Never rent here. They said problems would be fixed when we moved in. Got there and nothing was fixed. We call them daily, send emails and pictures yet nobody ever gets back to us. And if and when maintenance does come they do a ------ job and leave it unfinished, promise to come back and finish but never do. We have a baby here and there is mold in the basement but nothing is getting fixed. Had to get a lawyer involved. Seriously awful place. P.s. Parking is awful and you can hear neighbors all night. Called manager to complain and never did anything

This place is a joke. Management is absolutely terrible. There are new people in the office constantly, they can't keep a staff there, probably because they treat them as bad as the residents. Every single time it reasons, we get water in our basement. Corporate won't fix it, they've tried "fixing" it at least 5 times & move of it worked. Clearly whatever will fix it costs too much money. They expect us to accept it because the basement is supposed to be "unliveable" space, but that's where the washer & dryer is. Who wants to walk through water to do laundry? Work orders take forever to get completed & when you call to ask about them, no one knows when they'll be done. Last manager seemed to be trying to do good, but he's gone now & there's ANOTHER new manager. Rent increases every year, yet no updates to the townhomes. Old appliances, crappy countertops, dated cabinets, and yet rent increases again & again. Vehicles & garages broken into over & over, streets are in terrible repair, baby pool has not been open in 3 years because it's been broken. This place is terrible & can't wait to leave when the lease is up.

I'll start off by saying that I would not recommend this property. We were shown a two bedroom unit that was nice, clean, and met most of the criteria that we were looking for. After thinking it over and looking at other comparable properties, my wife and I (who were moving from out of town) made the choice to go with Country Estates. We called back the next day, and were informed that the unit we had toured had been rented out. No big deal, we thought. We ended up with a three bedroom unit instead, assuming that it would be in comparable condition. Needless to say it was not. Looking back, it should have been a red flag that we were told that we were absolutely not able to view the unit before moving in- despite being required to put down a deposit to secure it. Again, hindsight being what it is we should have pressed more but were relatively impressed by the unit that we did see so did not think much of it. Upon getting our keys and rolling up with the moving truck, we found ourselves entering a unit that had clearly not been cleaned. There were bags of trash left on the front porch, numerous paint and other stains and marks on the carpet (some as big as my size 13 foot), and it was very apparent that the previous owner was a smoker. Additionally there were a couple of rooms that reeked of pet odor (cat urine). This is not to mention we were moving in only after being strung along on the actual date due to them having to get in and 'see how much work would need to be done to prepare the unit for us'. Unfortunately it was very evident that not much was done at all. In addition to the blatantly obvious stains and smells, there were light switches and outlets without faceplates on them and a host of very basic maintenance-related items that had been left unfinished or not done at all. However the worst part was the indifference of the management when these concerns were brought to their attention. Long story short, we ended up having to escalate our concerns to the corporate office in Colorado before we were able to get a response and any kind or action. The best advice that was given to us by local management was to 'open up the windows and get some air fresheners'. The process of having these basic maintenance requests tended to was cumbersome at best, and infuriating at times. Often we would go weeks without any response or follow-up- and this continued throughout our tenure at Country Estates. I could continue further, but I think you get the point so I'll begin to wrap up. I couldn't wait to get out of our lease and move along. In true Country Estates fashion, they tried to charge us a carpet cleaning fee when we moved out for the carpet that was 10+ years old and on its last leg 5 years ago. It was standard they said. I talked them down in the amount reminding them of the terrible condition that it was in when we moved in (along with the photographic proof). Despite getting written verification of what the exact return on our deposit would be, they sent me the check for less. It took about 4 months of persistent calls to finally get the full amount. I really don't blame the maintenance debacles solely on the maintenance crew, it truly is a property that is mismanaged from the top-down. In my year and a half there, there were three different property managers- each of them unwilling or incapable of any semblance of customer service or common sense. This could very well be different now, but there is absolutely no way in good faith that I could recommend Country Estates to anyone.

My review of Country Estate Townhomes- BEWARE, SAVE YOUR MONEY, SANITY AND TIME. Pros: spacious with 3 floors, garage and location (kind of) price... kind of (I am going back to an updated newer apartment community for less than this and MUCH NICER) Cons: location- around a lot of section 8 properties, car has been broken into multiple times, break-ins, cops all over the place, management is so rude and horrendous, and maintenance issues galore (FLOODED BASEMENTS, BROKEN AC). Utilities- for a 2bed townhome for OPPD (electricity- when my AC is working) I pay between $150-200 MUD (gas) I pay between $50-130 plus you pay for water, sewer and trash ON TOP of your rent which you include in your rent check so $25-35 more. Management/Office staff - TERRIBLE. All of the office staff from the property manager (------), assistant and leasing agent are absolutely rude, inconsistent and just plain awful. You call- no answer yet you go in the office and see them on their personal cell phones as the phone is ringing, you leave voicemails- no return calls, emails- nothing. Now lets say you actually get them on the phone and they don't like what you have to say you will conveniently be disconnected AKA hung up on! I actually had the property manager YELLING at me on the phone. Between interrupting me, calling me a liar, yelling at me and then hanging up on me... just horrible. Communication sucks throughout. When you do go and actually talk to them in person they make you feel "rushed", they roll their eyes if you bring up problems, constantly challenge what you have to say and call you a liar ("I don't believe that for a second, sounds a little stretched", "are you sure?", etc). The property manager will be doing whatever on his computer or writing on paperwork not related to why your there so essentially he is ignoring you and being plain rude. I have never been so disrespected in my life especially from someone that calls himself the "property manager". The leasing and assistant are no help, they just pass you on to him. Maintenance- well... what can I say. I once went without AC for almost 2 weeks with a flooded basement and when I called I was told that my AC was not a "priority" because of the flooded basements- well I got snappy and said its almost 90 degrees in my house and my basement is also flooded, so come fix the damn thing! It took me calling up to corporate to have someone out. The property has like 200+ units (give or take?) and last time I checked a couple weeks back ONE maintenance guy. They started off with like 3 or 4 that supposedly specialized in different areas but... well I cant say too much because all I know is it seems they tried but maybe weren't truly knowledgeable and why there is only one now. But one guy for that many units- how can one expect him to keep up? However, I do not pay rent to worry about maintenance or staffing issues I pay rent to have my maintenance issues resolved in a timely manner. That doesn't mean 3 months later. Basement- FLOODS EVERYTIME IT RAINS. This has occurred since I moved in and I am not the only unit it has happened to- I personally know a few others dealing with this issue. We all have videos and pictures of the water pouring in, the damage it causes along with the MOLD. Call the office and all you get is LIES and EXCUSES. "we have you on the list to have the contractors to evaluate", "we have contractors coming to look at this problem", "there are other units worse, we need to tend to those first". The contractors they speak of AKA the maintenance guy which he told me himself on the night he accidently came to my house over a work order that was taken care of MONTHS prior.

I lived here for 6 years and by the time I left it was a complete dump! Let me start by saying that Country Estates will not respond to your maintenance requests. We had a leak in the ceiling from the upstairs bathtub for 3 years they never fixed it. When we first moved in the locks on the door and windows were broken. They did not respond and I paid a locksmith out of pocket to fix the deadbolt. It took them two years (no kidding) to fix the lock on the window. I shoved a stick in there to keep thieves out. I requested screens for the windows and patio door. That took an additional 8 months to fix. Bottom line they are cheap and they don't care about the conditions that you're living in. On to the reason we moved. We discovered that we had mice in July 2018. Called them nothing... went to the office... nothing. We were trapping 4 -5 mice weekly. It was disgusting. I stopped cooking in my kitchen and we pretty much lived upstairs away from the smell of mice feces and urine. This went on until October 2018. They did nothing even when I sent a certified letter. Nothing. I moved out for the sake of my families health they just sent me an enormous bill that I am taking to an attorney. I'm suing for my rent back. Did I mention that we were stellar tenants. Never late on rent, no complaints just hardworking people. Country estates is not a place to move your family. And due to their negative reviews they seem to be moving in anybody willing to live in their run down apartment homes. These folks look like section 8 recipients. We put up with a lot cause the rent was cheap. The mice were too much and they invaded multiple units. These townhomes are disgusting be warned. Move on. Don't be fooled by the nice office and the one "staged" apartment home they show every perspective tenant. Call Terrace Gardens townhomes instead. I lived there it wasn't perfect but way way way better.

Finally they came out and "repaired" it. 4/2/15 it stopped working again. Reported.434361 4/17/15 called and asked them to please come out and fix it. They said they would try. Did not show up.436265 We have lived here for 10 years and have enjoyed the location and our unit. Maintenance use to be good but not at the present time. It should not take this long to get something repaired. Very unhappy with the response from the maintenance crew and office staff.

This is one of the worst places ever to live. I have lived at Country Estate Townhomes for more than 3 years now and I want you to listen to me: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEHWERE ELSE. For more than three years that I've lived at Country Estate Townhomes, the stove breaks every month and since they don't consider that an emergency, I will have to go a couples days without cooking. One Christmas day 2013 my wide was making food for guests we had invited and the stove suddenly broke and she couldn't continue. We had to call all out guests to cancel the invitation - what an embarrassment! I am more than 30 years old and that stove is older than me. Also, there was some really heavy rains in 2013 and my basement was all flooded, a lot of my stuff got destroyed. Insurance said they do not cover stuff like that. My only plea to Country Estate Townhomes was to make some repairs to make sure that never happens again. They never made any repairs to date. A couple more floods happened and I've had to endure all of the loss by myself. They have been changing their management almost every month or something. Each time you call them with a problem, they will complain that they have a new management and staff and have no idea whats been going on in your unit. To make things worse, because the units are really old, their utilities are always very high. For a two bed room apartment, I pay at least $150.00/month and OPPD at least $250.00 every month (sometimes more than $350.00). There are many places in Omaha that are more energy efficient, please don't waste your money with Country Estate Townhomes. I am glad that I am finally leaving. I started renting with Country Estate Townhomes three years ago without ever reading these reviews and will never make the same mistake again. Please DO NOT RENT HERE, it is not worth it.

If you know what's good for you, do not move here! I have filed multiple complaints with the office and nothing EVER seems to get done! You'd think after 10 complaints something would get done. They allow drugs on residence (they claim they don't, but when you complain they MAY give out an odor complaint). I don't know because nothing has changed even, went a 2nd time to complain. Not a place for children. Got a complaint about dog baking? News flash dogs bark. They are the worst, save your money, i can't wait til lease is up!

On the out side this place seems great but not worth the trouble. The park is falling apart and is only a slide and 5 swings. They come off as children friendly but since I've lived here I've gotten in to it with them for my children just being children. The Toddler pool never opened and hasn't been open for two years so don't let them fool you. Maintenance is awesome and the manager in the front office is a lovely lady but other then that I really don't have anything nice to say about the property. I also have to fight with them to get my lawn mowed...

I have been living in this townhome for about 4 1/2 months!!! WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD TO LIVE!!!!!!!!! Management and Staffing seems nice, UNTIL YOU MOVE IN!!! I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS SINCE SIGNING MY LEASE. LEGAL ISSUES ARE BOUND TO HAPPEN. IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS BEST, TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. THERE ARE OTHER AFFORDABLE TOWNHOMES IN THE OMAHA AREA THAT I AM SURE WILL BE LESS STRESSFUL TO LIVE AT. -----, THE MANAGER AT THE FRONT OFFICE NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY.

I just put a down deposit on a townhome and have not had a problem with the staff. They seem to be very nice and helpful and making this process a positive one. After reading these other reviews I am a little scared to move in considering the multiple safety issues and break ins there have been. Is this place safe for 3 college girls?

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER! When we moved in the a townhome last may the cleaning was sub par, done by a resident, and the upstairs carpet had massive stains in both bedrooms. If you like having lighting in your home youll need lots of lamps because there are no light fixtures in the living room or bedrooms. Also the kitchen floor was a laminate that had a hole that was missing in it, it took until August to have that replace, the management did ask us if we could just cover it with a rug instead!!? I had nothing but unpleasant experiences interacting with the manager -----, she was extremely unhelpful, condescending, and had the "I'm better than you attitude". Also when you go to get your deposit back make sure you are aware that they will take out a $200 carpet cleaning fee for the disgusting carpet that needs to be replace anyways. And the last but most disturbing thing is be ready to have police in your neighborhood weekly, multiple times we had our circle blocked off with police cruisers, I would not recommend living here if you are a family, maybe you'd enjoy living here if you're a drug dealer or a brothel

We are residents of Country Estates for over 4years now, and living in these townhomes have served us well. Country Estates is nestled in a nice neighborhood, and centrally located to EVERYTHING you need, including very nice schools. I have appreciated the personal interactions with property management, both current and the previous managers and all staff. The property manager and staff are what have made the difference in our rental experience because they are receptive, overall prompt to manage any requests and they all are very respectful and considerate to accommodate residents. Our business has been conducted very professionally and on a personal note, there are several nice events hosted for all resident to participate in. My son and I have enjoyed our experience, it's comfortable, it's been truly HOME for us. I think the best qualities about being a resident is the feeling of HOME and having space. Closet space is Excellent, living area-Excellent, porches/patio-Excellent, children's play area-could use some TLC, but overall, the children enjoy it, and it's clean and safe.

We had the unfortunate experience of living at Country Estates for over ten years. In all that time only one issue was fixed in anything remotely approaching a timely fashion. The plumbing is awful, the drains barely work, the garbage disposal sent debris into the dishwasher. Another plumbing issue from an upstairs sink leak caused a hole in our kitchen ceiling that was about six inches wide and that was left un-addressed by the maintenance staff for more than 4 years. The also made the overhead kitchen light not work for the same multi year period. Some sort of electrical issue caused the basement to not have working lights for years, we complained and all that happened was when they needed to go down there to do anything the maintenance workers would complain about the lack of light. Due to a big snowstorm we had a gutter fall off, I went to ask them to fix/replace it and it took close to five weeks for anyone to come put a new one up. This caused major ice and water damage to our front door. The walls between units are so thin in the morning you get to hear your neighbor's alarm clocks and showers, in the evenings this is even worse when everyone has their televisions etc on. In short the conditions we lived in were sub par and close to unfit for human habitation and they did not care no matter how many times we asked them to address the major issues and nobody should ever have to live in such a place, especially not for $1000.00 or more per month.

Don't even bother. I unfortunately lived here for years, this place is cheaply built. Even under the previous management the maintenance was horrible. I had my townhouse broken into and they did not even complete the repairs on the door. Light not working the basement for years. Terrible plumbing and slow response times from maintenance. Carpet put in so poorly that it moved on the floor. Driveway caved in and they did not even fix it properly, will probably cave in again. Weeks to take care of a gutter that fell off from ice. I left in 2013 when the new management took over, due to the number of years of being loyal customers there we were assured that there would be no extra charges (should have gotten that in writing, so my mistake) to just now find out that they did not send me a bill. Run don't walk away from this place.

STAY AWAY!!! I can not stress this enough. Save yourself the headaches. For starters they are WAY over priced, built cheap, constantly broken into cars and garages, rent just raised between $150 and $200 for certain neighbors. Neighbors are all unhappy and looking elsewhere. Utilities are through the ROOF. Air conditioners don't work, duct work done all wrong, No parking, New management is HORRIBLE. She is beyond RUDE!!!! All the reviews I just read are SPOT ON. Kind of happy people are speaking up. Thankful I got the hell out of there.

The townhomes are very spacious and pretty nice. We had a lot of plumbing issues that never got fixed. The new management was just awful and rude. They liked to voice there concerns if we had left something on the floor and say it was unacceptable. That's funny. Pretty sure I am paying you and if I leave something on the floor, it is none of your concern. Parking is the absolute worst. If you are paying for a 3 bedroom townhome, it is likely you are going to have more than one car. It's ridiculous that I have to park 2 blocks away from my home. I would not recommend country estate townhomes to anybody

The new management has made this place horrible, they lie & don't follow through with anything they say regarding clarical issues; hidden fees on move out charges they take from your deposit. Worst off all during a heat wave during the summer, our broken ac took them 3 days to fix & we were stuck with living in 90 degree temps plus. DON'T MOVE INTO COUNTRY ESTATES

HaHa, Well it seems there is a trend here... These Town-homes where just on channel 6 news about break in's and there has been 20 in this area in the last 18 months, but the owners (Monarch Investment and Management Group Tel: 303-660-6400) should really be contacted. First the manager of the office has a horrible attitude, just read the other reviews and you will understand its not just a few people that think that, also it takes on average 2 months to get things fixed, but that is because I know of 2 maintenance men for 270 town-homes.

We are new to the complex so I have no reference point for previous management. However, I will say that I am less than impressed with not only the management skills of the people in the office but also the customer service. The work that was supposed to be taken care of during the first week of our lease has yet to be completed. The work that I pointed out on the condition report still is not done. The kitchen cabinets were dirty and moldy when we moved in and I refused to clean them without the management dealing with the issue. How they dealt with it was by painting over the mold and the dirt. The cabinet had some sort of sauce dried on to the bottom and instead of cleaning it, they just painted right over it. One element on the stove did not work and their response to that was "well at least you have 3 others that work". I'm not paying 3/4 of the rent, why should I accept 3/4 of the expected equipment. Before we even signed the lease, we were told that the bathroom floors were going to be replaced within a few days yet here we are over a month later and still nothing. Don't waste your time, energy or money here. There are plenty of other buildings available in the city of Omaha. Oh, one more thing, our car was broken into during the first week as well. We can't wait to leave.

If you are looking for a great place to live...Country Estates Townhomes is NOT the place you want to go. They were recently bought by a new management company and the property has gone down hill. Many residents are moving out. Cars and house are being broken into weekly and management does not care or even try to fix it. When we voiced our concerns about the break in she just said sorry and walked away and then later admitted to knowing that the crime rate has increased since Monarch took over. Maintenance never gets anything done the first time, if ever. The manager is heartless and rude and only cares about herself. She even yelled at my 6 year old son for grabbing a piece of candy off the desk as he always did with the previous manager. Before this management company took over I would have recommended it to anyone looking for a place to live. Now I would tell people to not even think about living here. If you are looking for a town home look elsewhere as you will be very unhappy from day one if you move the Country Estates.

Now under new management. I'm guessing the staff before saw signs of disaster all of them left except 1 maint guy (who was new anyway). The manager is a snobby B@/?! (Just being honest) my car has been broken into 2x, my garage broken into, my daughters bike plus lawn chairs taken right from my patio. Now concerned of my surroundings I've called the manager to tell her of suspicious activity & she asked me why was I calling her & to call the police!!! There have been so many home break ins that even the police said that they felt this was an "in house" job. Someone breaks right in the back window while you & your children are sleep in bed. Oh did I mention that we have Yale security?! That is the biggest joke, you could be stabbed on your front porch they'll never see it. I found out from the news that they are now installing lights on the homes for more safety, would've been nice to see this in a newsletter I have requested them to come for several maint issues all of which they claimed were fixed (but we cont to have issues with), had the same issue with water not lasting long enough to shower, my roof leaked for months & they painted over it & forgot to cover my plasma tv, the playground is so worn out and needs to be replaced, the siding is falling off the houses, concrete is cracked, toilet floods, dishwasher is a piece of crap. Guess what was the 1st project when new mgmnt came... They all got new office flooring and furniture! You would think they would provide safer windows to prevent break ins... Or maybe the kids could've gotten a playground! My insurance has gone up Plenty of space for storage, no where to park, close to schools, shopping and parks.

The townhome itself is spacious & the neighbors are great. However, getting anything fixed is damn near impossible. Been waiting almost a month to have some things fixed. Everytime I call the office, they ALWAYS say, "You're at the top of the list, they should be there this afternoon!" Still waiting. If they don't get better about fixing thimgs, we will be moving when our lease is up.
