I have been placing maintenance request religiously from the day I moved in. The list of issues is unending. From the day I moved in the kitchen cabinet handles were not correctly installed, the top of the handles were screwed in but the handles did not fit so the bottom were just loosely hanging, the toilets have never worked properly, you have to hold the handle to get a complete flush and ensure the handle releases to keep the toilet from running continuously. It is now The end of July and temperatures have exceeded 95 degrees on a daily basis and I have repeatedly contacted the front office staff about this and every time maintenance shows up it is without any notice before or after. They have actually walked in while I was sleeping, showering or undressed. The air is still not working and I have asthma and young children. To add to the innate inconsideration of the tenants the vents are filthy the common ways are not cleaned consistently ( and they allow pets, even more reason to maintain the vent system and common areas). Also maintenance continuously accesses my apartment without notice or permission whether I have requested maintenance or not and I have noticed my personal items missing. To add to my horrible experience here I have not been able to contact emergency maintenance outside of office hours, which is the whole purpose of emergency maintenance! There is no direct number and the office number allows one to leave a message that is not returned in a timely manner… hence the reason I still have all the issues with my apartment. You would think what else is there to complain about…. Well since I’ve been here my mailbox does not lock and is always open for anyone to access my private information and yes I have complained about this countless times. Finally, the electrical outlet in the master bathroom has never worked.

Rent Elsewhere
I am just going to be honest, the prices are decent, but you are better off renting elsewhere. They (Monica and Deborah) mislead you to get you to rent by telling you that they will paint your cabinets and fix any issues you have. That was a lie as my mans cabinets still have not been painted and there are safety issues throughout that fall on deaf ears. The hallways are a mess with leaky ceilings and exposed electrical wires. You must use caution when walking up and down the stairs because the rails are not sturdy and the steps are waiting to cave in at any moment. When touring they show you a decent apartment and then move you to one that has not been taken care of in years. Save up your money and move somewhere where the office staff actually cares about the properties they are renting!

Ever since Gene B Glick has taken over these apartments this place has gone down hill. They allow any and everyone to move in, they accept section 8. Not everyone on section 8 is ------ but the ones they've allowed to move in are. At night I'm constantly hearing gun shots, a young woman was sexually assaulted about a month ago, my car had been vandalized, neighbors I know homes have been broken into and vandalized. You just don't Feel safe walking out to your car. Maintenance doesn't get any work done. The rent is sky high for those of us who work but the property isn't worth what you pay this place is beyond ragidy, they paint over everything instead replacing it. They need to tear the whole place down and start from scratch if I could rate it I'd give it 0 stars.

I was happy to get accepted to these apartments but once i was moved in the BS started i have a toilet that has a broken bolt they said i needed a new toilet never came back. the laundry facilities are a JOKE! The dryer in our building has been out since i moved in in December and when i asked the office to fix it, let just say I've lost $20 just trying to dry clothes that end up still wet, because I have to go to the laundromat and spend more money. My air conditioner hasn't worked all summer so me and my 6 year old daughter have had to stay with family or friends because of the extreme heat. i have reported it to corporate and the office staff and still nothing has been done. they come a day after it rains and take pictures of a thermostat that read 69 degrees because the temp outside is cooler then the inside temp is too but as soon as i get off work and the temp starts to rise we have to leave. When i called the emergency maintenance hotline they told me to open up the windows because it was and I quote "Its cooler outside."

My advice, RUN!!! This property is beyond sad from what I have witnessed. I have family members who reside here and waiting to move. I witness a young boy shoot at a guy just for walking past. Police were called and guess what. No evictions . If you have children stay away. Teens were having sex, smoking weed in the buildings just terrible. The air does not work, every excuse in the world so they don't have to fix things. Office staff knows when you call(caller ID) and will not answer calls. Don't bother calling corporate nothing gets done. They take your money but can care less about your concerns or your safety. Maintenance was seen drinking beer at the pool just horrible.

I have lived in Hunt Club apartments for 3 years years. I had no idea that Hunt Club had rude staff members. After being at Hunt Club for 5 months someone attempted to break into my apartment during the day. I had called the police and they took a statement and that was it. Eventually I had to call them back out because I noticed the get away car in the back of the apartments. They police returned again and finally towed the car. Think I God I cared a enough to search the property unlike the police officer because the car was stolen earlier that day. This was just one of situations at Hunt Club. I would come home to notes posted on my door from the office stating to broil my water before consuming. They claimed they tested the water and there were no issues. But fast forward to the big renovation of the water pipes that was supposed to take two weeks to complete. This whole renovation took 30 days and it was a hot --- mess. They did a a horrible job painting and the pipes were laying in the kitchen cabinets. They rushed the job trying to save money instead actually moving tenants out so they could renovate the apartment effectively. Maintenance sucked after attempting to fix something they would never come back. The manager didn't even follow through with anything. I talked with corporate about the issues I was having brown water and they seemed not to be to concern. At the end of the day don't move here spend your money wisely.

I would like to give a helpful review so I will try to be courteous. Pros: mildly decently priced for a two bedroom/two bath. Didn't have bugs. Neighbors weren't loud and children very respectful (some of the kids offered to help us carry boxes when moving in and always held the door) Cons: Maintenance is a joke. Our a/c didn't work during the summer and every time they came out they would come super early before it was sweltering and say "looks good to me" then when we had a/c on at FULL BLAST and it was 85 in our apartment they would ignore the pictures of thermometer we sent. Washing machine continued to break down and they would take a week or more to fix every time. Your apartment will always smell like weed even if you don't because your neighbors smoke like chimneys. The entrance doors keep breaking so they just stopped fixing it and out building was full of crickets for two months. (By no bugs I meant like no bed bugs, roaches, or flees) Your car window will be smashed at least once.

This is such a joke. They call themselves professional but you have a ------ assistant manager who is moving in all of her ------ friends along with her you have a maintenance supervisor that claims he knows what he is doing but the only thing he knows is how to flirt and harass women. Don't try to call corporate because they will just brush it aside. RUN RUN as fast as you can, spend your money elsewhere!!

Originally the property was fine. However, upon renewing my lease I realized I had made a terrible mistake. Hunt Club switched to going off your income or section 8 and that's when the violence started occurring. Several shootings break in even in broad day light. The office sends memos with info on what to do when encountering a thief or something of the sort like run, scream, don't fight back. Their main piece of advice is to come to the neighborhood watch meetings...This is a neighborhood where its in the budget for them to do things like put security locks on the buildings and have security patrol but its always in the process and something happens to where it doesn't and the police seem to always "backout". Break ins occur every week here whether its jiggling your car door to see if its unlocked to them roaming the hallways to see if your door is unlocked. Oh and they will cut your window screens and come in that way as well. Even with a break in my building they still require 30 day notice before moving out. The grounds are kept horribly a used condom laid on the sidewalk for weeks, which I'm sure was used by the children that hang out and have sex all over the buildings. There are no animal restrictions which could be a plus because you need it living here, but because of that there are piles of feces everywhere. Then there was a memo saying if they caught you they would fine you $21.66 to have it picked up. With rent in the $800's I would have thought they would have had people coming already, not only that but you send the memo and still leave the feces, EVERYWHERE....When it rains its all you smell. I have called the office a total of 7 times since they opened just today to file another complaint on something for the 4 time and still haven't reached anyone. If you choose to move here don't move by the laundry room it will flood and they wont replace your carpet only extract. Which is ok until it continues to happen.

These apartments may look nice and they say that kitchens have been "updated" but they are absolutely terrible. The water is disgusting and would leave a white film over every dish and management never gets anything done. My apartment was over 84 degrees all summer long due to a sliding glass door that was broken and an air conditioning unit that was as old as the apartments were.If you do need something fixed plan on calling the leasing office 5 days in a row before anything gets done, if they answer the phone. Maintenance takes 2 or 3 tries to fix problems and they don't actually finish the things they start. They tried to fix a broken towel bar in my bathroom and it fell down again after they "fixed it" and they never repainted the wall after spackling all over it. The leasing office leaves paper memos on doors at least 1-2 times a week which are all just trash. The people in this apartment neighborhood believe that banging on ceilings and floors is a good way to communicate with one another. Many times while just walking around my home making dinner the woman downstairs would thud on her ceiling. Children and animals are often locked out on balconies unattended, screaming and barking early in the morning. Also, I should mention the shooting that happened during the months that I lived there. People are always hanging around at the front entrance and the leasing office sends out papers informing tenants of car break ins and patio furniture being stolen weekly. I never felt safe walking to and from my car. I actually broke my lease after living there for only 4 months. I wish I would have known these things before paying WAY too much money to live in this awful place, which is subsidized by the government. I wonder where that money goes. If you look hard enough you can find a house for about the same amount of money and much less headache.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I rented here under the pretense that the apartment would be safe, peaceful & affordable. I couldn't have been more incorrect! The property has major plumbing issues & Gene B Glick has failed to repair them as promised. I've lived at Hunt Club for ONE year & experienced: floods on my carpet, leaks from the ceiling, left without A/C during the hottest part of the summer, someone was shot 2 doors down @ 10:30 am, my apartment was robbed & this month a sewage flood. The most recent flood included sewage! The Maintenance Supervisor & Property Manager never came into our apartment to see the damages or to ensure the sewage had been cleaned safely and appropriately per Industry Health Standards. The contracted carpet cleaner did not have an uniform or name tag & arrived after 9pm when I reported the flood at 4:30pm. They extracted sewage & water with the same equipment that I was told "cleaned" my carpet. Anyone in this line of work knows that you cannot suction sewage out carpet padding & the carpet/padding should have been cut out right then during "clean up". Instead 4 blowers were placed which floated the carpet & all the bacteria/feces was made airborne. The property manager refused to put my family in a hotel overnight until the apartment was safe & properly cleaned. Without regard for my health issues, I was told only the Regional Mgr could approve that. I was left scrambling to find a place to stay. The next day I spoke with Glick's Corporate office & was told the apartment clean up was handled per Glick's protocol & they've done everything they could do. Thankfully I have renter's insurance that approved us to stay in a hotel for a month until we find another residence since insurance considered this a Category 3 which means Water Damage in every room. Hardly a healthy living environment! My property sat in water for 2 days waiting for management to review my situation. When they decided to extract the water it was too late, after 2 days mold/bacteria grow & the wood was ruined. Now I'm left with damaged property/furniture & $500 deductible before I can start replacing them. My blinds/curtains were left open overnight & resulted in my apartment being robbed after the flood...another $500 deductible before I can replace the stolen items. When my back door was broken down, the Maintenance Supervisor did not step foot in my apartment nor make sure my door was properly secured overnight. I returned at 9 am the following day & the door had not been secured. I could reach my arm inside my apartment from the outside. Yet Hunt Club Management & Glick denies negligence. I am a good tenant that pays my rent on time, yet after 2 weeks, I was offered this insulting compensation for what management considers my "inconvenience": new carpet/padding, a $250 gift card to cover my food expenses while I CHOOSE to stay in a hotel & the ability to break lease if I wished. I am in the process of filing a Civil Lawsuit to recoup the money I'm losing & deductibles. The Health Department was also called out & issued several citations to Hunt Club. I've called the Health Department out again to view the laundry rooms since they are constantly flooded & smell like must/mold. Please do not lease here...crime is up & management puts band aide fixes on things yet expects their rent on time. I will never rent from another Glick property again & I am putting this review on every site possible so prospective residents know the truth regarding Glick communities.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! it has gone down tremendously within this past year! They fired the whole office staff and the maintenance crew in January of 2015! Obviously it was because they started taking section 8! all the decent people are moving out overnight!it's a shame these apartments used to be considered luxury! but not for long!

Just out of curiosity I decided to see what people were saying about The evil empire or Glick after they ruined what was a nice place to live. The previous two management companies that owned Hunt Club, M2 and Primequest, were good. I never knew anyone personally, but they did their job, were always nice when I went to the office and answered service calls in a reasonable time frame. The reviews about this complex now don t surprise me but the vague, careless responses from the young, ------ manager do. You can tell she s very young just by looking at her and inexperienced by how she handles situations. She cares more about her nails, hair and clothes than being a professional leader that cares about tenants and how the office is ran. The other two ladies are older, but you can tell they get their attitude from the top. They don t care either. After reading other tenants reviews I decided to write my review to let people know how fast a good thing can be ruined with the wrong people in charge. I moved in May 2008 and I moved out in May 2013. We got a letter mid-December 2012 that Glick had purchased the property. Shortly after the office was broken into, Glick gave out pizzas that night to try and gloss over the fact that resident information and keys were compromised. They claim nothing was taken but break-ins increased from then on; how convenient. After that they were in damage control sending out these packets full of information about how to protect your identity if it's stolen and numbers to call to have your social and credit report monitored. That's something Glick should have done for each tenant since it was their fault. And if your identity is stolen and you have no money for rent, the first thing Glick would do is evict you and get someone to take your place. Thank God that I personally have never had an issue, but I did notice the jump in crime. At first, I was willing to deal with the rudeness, carelessness and all the annoying letters from the staff because I really liked my apartment and the area, plus moving is a pain. In mide April, I was told my unit, which is a 1bdrm, would be going up to $700 a month from the $644 I was originally paying. When I called the office to find out why, I was told because the unit I was living in was an "upgraded" model and that I should be lucky because the price they want to charge is $750 but they didn't want to raise it so much all at once. Like I stated before, I lived there since 2008 never once was I told my unit was an upgraded model and no changes were ever made while I was there. Glick or "The evil empire" just wanted to get more money. I called the office and asked could I move to a model that wasn't "upgraded" so I could stay in the area and because I like the floor plans. I've left three messages and never did I receive a return phone call. When I finally went up there the larger, white girl said "Oh, I've been trying to call you back about that." I told her no she hasn t and showed her my phone where I didn't have any missed calls or messages in this office and she didn t have anything to say. I did manage to get my question answered while I was there and her response was, Glick can only allow you to move to another unit if your family size increases not just because you want a cheaper unit. She said I could get a two bedroom but they're not able to allow me to move to another 1bdrm even if my lease is going to expire. Basically, either pay more money or move out so we can rent to someone that will. Glick is money hungry and they're goal is to own the entire city and charge unreasonable amounts of rent. Bottom line, these are nice apartments and located conveniently by the highway but for the amount of rent they are charging it s not worth it. This is not Carmel or Fishers. If you re going to pay $750 for a one bedroom, it can t have a crime-filled complex literally right across the street that spills over to where you live, rude and careless staff and have HUD housing guidelines, which is now what Glick has turned Hunt Club into. I ve read the manager s response to other reviewers and please don t listen to her. She s just talking. People show they care by what they DO, not by what they SAY. I ll be checking back to see what stupid, careless response I get. Update: 02/01/2014 As you can see below, I got my careless response from a Glick Representative. Not by the Property Manager of Hunt Club, but by someone higher up. I guess they think that makes them look better if someone higher up the food chain responds. Little do they know it doesn't. The response was still vague and careless and what's the point in calling her, or anybody else for that matter,to discuss anything if I'm no longer there?! Think before you reply, Glick!I hope everyone notices that Glick refuses to answer to any of the former or current tenants claims in their responses, they just want you to "call them to discuss". Those discussions won't lead to or change anything. Bottom line, they're money hungry and they don't care about any tenants concerns, they just respond to these posts to try and look like they care and save face.

DO NOT MOVE IN!! The management staff is horrible. They don't call back when you leave messages. They are rude. They don't care about you or your safety. The cars were broken into 4 times. Our apartment was broken into as well as several around us. The management team didn't care and didn't help after we complained about safety issues. They lied about the condition we left the appartment in and then charged us a rediculius amount for stupid things. They claimed we had a pet... Which we did not. I would never and will never recommend these apartments. When the office itself was broken into, they "changed the lock" but waited until 11pm to do so. I wish I had never moved there.

The buildings are falling apart, we have construction workers right now taking out old bricks and putting in new ones. Why not just take the place down instead of placing a brick or two here and there. My apartment building is almost completely empty, we have literally 3 apartments being used because the apartments are so bad. The faucets leak very badly, and there is water damage to the bottom of the sink. This tells me that it has happened before. The paint is chipping on the corners of the walls. The sliding door does not lock, the outside mesh door that keeps bugs out doesn't fit the the door way so it falls off when you touch it. My daughter's closet door fell off a few months after using it. During summer the AC could not keep up with the heat. We have asked multiple times to replace it and they just put a band-aid on it and it still runs like crap. There has been a couple break-ins since I have lived here. My apartment building is lined against a schools playground between 11:00am-3:00pm all I hear is a bunch grade school kids screaming. They have a half drier and washer in the apartment.

Every thing was great at first. Then under new manage everything went downhill. Petty crime seems to be going up and the fact that we have a police patrol only makes matters worse. I first came in under M2 group who did an amazing job at making sure the tenants are satisfied with their units. The manager would engage with residence outside of the office and work to make sure your issues are handled. Glick took over in and its been a nightmare from day one. The renter and property management need to have a trust relationship. The management should trust the person renting will make rent, and in return the renter will trust that management will provide a safe and comfortable place of residence. This is not the case at hunt club. You pay what they want or get out. Great if you need a place for the year, not if your looking to stay for a while.

I don't even know where to start. The staff is nice, both the office and maintenance, but don't expect anything more than a nice attitude. They are all talk. Air conditioning is lucky to break 73 degrees and that is after running 24/7. I wish that was an exaggeration. Was told several times that someone would take a look at it, but apparently that is where it stopped. Told by one person that the A/C unit is barely large enough to cover the apartment size, but then told by another person that it is more than adequate and we have one of the largest A/C units at the complex. All while this is happening it never gets to a comfortable temperature. Keep in mind that it struggles to break 73 when it is 80-85 degrees outside. The rent is entirely too high once you consider all of the inconveniences that this complex comes associated with. It is uncomfortable in the units throughout the Spring/Summer/Fall when temperatures reach 80 or above. If you request to have any repair in your unit then expect to have it half-assed even after three to four trips. Like I said, the staff is nice, but nice staff does not make up for the shortfalls. Can't wait to move out of this place and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I have lived at Hunt club since Jan. I wish someone had warned me before I moved in here. I would not recommend these apartments. They are not worth the money. The apartments were purchased back in December 2012 by Gene B. Click and it has been a nightmare ever since. Maintenance does not fix things right away - it usually take 2 or 3 attempts. The apartments are constantly burglarized. They are spacious but the building are extremely old and always breaking. Maintenance has been out 5 times since spring to recharge my air conditioner. Old heating and air conditioning units. Heating was also nightmare - when it worked. The office staff are just dreadful. The manager is never available and hides in her office. She really believes she does not need to speak with the residents. Very sad. The other two women/assistant managers are real tools also. The older lady is most unprofessional and unhelpful. I called in a work order regarding my bathtub and the first thing out her mouth was we will charge you the cost of the repair. I have never lived in an apartment where they actually charge the resident for repairs. Especially when the problem is normal wear and tear. Gene B. Click is extremely cheap and petty. Why buy an apartment community if you can afford the upkeep. Every week there are letters and notes about parking, grills, towing cars and so on. it's like anything they can think of rule wise, we heard about it. I cannot wait to move. When I tell you this has been nightmare - don't take it lightly. Oh, if you have kids be aware there are a lot weird perverted type men living in the community and they are always walking around and creeping around in the wee hours of the morning. Not a safe place for kids and women. Lighting is a serious problem!. One of my neighbors had her door kicked in while she was in the house. The man forced her to the back of apartment at gun point and insisted that he was looking for someone and this occurred steps away from the office in the daytime. Scary stuff.

To the person who posted and said they were amazed at the comments!! If it isn't in fact a person from the leasing office trying to do damage control I say enjoy your stay!!! I won't ---- on you for praising the apartments for being nice because everyone expectation aren't the same and what I consider nice may be above your expectations. As for the price you are absolutely right about it being a great price for the space!! However!! Price isn't really the issue for me. It's all about the staff and the professionalism of who I am writing my rental check out to every month. Remember you haven't completed a full year so when that year is up if you still love the atmosphere then kudos to you but the price of the apartments are going to be the least of your worries unless you don't know any better!! You get what you pay for!!

Overall, I have enjoyed living here. I am choosing to leave at the end of my lease this year due to it being bought out by Gene Glick. Ever since they have taken over, me along with every other renter get these constant ANNOYING notes on our door about one thing or another. ALWAYS petty. My husband and I are allowed to have two vehicles on our lease, and we received a note the other day that said they are going to tow our truck within 72 hours unless we move it. It hasn't been moved in about a month because I lost my job and my husband was the only one working. Instead of driving the gas guzzler, he drove our car. This apparently is unacceptable. So every morning I now get up and drive it around the block and back in it's parking place. Yes, really. I'm sure there has been crime in this area before.. But in the year that my husband and I lived here we never had ANY issues at all. I didn't even have problems with noise which is almost unheard of in an apartment complex. A day after Gene Glick bought this place, the office got vandalized. The renters personal information and keys to our apartments were compromised. A few weeks later, we received a notice that people's apartments are getting broken into during the day. That someone breaking down the front doors. It just seems like within the last month or so- we went from a quiet community to a crime filled one. I don't like it. Pros: The apartments are spacious. Nice counter tops in the updated apartments. Relatively new appliances. The shared entry way to the apartments is nice and clean. The tile on the floor is nice and very presentable. The grounds are kept relatively clean. The people that live here are nice. At least everyone that I have run into. The management BEFORE Gene Glick were really cool. They were fair too, if we ever had a concern. I could count on them to work something out with me. Now, not so much if at all. Cons: New owners. These people are SERIOUSLY petty. It gets hard to deal with. The rent is kind of high considering the area- but on the other side of that the updated apartments ARE nice. From what I hear, rent is going to be going up under the new owners though, and anything higher than the 750 a month we pay is not worth it for this place. I won't say "don't" move here. There are pros to it. But it's going to be going through some major changes with Gene Glick, and with higher rent and how petty and unwilling they are to work with the renters- I could see it going downhill rather quickly.

I lived at Hunt Club for 5 years. I loved it when I first moved in because it was a huge apartment for a good price. That and I got a partially updated one. Management changed several times over the five years, which caused a problem because every time you got to know anybody, they were gone. I pretty much kept to myself regarding maintenance, but real emergencies, it did often take awhile to get anyone out. I had a small flood due to a broken ac unit and I ended up ripping my own carpet up because they just dried it out for a little bit...it started to smell and discolor so I just told them if they didn't do something I would. They ended up tiling the area. For awhile they only had one or two maintenance men for the whole complex. By the time I left, I believe they had more. Don't ever try to get anything done with corporate. They don't really put much concern or money into this property. That limits what the office staff can do and pay for (landscaping, maintenance, etc.). They re-painted and tiled the halls, but the paint colors were ugly (puke green) and then they didn't ventilate it, so you smelled paint in a closed hallway and were dizzy for days. Then they ran out of money and didn't finish the painting for months. Overall, I liked living at Hunt Club. They have meetings regarding personal safety and seemed to start finally taking care of getting some of the criminal activity out of there. I never felt I was in danger, but I also have dogs. They are pet friendly, but could be more so if they put in more doggie stations or a dog park. I didn't know any of the office staff by the time I moved out. I tried, but by then they knew I was moving out, so they didn't really ever communicate with me. Overall, a good apartment for the price (although they raise it by huge amounts every year you renew!), seems pretty safe, great location, somewhat clean, but no special landscaping, and be prepared to take care of a lot of stuff on your own. Just average.

I love this place =)
I moved in about 5 months ago and it has been the best decision I've made in a long time. I was so overwhelmed when I was looking for an apartment in Indianapolis, so many choices and so many things to consider! I was greeted with a smile and a very friendly woman. When she showed me an apartment I was in love. The bedroom is HUGE and there is a walk in closet! The grounds are kept very nice and they are constantly keeping up on anything that needs to be fixed or upgraded. The complex is very quiet, which I love! I have two puppies and there is plenty of grass and places to walk them. The staff in the office is very nice and has always been helpful and accommodating. The maintenance men are awesome! They are there when you need them and they try their hardest to get things done as quick as possible. I will be very sad if and when I need to move.
