Been here since January. NOT HAPPY on so many levels. Upon move in...found what looked like maybe ferret poop in corners of basement. Told office. Never cleaned. Did it myself. Thought garage layout in front of home was great...NOT SO GREAT! our cars have been broken into several times as well as our garage. Tons of stuff stolen. This happens frequently to many neighbors. I do NOT feel safe here. Fixtures are crap. 2 level units all have air/heat issues. (duct work was done all wrong, straight out of maintanances mouth) my utilities are through the ROOF due to this. Pool is hardly open and when it is its horribly dirty. Gym is dirty, and machines are ancient, hot water runs out before shower is over. I believe I am already highly over paying for what I have and now they send out letter for renewal with "convenient for tenant changes" to their utility charges. If it going from 12 bucks to 48 bucks is a good thing then clearly im missing something. The grounds are well kept, the layout is great and I do love the fireplace. Im also lucky to have very cool neighbors. But unless they are going to offer lower rent im gone when my lease is up.

I was excited to move into Country Estates, but dissappointed in the shape the unit was in when I moved in. The unit was a mess. Many things I was promised would be cleaned or fixed during the walk through, prior to my move in, were not. My move-in check list of problems was a mile long! Upon speaking with the staff, only a few things have been fixed. When I expressed my concern about others, i.e. no screen door, bugs, cobwebs, the staff just made excuses. These issues have yet to be addressed. After giving them notice, I am patiently waiting, but will most likely hire someone to fix these problems and take the expenses off my next month's rent. So far I am not a happy tenant!

Where to start
I was very surprised when I moved in to how messy this place was. There were things in the cupboards and vanity, the shower and bathrooms were not clean. There are NO words to discribe the kitchen and how gross it was. The office staff are amazing always friendly and willing to help out. I believe there is a major communication issue between them and the maintance. Everyone that I have talked to says nothing but good things. I just don't believe should take three months to get a leak fixed. The space is great. I have not had any issues with the noise level. The kitchen is very outdated, and the love to see the sliding doors updated, but they work. I hope that the maintance issues were resolved and then everything will be great.

LOVE
Love the staff and I love living here. I live on the back side of property it is very quiet and peaceful. Mimi and Nina in the office are awesome and my issues are resolved when I call them in. I like all my neighbors also which makes it that much better to call this place home :)

Love it here!
This is my third year living here, and I am very happy with the complex for the most part. Maintenance has been awesome, always timely and done right. The office staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Nina always remembers my name and address, which is pretty impressive considering the size of the place. I have never had a bug or water problem, except last winter with the extremely heavy snow, had some leakage around an upstairs window. Maintenance did a good job of repairing the damage once the weather improved. I'm fortunate to live on one of the streets that has quite a bit of street parking, but I could see how some areas would have problems with parking. My main complaints would be that the cabinets are quite cheap and ugly, and the appliances are cheap and old (so far they work, though!). Also the old windows and definitely the sliding glass doors need to be replaced. I also wish they would enforce weed cleanup in the flowerbeds, but I'm glad they give us freedom to take care of them since I love to garden. Overall, a great value compared to the last apartment I was in. Pet rent is very reasonable, and having a garage and basement is a huge plus.

Yep Thieves and Liars, Do Not Recommend
During the 2 years I lived here Country Estates cost me my cat and about $300 in heating and cooling costs. I wish I would have discovered how irrisponsible the office staff really was, I would not have stayed 2 years. I had checked the utility bills with OPPD and MUD before I signed the lease and when the bills started coming they were $30 MORE. I contacted the office to see what could be causing this and their response was "rates are going up for everyone" Several months later my son discovered that there wasn't any insulation in the basement. I told the office and asked them to put some in and they did and wala my bills dropped!! The office staff should have at least gave it a second thought as to why my utility bills were out of wack. THEN they killed my beautiful white cat Gizzy!! There were mice next door (I was not notified) and they put down mice poison for them. Gizzy loved to hunt and eat mice, so he was having a grand time! I had no clue there was even a mouse problem until the poison killed Gizzy and then I realized I had the mouse problem!!! When Gizzy got sick I called the office and asked them if they had put any insecticide or anything anywhere because my cat was sick and their response was "NO", liars!!! They knew but did not tell me and why would a pet friendly environment even consider mouse poison!! That's just stupid and irresponsible!! I know Terminex says it's safe but it's not when the mouse has not digested it, I called my vet and they confirmed. Also, I trapped at least 10 mice before they finally came and took out the dishwasher and plugged the hole they were coming through. There are other issues too but lastly I was told that I could paint if the color was light and neutral and I would not be charged when I moved out, liars again they kept $140 of my deposit!! Next stop the Better Business Bureau. This is not fair I paid my rent on time for two years and left the townhouse in almost as good a shape as it was when I moved in!!

Definately has issues
Country Estates are nice homes. I love the 2.5 bath and ability to have a fireplace. The only bad part? You're getting super cheap maint. When I moved in, I had to call to get my door changed, when it was ROTTING off... The carpet is not stapled to my stairs, which makes vacuuming a hassle. There was a big brown stain on the carpet in the living room. In 2 spots in the living room, they spliced carpet instead of replacing the whole thing, so I have some two-toned carpet in obvious spots. There is paint on the carpet, from the white walls, and they painted over my outlets and cable input too. The shower in the master bedroom leaks from the bad seal. My carpet near my backdoor is frayed and has a hole now near the door. The basement floods. And not just a bit, like inches. Almost every time it rains. When maint came the first time to clean it up, they told me that "because you're new, I'll do this for you now. But generally it is the renters responsibility to clean up the water... and call us if you need us to come repain the floor." I am not kidding at all. Not that it is all bad, this is a bunch of things from different times. I love the layout, the closets are big in the bedrooms, the livingrooms are spacious and open. Lovely kitchen, perfect for a single person like myself. The lawn is always well maintained, and my dog loves to run in the automatic sprinkler when it comes on at night. Overall, if they could fix the small things that annoy overtime, I'd probably live there forever. But the staff doesn't have the best attitude, so even asking to get some things done leaves me feeling terrible for asking. Definately something to think about.

Cat Piss Everywhere!
To start, our town home smells like cat piss...there is rodent ---- in our basement... rats maybe? Maintenance does minimal work. They show up late and unannounced. Also VERY RUDE AND CREEPY. If your having maintenance done don't leave someone home alone! Creeeepy! Yes, they come with a driveway but good luck fitting your cars in it. There is basically no other parking. If you don't fit in the tiny uncut driveways your screwed, parking a few blocks away.We got 2 of our cars broken into with in a month of living here. Good job Yale security! Bad wiring!!! Light socket started on fire with in a month also. "Brand new" AC didn't work after 3 maintenance calls. They advertise having a hot tub,its great.... when it works, which is about once a week. If you ask them when it's going to be fixed, they will probably give you an attitude and say that they didn't even notice it was broken, but oh well the maintenance guys just left early for the day...they'll deal with it tomorrow.... maybe. If you have friends visit with their dogs, that's a mistake. They will accuse you of "exceeding your pet limit" and threaten to terminate your lease. So basically, if you like rude landlords, creepy old maintenance men without a clue about anything maintenance related, ------ parking, and a bad smell in your home this is the place for you!

Poor Plumbing
I lived in the complex for just over a month. At first I was impressed with the townhome. Don't get me wrong the maintenace is good at responding to your request in a timely manner. However at this point I am just questioning the quality or knowledge of the Mainteance department. My hot water only last for 30 seconds. This is my second maintenance request. Also, parking is somewhat a drag, you may park at Leasing office but depending on your address that might be far away. The staff is nice. I am only writing this because I am frustrated .We will see the what solution they come up with if they actually fix the problem. This is is my only grip about this community. The grounds are kept up it is quiet.

Do NOT LIVE HERE!
I lived in the townhome for a year. When I first walked through the townhouse it smelled musty but I didn't think much of it at the time. After living there we had several plumbing issues that were apparently our fault and not the 40 year old pipes that are needing to be replaced. When it rained there would be small puddles in the basement but nothing major. Instead of fixing the issue they would PAINT over the stain. I had a couple electrical boxes that were actually LEAKING and were never fixed. After the heavy rains I went to my basement and saw an inch of water covering everything we had down there. My roommate and I had several items damaged. When we called the maintence workers they were not helpful at all. We had to provide a dehumidifier and fans. I witnessed a stream of water coming up and over the baseboards. Not only was water coming over the baseboards but also through the cracks in the concrete floor. It was a very miserable experience. After the two major floods the paint on the floors were peeling and bubbling and all they wanted us to do was move our stuff so they could repaint it. The staff made you feel stupid when you reported anything and they did not help you once they got there. The townhouse also had mold and had very muggy air. They also had nasty insulation and there were a few places in the basement that there wasn't any at all. If you have more than one car the parking is ridiculous especially if you are on a hill. I would not recommend to move in here, there's other places that are much nicer and cheaper. If you do choose to move in, DON'T put anything on the floor in the basement. It will get wet.

Poor place to live
Parking is obscene -because of the high rent, the bedroom has multiple occupancy which means multiple vehicles - one or two parking places per block means people coming home late at night from employment have to park two blks from apts. People having fights, loud parties. Poor mtnce of porch, promise of fixing bathroom sink, drain two years ago. Bug people were in apt less than 5 minutes. Streets need of repair. Before I rented here other apt complexes told me that they would see me next year when my lease runs out.

Thieves and Liars!!
Country Estates townhomes has very poor staff. They often promise tenants certain items but later claim no recollection of having those conversations. This has cost some tenants a lot in financial terms. Maintenance is very poor, they are always trying to get by with the least amount of work. My shower has leaked for over a month and still isn't fixed, was told that it was normal. I know that any leak is not normal. Paint is very shoddy, slightest touch makes it come off the walls. Overall constuction, seems like everything is falling apart or ready to fall apart. I wouldn't live here ever again and not past my current lease. Not recommended for friends or family not even my worst enemy!

water leakage and serious mold issues
I have concern for families with little ones. Please do not move here. My family has had health issues living in Country Estates Townhomes. After moving here mold has grown through paint and water is leaking in through various places. Who knows how much mold is growing behind sheetrock. There is visible mold all over basement. Husband and I have reported water leaks and mold to leasing office several times. The response from them is: subject change, dumbfounded look on thier face, or maintenance is very busy right now. we will probably have to throw away some of our things that have been sitting in basement due to mold spores. we are trying to get out of here ASAP. save yourself trouble do not move in.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND COUNTRY ESTATES
I read some of the reviews previously listed and would have to guess that these would be disgruntled residents who probably didn't pay their rent on time. I found Country Estates to be very comfortable and the staff was outstanding, very helpful, courteous, prompt in taking care of any concerns I had, and made me feel very welcome. I would HIGHLY recommend Country Estates due to the price, location, accomodations, staff, and atmosphere.

Very poor living conditions!
Unfortunately we still live here too. Aside from the basement leaking, flooring under carpet being so cheap it is falling apart causing carpet rip, old crooked cabinets, murders next door, parties all the time, drafty, high heating bills, walls cracking...well other than all of that I guess it is a nice place to live.
We were not shown the home we are renting. The home we were shown was 10 times nicer! No water stains, no mold, no cracked walls, plenty of parking and most of all a full basement! This place is not worth the over $900 (after water bill, which is almost as high as a 3 bedroom home!!!) in rent every month. As soon as lease is up we are gone, as are many other tenants! I encourage EVERYONE to go to dialequities.com and click on the Country Estates Townhomes area then file a complaint with the management.

a great place to call home
I was concidering to move from country estates townhomes because its alot of room for just myself. But in my search for a place to live I was looking for the same kind of service that I receive here.I looked up this site that a friend had told me about to find something smaller for my needs. I was disgusted at what I saw, it was all negitive letters and no possitive on anything I read. I then looked up country estates to see what was there, and again I dont think any of the possitives are being displayed which is sad. This has been my home for a long time and I feel they do a great job considering the amount of homes that they tend to.The manager has been here as long as I have, and the office help has changed a few times but for the better. They dont deserve to have all the negitives on this site because those are probaly from former people that didnt obey the rules anyway. I love my home and I have had no major concerns regarding the staff or maintenance.
Thanks for this site, it has made me think twice before I made a discion to move. Keep up the good work and I will always support and recommend this property to other´s.

Best Place To Live
I have lived here for 3 years and have had nothing but pleasent service. Anytime I needed something fixed, it was taken care of immediately. Some maintenance issues sometimes took a little longer, however they are only human and can only work as fast as they can. I have lived at other places before and no matter where I go there is always a maintenance issue. I was really surprised when I came here that this is not the case. The overall community is wonderful and you can really tell that they have no problem putting money into this place. I went out to other properties in the area to see what is out there, and there is nothing that compares. The other ones are really run down and when I walked into the office, they looked at me like I was being a big inconvience to them. At least I know when I go in my office there is nothing but warm smiles and caring attitudes.

Poor. Has room for improvement.
The property management will be rude and discourteous. My personal opinion is they are only interested in their quota and income.

The foundation of my residence had cracks and would leak, both in the home and the garage. I have a couple of items, what would normally be considered miniscule and invaluable, missing after a maintenance call. I have found greased finger prints and soda missing from my fridge after a maintenance call, as well.

For the money ($785/mo), there are better quality residences, with better service(s), available in Omaha.

In contrast, the residence is large, approximately 1200 sq. ft., and it is quite (very little road/traffic noise) except for the kids who have their public broadcast system (loud stereos).

Don´t move here
If you want terrible maintainence, things breaking/breaking down ALL the time, impossible parking, streets that aren´t lit, bottom-of-the-line appliances and living arrangements then this is the place for you. The only positive is that there is a pool, but it was always full of children without supervision.

Save yourself time, effort, and headaches and don´t even think of living here. You´ll be glad you didn´t...move here that is!

Not worth the money!
Negatives:
Service Response is a joke! They told us that they were going to fix several things before we moved in, then didn´t have any of them done. When we called them, they didn´t remember any of the things, but said they´d get right on it. We´re still waiting for some of them (10 mos!). When they do respond, it usually takes several days and they don´t tell you when they´re coming and then the repairs usually don´t last.

The light by the driveway was broken for several months. There isn´t a peep hole in the door, and you can´t see your driveway or the street from your door or deck, so we felt a little unsafe. (However, the privacy on the deck, which is blocked from the street by the garage, is somewhat nice...)

Not all of the windows or patio doors have screens; light switches are oddly placed; carpet, tile and appliances are pretty old; and the dishwasher is very small and awkward! The walls are pretty thin, too, so if you get loud neighbors, good luck! Overall, the rooms are too small for a multiple roommate situation, but they may work well for a small family.

The exercise facility is convenient, but the hours are not. The machines are limited and usually broken. The good thing is that it is never crowded!

Positives:
Washer and dryer were brand new. There is a lot of storage space in the unfinished basement!

Overall:
If you don´t want multiple headaches, I would advise against Country Estates Townhomes.

if you want to have a big house..
this is the place to be. however, that is about it. maintainence is not now nor has it ever been a priority here. the place is falling down in many respects and maintainence is clueless as to how to fix it. if they do manage to get out to your place-which can take up to a MONTH-that is no guarantee it will be fixed.

the amenties are laughable as well. the pool was closed most of the summer for ´necessary repairs´ why this was not checked during the winter remains unknown. the tennis court no longer exsists and no one has had bug spraying done in the two years I have been here.

the office staff is generally unhelpful and slow to respond to any problem-except non payment from what I understand.

cats are allowed which makes it more homelike and a playground is provided, BUT it is across streets from many residents and children are not able to use it.

paint, carpet, applicances are all bottom of the line.

on the positive side-new siding has been put on and everyone now has gas heat. CET is trying to upgrade, but trees in front of all the homes just seems a waste.

Not much for the money
On the outside, it appears to be a reasonable value. But due to high and frequent rent increases with virutally no increase in service or benifits, the value is completely lost. Staff are often rude and generally not helpful. Service calls are not managed well and are performed by poorly trained personnel, resulting in numerous repeat trips for the same problem. Units are older and have frequent service calls. Insulation is poor and electrical wiring is suspect as some outlets in the unit were loose and sparked when used. Appliances are generally smaller and of poor quality.
