They tried to tow my car when it was literally in the handicapped space for 30 minutes because I was feeling sick and had gone inside ASAP to try and calm down. But there's literally a woman that parks her car there for several nights and they do nothing about it. Why me ? And there is CURRENTLY a car with no handicapped sticker parked in the space as I write this. This is what made me go overboard to expose this location today. We moved in , my apartment was filthy. They made no attempt to clean it and a few days after we started moving everything in , discovered it is INFESTED with roaches. It's disgusting. We've lived here for a month now and we still see roaches crawling around , even though we've done everything to get rid of them. Don't let the low rent price fool you , they use gas AND electric. (Which the gas bill for the installation and 5 days worth of gas was $150). It's not worth the hassle of you're trying to find something cheaper. The only thing I like is the property looks nice and they cut their grass often. I like the gating until it's nighttime , then it's a hassle. When it rains , the power goes off in the whole area and you literally CANNOT leave because the gates won't open, due to no electric. The lady was nice when we moved in, but haven't even seen her since. She gave us the keys , and back to business. Also , our upstairs neighbors are heavy set and they have no sympathy at all. Very inconsiderate.

I applied for these apartment and he leasing agent Ceasor lie to my boyfriend and I as we did everything he asked then decided that after we complied. Told my boyfriend we would never be able to rent an apartment. My boyfriend and I are very up front and honest with what he had asked of us but said my boyfriend lied to him. My boyfriend had witnessed a murder at an apartment complex and was told by the cops to move. Well the apartments that he had lived in are now under new management so there for unable to get a letter drom that management. We told Ceasor that and he said it was okay then told us it was not. So he lies just to get your money and try to keep it. He does not care about you as a person just about the money. With that being said I hope you do not use him. Was in there asking a lot of questions and he would walk away while I was asking then just tell me yes. When in fact it would be the oposite. Please think about this when you go into the office to rent even if you did everything he asked of you you may still not get the apartment. Thank you for reading.

I really did not enjoy my stay in these apartments. Our place was so dirty when we moved in, it was so smokey I could move in for a week. The staff never answers their phone or calls back. We had water leaks from the apartment above 3 times! The gate broke a lot and we would be stuck trying to get it. We received barely any of our deposit back because they needed to clean it and chane the light bulbs, both of which were not done when we moved in.

Okay, my husband and I have lived here since 2012. I'll just do a run through of different things. Only once have I ever come across roaches. I called the office, and about a week later they came and sprayed. Haven't seen any sense. Spiders/bugs... Maybe once or twice. Nothing crazy though. No black windows or anything toxic. Mold? None! Maybe that's Because I'm a clean freak, but I've never come across mold problems. Mice/rats? Never!! Loitering in parking lots? Maybe once or twice, but not in large groups, and mostly kids/teens. Maintenance? Fair! They do not come quickly, but with that said I think they only have ONE maintenance guy. But who's fault is that?? Surly not mine! But anything that needed fixing, was fixed in a timely manner. Office staff? -------! Not trying to hate, but it's true. They seem super nice and cheery at first, but when you do make a call about something... They are just snotty about it. Especially this one young girl named Amanda. The manager however seems to be the only one we haven't had a problem with. Noise?? These walls are as thin as paper. You can hear your neighbor flush their toilet, and wash their hands. You can even hear their phone go off while it's on vibrate. The office SUCKS at responding to noise complaints, and honoring their lease agreement about noise. We've called and complained OVER 10 times!!! That person should of been evited by the 4th warning according to their lease!! Pets?? They allow small pets, and of COURSE they discriminate against breed of dog, which is total BS!! They have 2 dog stations to clean up after your pet which in my opinion is not enough. They do have a nice little dog park which is convenient considering there are a TON of pet owners here, which may or may not need bad for you if you don't like hearing a damn chuwawa barking every 30 seconds. Neighbors?? Let me just say that in the building we are in, our neighbors are crazy. Always fighting, slamming doors. Blood curling screams in the middle of the night. Loud music at 3am. ------ --- throw dons and what have you. Not sure if it's like that in all the buildings. But there you have it. You decide if you think it's worth it!!

The office staff and the maintenance staff are very friendly and prompt to resolve any issues that arise. I feel safe and comfortable in my apartment. The grounds always look great and I like the fact that the property is gated. I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Pests are rampant. A/c units are never adequate to keep apartment temperatures steady. I complained several times about it and they do nothing. Management makes up policies as they go. They keep apartments and grounds by office up and the ones in the back... Fall apart... Do not move here.

I moved in to Coventry Park 3 months ago and love it. This place is very quite and I have yet to have any kind of problems. I've had a few maintenance requests and they were completed within the same day. They were recently updated on the inside and out. I toured their community a year ago and after the updates I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. The office staff is great and always so nice, they make you feel at home. :)

I have lived at Coventry Park, for a few months, and I am not sure why the past reviews were so negative. I do know it is under new ownership. Pros: Office staff is nice, friendly and they always try to help. They are probably one of the biggest reasons to move hear. In the past the office staff at other apartments acted as if they could care less. At Coventry Park, they make you feel a part of the community. Maintenance request are usually done within the day. I have never had to tell them two or three times that things need to be fixed...which has been the case with other apartments I have lived at. It is reasonably quiet. No one tends to party a lot. If you live on the front side you will probably hear some traffic...but it is nothing a nice little fan can not take care of! :) This seems like a safe place to live. I am sure that things happen, but at the same time I have yet to see a police car as a result of some crime. Most units with the exception of the studio apartments have washer and drier connections. The living room is larger than most one bedroom apartments. The dinning room is a nice size as well. The kitchen is not super small so their is some room to cook things in, and the bedroom is about average in size...but nothing to complain about. The grounds are very well kept. It seems like people are always hard at work doing something. As of the time I moved in a person could choose what they wanted to have upgraded or left the same. I really liked having that kind of choice on what to pay for. The people that live hear are nice, and not ------. Some places I could just pull up to and get the sense that it was a crazy place to live. Not a lot of bugs. If their is ever any problem the bug people come once a week. Nice views. Even though it is not a high rise apartment at least their is some space between them. It is not the most scenic yet it also never feels cramped. They recently upgraded the small gym with all new equipment. This place just keeps getting upgraded. Every time I look around something new has been done. I have never seen a company work so hard to make their apartments a better place to live. The location is in a prime spot by a big Wal-Mart and mall. Cons: (This should no way discourage you from renting hear but I have to be honest in this review.) The overall condition of the apartment I got was average. The apartments were built in 1978 so this can be expected. I have seen worse apartments and I have also seen better...but for the price I suppose it is ok. The appliances were "acceptable." The condition of the the apartment can be improved by spending a little extra on upgrading things like the tile and carpet...some can not like the condition of the walls...they were not bad, but I am very picky about certain things. Lack of storage. This is probably the biggest complaint I have. Yes the floor plan is great, but finding a place to store things is a task. The apartments have both electric and gas. I have found that I saved at least $20.00 a month with just an electric unit. The minimum cost for gas is $15.00 without any usage. Paying $40.00 a month for water. The owners charge everyone the same rate for water and so if you are single and use less you will still be paying the same amount as a big family. Of course if you have a big family this can be an advantage. The only Internet option is Cox and Windstream. I am actually paying $15.00 more than I was when I had SBC. This is not that important but still something to consider. Conclusion: I have liked living hear so far. It is much better than places like "Fox Fire" and "Sand Dollar" at 61st and Peoria, I am not sure what the name of it is now. Just do not rent at those two apartments. Overall the value is reasonable. If you are looking for a decent place you would do well to make "Coventry Park" your place.

Coventry Park Apartments is not a bad place to live at all. i in fact love it. pretty quiet, people stick to their self n office staff is amazing. also no roaches... idk how it used to but there under new mangement so they're is a lot of remodeling and upgrades. i have a studio(jr 1 bd room) small but big enough for me. i probably will upgrade to a 1 bd room with washer n drier connections.. i totally think you guys should come by to look at the apartments. for the price u can't beat it. i think the totally upgraded 1 br apartment is 540 a month... u can chose your wall color n i think carpet color or the vinyl wood floor look. only draw back is no fire place... #Awesome

Love my new home :)
I moved in the beginning of this year. The girls in the office is what makes it great. Very nice and helpful. Last year my friend lived there, the homes weren't so great, but when I saw the new updates, it's a HUGE difference!! I wasn't happy with the paint on the outside when I first moved in but they have began painting. It's starting to look good, can't wait til it's done. I'm very happy with my new home and haven't had any problems. So convenient to everything ecspecially since I don't have a car. I love the fact I can go out on my balcony at night without getting bothered by anyone, I enjoy it here. My A/C went out in the middle of the night and maintenance was there right away to fix it. Never had any issue with the maintenance, they are also great.

Not suprised
I started laughIng when I saw this had 0% recommended. I am not shocked at all. This place is terrible. The management is vindictive and harassing. One in particular seems to have it out for me. One maintenance man is wonderful, the other one is the eyes for the management, will literally tattle on u for the smallest things to them and u get a note on your door being charged for simple things like leaving your trash out for and hour. Ridiculous. Nothing you report gets resolved. Especially if they just don't like you. I had problems with my ac many times this summer. Also we have had an ant problem twice and they did NOTHING about it, literally nothing and we have complained. We ended up having to raid our own apt. These apts are run down and they are not taking the money to make sure they have the proper upkeep. I hate them. I have been literally been waiting for my lease to be up, dreading every min of it. Its finally up this month and I'm ecstatic. Yay! I'm moving and never looking back.

Horribly Maintained!!
I had mold growing up from carpet in bedroom and reported nothing done. Still dryed up in apartment. I was bitten by spider and went to hospital to get shot and meds and they finally sprayed after calling 5 days later even though I reported numerous cob webs in last 2 years. As soon as I can move, I'm done. Their is holes drilled in concrete outside my apt due to termites now in building. The wall in bedroom by window started leaking leaving stain spots on wall they finally painted over and caulked outside and fixed leaky window too! You can hardly get the window open due to painting over it. I have to clean the walls and ceiling due to constantly collecting dust every 2 weeks. I can't imagine what I'm breathing in, but was checked at doctor ok so far. I reccommend any place but here.

Not Worth It
I originally moved into these appartments because it is a good side of town, and I feel safe and secure because they seemed like a nice place. I have over the last year decided that these features are not worth the high price of the appartment because of all the other things bringing down the value. First, the people that work in the office. This month they didn't find my rent check in the drop box until a week later, and instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt they called me a liar and said that I dated it with an earlier date then I dropped it off. (Keep in mind I've lived here in these appartments a total of 6 years!) Second, they only had the pool open for about half the summer because of changing the drain cover. (Cheaper appartments around town had this fixed long before the pool opened for the summer) Third, the gym was closed down for a while, and now has limited hours instead of being 24/7. (the pool and gym are supposed to be nice amenities that make the pricey rent a little more worth it). Fourth, there was the issue of them not paying for the trash to be picked up. So the complex had trash piling up around every dumpster for over a week earlier this summer. So instead of the nice, safe appartment complex I wanted, I got a dirty, cheap, rudely staffed complex. So Not Worth It

AVOID AT ALL COST
I too live in this complex and have experienced problems upon moving in. Mold in my fridge, ac not working properly, as well as dead termites, not to mention a serious leak in my bedroom that extends the width and length of the entire wall. I have been told that it would be fixed and that the roof was under warranty. Now I have to deal with flying debris across the parking lot because the trash ir overflowing and smells horrible. The entire apartment complex needs serious renovations or needs to be condemned this is the WORST apartment complex I have ever lived in and I just wanted to pass on this warning to any potential renters. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PROPERTY!!!!!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!
If your wish to live in South Tulsa's lasted GETTO, then rent an apertment here at Coventry Park. Those of us who do live here are furious, and discussed over the way the owners and management are runing this complex. On top of having termites in the buidings, the lawn not mowed, the bushes not trimmed, dead trees, and repairs to the buildings,we now have to put up with the lastest problem of having a on site land fill. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, and the residents are FED UP with your business practices, and the I DON'T CARE ATTITUDE from the staff and management company. PAY THE 3-6 MONTH PASS DUE BILLS and take accoutability of this situation and start doing what you were hired to do.

thorough and honest review - many negatives, a few positives
I lived here from the end of 2007 to the beginning of 2009. I'll address some of the major issues that I consider when checking out apartments: Layout/price - I was fairly pleased with the amount of space I got for the price. The layout was nothing particularly special, but it was quite functional. The carpet was nice, and the kitchen and bathroom spaces were ok. I've definitely seen much worse elsewhere. For the rent I was paying, I was fairly pleased with the facilities. The presence of washer and dryer connections in the apartment was definitely a plus. Inclement weather - In snowy/icy weather, there was no attempt to take care of the grounds. I lived on a second-floor apartment, and several times I almost fell down icy stairs. The only attempts to salt or clear the stairs and sidewalks came from the residents themselves. The stairs are, by the way, not terribly well kept-up in the first place. Maintenance - The maintenance here is poor. I had several maintenance requests that went unaddressed for months until I finally held money over their heads. When threatened with not getting their money, the problems were addressed inside of 2 days. When I interacted with the head maintenance guy, he was always professional, courteous, and polite. It seemed that most of my delay problems actually stemmed from the office staff not passing along the work orders. My maintenance requests were: broken ice maker, slow leak in ceiling leading to huge spreading water spot (poor roofs..."supposed to be replaced" after ice storm of 2007, but they said that for the entire time I lived there and it never happened), leaky kitchen faucet, and leaks around the base of my toilet. I did have several of these problems re-occur shortly after they were fixed, so the quality of the repairs was not good. Office Staff - This area is one of my biggest problems with this complex. They just really didn't seem to care most of the time. There were exceptions, but overall they were rude. I hated interacting with them. I usually dropped my rent check into the drop-box to avoid having to actually talk to them. On several occasions I received notices (via a note on my door) that someone would need to enter my apartment that day -- there was never much advance warning. Several times I also received phone calls while I was already at work for the day stating that they would need to enter my apartment that day for something. It was never an emergency, and there was no reason in any of these instances that they could not have given me more advance notice. This annoyed the ever-living daylights out of me. No pest problems - This was one of the advantages for me. I never had a problem with bugs or pests while I lived in this apartment. Parking - A lot of the parking spaces are taken for covered parking, meaning that you have to pay an extra monthly fee in order to park there. Very few people at this complex actually wanted this, which meant that there was a competition of sorts for the rest of the non-covered parking places. People got a little territorial about "their" spots (parking places were not assigned). I was usually able to park fairly close to my building, however. Oh, and people speed through the parking lots. Don't let kids play out there or they're likely to get hurt. Security - My boyfriend's car was keyed several times while I was living here. We're not talking just a little thing that touch-up paint might be able to hide. Instead, they keyed his car front to back down both sides, getting all panels of the vehicle. He would essentially have to have the entire car repainted to fix this. Additionally, the complex boasts a security gate -- which provides absolutely no security as it is usually broken. During the rare instances when it was working, it was a pain because management will only give out one gate opener per apartment, no matter how many people are living there. You were supposed to be able to dial the apartment number at the gate and have it call someone's phone, and that person could then press a number to let you in. This feature, however, malfunctioned repeatedly, leading to long lines of people who couldn't get into the complex -- again, this was only during the brief intermittent periods when the gate actually functioned. Neighbors - At first my neighbors were great. They were quiet, and mostly we just left each other alone, which was fine with me. However, I did experience some problems with neighbors for about the last 9 months before I moved out. First, the tenant who lived below me would blast loud thumping music at all hours. This individual moved out, and a bunch of pot-smoking "kids" moved in. Now, mind you, I'm in my late 20s, so I'm not old. These "kids" looked to be early 20s, and they would stand outside drinking beer, talking loudly, and smoking pot at all hours. They had between 4 and 6 people constantly staying in that apartment, which was supposed to hold 2 (per the lease). The pot-smoking was so bad that I could constantly smell it in my apartment, and I tried not to run my heat or A/C because that made it worse. When reported to management, nothing happened. I realise that it's just the luck of the draw with neighbors, but I was particularly unhappy that the management did nothing to address the illegal activities. Noise - As stated above, I had problems with the noise level from my neighbors. The rest of the complex was usually fairly quiet when just walking through it, so I would say noise level mostly just depends on your neighbors. If you get good neighbors, you could have a nice quiet peaceful spot, as I did for my first few months. Overall, there were several things about this complex that aggravated me. I know that very few apartment complexes are my idea of a great place to live, but this wasn't it. The security and office staff are the major down-sides to this complex.

Walk the parking lot at night before moving in to see what night life is like
I lived in this apartment complex for over a year. My neighbors across the way were trafficing, so I called the police and soon enough those neighbors were gone. One time over a holiday, the air conditing broke and maintenance refused to come out and fix it until the holiday was over. I think it's an emergency situation in June-July when the a/c is not working. Right before I moved out from this apartment complex all of my underwear were stolen from the washing machine from the on-sight laundry facility. I know it sounds funny, and now it kind of is; however, at the time I was dirt broke and couldn't replace them.

tremites
I have lived at Coventry Park for several years, and over those years the management and ownership has changed several times. Now that American Housing has taken over the management has been terrible. The leasing staff are lousy.I say American Housing doesn't care about their residents and it shows. I too have found termites in my apartment and to spot treat is not the solution, every building on the property needs to be treated and NOT just one time period but once a year. Also if they want prospective residents they need take care of the grass, dead trees, 40 year bushes that need to be replaced, and weed the areas that they supposedly planted flowers in.

1st there were TERMITES Termites TERMITES and now it's a Landfill....
1 additional note... I want to say that the 2 girls that work the office (and you know who you are--cuz you're both my girls!!! Get need some positive recognition. They have always been great to me. They are not the ones I hold responsible for my disillusionment with this complex. It must be very difficult to have to sit and listen to folks like me complain day in and day out. Cheers to the office girls!!! Oh ya and Jose and the new maintenance guy are incredibly hard workers... there is just so much to do and only the 2 of them.. I'm impressed that they get as much accomplished as they do!! _______________________ In addition to the Termites (which were never "exterminated" by the way) now we face new torture at Coventry Park. It seems we are now under new management (however the etire staff here is still the same???)... and with this change over in management comapanies have come new challenges. Take a look at what our dumpsters look like. They have not been emptied in over a week... Trash is flying ALL OVER the complex and you can't even see the dumpsters anymore d/t all the trash surrounding it. Also...the pool is not open this season as it does not meet city code. It is need of a "burp" valve on the drain. I have received conflicting information, but as of yet the pool has not been opened and it has not been drained to install the valve... I don't think the complex can afford the valve... When is ENOUGH, enough?? _________________________ I have lived at Coventry Park for a few years now. I haven't been one to complain until now. These apartments are horribly infested with Termites. I have reached out to each of the residents living in the same building and each has now found live, active termites coming from interiors walls inside their apartments. I was in shock when I found a large nest and over 150 termites crawling on the floor walls and ceiling. I immediately reported the nest and took live termites to the office in a zip lock bag. A work order was written up. After a week, no one had come to my apartment to inspect. I went back to the office and was told that the exterminator was "coming wednesday"... He did come, but only to give the complex an estimate. I overheard the exterminator tell the maintenance man that he would give estimates for spot treating and for tenting the whole building. All told it has been almost 3 weeks since I first reported the problem. No exterminator as of yet... I'll keep you posted. I doubt termites can cause any severe disease in humans...but they can ruin this structure and threaten my safety... BUT more than that... they can easily destroy my furniture and other belongings. BEWARE.. if you move here...ask about termites and then LOOK for them during your tour. I'm willing to bet you'll find them too.

Big Mistake!
I would strongly recommend that you take a good look and everything is to your liking before you move into this apartment. We were sucked into believing that everything was wonderful and perfect. The first mistake that should have thrown up a red flag was that they had no models to look at making it seem to a future resident that it was an excellent place to live because they were all full. And the staff is really good at making you believe that. When our apartment was available to look at we were told to come to the office and we would go view the apartment and fill out all the paper work, when we got there they were all ready to fill out the paper work before we even looked at the apartment wow there is another red flag. Then when we were filling out the paper work and they were explaining the rules of the complex blah blah blah they don't mean a damn thing. Some the rules: do not leave your trash on the porch at all; no one abides that one, if your car is broke down for more the 48 hours it will be towed; FALSE the parking lot currently looks like a junk yard, if you park in reserved parking that isn't yours your car will be towed; what do you know FALSE. Maintenance seems like they try but really they are only there for a paycheck. Our sink was dripping and then wouldn't turn off, they said well you don't pay for water but if you really want it fixed we will try. They had to come out about six more times before it was properly fixed. The gates are broken 24/7! We have dead tree limbs laying in the parking lot from one of the wind storms, they have been there for about 2 months. The steps leading up to the second floor are falling apart, they wobble when you walk up them. People park in handicap when they are perfectly fine, they park in places that aren't parking places. I've learned where to and where not to park, because I have gotten blocked in before. By the dumpsters there is always old furniture just chilling might I add a little trashy. Neighbors have mattresses on their patio. The building is falling apart the wood looks rotten and is unpainted in most parts. On some buildings they have fake shutters, but most of them are missing! The tennis court is run down. The pool is run down, the lawn chairs be careful you might fall threw! I forgot the cable issue ... the cable outlet is in one room, one room only can't drill any holes in the walls. But I will say I do like the floor plan and that is it. I'm just wanting you to know because my boyfriend and I rushed into this and now can't wait to move out of this hell hole of a place.

Management is horrable, I've put a deposit down on a 2 bed room apartment and was told that they need look at my current apartment to approve me to move apartments. They said they would be bye wed. after christmas. Never got a phone call, never came by to look at my apartment. I called thursday and she had no idea what i was talking about...took down my information and said she would look at it in the next day. Friday went by never heard anything...i went to the office on Sat. she didn't have my info and was still clueless about my transfer to a 2 bed apartment. i was promised our apartment would be looked at and get all the paper work finished mon. 12/31/07. Never heard from them and now i'm still waiting on them. This is bad management and they need a change at management this is stupid

i have lived here for over a year and any time that it has ever snowed they have never done anything about it. the parking lot looks like a war zone, they dont sand it or anything if you try to leave you get stuck. never once have the put salt or sand on the sidewalks or even the stairs!
