway above my door that maintenance killed themselves and told the office and they said that they would come down and spray and bomb the building the next day, it has now been 3 weeks and they haven't done anything about it STILL. and just today we found one INSIDE the apartment. we had to chase it because it took off flying to kill it. this apartment complex is a damn joke and will move the first chance I get to.

The office staff was very hospitable and was quick to get my application processed and get me into a apartment. They did a nice job redoing the parking spaces. The maintenance people were quick to get my stuff fixed and were good about it they damaged anything taking care of it.

I have been leaving at Deer Creeke for over a year now. It was a state to state transition and it was handled smoothly and in a timely manner by the office personnel. The paper work was completed with no problems and the move was successful. I truly do like my 2 bedroom apartment. It was cleaned when we moved in. The appliances work great and if there is ever a problem maintenance fixes the issues in a timely and courteous manner. I would recommend living here to my friends and family. When it was time to renew my contact I did not even think about moving and renew with no problem and there is no doubt I will renew again. The personnel in the office are always kind and willing to help as best they can. I truly enjoy living in Indiana and living at Deer Creeke has made it better. If you are looking for a nice community to live in I would recommend this apartment complex to you. Also there is parking available at all times. Each apartment also has washer and dryer connections which makes it convenient if you own your own washer and dryer and if you don't there is a facility onsite with washers and dryers. There is also a swimming pool which is great for the summer specially when you have children.

I truly love my apartment. I have been here for a year and will renew. They have renovated the parking lot and all the buildings. It looks nice!!. I moved into a renovated apartment and it is really nice. Office gals are really nice and helpful. Maint staff takes a while to fix things but they ALWAYS get it done!!

Overall a nice place to live! I'm renting a town home here, moved from Florida.. The apartment is nice, a little beat up and rough around the edges but it works. The neighbors are quiet and the staff is very nice and knowledgeable. The second floor creaks a lot. Neighbors kids are a pain in the neck, they destroyed my snow man twice! but the adults are very friendly and their dogs don't bark much at all! Haven't needed any services yet, so I can't say much about that! The only internet providers are Comcast (which I have) and Frontier. Um.. The layout of the town house is nice, washer/dryer hookups (CAN ONLY USE STACKABLE!!)3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs , kitchen, living/dining room, and half bath is downstairs. Overall, it's a decent place to live if you're looking for a lot of space at a decent price. Just don't expect too much! ^_^

Worst place I have ever lived. Our refrigerator kept freezing things, even on the warmest setting. It took us over a month for them to get us a new one. So we had to restock the frig multiple times, b/c we couldn't eat anything right away b/c it would freeze. Half the time the pool was closed, b/c it didn't pass code. Maintenance sucks. We had water coming into our kitchen bathroom and storage room that turned out to be sewage, they took over 4 days to fix it and then didn't offer to clean it. our dishwasher kept draining into our carpet and it took them a month to replace that also. then when you move out they try to get as much money out of you as they can. would never recommend it.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!

This is by far the worst place I have ever lived in! There was problems from day 1! Our front door didn't shut right 4 the first 8 months. You HAD TO pad lock it everytime or it would just pop open. They kept saying nothing was wrong w/ it. I lost over $300 in the 1st month in food b/c the fridge they had in the apartment was crap. The maitenence man finally replaced the entire fridge, b/c nothing would stay fresh. There was a huge hole in my patio 4 the first 6 months. To the point where it was unsafe 2 take my children outside on patio. They fixed it w/ a piece of plywood type stuff. It has already begun warping and will need 2 be replaced again. In September of 2010 the window in my master bedroom got broken. They expected me 2 pay 2 replace it even though they refused 2 fix any of my maitenece issues. I had the management company out and everything about it. Needless 2 say my other maitenence requests were finally answered after 8 months of waiting. Unfortunately they didn't fix the window till just this month. Almost a full year later! The only reason we stayed here 4 another year is b/c we had nowhere 2 go. This year we are for sure moving and I suggest all their tenants do the same! There is nothing that makes this apartment worth living here. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPLEX!

Worst place ever!!!

Where shall I start? Day 1 of moving in, we open our sliding door and front door to move our furniture and totes in. Well we were OVER greeted by our neighbor who is probably 10years old? He seemed to be comfortable helping himself inside and through our things! First whole wk we are bothered by that same neighbor boy early in the morning wanting to play with our 2yr old son, on top of that he along with his mother kept knocking on our door asking for ingredients occasionally as if we were good old friends. 1 month living in the place we open our blinds and our son is watching tv, not long after we see at our sliding door that same boy along with MORE neighborhood kids peeking in to watch our television. During the time of still being here, we have kids who help themselves to coming in to our place whether we are home or not, we have theft in the parking lot (you are a lot safer keeping your doors unlock than lock...lock is just asking for a broken window), our apartment floods every time the A/C is on, our stove/oven wasn't working the whole first wk of moving in, everything is just HORRIBLE...to top it off the office staff is never around!

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!

Don't even try looking into these apartments. The office staff is horrible.. they're all nice til they get you in here.. then everything flips. They raised our rent without even telling us. I was taking a shower one day when a person from the maintenance staff just walked into my apartment. (wouldnt take a shower after that if i was home alone) Horrible connections to washer/dryer The laundry facility there wont dry your clothes if by chance you can keep them without someone taking them. When we first moved in, they told us they would fix our deck because you could tell it wasn't safe. Month after month complaint after complaint nobody came to fix it. I sat out on it in a chair and almost fell through. Horrible neighbors. Thieves. COCKROACHES. YES. COCKROACHES! Not safe at all for kids. Cops were there everyday. Honestly it's just an absolute horrible place to live. Wouldn't wish it on my WORST enemy.
