the truth about eastwood arms
i am currently living in eastwood arms and it is a new way of living when we moved in we had flea's,cigarette burns in the carpet our closet smells musty, neighbors are loud,it seems very nice till you sign that lease.at eastwood arms they dont care the gates never work so no it isnt a gated community dont let them lie we been here for almost a year the front gate never worked not 1 day the back gate works when it wants as for your complaints they really can care less whether it the noise or smoking and hanging in the halls its a real big problem with smokeing in the halls, when we gave them our complaints we got complaints for the very things we complaind about i've seen public houseing that was maintained better then these appartments. It seems like they like unfair houseing on top of it all they dont clean up nothing but the office so when and if you do stop by be sure to look out back not just the front i highly suggest carniege appartments anything besides eastwood arms i wish we had seen these reviews befor we moved in here!its unbareable, also doors have an inch gap so heat and air condition seeps out and you here everthing in the hall!good luck hope you find somewhere else,or stay where you are because eastwood is not the place for you,

Not a fair place to live!
Each tenant is treated differently by management. Manager on premises sucks! Huge turnover of tenants. No consistency in rent rates. Different rates for the same apartment. Always raising rent, not justified. Maintenance is horrible and does not know what they are doing. Calling the office is a joke, they are there yet do not answer or return phone calls. Takes days to get anything repaired. Not a good place to call home!

A horrible place to live anymore
I have lived here in Eastwood Arms for the past eight years. I will be moving AS SOON AS my lease is up! The management team DOES NOT listen to your complaints and DOES NOT care about you! Maintenance is very poor. The swimming pool for the past three years has had very poor maintenance. Currently there is no one assigned to maintain the swimming pool. It does not get cleaned and the new pool hours are whenever someone happens to open it. This is not a place you want to live! Take my advice and run the other way!

Quiet but not too quiet!
I love how private & quiet it is here without being creep quiet. I see neighbors & other people that live here often but I'm never disrupted by anyone! It's pleasantly quiet & comfortable to live at Eastwood!

Good but not great. Would live there again.
The grounds are nice and well kept. Landscaping is contracted out and they do a good job. On site maintenance is prompt courteous and can handle virtually any job. This properties on site maintenance also does there renovation. One apartment that had been lived in for a long time was stripped down to the studs and redone almost completely by onsite staff. The front office staff is courteous; the manager although fair could use a class in customer service. Same could be said about the emergency service fair but not with a smile. The one bedroom apartment I rented had a large living room, much larger than most apartments in this price range for this area. Although not all 1 bedrooms have this configuration. The two bedrooms are a bit more cramped because they are virtually in the same amount of space so something has to give. During my move in time they where refreshing the apartments through attrition, so I go all new carpet, paint, and appliances. The garages where built as an afterthought so if yours is facing uphill it will leak. They did try and put drainage in during a parking lot resurface and it lessened the problem but did not cure it. Personally making sure the drains are not plugged on the top with leaves and such helps. If all you care about is parking a car it is defiantly better than a carport or out in the open. But if you want to work on anything the floor gets filled with silt very quick. The older buildings have single wall mounted A/C and if you like a cooler bedroom you will need to get your own second unit. Access control would be nice if someone would not keep crashing the gates. Not really the management fault though. However upper management has promised security cameras that never surfaced.

Seems nice at first...
The apartments look nice inside, though in the two bedroom apartments the living room is rather small. There are plenty of windows in each apartment as well that let in a lot of light. They keep the hallways and the laundry rooms clean too, as well as the surrounding landscaping.

For the most part, everyone in my building seems nice. However last year, a person moved in next to me who has a really loud entertainment center. Now all I hear throughout my apartment is this loud thundering noise (the deep bass coming from it). I've tried complaining to the landlord about it several times because it has kept me up at night, but all they seem willing to do is leave a note with the tenant and call it a day.

I now regret signing another year lease with them and I'm thinking about moving out as soon as this current one expires. What is the sense of putting a notice in the lease that you are not to disturb other residents with loud noise, if they aren't going to enforce it?

Nice, quiet, and great for a small family
Being a single Father, I wanted tto find a place where my son and I could just relax, throw a ball around, and not have to worry about a bunch of teenager or early 20 somethings, playing loud music, and keeping us up all hours of the night. Yet, I am in my early 20's myself, so I may not have been the ideal looking tenant. Single 20 something guy. But they didnt think twice, they were very curtious through the starting up process. Once I moved in, I had no problems at all. The staff was willing to help as best they can. If you happen to work the wrong hours, i could be tough getting a hold of them, but I never had a problem. Its a nice quiet area, and im glad i picked here to bring my son.

Eastwood Arms is hard to deal with.
Don't bother trying to work 1st shift and deal with these people. Most of the time by the time I get off of work if I need anything from the office I have to wait til Saturday morning. They do have an answering service which is for emergencies only that consists of a very rude and unprofessional staff that will not think twice to hang up on you. If any packages are delivered they are just left in front of the apartment door for anyone to pick up or left in the office and like I said..wait til the weekend to see anyone in there. Maintenance shows up and will enter your apartment at any given time maybe even weeks after a maintenance issue is reported. You will receive memos in your door that look like they were written for a group of fourth graders. Access in and out of the community is also a pain, if you are expecting visitors there is no way for them to get in and out of the gate without giving your access code out to them. Overall, this is just another apartment complex that is appealing to the naked eye, but give it a few months and you will be disappointed in one way or another.
