Terrible place to live! If you have not already read about this, management here is sucks. Campus lodge never puts the customer first. If you are a college student, be ready for them to treat you badly. If you have something go wrong during your stay here ( and it will), you will have to deal with the most incompetent staff out there. Manager does nothing but argue back rather than listen. No wonder this place goes through a new manager yearly. Hopefully the current one gets the pink slip.

Do not pay the extra money for a deluxe apartment!! The furniture may look nice but the mattresses are absolutely terrible and rock solid, even worse than the ones in the standard apartments. I lived in a dorm for two years and the dorm room mattresses were nicer.

I lived here for a few years with different friends moving in and out through the years. Overall, I don't think any of us had very many complaints. It's extremely well-priced for the amount of space you get, the screened-in porches are great and parking isn't too difficult. The furniture is sturdy even though when our 4th dining room chair broke, they said that they are only doing 3 chairs now and will not be replacing it. Which seems silly to me when 4 people live there. The "Quiet Room" is a way to rip you off but it is a tad bit nicer if you're high-maintenance.

Campus Lodge seems to receive lots of complaints and I will say that I have complained quite a bit about the place, but realistically you get a good deal for what you pay. The main problem is upper management, they've charged me for having a "quiet room" there was nothing special, then the room is 3"x3" larger and cost me extra and finally we are all equal. My roommate was military and they tried telling him he had to pay off his rent before moving even with his orders, apparently their law book had excluded the paragraph allowing military to end a contract.. The furniture isn't the best, but you pay a lot less on rent. Now the gates are always broken and the basketball lights seem to always be broken. Safety hasn't been a problem even with this being not the best part of town. The maintenance people are friendly and pretty quick on responding. Now sometimes it does sound like a hippo lives above us as they stomp around, but the sound, minus parties, isn't awful. Overall Campus Lodge was decent for three years and if you are looking to save some money I highly recommend it.

Honestly one of the worst places I have ever lived. Don t be fooled by this place. They rope you in by telling you that it is all bills paid, but they overcharge you every month. They take advantage of the fact that it is mostly college students who need a place to live. The staff is rude and the maintenance takes forever. I usually ended up fixing things myself. Do not live here! It is virtually impossible to get out of your lease, so once mine was up I was out of there. The amount of money you pay is not worth the hassle. Also, be cautious of the positive reviews, they pay tenants to write them.

I have lived her for three years and have very few problems yet the ones I have had have been large and handled poorly. The only reason I have renewed my lease is because it is inexpensive. The staff is rude and don't care about quality of life or returning residence. They use trickery to try and get more money. They definitely take advantage of the fact it is mostly college students. When terms and policies were changed without notifying residents and when questioned they have nothing to say but to apologize which does little to improve the situation. The management is very unethical and I would not recommend it to anyone. Though the maintenance is usually great the apartment is not kept up well between guests and quality of apartment and furniture is low! The apartment is also in a bad part of town and little is done to keep intruders out!

The price for rent is less than almost any other place in Norman, however that is the extent of the good. Furnishings are of lower quality/luxury than any other apartments. The staff is horrible at customer service and constantly complain that they can't do anything because of corporate. The gates do nothing to keep people out and have worked for less than 2% of the time. There is police either in the complex or across the street on a daily basis. I can't even begin to count the number of fights I have seen in the parking lot and basketball court, mostly from people who don't even live here. Several neighbors have had their cars broken into. I know this has nothing to do with the apartment management but this is not the best side of town. Basically keep a gun loaded in case you ever need it

It is good, of great value, the furniture is sturdy and of good quality. Parking is fine, I never had a problem with that. Mine is never noisy - I guess it depends on what kinds of neighbors you have. The complex is good and of great value, especially when you can have your own roommates. One thing to complain is the staff. It seems that they want your money, but do not know how to show sympathy to you when something unwanted happens to you. The safety of the complex is an issue too. The blockade at the gate is a joke. Weird guys may knock at your door anytime 24/7. When you complain, the staff will not help at all - little sympathy, let alone any endeavors to make this community safer. They fix A/C quickly, but other than that, hope you will have not much to do with the staff. And if you have a friend visit you with a pet (even just 30 min), be aware, the staffs will be stalkers and give you a fine of hundred dollars at any time.

Inappropriate Move Out Fees
I was charged move out fees even when the apartment was in better condition than when I moved in. When I pointed out conditions upon move in they were never handled, and when I moved out they charged cleaning fees that I'm sure they will not use for the next tennant. I'm sure they charge these fees no how much you clean after you move out, so don't waste your time and energy!!

Great value
This place is about as good of a value as you'll get if you want to live cheaply and still have an enjoyable experience, that is, if you don't mind having three roommates. I lived here for three years and enjoyed my experience. I only moved because I was ready to live on my own. Staff has always been friendly and maintenance was always quick to respond, usually within 24 hours. The fact it comes fully furnished is a plus too if you are on a budget; however, the couch can be a bit uncomfortable, and the furniture gives you a cabin feel (hence the name Campus LODGE). Noise didn't bother me, but I could see where quiet people wouldn't like it. The tenants are made up of 98% college students, so it's going to get loud. Those parties often mean that parking can be scarce at night, though. It's a minor inconvenience, but nothing to throw a red flag. Overall, 9 out of 10 people will enjoy their lease here. There are all kinds of little perks such as all-inclusive rent, a fitness center, pool table, an area to clean your car, oh and a pool with a volleyball net AND basketball goal!

Good first apartment!!
I moved in August of 2011 and have loved it the whole time I've lived here! I've had a few issues with roommates but nothing that Campus Lodge didn't get straightened out. If you are looking for a good first apartment then Campus Lodge is the place (especially if you have a few friends you want to live with!) The pool is always clean, the weight room is sufficient, and the free tanning is nice as well! I love that all bills are included so you don't have to worry about internet or cable. Autumn and Bret that work in the front office are amazing!! If I have any questions about what is going on I go talk to them and if they don't already know the answer they always find the answer for me. No complaints from me :)

God awful!
I've been living at campus lodge since last July. On my move in date my two roommates and I walked in our new home and found the place filthy due to them not cleaning our amenities since the previous owner. They promised to have someone come out and at least steam vacuum the carpets since we had already cleaned the place ourselves even though they advertise that the place would be pre cleaned before our move in date. Still to this day, no one has come to do that. We've had trouble with them placing a fourth roommate that wasn't matched well with their "roommate match" application AND we were fined $20 today for a piece of mail accidentally dropped by the mail man. They claim that there is nothing they can do about it forcing us to pay bill. It's a crappy place to live. I wouldn't encourage anyone to live here. They have stupid rules and treat you as if you live in a college dorm. If you don't want to be treated like a child, don't live here. Paying $424 a month for all these problems, I think I'll find somewhere else to live.

Definite bang for the buck
Pros- Awesome value. I pay $369/month for washer/drier, my own bathroom, a big bedroom with a big closet, good kitchen appliances, and a patio. Can't beat that. The maintenance is awesome here; most of the time, complaints are handled the same day by the very-friendly handymen. There are really no rules here, so there are definitely some trashy people, but you can easily avoid those problems by filling out the survey and getting put in the right building and telling the staff that you don't wanna mix with those people. The front office staff at the Lodge is constantly changing, so one month you'll get excellent service and the next the staff will just blow you off. Oh, and we're in a ----- neighborhood, so keep your bike in your room (my was stolen!) and if you're ------------------------, don't go walking off around the neighborhood by yourself at 4 AM. That's just common sense, though.

The Overall Experience Was Regrettable: Look Elsewhere
I feel sick to my stomach when I consider my overall experience at Campus Lodge. I moved to Norman from out of state and was hoping to expect a reasonable living arrangment during my stay here. However, I was mistaken. First of all, parking is simply not acceptable. The only time parking is ok is during the day when students are at class. But if you attempt to find a parking in front or near your building during the night, you better be ready to park far away from your building if you're lucky. I simply didn't feel safe at times making the long walks from my car to my building. There is extra room in the front of the complex, but that means you'll have to walk even more far away from you building. This may be their attempt to provide sufficent parking, but I'll say coming home from campus late at night and having to walk through the parking lot a far distance is not acceptable. I can take care of myself and understand this is what I signed up for. But I simply can't understand why Campus Lodge isn't more responsive to these enviormental factors. Secondly, this place is too noisey. My neighbors were constantly making loud noise while I tried to study. If you're looking for a reasonably quiet place to study, this isn't the place. I can't stress this factor enough. Understand what kind of place this is and ask yourself if this is what you really want. Lastly, I feel management needs to be restructed or at the very least, given extensive training on how to be nice and polite to their residents. We are paying for your services, at the very least it should be expected that we receive customer service with a degree of politeness. We aren't children who need to be scolded, rather we're residents giving you money; thus common courtesy would be nice. Overally, all I can say is, be aware of what you're getting yourself in. Since Campus Lodge is a very large complex, I'm sure they try their best to work out the problems, however because of their large size your voice and problems will get drowned out. Somestimes trying is not good enough. They are mediocre at best.

STAFF HAS A POLICY NOT TO HELP RESIDENCE
If you're looking for a helpful hand in case you need help, don't expect for the front office to assist you. I've had a flat tire and needed a jump start for my car, however both times I contacted the office for assistance, but they would not offer jumper cables or help with flat tires. They said they have a policy not to help residents since they may be liable. In reality, I think it's their way of not offering help to residents because it would be one more thing they would have to do. I also had problems with the front office handling my check for the rent. My bank submitted the check to them way before the rent was due, however they claim they didn't recieve it. Before my rent was due I confirmed it was sent and asked the aptment to confirm they had recieved it, but they would not. Either they lost my check or it was lost in the mail. They charged me a late fee even after I called the bank and proved it was sent a month before it was due. If they had confirmed that they had not recieved it, then I would have had time to pay them before it was due. During severe weather management doesn't provide neccesary information to keep residents safe. You're left alone to fend for yourself. Also, the noise is a big problem. Residents above me were a constant hassle also throwing parties and making a big scene jumping up and down making the ceiling shake. Also expect to be waken up at night by people trying to sell you maganizes: not acceptable!! One even apporched me in the middle of the night or early morning in the parking lot.

Terrible! I do not recommend at all. I had terrible neighbors and management gave me the run around about it the whole year. I've complained so many times, but I can't sleep at night because of neighbors' music and I can't study during the day because of neighbors' music. The apartments are alright. Nothing at all special except you have your own bathroom. The dryer sucked and took 2 and half hours a load to dry (if not longer). When I asked maintenance to take a look, they said it worked just fine and to do smaller loads...I hate it here and can't wait to move out. So if you like to sleep, study, or do anything in relative quiet, DO NOT LIVE HERE. If you want to listen to your neighbor's music and bass 24/7, then go ahead and give it a try.

It's Not a Bad Deal
I lived at Campus Lodge two separate times. The first, I was in my second semester, freshman year. I was embarrassed to invite my parents at first because it is on the "bad" side of town, so it looks a little sketchy. However, I did enjoy living there because I had my own room and bathroom (and a shared kitchen/living room/laundry room with only three other people). Since I had come from the dorms, I was mostly just happy to have my own bedroom and bathroom. It only took me about 10 minutes to get to campus from Campus Lodge, but I moved closer to campus because my roommate and I didn't want to find two other girls to live with us. (There are 4 people per unit at Campus Lodge.) After that year, we moved back to Campus Lodge after finding two other girls we wanted to live with. We did an extensive apartment search to find the best deal, and at the time, Campus Lodge was the cheapest rent (also a plus that all bills are included in the rent) for what you get. There are other decent places that are affordable for two people that we were unable to find, but I enjoyed living at Campus Lodge the past two years. The things I liked: They were usually quick to respond to any maintenance issues I requested, and they were always very helpful in the office. The grounds were always being kept up, and the pool was clean. The business center is nice to have, and I like that you could print for free if you just brought your own paper in the computer lab. It was nice to have 24/7 access to it. I loved the gym. It was always clean, and there are 4 TVs to watch. The equipment was nice, too. It was also nice to have 24/7 access. I enjoyed having a screened in porch! The washer and dryer are large, and they always worked well. Also there is a lot of space in the laundry room. I like the sliding mirrored doors, too. They were great for getting ready in the mornings. Things I didn't like: It could get noisy outside, and since each room has a GIANT window, sometimes you could hear people right outside. It didn't make me feel that unsafe, though, because it's really only college students that live there. Parking was bad at night. If you were gone and came home past 8 pm, it was horrible to find parking, probably because a lot of people have people over and there are usually always parties Thursday-Saturday. We would sometimes get random overage charges for electricity or water (though it was usually electric). That said, though, we probably only had that happen 2-3 times in the two years I lived there. They seemed outrageous at the time, and the weird thing is we usually got them when we weren't in the apartment a lot (ex: over Christmas break and we all went to our parent's houses, the first month we moved in, etc.) but it didn't happen often. Just be mindful and aware that there is a cap on electricity and water...so be sure to turn off the lights when you're not in a room. All in all, it was really easy to live here. The only thing that would make it better is if it were in a better part of town, but I usually felt really safe. It was fairly well lit in the parking lot, and there are usually a lot of people around at all times. One more thing: One person out of each unit has to pay $5 extra a month for the "quiet" room. I had the quiet room, and I'm not sure how quiet it really was. I know I could hear everything going on from my room, even just normal talking in the kitchen/living room..but I don't know what my roommates could hear from my room. If you have 3 other people you don't mind living with, I definitely recommend Campus Lodge. PS- though it says 4 beds, 3 baths, all units are 4 bed/4 bath (4 bath was just not an option I could select)

Horrible Management, Unclean Apartments Moving In
I lived in Campus Lodge Apartments two nonconsecutive years (2006-2007 and then 2008-2009). I enjoyed the living space, and the room size. My first year living there, I had absolutely no problems except for the loud parties and loud cars (but hey, this is a college town). Moving in and moving out was a seamless process. However, after recently moving out this May, I received a letter in the mail informing me that they are charging nearly $100 for cleaning duties I performed. This was extremely baffling to me, as I went out of my way to ensure the cleanliness of my room and my portion of the common area. I even had my girlfriend come over to help me perfect my cleaning job. I applied Windex on the windows, vacuumed my flowers, applied bleach on the shower, dusted off the cabinets, etc. I could safely say that my room and bathroom looked better than the poor standard that they set when we moved in. Upon moving into the apartment in 2008, we quickly discovered how unclean our apartment was. There were hairs pills, and water marks in the drawers, dust on top of the desk, plastic and Styrofoam pieces under the bed to be certain to name a few examples. One of my friends who moved in to her apartment in 2007 told me that the carpet was completely dirty, as it blackened her and her roomates' feet when walking on it. They had to spend the day they moved in cleaning the mess that should have been cleaned before they moved in. It is ridiculous that the Campus Lodge management does not realize their own hypocrisy. I think it would be a safe assumption that they mindlessly charged most of the residents this year for the cleaning duties they performed expecting that most of them would not fight them. Campus Lodge, I enjoyed living here, but dealing with your management has been unfathomably painful.

Not the best
At first, I was impressed with this complex: nice pool, decent fitness center, good computer labs, free tanning. After living there for 9 months, I wouldn't recommend it. Like another review said, they find random little things to charge you extra rent for: pool view, park view, 3rd floor (aka vaulted ceilings), "quiet" room, you name it. They only have one dumpster that most residents have to drive to because it is near the back of the complex. The rooms are furnished, however, the furniture is not very attractive. In my apartment, the light on the living room ceiling fan doesn't work even after changing the bulb and the disposal keeps going out (after it has been fixed numerous times). The computers in the computer lab are decent. Sometimes the internet doesn't work, and the printer is constantly out of ink (they don't seem to ever have an extra cartridge). The tanning bad is a stand-up bed and doesn't do a very good job. Some of the equipment in the fitness center doesn't work or is in need of maintenance. The rooms themselves aren't really worth the high rent. The bathrooms are tiny, as is the kitchen. The in-room internet is constantly having problems. If you're lucky enough to get a walk-in closet, they're great. If not, the closet is tiny. The bedrooms are also usually near the temperature it is outside, only the living room is affected by the AC/H. The best part about these apartments is the staff. They know most, if not all, of the renters by name. They've always been very helpful.

It's acceptable
For the price, it's a decent deal for a college student. Don't fall for the original low price; They will charge you for anything they can. If you want a ground floor apt and decide that you don't want head lights from cars in the parking lot blaring in your room all through the night and want a "park view", extra $$. Corner "quiet" room (which isn't all that more quiet than other rooms), pool view, top floor apt? all additional charges for each months rent. If you want to sign a 9 month lease, another increase from base advertised price. Don't believe any "stacked stud" wall building technique, because walls are easily heard through, especially within the apartment. There is no way, to my knowledge, to contest any electrical overages they want to charge. Rent checks can clear in record time or take a week or more. Gates to the complex are a joke considering they are usually broken or can be driven around. Computers in the lab seem like they are hooked up to 56k, from 2002 and rarely have clean paper to print anything off. Parking during nights can be a pain. Would not recommend roommate matching. The good parts? It's cheap, no individual bills to worry about. Maintenance is prompt, though they can arrive at inconvenient times (930am on Saturday). Admin staff has always been nice to my roommates and myself. Closets are large and having a private bathroom is great. These are college apartments however, so do not expect what you get to look anything near as nice as the model.

do NOT live here!!!!!
This is an awful apartment, seriously do not live here. At first I did not mind it. The actual apartments themselves are not bad and they are pretty nice inside and the rent is not bad. However, there is literally no parking. You may be saying to yourself "this is not a big deal, I can deal with that". However, it IS a big deal. Sometimes the parking lot will literally be COMPLETELY FULL. A few times I had to park OUTSIDE of the apartment complex and walk through the woods and through a gate to get to my apartment. Also, this is not a safe place to live. Especially since I have to park so far away, I practically RUN to my apartment from my car everytime I get home. You may be thinking it looks extremely safe and nice, but it's not. The gate is broken always and doesn't work anyways. The main bad thing about the parking lot is that they are unreasonable and RUTHLESS about towing. They treat their own residents who pay good money very poorly. My friend came to pick me up and parked at Campus Lodge (yes, he parked where he wasn't supposed to and he is not a resident, get over it!). He was literally in my apartment for 15 minutes as I was getting ready and they immedietely called the tow company. The tow company came and before he had even touched my car, I called the office and they were huge jerks and told him "tow it!". I have had several roommates and many friends who have had their cars towed...200 dollars!! If there was enough parking or visitor spots I would understand, but it is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous! Don't plan on EVER having friends over if you live here, you cannot even get a spot for yourself! Now, I will tell you that I am generally a very patient and kind person. However, THE PROPERTY MANAGER AT CAMPUS LODGE IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.DO NOT LIVE HERE, seriously! She is so rude. I was upset about my car being towed, and even if she disagreed she could have been patient and understood how frustrating it is to get your car taken away while you are STANDING there and have to pay 200 dollars (which by the way I am not sure if that is legal). Anyways, my friend did act very rudely to her, but she responded very unprofessionally for being the head of a huge college apartment complex. She basically yelled at us and told her to get out of her office. The people that work at the front desk are SO sweet and friendly don't get me wrong, I just feel bad for them that they have to work for her. Again, The people who work at the desk and help you sign up or are there when you go in to pay your rent are SO NICE, I just feel bad for them. My roommates and I (and many other friends) have all had similar problems, it is ridiculous.

never again
Read the reviews on here because they are true. The management is horrible. They stuck some random person in my apartment who ended up being a drug addict, and they would not do anything about it when I confronted them numerous times and even had photos of pot and crack lines all over my dining room table. They say they have a stupid sheet that could match you, but they don't even look at it because that girl had nothing in common with any of my roommates. Also, after a year of living here all of a sudden i started getting charged with electricity overages every month, which is weird because i had never been charged before AND i was using less electric than I had been. The place is in the ------. I was afraid to walk in the parking lot at night. Most of the people that crowded the swimming pool and the basketball courts were people who clearly didn't live there and they were really shady. CONSTANT partying. Don't live here if you can't stand listening to a stereo constantly vibrating your walls or floor. I suggest that you pay an extra $50-$100 elsewhere, because the cheaper rent is def. not worth everything you have to put up with

not too bad
I have lived here for four months now. Our garbage disposal has broken a couple of different times, and there is occasionally noise on sat. nights, but overall it's comfortable and quiet compared to other apartments in norman. Our unit was clean when we moved in, and the staff has been polite and addressed complaints in a reasonable amount of time. I would live here again.
