DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! This was a horrible starter place!! The staff is horrible, rude and inconsiderate. That stupid gym they advertise only has 2 treadmills (Which neither work, called front desk and they stated a magnet would be needed to operate the machines which i had to pay 50$ for) parking sucks, roof leaks, 1 month living in this place our refrigerator went out, the floors are tilted and uneven causing anything on fridge or shelves to fall off and break, such a small living place, closets are a joke, painted sinks that they try to pass for marble, WHEN I SAY THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND WILL BE REPORTED TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TO BE SHUT DOWN I MEAN IT!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! WALLS ARE PAPER THIN, LAUNDRY UNIT ARE 2 WASHERS AND DRYERS TO BE SHARED FOR THE ENTIRE COMPLEX, UNIT REAKED OF LEAD PAINT FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS JUST HORRIBLE, OUTRAGEOUS FEES LIKE A RANDOM HOME RENTERS FEE THAT YOU PAY TO COVER THEIR PROPERTY YET IT DOESNT COVER YOUR THINGS!!! PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!! IF I COULD RATE 0 STARS I WOULD!!

Maintenance horrible, office people will get very rude on phone, outside lighting doesn't exist. Very anxious to move from here. Large rent increases every year with no improvements. Very disappointed here. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

I am pleased with the apartment itself considering the price. However,I have not been impressed with the office staff. They have been very rude in this whole process. I moved in three months ago and put in a work order the day I moved in but it has yet to be fixed. I will say,though, that they have responded to more serious issues promptly

A decent place for a starter apartment because of the price, space, and quality of building, but not for long term stay. Customer service is terrible. You usually have to inquire about work orders twice or thrice before someone does anything.

I have lived here for last three years overall experience has been satisfactory. The grounds are kept extremely well and apartment is for roomy too. Maintenance can be slow sometimes but been for 3 but ready to be resident for an another year.

When I first got here, I thought I had made the wrong decision. However, most recent management has changed my perspective. Maintenance shows up quickly and front office is amazing! I thoroughly enjoy interacting with the front office as well.

From the moment we moved in we have regretted that decision. We've seen so much crime, maintenance requests ignored, and just horrible behavior from the management. We can't wait to move out of this disgusting place. It is truly a nightmare.

It's good to live here but the only problem is the maintenance work is not done fast they take for ever to get the work done. If they could take care of the maintenance work on time then we would be happy living here and top priority for security is to be given as well. I fell little unsafe when I got to get out during 9t's.

You get what you pay for. This is a very, very cheap place to live and it shows. Neighborhood ridiculously unsafe. Teens setting off explosives in the parking lot. My car has been scraped multiple times. Thin walls, you can hear everything. Constantly smells like cigarette smoke everywhere. The pools are gross, the fitness center is a joke, the staff is condescending and slow to respond, the online pay system is not trustworthy, the hallways are dimly lit and scary looking, the elevator smells horrible and feels like it is going to break down at any moment, dusty, musty, showers are awful. Kitchen smells like garbage for no particular reason. Kitchen light is always broken, and when someone comes to fix it it's only temporary. Loud people coming and going at all hours.

The stay has been very positive. Recently all the personnel in maintenance has been released and not replaced, which is unacceptable to tenants. Now the personnel needs to be replaced with capable people. If office staff can be maintained then so should the maintenance personnel.

Having lived here many years, it used to be an exceptional value in every way. Maintenance was a top priority with the owner. The pool was always open on time. In the past several years, maintenance has declined steadily. Having spoken to a LOT of my neighbors, they all have the same lament. Maintenance is horrible, and the office staff is not trustworthy.

my husband our 2 year old and I have lived here 5 months. In those 5 months we have had no hot water 3 different times 1 time it was out 9 days. AC was out for 9 days. Raccoons in walls/ceilings. Rarely do we get answered/returned calls. I don't believe that the apartment I live in is worth the $700 a month that I pay.

The staff that actually sticks around this place, are very helpful. There have been a ton of issues with this until, that after two years of living here. It's best that I just now part ways. Also, this complex does have an issue with black mold. Which isa huge factor of why I'm not renewing my lease.

It has the good landscape, good service, good staff. Some facilities in apartment need to be fixed. Overall good experienses. I like the common area and the convenient parking space. The apartment itself is in overall good condition. It would be better if some small problems could be fixed faster.

The staff here are very incompetent and slow, if you need something done it will not be done in a timely manner, and they will try to get rid of you if they don't like you. They only care about what gets done where they live. Don't move to the Ridge at Chestnut.

MY EXPERIENCE IN THIS COMMUNITY SO FAR HAS BEEN GOOD, I HAD A FEW ISSUES WITH SOMEONE TAMPERING WITH MY GAS TANK CAP. THAT'S WHY SECURITY WOULD BE GREAT HERE. THIS IS A BIG PLACE SECURITY IS NEEDED. AND THE OFFICE STAFF IS REALLY GREAT. OK SO FAR.

This apartment complex is older, so the buildings are aged a little bit. It is very centrally located and has been very quiet. It has a small bark park for our dog. They allow dogs of any size, with a pet limit of 2. There are two pools and a clubhouse. Parking is sometimes limited.

I love The Ridge Community. I have great neighbors and the price I pay for my apartment.We have great amenities to use i.e. weight room, lake,a dog park and excellent space for walking. I enjoy sitting on my patio and relaxing. It's a great community to live in.

Good i have told friends to move in. The only thing that I dislike is there is no lighting at the entrance into the property and it just seems well scary when you pull into it as well i have had people drive by where I live due to lack of lighting on the address signs.

The Ridge @ Chestnut is a very pleasant and peace full community. Neighbors wave and speak and I believe the dog owners are the friendliest. I do not hear about a lot of domestic issues or crime in the area unlike some other complexes I hear and read about in the news like in the Overland Park area but I am sure we are not exempt.

Nightmarish.I've had my front door kicked in and was burglarized.I've had an Armed Forces (literally ) sized generator parked outside my bedroom window running day and night for 7 days and nights.The exterior lighting is a joke.And then someone opens fire with an AK 47 in a buildings hallway, filling surrounding apartments with bullet holes.The turnover of staff is surprising. New manager, new maintenance supervisor x 2,new leasing agents.Oh, and the sewer backed up into the laundry room, flooding the room with sewage, and was not addressed for 36 hrs., and THEN only because I called home office twice and threatened the health dept. if something wasn't done.To this very day, that floor has never been mopped completely, only around the floor drain. The same laundry soap spill in front of the machines is STILL there.

I'm afraid that my opinion of this community has changed drastically in the last four or five months. We were going to renew our lease however it took such a long time to respond to matainece and death with issue that affected our health that it is best for us to move.
