Maintenance
The maintenance staff for the Hunt Club apartments are horrible! If ever you need anything service or fixed, you have to continuously call them day by day to let them know that you put in a work order. I can honestly say, I have waited so long for something to be fixed I forgot that I had called and reported it. They came literally 2months later! The management team is no better, I thought by hiring a whole new office staff things would change. Sad to say, I was wrong! There is a major lack of communication on thier end. If u call the the office nine times out of ten they WILL NOT ANSWER! One day I called 13 times in a row jus to b put on hold and then hung up on. No one around here moves with any since of urgency. Hunt Club's maintenance staff even had an employee that was on criminal probation. At the end of the day it jus doesn't seem like anyone around here cares. I have been here going on two years, and I constantly have the same problems with lack of communication with management and lack of service from the maintenance team! That is my only two problems with the Hunt Club apartments, other than that the actual floor plans, grounds and location is nice! I don't know if I would recommend these apartments to anyone, management & maintenance would have to put forth more effort and show improvement. Bases of this all, I will not be renewing my lease and I'm warning anyone who is thinking about becoming a resident!

Hunt Club Apts.
Hunt Club Apartments Once I saw how beautiful my apartment looked, I knew I found the perfect place at Hunt Club Apartments. The Staff was very professional & extremely courteous at all times. Its perfect, two- bedrooms & two-bathrooms, also washer & dryer, carports . Great location near Castleton Mall, Downtown Indy & Fort Harrison. One of the best School district is Lawrence Township, awesome teachers. I enquired about a place in December 2011 & within few days I received a call from the Manager at Hunt Club, I was all approved with a gorgeous apartment. I moved from another state and all my information was received online & happy to say everything was done very accurately. Everyone was super nice, Management went above & beyond to make sure everything was done appropriately due to my move in date. Happy New Years to me by the first of the year, Wow thanks to Hunt Club I was in my new place. Yes I was very thrilled, It really made my day, ready to relax in my brand new apartment, after 8 hours of driving from Tennessee to my new home, so thankful to be in Indianapolis. Exactly what I needed, very large & spacious with an upstairs balcony & large closet areas. The kitchen is my favorite, very modern with plenty of room, wonderful for family gatherings. Brand new carpets, the whole nine works. My place was a true blessing & Staff made it a very comfortable & satisfying stay, everything was terrific. There is no place like home at Hunt Club Apartments. I really do recommend these apartments to everyone, you will be very pleased. Very proud to be a tenant at Hunt Club Apartments, Indy"s Best.

Unbelievable
I was at my parents on vacation this year and couldn't believe it. They have lived there long enough to own it, so nothing gets replaced. No new cabinets, tile or countertops as promised. They have been waiting on a new door for months, but keep being told it's on order. They had a hole in the dining room ceiling and leaking for months. The toilet was finally repaired and a week later it's broken again and the tile needs to be replaced around it. The shower is a mess, not repaired correctly. It needs a rail to hold on to while taking a shower. My dad has to complain all the time. Now if you are just moving in, you'll get a beutiful remodeled apartment. My parents are seniors and forgotton at Hunt Club!

Like my Apartment
This is my 1st year in Hunt Club and I will be renewing my lease. I moved into one of the apartments where the kitchen and bathroom where recently updated. It's wonderful. I will say that though I like the upgrades the cost of a 1 bdrm is more than I've paid in the past but like I said the upgrades are beautiful. I can hear my neighbors above me when they are moving around but they are quiet for the most part. Maintenance is kind of slow but they are really nice ppl and so are the property managers.

It's all I know...
Hunt Club is the first apartments I've lived in as an adult. My first 8 months or so were pretty great until a few people moved in who don't understand that screaming, cussing, and crying travel through walls. However,I renewed my lease. There's a discount for those who work for the government or are in education. Also, most neighbors are respectful, the area feels pretty safe, and my 1 bedroom apartment has a HUGE closet. From what I've heard and read about other apartments Hunt Club is a decent place. I'd recommend it to a friend, just not my building because of the occasional noise.

The New Staff is Amazing
I've lived at the Hunt Club now for two years and have had some ups and downs. My lease is ending here soon and I have been thinking about looking around. However, recently they have hired a completly new staff (Office & Maintenance) that have been out of this world. Pam and Doug in the office have been very attentive of what needed to be done around the complex and follow up on everything to make sure it has been finished. The new maintenance staff is also on top of everything too. In the past it has sometimes taken weeks for some of my requests to be taken care of. Since the new staff has been around my requests have taken no more than 48 hours. They have also been doing work to increase the quality and safety of the complex. Today they are working on the car ports to make them safer, which I have been asking for since I've moved in. I'm happy to say that I will not be moving anytime soon and will be renewing my lease.

Loving my new home!
When I first saw this complex I immediately knew I wanted to live there. Other places in the area did not compare - especially quality-wise. I was taken in by the hard surface countertops and the nice ceramic tile floors. My apartment didn't have the new cherry cabinets, but they are very nice. The grounds are beautiful, the pool and saunas are very nice, and the few maintenance items were taken care of within 24 hours of my move-in inspection. I wish they had more garages available, but I got a carport close to my new home, so it wasn't so bad. The management is very pleasant, Doug and Scott mostly, haven't had much interaction yet with Pam. The new maintenance guys have been friendly and helpful and I'm pretty pleased with my choice. I'm sure if you look around the area, you will find that Hunt Club has the best quality and the friendliest staff; they are not the cheapest, but remember, you get what you pay for!

Professional Staff
I came to Hunt Club to check out their apartments and was talking to the leasing agent and waiting for by boyfriend to arrive so we could see the apartment together. While I was waiting, a transsexual or transgender person came in; the person looked like a man dressed in women's clothes. I excused myself so the leasing agent could assist him/her while I waited in the clubhouse area. After the person left, I half expected the leasing agent who was a guy, to make a joke about the previous visitor, but I didn't hear one unkind remark, no jokes, no nothing. They seem to be a very professional group there, and I respect that. I'm looking forward to making Hunt Club my new home.

A very nice place to call home!
I've lived at Hunt Club since January and I'm very happy with my home. I have a cottage that has a private entrance with no one living above or below me. The apartment is very nice with cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and ceramic tile floors. My sister just bought a house and it's not as nice as my apartment at Hunt Club. The staff are very friendly; although there is a new manager and assistant manager now from when I moved-in, the current staff are very nice and have been extremely helpful. I read several reviews before posting mine and I've got to say that some of these people must have gotten into some trouble to post such nonsense. As I said, I moved-in in January with snow on the ground and I found the maintenance staff at Hunt Club clearing sidewalks, putting down salt and plowing their own streets and parking lots. Yes there was still snow on the ground, but it was hard to control because it just kept coming. I can say that Hunt Club did a wonderful job with the snow removal. I also wanted to comment on the "crime". Having been here for 6 months now, I've not had a single issue. The lighting is sufficient and in the case of my building, my neighbor complained that the lighting was too bright. My work schedule kept me away from all but two of the crime watch meetings, the last one I attended only had two people there, other than the office staff and the police officer from Lawrence that patrols the Hunt Club site. If management did stop the crime watch meetings I can certainly understand why, no one comes to them. But since there was another one this month, I know they have not stopped them. All I can say is that my experience has been very positive and I would encourage all of you reading the reviews to take them with a grain of salt; complaints always travel twice as fast as a compliment. I've been very happy here and I think you will to, so come take a look and decide for yourself.

Nightmare
I have lived in the Hunt Club for 2 years. My car has been broken into over 5 times and it has taken the entire 2 years for work orders to be complete. The office canceled the most recent crime watch meeting without scheduling another. After contacting the police officer who offers the meetings, i was told that the office manager cancelled and did not choose to reschedule. I call to speak with the office manager only to be lied to and told that she could not get a hold of the police officer. I explained that i have his direct number and would be happy to set something up, she was very rude and told me that she is fully capable. When i asked if we had security she said that there was a security gaurd that would do random drive throughs of the property. I explained that my car had been broken into multiple times between the hours of 10pm and 5am, my nieghbor had her sterio system stolen as well as rims leaving her car on bricks during the same time period. Why can't the officer just patrol at night when all of the breakins are occuring. She replied...(not joking)...he does random drive throughs so he can suprise the culprits, if he was here every night how could he suprise them. Seriously? Are we throwing a birthday party? I can go on and on about all of the ways i was treated rudely and all of the things that went unfixed in my apartment dispite paying a maintenence fee every month. I too, was given one qoute on rent and then show up to sign my lease and it's for $150 more than what was agreed upon. By this point everything i own are in a uhaul in the parking lot and i have no choice but to sign. To say the least, this property has taught me how to cover my tush from the next property i rent from. If you move in hear, good luck keeping a car sterio, being able to drive on the property with snow on the groud, getting anything fixed or getting treated with respect after paying over $100.00 more than you were suppose to. The lighting in the parking lot is bad, which i am sure contributes to all of the breakins. Some of the lots do not have any lighting which the apartments refuse to fix saying this is an IPL issue, but IPL says that it is the responsability of the complex to keep up.

I've found HOME!
After loosing my house to foreclosure, I was looking for a place that had all the comforts of home, at least the ones that would fit in the apartment. Hunt Club offered me their two bedroom apartment, "cambridge" I think they call it. This apartment is so nice. I have two full baths with granite tops and ceramic tile floors and granite counter tops in the kitchen. . . I've never seen that in an apartment before. I guess it has been a long time since I lived in one, but I certainly don't remember them being this nice or this large. The staff was great to work with, even my foreclosure was not a problem. I've lived here for a few months now and the staff is great, the service could be faster, but I didn't have an emergency, so it was fine. I've only met one of my neighbors so far, that lives below me, they couldn't be nicer neighbors. I love my new home at Hunt Club, I'm sure you will too. Some of the folks on here must have done something wrong and got called out on it to be so negative, but I'm telling you as honest as I can, this place is great!

All things considered
I've read most of the other reviews tenants have written and I agree with a lot of them. I don't find the management staff *that* unbearable, but maintenance can be annoying most times. I've been here 8 months, have had 3 floods in my unit, and all were responded to promptly. (The water heater burst with #3) They did end up cutting a whole in my wall, and it took them around 3 days to come back and fix it, but they fixed the leak quick enough...Other issues they've also taken forever to respond with (like the heating issue we had when we first moved in) You can tell the buildings are aging, but that happens when something ...ages! :) As for safety, I can't say I don't feel safe here, but I am cautious, my husband on the other hand, doesn't feel safe at all. Anybody concerned about crime in their neighborhood can use http://imaps.indygov.org/cvc/default.asp to see what crimes were committed within a radius of an address. It's definitely a handy tool. The best things about my unit is the layout/huge closet, and the location. You are within 15-20 minutes of everything, and being just around from 465 makes accessibility easy! Although there are times when I do hear the traffic from the interstate, but, it's not that bad. The walls are also paper thin. (There have been times I've been in the bathroom and have heard the people above me also "doing there business"). Children do have a tendency to play in the street, and you have to be careful when driving around the complex, but thats more of a parenting issue then anything else, and most of them do move onto the sidewalk. I will also say I'm confident that when our lease is up, my husband and I will be moving.

I love Hunt Club!
Great apartments, very spacious, quiet neighborhood. Not a lot of crime, I rarely see any cop cars go through. New upgrades are my favorite! Cherry cabinets, granite countertops, black appliances...wow! Maintenance is a little slow sometimes but all the emergencies are taken care of same-day. I've lived here for about a year and a couple months now. Out of the five apartment complexes i've lived in in my life, this is the best by far!

5 years In counting
It ia so halarious to read some of your reviews about how the hunt club staff is so friendly and so fourth. First off I've lived here for almost 6 years and I must say the only reason for my long stay is because I had a grade school kid and wanted to make sure he stayed stationed in one place instead of moving but honey let me tell you. Now that he is done and moving on so am I. I don't use the word hate losely so when I say it, it has to be for something really serious but I absolutely hate Hunt Club apartments. I mean starting with the basics of the gas bill. Any of you who sit up and have excepted the fact that you are paying gas in an electric apartment are completely ignorant. For one the obvious is when you don't have any meters on the property other then the one located at the office but yet your charging a complete community and the office can never give an intelligent logical answer as to why. For two. calling in a work order is like pulling teeth because it takes forever then once they finally come out they don't dive in and fix anything. They just simple put a bandaide over the problem until next time. Kathy is fat trash and so are the idiots who stand by and think that living in the Hunt Club is like living in a nice atmosphere. One thing is surely for certain whom ever believes they are living in the life of luxury here has obviously never had anything nice before so you wouldn't know what nice is. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful I don't live in The Cottages or some of the other communities compared to ours but honey at the end of the day it's all the same. Kathy who should return to grade school and learn what manners are when speaking to others. My two year old could teach her a thing or two about how she should treat people. I feel sorry for her son. He's like some sort of throw away. Wondering the apartments like a lost puppy. Sorry for the insult but I simply call it like I see it. The young girl in the office now is like a blind man walking LOL!! It only takes a few words and a short conversation to catch her in a lie ( which I have caught her in several). I see so many people come and go I've just been counting down to the days when I actually move and not look back and now that I have served my purpose for staying trust me I wouldn't look back. The only thing I can say honestly that I will truely miss is my neighbors. Well the ones who know how to communicate and be descent. Well chow and good luck and God bless the ones who don't know any better..........

Eh' it's just OK.
First the good: The office staff is very friendly when I call. The apartements are big and spacious. My neighbors are cool. Now for the bad: The maintenence is lazy and that's putting it nicely. It usually takes a team of two to do anything right even if it's as simple as lighting the pilot light on the "hybrid" furnace. (they will tell you it's a hybrid furnace, but make no mistake...it is a regular, old ---, gas furnace) The grounds (at least my building) looks horrible and a lot of times are unsafe. The last time it iced over, which was actually just last week. NO BODY BOTHERED TO PUT SALT DOWN FOR 3 DAYS....THEY JUST WAITED FOR IT TO MELT! I usually have to call to ask them to put salt down, but this time I just waited to see if anyone would do it...guess not. Rain has washed away most of the mulch from the front of my building and now it is just muddy from the sidewalk to the parking lot. UNACCEPTABLE! Although the apartment is big for the money it is not built very well. There are huge cracks in the bricks and outside walls of a lot of the buildings. My upstairs neighbor is a little lady and never has people over, but I can hear every step she takes. If you are looking for a 1 bedroom you won't find a better floor plan with a bigger closet (it is HUGE) for the money. I've never felt unsafe here. I have dogs though, and if anyone felt confident enough to break in to my apartment they would be pretty stupid.

Get Real & Take some responsibility for your own actions
I've been a residnet at Hunt Club since before Prime Quest purchased, back when it was owned by AIMCO, and I can tell you that Prime Quest has done a great job with this apartment community. I've been very happy; side from the mess that was made in my apartment during my upgrades to a rehabbed apartment, I've been very happy, but to their credit, they did tell me that the sanding and whatnot would make a mess; guess I just didn't know how much until it was done. For those complaining about the crime, here has always been crime in Indianapolis and even more across the street at the Cottages of Fall Creek. Hunt Club cannot control crime and they are not the police. The current management used to hold cirme watch meetings, but usually there was just me and one other residet and the staff. How can you complain that Hunt Club is not doing enough if you are not taking responsibility for your own actions and participate in the crime watch? Hunt Club gave me permission to install an alarm system, which I did and I have renters insurance, so if a my place is ripped off, I can easly replace my property. It's not Hunt Club's place to inform you of crime, you can look them up yourself at crimereports dot com. My maintenance issues are alwasy take care of promptly and my newly renovated hallway is stunning. In reference to the poster that was calling Kathy & Scott names; I don't know who Scott is, but Kathy is always in the office when I come in; I've never had to hunt her down to ask a question or to get my issues resolved. I'm happy living here, I have a great apartment and the service is much much better than when AIMCO owned it.

Maintenance Quick To Respond
I had been reading reviews about this apartment and the horrible maintenance issues. I just recently moved in but we had 2 problems that we talked to the office about. The one maintenance called within 30 minutes and was out within a few hours to fix. While they were here they discovered something else and said that it would be a day or so and ended up coming back that afternoon within an hour of the time they left to solve that problem. Residents I have spoken with say maintenance is fast for them and wasn't an issue.

worst maintenance ever!!
I'm a 29 yr old female. When I call the office to put in a work order it takes at least 3 days for someone to get off their --- and do something. Once my heat was out and it was 30 degrees outside AND I had the flu. I called 3 times begging for someone to come over...nothing. Finally I called my father, who then called Dump Club. There was someone over there fixing my heat within 10 minutes. I don't feel that I should have to call and harass the place that I pay money to, to do their damn job. Another thing. If you like your belongings and want to keep them, I suggest you get a BIG barking dog if you're going to live here. Just last month on Thanksgiving weekend 4 apartments in the same building was burglarized....one right after the other. In 2 weeks there have been 11 break-ins. When it comes to the appearance of the community they are only concerned with the entrance of the property. The rest of it looks as crappy as it can, and they do not care. Needless to say I will not be resigning my lease.

Walk-through before moving in!
Although the community offers great square footage and is pretty peaceful the issues of the property far outweigh the space. It is important if you select this community to request a walk-through of your apartment long before you sign the lease. There were three new tenants moving in this weekend, including myself, and none of the apartments were ready. The model you will view is very appealing, but your apartment will not have the same time and care put into it. The cabinet work in the model is only for the model and will NOT be used in your new apartment. When I took possession of the apartment there were drawers that had no tracks, the dishwasher moved around with the slightest touch, the upgrades were not completed throughout the entire apartment as per the lease, the cabinets did not have knobs, they were uneven and quickly thrown together, the bathtub had a large chip with rust lines that were not removable through the base of the tub. The doors won't open properly because they are too large, shower doors hit the toilet because they do not fit the bathroom, and the bugs they call roly polys are out of control if you have a first floor apartment. I would honestly suggest you spend time looking for something else rather than settle in here. From all the fees that will be included to the maintenance requests that may take several attempts before they complete properly, and the inconvenience of them completing your apartment while you are in it....this should be your last choice. If you aren't picky and are OK with things being half --- most of the time this could be a pretty comfortable community, but you may want to look for something less expensive if you know you are willing to settle. If you like being lied to, extra fees added to your rent and very noisy neighbors then this is the place for you...
I have lived at Hunt Club for 5 motnhs now and since I have been here it has been pure hell. Well, to start off when I first looked at the apartment it was nice which it still is. Upon moving in I was told one price; then, when I bring in the check I am told another price which is almost an additinal $400.00 from what I was told originally. My rent is suppose to be $650.00 plus about 35.00 for water, trash and sewer but I have never paid $685.00, my rent is always $750.00 and up. I was told that if I didn't use my gas then I would be charged for it but I have always been charged for it. I tried calling the gas company to see how it's calculated but since the account is in the apartments name they would give me no information. This month I was charged $195.00 for water and sewer, God only knows how they came up with that amount, I have also tried to see who the water and sewer is thriugh as well... To make matters even worse, my upstairs neighbors make so much noise that it sounds like 5 obese people running around, this is heard from the time I go to bed until I get up and get ready for work in the morning... I have called the police on them several times. When you tell the office they just look stupid, tell you to put in writing or better yet they give you some crappy tape recorder and tell you to record the noise... To top things off, they just fixed my broken bedroom window that I told them about in December 2007, when I did the walk through... I have tried contacting Prime Quest but they never get back with you, the number that I found on the internet is disconnected and when you ask the office for the number they act like it's a crime to give it out. The manager is an idiot and all the office staff are her puppets. When you ask to speak with Cathy she always acts as if she is busy, then Paula and Elle act like they cannot make a move without her. I cannot wait until my lease it up and once I find out that I have been overcharged for the untilities that are "suppose" to be included in the monthy rent I will be filing a lawsuit, just like the lawsuits pending for the other communites managed by Prime Quest here in Indianapolis, IN... But Hey, if you want to live in an nice aparment, only minutes from the "hood" where they rip you off every month, then this is the place for you...

Don't Be So Picky
I have lived here for almost one year. I haven't had too many maintenance problems, but they have all been fixed in an acceptable amount of time. I live near the highway, so there is always some "white noise" when i am outside. There is a huge highway light over my parking lot, so it is very bright at all hours. I am not afraid to walk my dogs at 2:00 in the morning, and I know that my car is safe. I live on the ground floor, so I occasionally hear music from upstairs. That is a downside of living in an apartment though, not specifically Hunt Club. If you are looking for a perfect apartment, you are not going to find it around here. The surrounding apartment complexes have way more problems. (The Cottages, The Orchard, Salem Courthouse) These are the best in the area! I love the inside of my apartment. It is huge! From the inside, you would never know it was near the "hood". If you get an updated unit, it looks like an apartment out of Geist!

Dangerous and unacceptable
I have lived in Hunt Club apartments since October 1st, 2006 (approximately 8 months). Upon moving in, my trash compactor did not work. I asked that it be replaced, and 2 months later, it was not. Then, I was told that they would replace the compactor with a cupboard. I was glad to hear it, but my inoperative compactor remained in my kitchen for 2 more months, in which case, I removed it myself, and put it in the hallway. Remarkably, it was removed from there in 24 hours. It's interesting how work gets done when it becomes their problem. Not so remarkably, it has been 4 months since then, and I still have a hole in my kitchen where my trash compactor used to be. I have made several calls about this, with NO action. I was told that the parts were "on order." For 4 months? Completely absurd. In addition to this, my apartment was broken into in January. And 3 weeks later, another apartment in my building was burglarized as well. In light of this, I would expect that the management would try to take care of my maintenance concerns in hopes that they were earn my business when my lease is up. But, as I have explained above, very little has been done to show any resemblance of competance or care. To add to my feelings of insecurity in this apartment, I've found my mailbox open and empty on three or four ocassions. God only knows what has been taken from me. To be fair and objective, I must mention that I love the floorplan of the apartment I live in. I love it. This is honestly the only good thing I have to say about this community. Sadly. To summarize my thoughts, I find Hunt Club to be dangerous, and unacceptably incompetant in addressing the needs of their tenants. It's frustrating and infuriating. I simply CANNOT wait until my lease is up.

I LOVE HUNT CLUB!
I have lived at these apartments for 2 yrs now and I love it. The complex was recently bought out by another company and they are making some BIG changes! They have put tile in the hallways and are remodeling all of the apartments 1 by 1. The maintenance crew is excellent, fast, and friendly. They even helped me get my car out of the snow 1 time and another maintenance man helped me take a new couch into my apartment. The location is excellent, the neighborhood is safe, and the cost is very reasonable. *****HUNT CLUB IS A LOVELY PLACE TO LIVE. I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A QUALITY APARTMENT!******

Crappy crap crap...renter's beware!
This place SUCKS! We have lived here for 10 months and are PROMPTLY moving as soon as our lease is up in 2 months. Within the first month here, our wreath was stolen off of our front door and my car was broken into. My fiance's car was stolen, our mail has been stolen three times, and a month after my car was fixed, it was broken into AGAIN. Screw this place - there is supposedly a security guard that does patroles around here, and he's a LIAR and an IDIOT who really doesn't care. DON'T MOVE HERE!!
