The Overture Centennial is the best decision that I’ve made at this point in my life. The community is beautiful and nestled around trees and beautiful landscapes. I love that there isn’t a lot of traffic and very quiet at night. The residents are very active and friendly. So happy to call this my home.

If you are 55+ and looking for a "Premier Active Adult Community", I cannot recommend any place greater than Overture Centennial. I am coming up on my third year here. Excellent staff, amenities, and activities, make it home for me.

Overall acceptable but management needs improvement in communicating effectively and politely with tenants. Alarm and safety training is non-existent. Door communications system is allegedly working but very few know how to use it. I

Being on the younger end, we had never considered a 55+ community before. We are glad we did. It just seemed to be a much better value than any of the comparably priced properties we reviewed, especially once the community events were factored in.

Catrina and her staff have made excellent improvements in the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds compared to the former staff. My apartment is located alongside the pool. It would be appreciated if residents would be reminded that loud talking is disturbing to those whose apartments face the pool. They may be unaware that the sound funnels up due to the area being completely surrounded by walls.

Calm, peaceful atmosphere. People are friendly not pushy or nosey. Staff is very helpful. Floor plan for us is great- bathroom readily close for my husband. Easy too keep clean. First time we had a dishwasher!! A learning experience for us!!

In the past two of the tenants who lived above me were Extremely Loud after midnight to the point where I was thinking about moving now whoever is up there makes noise but it's at a reasonable hour the last two tenants were horrible and made noise all day and night.

I've only been here a couple of weeks but so far I love it! All of the onsite staffers are great, friendly, kind, warm and quick to respond to any question or concern. Jane, Desi, Cat, Erika, Greg and the whole crew onsite work hard, do a fantastic job, and make residents feel cared for and appreciated. I feel safe and comfortable and happy here. The amenities are fantastic-- love the coffee machine and the gym especially! I do wish the pool was a regular-sized pool but I cannot complain.This building is gorgeous and everything is maintained to perfection. The location is ideal too with lovely parks across the street. Another positive of living here is that there are always so many events and activities taking place in our building. I have enjoyed getting to know other residents with so many wonderful opportunities to interact with one another. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and beautiful place to live, make friends, and be active. And what makes it even more fantastic is the wonderful and caring staff.

The main attraction for me is the location. We are next to Dix Park, Pullen Park, NCSU campuses- main and Centennial, Farmers Market, and downtown Raleigh. In addition, the walking trails through NCSU’s Centennial and Main Campus, as well as along Western Boulevard. If you enjoy walking or cycling, this is an excellent place to live.

I've lived here at Overture for more than a year now, and highly recommend Overture to others. I have thoroughly enjoyed living here and making friends with wonderful people. The staff has been very good and helpful. Enjoy. Residents set out garbage at off times so the hall stinks and smell in carpet from dog poo is difficult to get rid of. I think smell has permeated the carpet so hard to handle. It's stairs 4 I think. 3rd floor Rating below based on smells only

Enjoy living in this community very much. I can socialize as much or as little as I desire, folks are all friendly, helpful and up beat. I can walk to church and shopping without a car, the ready access to both Dix and Pullen Parks make for the perfect walking areas.

The maintenance staff came immediately after notified air conditioner not working. Repair completed in less than one hour. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, polite, efficient. No tools were required.

Community has been in transition for last 6 months. Maintenance was poor until Greg came here . Temporary Managers were trying to put thumbs in a ----. Mix and Mingles were poor quality and no speakers except on death. I never attend breakfast because I was not sure who was handling food. Smoking in front of Bldg until last week. Dementia runs rampant here. Sad for us who enjoy a happy life. Not a 55+ community it is a 70+. The ambulance or fire trucks out in front every week. Very sad for those of us who look for happiness.

New supervisor is great. He handled my air conditioning problem very quickly and effectively. Air conditioning was running hot at night, put in a request the next morning and he came quickly. The capacitor needed to be replaced. It took awhile to cool down but has worked well since.

People here with dog think they can take the dogs in areas where they shouldn’t be and do their business anywhere they want and don’t clean up behind them. Residents walk and let dogs sit in common areas when they are talking or doing a puzzle

Very disappointed living here. At first I thought it was great. Since then, property manager has left and things are falling apart. Hardly any events. Both service supervisor ------- ------ and maintenance assistant ---- ----- have asked for sexual favors. When reported to ---- ------, was told a regional manager would be calling me. NEVER happened. I wrote a letter to put in my lease file. Hallways smell, a lot of people sick, paying for common area utilities but 3rd floor hallway has no air conditioning. Extremely hot in this 85-90 degree weather. NOT an active adult community as described, nothing like my last community. Looking to live elsewhere. Greystar has properties all over US but this one is going downhill.

My apartment is certainly not what it was described to be. “New, top notch, stainless appliances “. I think most are stainless but that’s about it. They are cheap, noisy junk. Even one of your maintenance guys said that. The microwave sounds like it is grinding walnuts. I sent a repair in on the garbage disposal. Even after removing plastic, glass and rubber pieces it was still very noisy. The maintenance guy cycled a load of ice cubes through it and said it is fixed. It is not and if the remaining debris is not removed it will break. When I moved in there was no cold water in the mbr sink. Both water lines had been plumbed to the hot water. The drain in the other bath sink does not work. Maintenance said it needs a part. I will mention the complex’s trash problems later.
