Beware of Management
Management has a horrible attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. To have to deal with someone of that stature on a monthly basis is unthinkable. Stay away from this place. You can do better. Try Camden Wendover (much better), and it's located right next door with cheaper prices, more square feet and much better staff.

Great Place
I lived in Hunter's Chase for two years and enjoyed it very much. The staff was always friendly and never had many problems..maintenance was always completed in a timely manner and the rent was affordable. Good neighborhood not much noise. I would recommend it.

Cannot wait to move in
I am getting ready to move in this month and I am so excited. I met with Cindy the first time and she was very patient with me (and my parents). I had a lot of questions and she really took the time to help me. She made me feel important. I am new to Greensboro and she gave me directions to here, there, and everywhere. I did look at a few more places but was impressed with Hunters Chase. I got to meet some of the people who work there on my second trip although they were busy but Cindy wanted me to get to know their names too. She said that they did not get a bonus for new people and wanted me to know anyone could and would help me too. There was a person that lived there already who was using the computer in the clubhouse and she told me how much she liked it. She also said that I was in good hands with Cindy by my side. Hearing that confirmed what I already knew. If you are looking for an apartment, you should definately check it out.

Best apt/community I've ever lived in
I have lived in 7 communities and I can honestly say Hunters Chase is the best value for my money!

The landscaping really is beautiful. The location really is unbeatable. The staff (both office and maintenance) are professional & friendly. They express an interest in residents and seem to care genuinely about their quality of living. The manager follows up on issues that concern residents. The buildings are very well maintained; the only way you can tell it is an 18 year old community is by the mature landscaping. Another noticeable feature is the friendliness of the residents. People here actually talk to each other. I would not even consider living anywhere else in GSO.

the real facts
Reading through the reviews, I'm not exactly sure where all the negative feedback is coming from. My husband and I have lived at the complex for over three years and have never experienced any difficuties with the staff. Every time we've had an issue with noise or anything in my apartment, it has always been promptly resolved. This is our fourth apartment and I've never cared about having a personal relationship with the staff just that they do their job. So here are the facts, the manager won manager of the year for this area last year and the assistant manager won it this year. I would say this is doing your job pretty well. I've also noticed that the new leasing agent is much more professional than past ones that were more interested in what was happening out by the pool than resolving any residents issues. We've actually just signed another lease so we dont plan on leaving any time soon. As far as the price, its pretty good for this area considering you have everything around you (shops, eats, etc.)

Over-all a great place to live, excelent location, great floor plans, beautiful grounds, very good maintenance, and the office staff is the best I've ever delt with and I've lived in quite a few places in many towns over the years.

Great place
I don't know what people are talking about that are giving this place bad reviews. I have been living here for a year and a half now and never had a problem. Yeah some things happen. Cars get broken into everywhere! It is inevitable and not the apartment complaxes fault. And someone commiting suicide? As awful as that is, the apartment staff has no control over that!

I think the staff is extremely friendly. They have been friendly to me since the day I moved in. They say hi to me and refer to me by name everytime they see me. And I don't go in the office that often (except to get a package or pay rent), so it's not like they know my name b/c they see me all the time.

The landscaping is nice, the pool and clubhouse are nice as well. The only thing is that some pet owners do not clean up after their pets and being a pet owner myself and cleaning up after mine, that really annoys me. Clean up after your pet!! And keep them on leashes!!!

Oh and the only other downfall is that the appliances are old and so are the cabinets. That's the only thing I don't like.

Anyway I would totally recommend Hunters Chase. It is close to EVERYTHING you need!

Hey!
I have lived here for almost 3 years and I like it. I have read the reviews and I do not think they are very fair. To the people who posted their "comments"...How do you know about the car break ins? the peeping tom? the suicide??? I have lived at other complexes and have honestly never been told what has happened. Whenever something happens here AT LEAST THEY TELL THE TENANTS!!! You nay-sayers need to MOVE and make life easier for the rest of us that actually do like it!!! Find an island, safe from the rest of the us, where you can sling your verbal assault on the coconut tree that damaged your hut! And about the suicide, you all are sick! for being upset about it!!! Somebody committed an UNNATURAL act that resulted in their death. Where is your compassion? They killed themself. Have some respect. And why is it that this makes it "going downhill" or to ask people to "Visit anonther Link" You are a couple of cold hearted, pitiful, sad people. I can only hope, for your sake, that somebody close to you never decides this way out. If anyone is really using this site to find an apartment, this is a great place to live. But you don't know me so see for yourself. There has been some changes in the office but change is inevitable. Hell, I can't even find the same cashier at the grocery store I went to last week! I agree with the post about the manager, I don't see her much. I guess that could be either good or bad. Cindy, that's the assistant manager is super nice and has been here for a long time. The maintenance guys are AWESOME! They take care of stuff right away. I don't even have to change lightbulbs!!! :)
Good luck finding an apartment!

VISIT ANOTHER LINK!
My husband and I have been living here for almost a year and are TOO THROUGH with this place! I could deal with an occassional breakin (though strongly not preferred) but the suicide and feeling panicked anytime you leave a blind open over fear of having Mr. Tom checking you out is NOT COOL! THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY OVERATED AND NOT A PLACE I INTEND ON STAYING FOR ANOTHER YEAR. If you like cigarette buds and trash all over your breeze way, "salt" still left on the stairs when we haven't had a snow day in several weeks, or Management that is oblivious to the fact that people who work before the office is open or get home AFTER the OFFICE is closed, and don't want to stop off @ a mailbox to drop off a card, (GET A CLUE AND BUY A BIGGER MAIL BOX SYSTEM!) or the fact that promoting a FITNESS room wit 3 pieces of equipment, and really cutting it...

I will give an A to the Maintenace Team..always prompt and on top of things...

Someone commented on the beauty of the landscaping..I will agree, however, only when they remove the debris, rake the leaves, and cut the hedges...which as time passes by, spaced out later and later...Oh and the spiders and webs of more spiders left on the stairs or found in your apartment! BEWARE!

I do think that the other leasing agents left for a reason, so think about it: Is this place REALLY somewhere you wat to be?

going downhill
This place is going downhill, for one, the manager is a big ole you know what. she is like one of those teachers you had when you were a kid that you couldnt stand to even look at. when you go there, you will know who she is, she looks at like she is better than you. also, the leasing agents are all gone!! where they went is obviously a better place. i talked to Sarah quite often and she was such a nice person, and new everyone, and just always smiling. now shes gone and i dont know how they are going to lease any apartments with that manager. i think the assistant is a hard worker, she doesn't say much, but i think she just misses the leasing agent now. i think another leasing agent left also. i cant say i blame them, Hunters Chase is not focused on the residents at all. They are focused on making the propery manager, who my husband has never even seen in there and i have only seen her a couple of times, making her look like a queen. maintenance and landscaping are beautiful. there has been a peeping tom, a suicide, and i have heard of a few break ins, going downnnnhilll.

"That's Bull" & "Terrible Staff"-Question, please
If you are so unhappy, have you tried to talk to anyone about your "problems" All you say is that they "nab" you and "don't care" What is it that you want them to do? Welcome to Adulthood, where you DO have to work and you DO have to SAY what your damn problem is. Not only to the people who run the office but faculty members, co-workers, sales clerk at the register where you buy your groceries, family members, friends, or the telemarketer that got your cell #. Matter of fact, is it possible that you are actually the same person that posted both of these messages? I have been here for several years and have enjoyed my time here. Here's a tip...it's an apartment, not your mom's house. It's a gorgeous property, the "terrible staff" is pretty much always available and I have seen them out there picking up trash around the complex, talking to everyone and I have witnessed 1st hand how they DO help the tenants. Perhaps, you might want to CALL them to let them know your obvious "problems" and I think even a cynic like you might be able to see how "IT'S NOT BULL" and the "GREAT STAFF" that is right there in front of you.

whats wrong with these people
Ok, I know for a fact that the girls in the office do NOT even get commission. One of them happens to be my close friend. I have never heard anyone say such mean things about this place, but I love it here. And I love the office staff. Maybe whoever has a problem needs to take their complaints elsewhere because no one wants to live near someone who isn't happy, it sets off a bad vibe

terrible staff
it is phony here. once you come move in- they get their commission and then they treat ya wrong. its just not right to suck up in the beginning and then nab you. I hate it here and I cant wait to break my lease. Hope that the one that helped me gets canned soon.

better think twice before you sign the papers here!

Great Apartments
Hunter's Chase is an excellent, beautiful community that I enjoy calling home. I have no complaints whatsoever. Maintenance requests are taken care of very quickly. The grounds are very clean and the landscaping is beautiful-something to sit on your balcony and enjoy, especially in the spring. The office staff is great and really makes residents feel at home. The property manager went well above and beyond to help me get into this community. She went to bat for me. Kudos to her. I highly recommend this community.

Im so-so
Im in between. I think it is a nice property. I agree that "thats Bull" probably had a bad experience, but I think that it has some truth to it. The office staff is a little deceiving. But not anything that any other property doesnt go through. I think that these reviews are shady to begin with. How do you know what is true and what isn't?

Fabulous
I love everything about this place! From the minute I drive in I feel like I am home. I am disappointed that some of the reviews about Hunters Chase are bad but everyone is entitled to their opinion but my experiences here have always been good. I know that there are things that are beyond anyones control but the staff always make the time to talk, answer questions, or just say "hi!". I highly recommend Hunters Chase!

I think that this place is full of it. I lived here only for a few months because I realized how phony the front office was. They pretend like you are so great when you are looking and then they nab you and treat ya like nothin once you live here.
Think twice before you fill out the application!

Great Place!
Hunter's Chase is a great place to live! The office and maintenance staff go out of their way to get to know you. Maintenance complaints are addressed THAT day! The office staff is always so friendly and make dropping of the rent a pleasure. The apartments are in great condition and the landscape is kept clean and beautiful. The pool is always clean and a great place to lay out during the summer months. I could go on and on about all the positives here. I have no hesitations about renewing my lease when it's up this spring! I have even talked other friends into leaving their less than wonderful apartment communities in Greensboro to come to Hunter's Chase...without much convincing!

I love it
I have no complaints about living at Hunters Chase. The staff is great. All work orders are addressed within 24 hours. The place is very quite. Not a lot of kids running around since the place is only 1 & 2 bedrooms. The pool & gyn are rather small. Great community to live in.

Great place!
I would wholeheartedly recommend Hunter´s Chase apartments. I have lived here during the 2003-2004 year. All of my maintenance requests were addressed extremely quickly. The staff is very friendly and although the fitness center is not large, it is seldom crowded. I think the value is pretty good for the quality of the apartments. Great place to live!

Good place to live
The staff are very helpful and the apartments are a good size. There are many perks like free pizza by the pool during the summer, use of a hot tub, and a movie library. The only complaint is that tenants have become very bad during the winter months with not picking up after their pets and the grounds have become a mess, as you can imagine. The staff are aware but have not been enforcing fines. The summer months don´t seem to be as bad.

Hunters Chase is a wonderful place to live. It lies in a wooded area yet is close to everything in Greensboro. The staff at Hunters Chase always does their very best to make you feel at home and take care of any needs that you may have. I have never lived in any other apartment that has made me feel so much at home. I highly recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for a friendly and quiet place to live.
