Love it here . Great people and great staff. This location makes it very easy to get around Raleigh and surrounding communities. There’s a very wide variety of activities and places to go see. I would highly recommend living here.

I have enjoyed living in this community going on 6 years. As with any rental property, there are pros and cons that everyone needs to consider when looking for a place to live. At this point in time, the pros outweigh the cons of living at this Overture. People are friendly, the location is perfect and the friends I have made are wonderful.

I am very contented living at overture Centennial. I plan to stay here until I die, as long as the rents don't continue rising as much as they have been in the last two years. That is my only concern. I am on a fixed income which does not increase yearly as much as my rent seems to be increasing. Other than that, I very much appreciate the quality of the staff and their desire to make living here pleasant for all of their residents. They are all open to listening to anyone who has a concern and they attempt to help whenever a request is made. Plus, they join in with our activities and seem to have fun doing so!

I have lived here since they opened. I would have to say that I’m pleased living here. Things have changed a lot since I first moved here. But under Star’s leadership as our manager they’re getting much better. Maintenance is great here. Greg and Shawn are so attentive to every maintenance problem that we have. I hope to stay here a long time.

Trouble getting key in the lock of apt door. I placed a request for service approximately 8/9 am THIS MORNING when I left for an appt. When I arrived back about an 1-1.5 hr or so, lock was fixed!! Thank you for your prompt, perfect service!!! Kathy Knodle 118

I have had a wonderful experience at Overture Centennial. The leadership team led by Star is very focused on providing great resident experience. The maintenance staff, Greg and Shawn are extremely capable and very professional.

In the two weeks I have been a resident, I have found the staff and residents to be very friendly. I have enjoyed the classes that are available to me. The first question, I cannot answer as I have not lived in an apartment for 53 years. I cannot answer the question about neighborhoods and schools as this does not apply to me. There should be a NA for the questions.

In our almost 2 years here we have had no issues or problems other than a small issue with the dryer that was solved in 4 has been very quiet here and the staff from the house keeping maintenance and management have always been professional and living in a house for 42 years there was a lot of anxiety about moving into an apartment but can only speak about here this has been an excellent choice.

It has been an overall excellent experience. The only negatives are the lack of soundproofing from upstairs and the staggering rent increases attempted in the past and at present. Also, a 70-page-plus lease is rather daunting, taking away must legal rights of a tenant.

I like living here. It has a great sense of community. At 75 that's important. I need people to watch out for me. I gladly, watch out for others. OC is in a great location for all that Raleigh has to offer. I am 7 minutes from family and 7 minutes from work (yes I still work).

We have lived here since the beginning of Centennial. We have seen three management changes. We have seen both good and bad things happen. We have seen many come and go. Probably all to be expected. We have seen the fire warning system fail many times. Residents are not taking it seriously. anymore. There might come a time when it is real. People will die because they will think it is just another failure of the system. Management need to address this issue and get the system fixed or replaced and put faith back in residents so they believe an alarm. I say this as a retired 15 year member of the St James Fire department in Southport NC

Great location near parks, downtown Raleigh, NC State University. Lots of activities here in the community with active adults. Fitness classes. Close to theatre and concert venues, museums, restaurants. Great walking areas

All is OK! Everything seems to fall in place when a need arises. Everybody here seems to be very friendly & maintenance cares about what happens @ your apartment. Staff keeps us informed about daily problems if they exist.

The community is nice, residents and staff alike are very helpful. I live across from the fitness center, which is nicely maintained and cleaned and residents are courteous about cleaning up after themselves. The outdoor area and the pool are also well maintained and well used areas of the community. Those are all my favorite areas, including my apartment. And I have to say, my dog loves living here, too!

I really am happy here. I have many friends and love to play games of all kinds, learn new games, watch movies with friends and neighbors, and genuinely love being here. The staff is good and I care about each one. Overall, for me??? It’s the best place for me. One day I may have to move to a different place because of age or disability, but for now , this is my home!!

The community of people at Overture is welcoming, the staff work really hard to create events and activities to keep us engaged, there are opportunities to learn about Raleigh, and the location can't be beat!

Run the other way!

A lovely decor and grounds . But it stops there- Overture is owned by Greystar, an industry thug. Check out their ratings at BBB, and check out law suits against them by the FTC and DOJ. The $540 application fee- twice the industry average- gives you an idea of the problem. Ask about their after hours lockout policy; they will tell you they are mainstream. It is NOT mainstream to have tenants call locksmiths, this is the only company of 6 I interviewed that do this. All of us want to be treated respectfully and kindly when we age. It won’t happen here.

Overall a good community. It’s reasonable safe but general maintenance is not good. Door locks don’t work and it takes forever to get them repaired. Hallway heaters run 24/7 in 50degree weather, wasting energy. Lights in empty apartments are on forever. Management together with maintenance maybe supported by a person living here should inspect the common areas at least twice a month. It has gone down since we moved in.

Lots of rumors and innuendos are heard among many residents. While i don’t normaly have a problem, some people do. There is lots of gossip about each other that i personally find distasteful and brings down the ratings of the community. I have many medical appointments and such with a medical condition but i often can’t find parking close enough to support my needs. This may be a deal breaker fire me in signing s new lease next year.

Cleanliness and attention to detail is an important consideration for me. They are over and above my expectations. Staff is very professional and maintenance is prompt. Residents are friendly. Safety is an important factor and I, personally, feel very secure. Overall love this place and have no plans on leaving
