Certainly overpriced. Extremely loud, apparently college kids can somehow afford to live out here (trust fund babies perhaps). The location is good, but the apartment complex itself is quite average. The only thing "luxury" is the price.

I have lived here for almost a year and when I moved in I didnt know anyone in the area. The apartment complex is AMAZING!! I love to death the office staff and even the maintanence guys....they always say hey when i walk my little doggy on property and for the few requests i have had they always respond promptly and the work is completed nicely. But back to the community...they host SO many resident functions from free message night to court yard wine and dines its helped me to me so many new friends... I go to the office almost every day and everyone there always seems so nice and welcoming...the two ladies and two gents are just so helpful and really make me feel at home here....I could go on and on and on but if your in doubt about where to live know that as someone who nevers writes reviews on anything...this place is the place to be. i hope to be here for many more years to come!! l

The location here cannot be beat. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. There is a good sense of community. The staff is fantastic. The apartment itself is pretty spacious for a 1 bedroom and doesn't feel too cramped. Overall, I'm very happy here.

Overpriced dorm. Age limit is meaningless apparently when mommy and daddy probably footing the bill. No one here has any pride regarding the grounds or the buildings. Trash and beer bottles everywhere. Thin walls. You can here people at all hours of the night in the hallways. You could record albums out there.. the acoustics are ridiculous. My apartment overall hasn't been much of a bother, but did have issues with wiring of the stove when moved in and most of the doors don't fit exactly right so locking has been an issue... Management changes constantly. I regret renewing lease but it was so much of a pain moving furniture into this place, didn't want to leave after just a year.. Would've been nice to know there would be constant construction outside my windows everyday too (including weekend).

I wouldn't trust any of the reviews for this complex on this site, the complex offers rewards to the current residents to come here and write reviews.

The staff was rude and literally said that safety was none of their concern. The apartments themselves are built like ----, warped floors and cabinets, washer dryer doesn't fit, there is no pantry, very poorly designed layout, overall this was an awful experience and I will never speak highly of this apartment and have told and will continue to tell everyone I know who terrible this community is as a whole.

927 West Morgan has not been the experience i had hoped. This community was opened in 2013. The first thing i noticed when I moved in is how thin the walls were. I can here just about everything that goes on to the side, above and below. The dog park has gotten worse since I moved in June of 2014. The trash cans are not emptied daily as they need to be. I was told that i could not bring my own washer and dryer to the apartment because the apartment building did not have any where to store the provided washer and dryer. I contacted maintenance because the dryer stopped working. While the maintenance worker was working he discovered a fire hazard with the dryer. The vent on the inside of the dryer was not connected and the lint was piling up on the heating element. I wonder how many more are like that. Now I have cabinet issues. The screws are littler coming out of the cabinet door hinge. I now have one door that is completely off the hinge. I have pets and clean up after them every day. There are residents that do not pick up after their pets and some that do not keep on a leash.

Located just one-convenient block from the Raleigh Central Prison, 927 West Morgan is surely a place to 'live life to the nines', that is, a nine on a one-hundred point scale. Falsely marketed as luxury urban apartments, living here is anything but luxury or 'living life to the nines'. In just over a year of living here, I am disgusted with the building, management, and maintenance of this community. There are many complex issues leading to the dysfunction of this apartment community, however, the ever-revolving tenure of property managers are often ineffective and overwhelmed with the task of ensuring that the basic needs of the community (in terms of administration, function, and cleanliness) to be a priority. The constant shift in personnel makes it difficult to see true progress to transform the place into true luxury apartments. Further, the management does not strive for excellence or anticipate potential problems in order to effectively serve and maintain the community. I make note of this first in my review, as it is essential to understand that the residents of this 'full-service' community are reliant on the management and maintenance staff to address and appropriately manage all of the problems this building experiences. As other reviews have noted, this community was extremely poorly planned and constructed. This has resulted in an exponential amount of structural and engineering hazards that effect the residents daily. What is frustrating is that the management constructs this 'damage-control facade', stating that 927 West Morgan is new structure, so there may be a few "minor" issues, as most buildings experience. This, however, is not the case. The issues with this structure are constant in that a permanent solution is never put in place, as are the vast majority of issues not addressed properly. Some of the most critical and on-going concerns are: 01 Alarms: As noted in other reviews, the fire alarms sound excessively and at all hours of the day and night, and frequently at multiple times in a single day. This is irritating as the issue has yet to be truly fixed; management blames 'cold weather' or 'new construction kinks'. It is important to note that this is also partially due to 927 being a mixed-use structure, so if a commercial-space fire alarm sounds, all of the residential alarms sound as well (an example of the asinine planning and construction of the building). It is most alarming because residents have started to ignore the fire alerts as there are so many false alarms--this is a huge safety concern. 02 Grounds: Poorly maintained grounds; both interior and exterior. The outdoor common grounds are routinely covered in a mixture of fresh and decaying fecal matter, as well as college-student type litter such as (broken) beer bottles, cigarette butts, condom wrappers, and other unidentifiable waste. Further, the 'dog park' (or fenced rectangle of mushy filth and wood chips), is littered with a large amount animal fecal matter. This is largely due to the fact that the pet waste stations are routinely full of collected waste, and that pet waste bags are not often refilled. Coupled with a young, college-type student resident demographic who are not accustomed to the responsibility of pet owners to supply and use waste bags, this is just a unsanitary disaster. I have written many notes and spoke directly to the management no less than ten times (this is not an exaggeration), and it is not rectified. The Interior common areas, halls, and a courtyard are not well maintained. Routinely, these are just a sampling of problems: scuff marks all over hallway / common area walls; dirty carpeting; filthy / smelly elevators with lots of debris that aren't cleaned very often, cigarette ash, oil stains, etc.; dirty restrooms in the fitness rooms and common areas; leaking water from the ceilings leading to extensive mold problems, walls, fixtures, etc. 03 Quality of Living Spaces: The apartment interiors are ridiculously cheap, have terrible appliances (who cares that the appliances are new if they don't work?) and are just poorly designed. For example, the stacked washer/dryer has been replaced or serviced at least four times; the dishwasher doesn't work very well in terms of cleaning power; the handles on the refrigerator consistently fall off even when parts are replaced, etc. For example, I can not open my closet door when my bedroom door is open; the doors overlap by about a half inch. Also, the baseboard molding is cheap MDF and looks terrible. All of the bathroom and kitchen cabinets have cosmetic blemishes. All doors are hollow, and have only one coat of primer. HVAC / Ventilation-- some apartments, like my 1bedroom, does not have a air-return, so how does air circulate the space? It doesn't; condensation and stagnant air abounds. The list goes on... What's positive about 927 West Morgan? Good location to access both NCSU and downtown. That's it.

I have lived in a few other apartments over the last 5 years in the RTP area. While this is not the worst building I've seen, it's not the best either, and it's definitely not worth the money. I don't think that management should've offered gift cards to residents who provided a favorable review of the complex (in September 2014). I think that was inappropriate and misleading, so here's my (non-incentivized) review. The building interiors are cheap--in addition to the scratches on cabinets, paint on carpeting, and basically non-functioning balcony door, I've also noticed the carpet is not actually installed properly, and comes up when vacuumed. These are just minor issues, and ones I can live with, my real issues have been with the overall management of the property and the many disrespectful tenants. One issue is the "valet" trash service--basically everyone puts their trash cans outside their door every night (even though pick up is not every night, most people don't seem to care), and they roll a dumpster down the hall and collect everyone's trash. This is because in building the complex, they didn't plan for an actual dumpster...like all other apartment buildings that house multiple units. So there's always trash-filled or empty trash cans in the halls. The recycling area (a large bank of recycling containers) inside the garage is always overflowing, and people generally throw anything in them. There's usually broken beer bottles in the garage, parking areas, and in the hallways, and it's infuriating how disrespectful a lot of the tenants are. Parking areas are always crowded and spaces are annoyingly narrow. Lots of non-tenants fill up the pool/courtyard space on the weekends, and while I don't mind guests, often they don't seem to actually know or be visiting anyone in the building. Tenants and guests often prop open doors, with total disregard for security/safety of the building. When we first moved in, we had to submit some maintenance requests multiple times and had to call the office to see if/when they were going to be addressed. Management staff never seemed to actually know what had been taken care of or when unanswered requests would be fulfilled. More recently, things seem to be better, and when our fridge broke, it was replaced with a new one the next day. I definitely wouldn't recommend this building to anyone who is looking for a clean, respectful, "luxury" community. It's really just a college dorm with a much higher rent.

While the new manager is awesome and very proactive, the building is not well built (thin walls, crooked floors, poor layout design) and the younger tenants are disrespectful of the property. Location is great (besides the current construction) easy to get downtown, Glenwood south, and Cameron Village.

Great place to live, close to downtown, and nice amenities such as a salt water pool. Bus line across the street that takes you to downtown or Crabtree mall. Friendly office staff who are prompt when responding to e-mails. Free yoga class each week as well as zumba.

While my maintenance experience has left something to be desired, I love the community as a whole. The office handles my concerns quickly, my apartment is beautiful, and the activities and amenities offered, like the wrapping station and the food trucks, are really great. I love the convenience of living here.

Great apartment - clean, spacious, good value for money considering the location. Very noisy on Thurs-Sat evenings due to City Limits Saloon having an outside space and car park adjacent to the block. This might not affect block #1, or the back on block #2. In general, happy with the community and the block.

I moved to Raleigh a few months ago and chose 927 West Morgan because of its affordable price, convenient location, and awesome amenities. I have been extremely happy with 927 for all of these reasons and more. You really can't beat this price for how close it is to downtown, no more than a $5 cab ride! The pool and courtyard area is probably my favorite feature of 927. There are multiple grills for the residents to use and a very spacious pool area that never seems to get too crowded. The staff is extremely friendly and has planned a lot of social events for the complex, such as yoga sessions every Tuesday and food trucks every Thursday. I have never lived in an apartment complex before so I was kind of worried about the level of noise you would hear from the hallways or from your neighbors but this hasn't been a problem at all. Overall, I have no complaints with living at 927. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in moving into a complex with a fun, friendly and young atmosphere! -Janelle Vecin, Apt. 401

Love it here! Brand new apartments so it's super clean. The amenities are fantastic-from the grills by the pool, to the fitness center, dog park, and safety of parking in the garage-can't be beat. The location is key as you are only 1 mile from downtown, as well as Cameron Village. I love how the staff is always trying to plan socials, food trucks, and other events so that you have an opportunity to meet new people. We've been here now for 7 months and are so glad we decided upon 927! ~David F. and Amanda

I moved into the building a few months ago, and overall I love living here! Both the exterior and interior of the buildings and my apartment looks great! The building is only a few years old, so my apartment is in very nice condition. One of my favorite things about 927 West Morgan are all of the amenities available for resident use and all these communal facilities are kept up nicely too! I have only had one minor maintenance issue thus far (a drawer off the tracks in the kitchen) and maintenance responded to the request in just a few days. I always had trouble with getting maintenance requests serviced at my old apartment, so I was pleased that maintenance took care of the issue in a timely fashion! The experience made me feel confident that any problems going forward will be taken care of quickly. The building staff puts forth a lot of effort into organizing events and activities for residents. They have just sponsored a yoga class for the community and get food trucks to come by about once a week. The only drawback I have experience thus far is occasional noise. I am in a corner unit facing the parking lot, and a new restaurant that is attached to the building is being built. There has been some construction noise from the restaurant at odd, inconvenient hours (7 am, 8 pm). Being in a corner unit, the balcony of the apartment one floor up around the corner is very close to my bedroom window. I'm not sure how many tenants live there, but they have been loud on weeknight evenings pretty late when I'm trying to sleep (up until 11 pm at times) on several occasions. They're conversations and music are clear as day, almost as if they are in my room. I've been disturbed more often by the (what seems to be) partying from the unit upstairs around the corner than the construction. However, I don't know how anyone would avoid such a situation since you never know who your neighbors will be. Overall, the occasional noise issues pale in respect to all of the things I enjoy about 927 West Morgan. Caitlin #224

I'm new to the Raleigh area and moved in to 927 W Morgan a few months ago. I love how close these apartments are to downtown, Cameron Village, and the Glenwood area. I love the look of the apartments, inside and out, and the amenities. Our apartment faces the parking lot and is right above the restaurant that is being built, so there is a good amount of noise between people coming in, the door buzzer, and construction. However, I really like these apartments and the location is great. Morgan M - 927 #224

I moved in to the 2nd building (910 Tryon) back in April as I was very unhappy where I previously lived. I love my apartment and so does my cat. The move in special was nice too! I love being so close to downtown and Cameron Village. There's also a bus line right across the street from IHOP so that comes in handy when you want to save gas. I haven't had any problems with parking so far, but I think that we should have a sticker in our window or something to show that we are residents. How do we know someone is a non-resident? In the beginning I found the staff (on my move-in day) to not really know what they were doing when telling me where the best place was to move in, etc. but I'm pleased with the people working in there now. They are prompt when responding to my e-mails and when I had issues with a leak in my living room ceiling, they were able to get everything resolved. It might not have been as fast as I would've liked, but nonetheless problem was solved. I'm glad I moved into this apartment complex and the amenities are a plus. My friends are jealous when they come to visit! -Apt 423

A great location and value. They clearly cut some corners on construction, but the repair and maintenance is good. For us noise is the biggest issue, late nights Friday and Saturday with no enforcement of quiet hours.

927 West Morgan is a hidden gem just outside of downtown Raleigh. There are no other apartments as close to downtown for this price with all the amenities. The inside facilities including the apartment, the game, computer and movie room are all equipped with modern appliances and energy efficient lighting. The outdoor pool, sitting and lawn space are nicely decorated, clean and a great space to hang out with friends or just hang out and read a book. There is often music via speakers during the day. There are three propane grills and one charcoal grill which are available for residents at any time. But if you're not a pool person, there is a balcony attached to every apartment so you can enjoy the outdoors in the comfort of your own space. 927 is perfectly located between NC State and Downtown. It's an easy walk to the bars and restaurants on Hillsborough Street, Cameron Village, Pullen Park, Trophy, Boylan Brewpub or Glenwood South. And there is gated parking below the apartment to keep your vehicle safe and out of the elements. 927 also has two gyms, one TRX and cycling studio and the other a cardio gym. And word on the street is there is a restaurant and bar moving into the front window space of the Morgan street building! While all the above is amazing, I would change a few things about the apartment. For starters, there is no ceiling fan in the bedroom. Another, the noise from above neighbors can be a little loud. A large breed dog and family live above me often making enough noise I can hear it over the TV. Otherwise, this is a great property and I would recommend this apartment anyone looking to live in a new apartment community in close proximity to a lot of fun things!

My roommate and I absolutely LOVE our apartment at 927 West Morgan. We looked around for over a month trying to find the perfect place to live and ran across our current apartment. They had a great deal running and we couldn't turn it down (especially for what we had seen on market). The amenities are absolutely amazing (2 gyms, covered garage, community bbq grills, 2 pools valet trash service, etc. . . the list is endless)! The online resident portal is awesome too. It allows you to meet neighbors in 927 community, pay rent, send in repair requests, etc. We've only needed 2 repairs so far but the repair men were so nice and were at our apartment within 24 hours to fix the problems. No phone calls or having to hassle with the front desk (which they are great by the way), all we had to do was type up a simple request on the resident portal and submit it. The community is also really nice because you have to be 22+ years old to rent an apartment here. So with that being said, most individuals are young professionals or in graduate school and are very respectful. We honestly couldn't be happier with our choice to live here and would highly recommend living here to anyone! - Savannah #2-511

I have been happy living here since i moved in around december of last year but there has been some things happening over the last month or so that have pissed me off!! Residents here have been leaving notes on my car, which i reported to the front office and they did nothing. Then it happened again and i reported to the front office and the did nothing again. To there credit they have hired a lot of new staff since i reported the first incident but still i think they should have done something. The third time some coward wrote on my window with a marker and i was furious and went to the front office again and they finally emailed the complex that vandalism was against the law and will be taken serious which i thank them for finally. I just don't understand how a luxury apartment does not have cameras in the garage. I even offered to buy them cameras to put in there and they pretty much told me to talk to the corporate office, which had me thinking they were behind it, i'm not going to beg them to take a free camera system, which i offered after the second and third message on my car. Now i'm paranoid and bought security cams to protect my own car, never felt like this before anywhere i lived, and i have lived in better places. I still like the place and not saying that this is a bad place to live but if you have an expensive car like mine i would have security cams keeping an eye on it, because there are some cowards in the building who make it bad for everyone and got me looking at everybody funny. I really feel like residents here should have a sticker in there car if they live here and should be able to purchase there own parking spots like all other luxury apartments i have stayed in and they should awesome have a towing company on hand that tows people who park here that do not live here, i guess i should be the manager here since they have no clue how to keep people in order here, thats a damn shame that i know more than they do. If they need some consulting advice contact me, they now exactly who i am too. I would only recommend this place to a friend when they make those changes. I'm not tying to hate on them but they need to make some changes here as much money as they charge, its not a luxury place to me when you have cowards running around doing what they want. I wish i catch someone on cam messing with my car, i'm going to take them to court and i might even slap fire from there face when i see them. We'll just have to see Apt 554

So far I have been satisfied with my apartment. The move in process was a bit tough because there was no service elevator and the office staff was not over helpful. Getting some of the bigger furniture into the apartment was not easy. Since moving in I have been very happy though.
