My mail gets stolen, all the time! We used to at least have signs up saying do not leave the mail at the front door! Nothing now. No signs, no working with the delivery services, no camera! Yet they know it happens often! I had THREE packages stolen today and I think it's ridiculous we allow people to live here and get away with that! Son far in the past I've been lucky to have these items replaced but this is getting so frequent I'm sure my luck is going to run out! At this point I'll pay for the hidden camera, kick these thieves out !

I have lived here 3 yrs now and love it here. The maintenance is quick to respond to issues and office staff is wonderful and always makes me feel welcome. Jennifer is always pleasant and smiling. The grounds are taken care of well and it is a quite apartment building. I love using the swimming pool in the summer and events that the staff puts on are fun.

Do not live here. The apartments are old and dirty (don't be fooled by website photos). Staff is rude and maintenance is a joke. The hallways reek of cigarette and marijuana smoke. There is a rotting couch out by the dumpster that has been there for months. Laundry machines are often broken, and the laundry card-loading process is silly and time-consuming.

I love living here. All of the staff are nice and the maintenance guys are very nice as well! Every time I have a question about anything they help me as soon as they possibly can! During the day it's a little loud with the music and stuff but at night it's extremely quiet! It's a very nice place to live over all! They also have a beautiful pool for the summer time! Highly recommend.

This is such a good place to live. The staff is so kind and nice and the maintenance man for our building is always here to fix something. Its quiet I hardly ever hear anybody and if I do hear something it's the tenant above me. They are pet friendly too!!!

WARNING! Stay FAR away. Once upon a time, there was a resident in Shores of Roosevelt Park...not anymore. This place was a NIGHTMARE. First off, the community is DANGEROUS. If you are in this area, you better be locked and loaded. I would rather live in a lion's den than this part of town. Hoodlums, vagrants, and troublemakers are just waiting to prey on you and your family here. BE WARY. If you are a single youngster or mom, look elsewhere. The owners do not care about you and don't view your apartment as your home where you and your family live and make memories, they view it as their property and you are their almighty cash cow. I heard nowadays from friends that prices keep going up and they are trying to get every last cent from you, but it was even bad during my stay. Residents are somewhat sketchy, but everyone has a mutual hatred towards the management to this very day. Nice to your face, but will stab you in the back. And the pictures look NOTHING like the actual place. Cheers on your new apartment!

I am not happy with the new owners. They are money hungry and are nickle and dime-ing us to line their own pockets. Between increase and rent and the added on fees for amenities that used to be included the rent has increased by 37.00 in a very short time. The increases have been as follows: 1) Rent went up by 20.00 per month. 2) They are now charging us for garbage. Another 5.00. 3) Carports used to be free. They are now 10.00 per month despite the fact that there is not nugh free parking for everyone in my building if no one wants to pay for a car port. 4) They are going to be charging for water. Apartments do not have their own water meters. A fee of 17.00 per month for a one bedroom apartment. The pet deposit went up substantially and the monthly fee went from 20.00 to 30.00 per month per pet. This is higher than other apartments in the area. 5) When I first applied your income per month had to be twice the rent. Now it has to be 3 times the rent. The conditions of the common areas has deteriorated since the new owners took over. The common areas and hallways are filthy. No one has cleaned them in a long time. I see the same dead bugs in the hallways. All of the rent increases and additional fees have made it extremely difficult for renters on low and/or fixed incomes. These are the renters that would find it extremely difficult to save up for a deposit and first months rent s they can move out. Before the new owners I would have recommended The Shores to anyone and everyone. Now I honestly can't do that. There are better options out there.

I've lived here for almost 4 months now and I dont have a single complaint. Actually I was astonished seeing the other reviews. Im a young women living by myself and i feel totally safe. Maintenance responds the day I call and are always friendly. Management is awesome, sometimes take a little bit to get back to you but dont ignore your call and the grounds are kept really nice. The walls are a little thin but arnt all apartments. Overall though im satisfied and dont regret signing the lease at all!

The new management and maintenance here has been fantastic! The buildings and grounds are always very nice and clean. They are updating the apartments and doing everything they can to make this a great place to call home. For the price and location this is the best place in Muskegon!

Though it was noisy from time to time....what apt isn't? The office staff are great and will work with you if you have any issues. Maintenance are at your door to resolve the problem a.s.a.p. Nice location and the price is even better! One thing i would say negatively about the complex is the pool....it isn't sanitized. There were children that had took a "dump" inside of it over the summer and i don't believe they tended to the matter quick enough...but hey, i don't swim lol. Other than that...you get your moneys worth. Don't blame the complex, its the people within it that makes it suitable for you...and my neighbors are pretty ok in my book. Never had any problems...but I also kept to myself. So, it's up to you and what you're looking for really!

I do not recommend this place at all! The office staff is always extremely rude! I've had nothing but trouble since moving in. The place stinks and the halls are dirty. A water line broke while I was out of town and they tried to blame me for the damage. The lawn gets out of control before they mow it and the building looks run down. A few months ago my ceiling was leaking water and it took them forever to have someone come fix it. Shrubs are overgrown blocking the windows.

I am very satisfied and happy living here...and going on my second year! The staff and maintenance go out of their way to help any way they can, (i.e. I was walking in with a new table and chairs set, and the maintenance person actually brought my table in for me!!) and do go above and beyond! I would highly recommend THE SHORES OF ROOSEVELT PARK! It's a great place to hang your hat...and coat! ;)

I love living here! I'm signing for another year, this being my third. Anytime something needed attention in my place it was handled quickly, and once on a sunday afternoon. I had a another apartment when I first moved to MI where safety and noise were an issue, neither have been for me here. I don't always have a car so location to Walmart and bus stops works out well for me. In my experience in Muskegon you will find much worst places, and out of affordable places to stay I haven't found one better.

I'm surprised by the previous review as I visit my son often who lives there and we never hear his neighbors. We both expected to hear dogs barking or bumps and noises as you usually do in apts. but, honestly, as soon as he shuts the door there's nothing. So much better than his first apartment in Glen Oaks where the police were always being called and I feared for our safety. The parking lot was recently repaved and they added a dog run. He likes the walk-ability of the neighborhood. And, it has a swimming pool. Though he doesn't use it, it is a nice plus. He's getting ready to renew his lease for a third year. It's a good deal for the money and a safe place to live. If you like the location, I say go for it.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. For just a little bit more a month, take yourself somewhere nicer because this place is trashy. For one, its dirty. When I moved in my carpets were disgusting. I was always embarrassed to have people over because I didn't want them to think that I ruined the carpets. As with any place you will have some rude and strange neighbors, but I had quite a few crackhead neighbors who were always roaming around trying to get someone to give them some money or a ride somewhere. I've even had people knock at my door in the middle of the night to ask for something, it's just pathetic. This place is constantly loud. Someone upstairs from me was always playing loud music ALL NIGHT long, which is annoying when you actually have a job to go to in the morning and want to get a good nights sleep. When you move out they will try to suck as much money out of you as they can. They tried to make us pay for a sliding door on our closet that fell of its track, even though we had put in several work orders as it was a recurring problem- definitely not our fault. There were constant "inspections" going on and I often felt like my privacy was being invaded. oh yeah and to top it off, I know many people whose apartments got bed bugs, so they had to treat our entire building, and the exterminators stole $200 cash, which by the way had been kept out of sight in our jewelry box. I really have nothing nice to say about this place.. the place I'm living now (Muskegon Townhouses on Marquette Ave.) has blown this place away in every single way. Please do yourself a favor and find something nicer.

nice place to live
I have lived here for 14 months and have not had any complaints. I work third shift and the staff has gone out of their way to accomodate me during inspections, etc. The management staff are always pleasant and helpful. My apartment was clean, freshly painted and had brand new appliances.

apartment living
This is my first apartment living and its far different then your own home. There are people's noises all the time. Little bumps, thuds, muffled yelling. But for the most part its very nice. The apartments are well maintained. Not to say there isn't things going wrong, but a quick call to the office and the problem is noted and soon rectified. I've had only a few problems in the 16 months I've lived here and every one has been taken serious and addressed. The ladies in the office are professional and good at there jobs. I'm a truck driver and I'm gone a good portion of the month. I don't have to worry about my apartment being broken in to with the double door safety keys. Also they (office staff) will allow you to pay early with out a penalty. I have enjoyed my stay here so much I've gotten 2 of my sisters apartments. With a referral bonus that helps out a lot in these hard times. So if your looking for a safe, fare prices apartment, Swing in and talk to the ladies in the office. Tell them Mr. F.Stover sent you.

To whom it may concern
I've been a resident at The Shores of Roosevelt Park complex for three years and the entire staff treats you with courtesy, respect, and good service. I really think they go beyond their means sometimes to keep us happy and satisfied and they truly deserve a raise. I mean how many jobs do you know that works seven days a week? They do! Made a visit to Lakecrest Park, I believe now called The Shores of Rosevelt Park. The saff was very helpful and took their time going through each style of appartment and pricing. They also showed me the different appartments so I could see the layout and how each appartment might work for my family.

Worst place to live! be warned!
I have been living in these apartments for a year now and i have mold in the bathroom, has been listed by the city to be taken care of for 2 years now. Also have a list of 9 other things wrong with this apartment alone in our building and at least over 100 more in the building 3070. everything from Heat, mold, water damage in the bathroom and kitchen, Cable line for Tv and internet was damaged in the walls had to drill hole and take other apartments cable, Cabinet Storage to high, ECT. Rude new management and they never give full 24H notice to enter apartment! Sleep clothed they will enter and see you naked they did that to me two times now. Just come on buy 3070 building no key needed i bet they wont fix the main safety doors auto closing arm in a month or so. You have been warned good luck move into glen oaks!

Not a bad place to live for the money
I never had any problems during the time that I lived there. The management and maintenance staff were both professional and pleasant to deal with. This is not the nicest complex in Muskegon, but the price is definately right. As they say, you get what you pay for! If you are looking for an economical place to live, I would recommend Lakecrest.

Please help us end this horrible cycle!!!!!
This is a horrible, horrible place!!!! They have over 200 plus citations from the city inspectors. The heat is free cause it doesn't work. There's so many people in the 3080 building who have left breaking there lease cause this place was deamed unsafe for human occupancy. There was a fire in the buliding that a young mother and her 5 month old baby almost died and they didn't even provide her with a new home so she and her 2 kids went homeless. When the fire happened they didnt even have enough fire extinguishers they only had one!!! and half the building was on fire. The city has made over 3/4 of the buliding vacate cause of fire damage and peoples ceilings where going to fall in months before that. The hallways smell like feces and urine, it's dirty and always dog feces laying in the halls. It's always noisy, and the maintance men steal I've had to repeatedly call the police cause everytime I stepped out they stepped in!!! The police are so very worked out from all the complaints that are always made about them stealing. They still have signs on all windows saying dont occupy but they wont let anyone out there lease with any type money back, but they told the Muskegon Chronicle that they were providing movers trucks, and helping pay for 1st month and security deposits, but alot of those people went homeless. I want you all to go to the Muskegon Chronicle's website and bring up the 2 articles about it. Even the News Channel 8 tried to help shut them down but still they continue to let it happen. There's people's children that ended up with lead paint poisioning. I came back one time and my door was wide open and lights were on with no force let me guess uummm maintance right at night oh yeah!!! But the worst part hasn't been told, there's still fire damage, and the city inspectors still have the signs on the doors saying do not occupy and there moving people in still to this day!!!! This has to end, please help us put an end to this!!!!!!!
