Great experience
[Incentivized Review] I really loved the whole experience with contacting the property from beginning to the end. From giving me all of the pertinent information I needed before I had my tour. Then when I had the tour Fatima was very pleasant & went over again in detail everything I needed to complete my application & seeing the property I wanted to get. This experience caused me to complete my application & I look forward to becoming a resident here Novisha L

Great first impression
[Incentivized Review] Celeste was a breath of fresh air. She was very knowledgeable about her property and specials. She was able to answer all of my questions. The apartment was great and the prices were in my budget. Thank you for an effortless experience. Kelvin

Excellent maintenance stays on top of issues, office staff are all quiet
Truly a great place to live it's pretty quiet, the apartments are cozy and the maintenance jump on whatever issues she had very quickly. I'm very grateful for them and Fatima and her office. Thank you!!!! Valet trash is great too

Don't move here, you'll regret it
When I moved here back in December 2021, this was a nice place to live but in recent months it has been terrible. Turnover in maintenance staff has caused delays in things being repaired but my two biggest complaints are (1) if your AC breaks, the management is in no hurry to repair it or have it serviced (2) you're forced to pay for "valet trash", $30 a month, and they frequently miss picking up the trash. I've had ongoing issues with the air conditioning here for the past several months and I think this would not be happening if they had preventative maintenance rather than wait for things to break down. Right now, my apartment is so hot and humid and it's because nobody has bothered to add freon! Because of nearby blocked drains that creates a nasty stench, the balcony door has to remain shut. Also, the windows here can't even be opened, which means you can't take matters into your own hands and get a window unit air conditioner. The valet trash is tacked onto the rent, you have no choice about it. That's $30 a month I'd rather save and take my own trash down. Also, the trash compactor is usually surrounded at one end by discarded furniture and other items. I think the management changed here and it's turning into a dump. I think there is no longer a permanent maintenance staff, which causes delays in things being fixed.

This has been one of the best moves ever. I came to Hunter Chase to view a one bedroom. I did not expect much honestly because I came from a sister property in Adams Farm and was treated like I was unwanted, spoke to like a dog and over all left feeling bad about myself. But all that changed when I came to hunters. I was greeted by Dawn with a smile and right away felt welcomed. I told her about my experience at a sister property and she then apologized on their behalf . Which she did not have to do. She showed me a unit , I feel the price was a little bit high and could definitely use a upgrade but it was clean and well maintained. I decided to rent because the customer service and dedication is the main thing that matters. While I was in the clubhouse filling out the application, Michael came out and introduced himself and chatted for a moment. Expressed to me he would love to have me as a resident. This sealed the deal. Not only was the Assistant manager great but also the Property manager. I am so happy here and will being staying as long as Michael and Dawn are here.

I have been a resident of hunters Chase for over three years. This property I's horrible to term residents. .All of the money is spent on the clubhouse to lure in new tenants. When a tenant moves out they throw on a splash of paint new carpet and new appliances. Nothing is ever done about the faulty foundation holes in the concrete or mold growing in the ceiling from water damage. Save your money for what you get this place is not worth what they charge! Look around so apartment complexes and townhomes offer so much more! I wish you could give 0 stars!

Do not apply here, not helpful and when trying to receive your admin back definitely not helpful. They acted as if they could not provide any information about anything. Worst experience ever. My address was incorrect due to the application requesting previous address. I had called and spoke with someone that was at the customer service building and she took my info down to have someone at the local office contact me back and no one ever contacted me back to have this corrected. I contacted them back and finally got a hold of someone almost 2 weeks later just for her to tell me she doesn't know if this can be corrected and could not point me in any direction to maybe speak with corporate or something.

DO NEVER EVER think moving to Hunters Chase. I had the worst experience in my life. I have seen people moving in and out every month. Buildings are old, I have reported several times maintenance issues that never got fixed. I fixed mine myself. Management is not qualified, they spent all their time in the office. We had some people with difficulties, I have never seen them helping in any way. Maintenance guys are most of the time drunk and they stink. They go to appartements and open doors with no notifications. Buildings have all kind of insects such as roaches, bedbugs ( the apparement are infested, by the time you move in, all your stuff get infested and they make you pay for it). Adding to this the noise from both highway 40 and big tree way. My friendly advise go somewhere else.

Staff seems nice and polite of course because they need to fill vacancies however the management is rude, unprofessional and neglectful. The only positive to this community is the location. Apartments are old and constantly needing maintenance. If you're moving for location, chose one of the other many choices by Wendover. Here's some photos from my experience including when a pipe burst and management told me they'd replace the carpeting considering there may be mold then later said they weren't since I was moving out soon. Guess it didn't matter if I experienced mold just so long as the next renters didn't.

Can't recommend. The neighbourhood is quiet but not safe. The staff is superficially friendly, but they will have no issues with entering your apartment without notice. Or letting someone else enter (a big issue if you have a stalker). Maintenance is subpar - they reacted promptly to my customer maintenance requests but the maintenance guy often did a poor job and the same thing needed to be repaired again, and again..

So I have waited to write this review because at first I was angry and I wanted to give a good review. I moved here in July and this is my first time living outside of student housing. I moved here to get away from crime mostly. I live alone and every Saturday night that I have been here I've heard gun shots and there are always people walking around when I get off at night. The maintenance guy smells like alcohol and they take their time when putting in a maintenance request. As a matter of fact I had to call the office to see if they got the request (they didn't) after a whole week went by and still didn't receive help. Another thing that happened this past week. As I was walking out my door I saw a letter posted on my apartment stating basically that they had 2 complaints about smoke smelling like something that's not tobacco (I don't smoke at all). In this letter she ended with they would eventually call authorities and investigate if they receive another complaint I'll be evicted (never been evicted). Not one time during both incidents did she come knock on my door to confirm the smell coming from my apartment on top of there being about 15 other people who live in the building. I contacted my lawyer which is why I didn't bother to contact the office. They handled that situation very unprofessional and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I live by myself and bother no one. I was just in the leasing office the day before they put the notice on my door and she didn't say anything about it. I feel like I'm being watched and harassed at this point. Oh yea last thing if you don't plan on paying for Spectrum or AT&T cable and internet do not move here and if you are fine with creepy crawlers don't move here the rent price is not worth it nor are the amenities worth what I've been put through. As soon as I can find a way to move out I will. Hope this helps! Don't let the smile fool you

I had a really good experience living here, and I'm only planning to move to save some money. The buildings and appliances are a bit older, but maintenance is great. Anytime I made a request, it was fixed that day or the next. The people in the office have always been courteous and helpful to me. The grounds are kept clean, and I've never used the pool but it looks well-maintained. Utilities are very reasonable, I typically paid $60-$80 a month for electricity, and $25-$30 for water. Noise isn't bad between apartments and the complex itself is pretty quiet, but I often hear sirens from Wendover at night. They don't charge pet rent, which is nice, and they didn't object to me installing some netting on the balcony to keep my cat from falling off.

I lived at Hunters Chase for 1 year and it was the absolute WORST experience of my life. The manager Denise is okay, but her assistant is not only a liar, but she has a horrible attitude and that was confirmed from former residents that I have spoken to since moving. They accused me of having an additional person living with me, then when I brought my concerns about the upkeep of the grounds, the constant odor of smoke in my apartment, the broken glass in the breezeways, and the crappy appliances, they took personal offense. To describe our "professional" relationship as intolerable is an understatement. There are certain residents who have lived there forever and can get away with partying all through the summer nights and leaving empty beer cans in the picnic area. I could literally go on forever and list reason after reason why you shouldn't live here. Also Wendover traffic is horrible, so add 15 extra minutes to your commute time. Save yourself the headache and don't live here.

I lived at Hunters Chase for about 16-18 months and really liked it. The office staff are really friendly, they will always take time out to talk with you about any issues you have and repair anything that isn't working properly (usually repair that day). I really loved living there and wish I could have continued being there. As a new college graduated I have to move where the work is. When looking at other apartments in Greensboro I noticed that they have gyms, pools and other amenities but most of them close those down at 10pm while hunters chase allows them to be accessed after hours, if you work late shifts (expect pool). The office is open everyday so someone is there to pay your rent to, fix issues that occur and just to say hello to if you want to drop by. They know each person by name. The only issues I had with living there was the parking because, some buildings have more space than others. (this was due to me being in a building that was heavily rented). The other buildings seem to be fine. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place in that area. I am genuinely giving them a good rating because I feel I really got my monies worth living there and not because I am an overly positive person. Great location, great grounds, good looking apartments (well kept), good staff, sometimes bad parking, no issue with neighbors (no violence, no crime, no yelling, polite neighbors).

Loved my experience here!!
My boyfriend and I live here for 2 1/2 years and it would have been longer had his job not required him to live in his work district. We went from a nice size one bedroom with an awesome price to a closet of a one bedroom that is more than $100 more a month and we have to pay pet rent. We absolutely loved Hunters Chase and didn't want to leave. Denise and Kris went above and beyond their jobs to help us with anything which is why I think the previous review is extremely shocking. Denise treated us as if we were her own children. Where we currently are, the manager doesn't even know our name which speaks volumes! When I had my car accident a few months ago and my boyfriend wouldn't answer his phone, I immediately called the office and Kris went to our apartment and woke my boyfriend up so he could come get me off the side of 40. Although the cabinets and appliances were a little dated, it never took away from our experience and the great price for the size of the apartment. Our neighbors were all very friendly and always said hello. I can't say enough about how amazing our experience was while we were there and if we don't move to Charlotte when our lease is up where we are now we are definitely moving back to Hunters Chase!

Bad Customer Service
Take CAUTION when moving into Hunters Chase. The office told us that the construction on Guilford College would be done in about a couple of months - it's still not finish. Wendover has awful traffic during the day and when turning into Big Tree way from 40, the light has the longest wait time. One of the manager is nice, but be careful. When an issue occurs, they can be very rude and disrespectful - absolutely NO customer service. They told me (Direct Quote): DON T TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB . They will not let you finish your sentences, they do not know their policies, and CHARGE FOR VISITING PETS (even if the pet is not yours). Also, they will talk about your personal information in front of everyone in the office regardless of who is in there - this has to be against some FERPA, HIPPA or Apartment Law. Make sure you look around before choosing this place. It s a lot of nicer apartment complexes in Greensboro that have managers with better customer service and that are less expensive.

Cozy, Comfortable, Affordable
I have lived in Hunters Chase for about two years and will be leaving for Asheville for grad school this Fall. I absolutely hate that I have to move the residents are nice, the apartments are a bit dated with the appliances and cabinetry but for the price and location you can't beat it! The staff is wonderful and maintenance is timely and professional. The staff really do care about the residents and will take any issue that you have seriously which is more than I can say for other apartment complexes that I have lived in. Great place to live!

Dishonest to Prospective Residents
I recently moved to Hunter's Chase due to the great prices on 2 bedrooms. When I toured the apartments and grounds, I was not informed of two major things that would be taking place. One, there was a road extension being done right BESIDE the apartment complex. The road Big Tree Way would be closing towards Guilford College. I HATE-HATE-HATE Wendover Avenue but due to the dishonesty of the leasing office I am forced to drive on it to get around because I don't have the Guilford College exit. I would have NEVER moved here if I knew that. The construction noise was unbearable. I got absolutely not sleep. The first couple of months, I was in a fog from sleep deprivation. Generally speaking these apartments are old, with old appliances. There should be speed bumps because people fly through the parking lots. Residents can get a little loud (college kids, or loser young adults who have no life). I can say the office manager Denise tries to take care of those situations. You do occasionally see the triflingly owner leave dog poop around, even though trash basins are provided. Why would you let your dog poop by the grill. Poop and food don't mix. There are completely ignorant people in this world and some unfortunately live in Hunter's Chase. Basically, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't live here if I could do it all over again. There are way more apartments better in Greensboro besides this one.

Not for me anymore and ever again
I don't want to beat a dead horse by confirming the negative reviews or start accusing staff members adding positive reviews to keep the #'s up but... This used to be the place that I looked forward to coming home to-now I cannot wait to find a new "happy place". I miss the good old days of socials, good neighbors, feeling connected to the community and the simple relief of knowing the people that worked there cared about the home and enviroment they were providing me. Granted, it is a business but when your business involves people and their homes, there has to be a little more passion and concern shown by the office staff.
