Helpful Staff
I have been at Prairie Ranch for over 2-years I can say the staff there has been very helpful.I was affraid to go inside and talk with them about my late rent, because where I lived in the past you had to have your rent or get out. These ladies offered to help me I was given a list of people whom would assist with my rent but was told to get back with them asap. These ladies help me and they didn't have to.These agencies helped me for 2 months and I have since found another JOB. Most of these rating are probably from some of the residents who can't do what they want to do VERY OVERBOARD...Maybe the staff should rate the residents. Where would you move to[who would let you live on there property if they could rate you GROW UP].Prairie Ranch is far from being a HOOD.Oh and the comment on Tressa did your mother tell you if you can't say nothing good don't say nothing at all and did your father tell you only a COWARD WILL SAY THINGS AND HIDE..If I get evicted for someone doing their Job I can't be MAD at nobody but Myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Find out for yourself
My visit to Prairie Ranch Apartments was a great visit.I met with Tressa one of the managers on staff and just her caring attitude and honesty was enough for me without even seeing the apartment. The property is also very well kept. First impression means alot. This is A great place to call home and the staff members that's their has been there since the property opened four years ago so they must be doing something right. So with that being said before you read all the negative reviews just go and find out for yourself.

I like it here
I read the reviews before I moved in most people like to blame management when they are all wrong...if the managements companys could write reviews about the residents some of them would have no place to live,,the staff has been good its not their job to babysit other people kidds running around and if you going to write something tell the truth. most residents are happy untill management send them a notice that their rent is due and than the are worst of all....and I think whom ever wrote this about the staff is a coward and hideing behind their door,,how many times you paid you rent on time,,or even cleaned your unit,,,i wish the managers could rate you,,,as a resident and look at it like this they must be doing a good job they are still there and FYI-YOU CAN'T STEAL RENT..no one want to go to jail for a few dollars now rate yourself and if you were a believer in god you would find something nice to say its where you live....or just move

The price is a little expensive but you get what you pay for.. the management are awesome.. they do everything to make sure the property is kept up and the tenants are safe and happy. the apartment are fairly new, I have experience any problems thus far. Parking is always available with the option of getting covered or garage parking for a small fee. the amenities are great and maintained. The management provide activities for the residents that are a bonus especially if you have kids

THE BIG NOOOOOOOO
I agree 1000% with the tenant who says money is being pocketed. Even with the covered parking,.. cars are being towed right and left without a warning sticker to inform you of the problem. But I was informed that all parking notice are being sent to the office where Tressa views them and she is aware that your car will be towed. But did you know that there is a program where you can get paid for turning in cars. Theres always something involving money. She is a hustler and I'm just making documentation for Corporate Office. But that doesnt mean the lead manager is in the clear because she has to know whats going on and what shes doing. I wish I NEVER moved here and I'm working on moving out.HORRIBLE!!!The apartments are okay but over priced for what you are getting if you ask me. I'm not cheap but like 2 feel that what Im spending is worth it. All I can say is if you are thinking about moving here DONT or DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! TRESSA should be very careful trying to run a hustle...WHEN YOU DO DIRT YOU GET DIRT!! Slick way of robbery..how sad and very HOOD RATTISH!! I pitty her and whoever else is involved. I also feel maintanence has sticky fingers.

Very Nice
I lived here for over a year. It was nice in my opinion, they were always nice in the office and very understanding when you had a concern or issue. They basically understood that life happens. Amyhow, when I first moved to Grand Prairie, since my sister lived just down the street I wanted to move close to her so when I saw Prairie Ranch I just knew that they were way to high in price because of the way that they lookde but once I stopped by, I found that it wasn't high in price and I loved it. I started out with a 3 bedroom, it was soooooo nice! When people would come to visit me, they would always say how much they loved my place and that it looked like a condo. It was perfect! Then I had to transfer into a 2 bedroom for financial reasons and they were very understanding about that. What was said in that previous comment about Tressa was pretty rediculous and very harsh. Both Tressa and Marivel are sweet! I would say that they are both down-to-earth and very helpful! Anyhow, I had a very serious issue going on in my life and I had to break my lease and relocate to Nevada, they were very understanding and they allowed me to get out of my lease with no penalties or issues! I appreciate Prairie Ranch and the girls that work in the office! Would I move there again? Yes!!!! And, it is a wonderful area.

Make sure you keep both of your locks locked when inside your apartment. Maintenance likes to just walk in at any given time with bogus stories as to why they are their. By state law they have to give a notice before they enter your apartment. But in the hood anything goes!

NEW REVIEW NEW YEAR
Nice apts but not so nice people. Apts are now under new management so we will see how things go. There have been break ins domestic disputes and some loud music and broken gates... but I guess all of this is normal in apts. Just watch your surroundings and be careful. Parking is a total nightmare visitors get all the good parking while tenants have to use visitor parking so it is best to try not to stay out too late. Kids run and play on the stairs, people, slamming their doors so hard it shakes the apts. I would invest in an alarm system and make sure you have renters insurance these are a must trust me..I had to learn that the hard way when my apt was broken into. Other than that they are okay.

More than meets the eye...
I agree with "Trash" this place is not nice, it looks ok from the street until you get near the trash cans and these people can't even put their trash in the dumpster. I've had trouble with the noise and the cops are always being called over for something. Kids that look like they need a job, hang out all hours of the day and night, i wonder sometime do they even have parents. They break into cars and steal. FYI if the cops want to make their quota for the month just ride through these apartments at any given time and you will find someone parked in a no parking zone. Who would want to get into a hot tub full of kids at night. Don't bother to ask management for anything because you won't get it that day and maybe not for a few weeks. Not very organized, will charge you for stuff that doesn't even belong to your apartment, silly mistakes that might cost you extra. Lots and lots of loud kids that have no one watching them. I chased down a 3yr old that had a butcher knife and his momma didn't even know he was outside, she said his 5yr old sibling was suppose to be watching him. I could go on and on but I think you've got the picture. You get what you pay for.

Trash
These apartments have changed over the years. It has too many people hanging around outside. Lots of children running around the complex. My car was broken into and 2 other cars parked in my building was broken into and management didn't seem to care.

Cons and Pros
My experience at Prairie Ranch: I was happy with my apartment unit, and someone did come and do repairs promptly when maintenance was requested. However... One month I got an eviction notice for "unpaid charges." I had paid my rent- turns out it was their mistake, but it took several days to clear up, and I was treated by the office staff as if I was in the wrong until producing documentation that showed otherwise. I never received an apology from the office. Another time the maintenace man just let himself into my apartment while I was at home- unlocked the door with his key and scared me half to death. Again, no apology. After that I made sure I keep my deadbolt on at all times when home. In the summer the pool does not open at the time posted on the sign- it is very random- they have a pool person show up sometime in the mornings to clean, and whenever he is done is when they open- 11:00, 11:30, 12:00.... The office personnel refused to admit there is anything wrong with this system, implying instead that there is something wrong with a resident expecting anything different. So don't plan on using the pool in the mornings. Also, because Prairie Ranch is a tax credit property, there are several inspections a year where they stuff a notice in your door telling you what day that week they may show up- but not what time- and instructing you how to clean up your apartment. They will enter at their convenience whether you are there or not. This is somewhat inconvenient, but part of the reason the apartments are less expensive than some others in the area. Also, I recommend getting a personal garage- they are available for an extra monthly charge. The parking lot has a lot of activity at night. The property is fenced, but the front gate is always open and there are no gate cards/openers therefore this cannot be considered a "gated community." All that said, if you come knowing what to expect (and not expect) at Prairie Ranch, you can still have a decent living experience there. The best part is the location of the property- right at 360 and 20, across from the new Target shopping center.

I've lived here two times
I moved to this community right when the apartments were constructed and had to move for personal reasons. When I returned I was happy to see that the same staff was there. Ones who I felt comfortable sharing my personal problems with. I haven't had any problems except with the teens that try to get in the pool area at night, that problem exists at every community. Management has always been a pleasesure to deal with. I have recommended friends to this community and all have had nothing but great things to say. The management staff has always had an opened door policy. The maintenace staff is quick to resolve any problems that I have had.

Great Experience!
I have lived in this complex a little over a year and I love it! The grounds are kept clean and I have great neighbors! I have had most of my neighbors over for dinner and feel comfortable knocking on doors to ask for an egg or return a misplaced piece of mail (rare in an apt. complex). The management is great and lets you know when you have done something wrong before they start fining you right off the bat. My car got broken into and they were great about it, checking on me, offering me a ride to work, and giving me the name and number of a mechanic. A huge plus is that there is a computer center, activities for kids (so many times kids are scolded instead of embraced), the management is easily accessible at any time, and tenants are allowed the use of the leasing office. I LOVE living here, and would recommend it time and time again. The parking is never too much of a nightmare ( I refuse to park in dark spots after the break-in, but I still have no trouble parking) the apartments are well maintained, and I don't have any noise problems (sandwiched between apts on top and below, as well as to the side this is saying something!)

Nice place to live
The apts are beautiful. The staff are wonderful people, I couldn't ask for better managers. My neighbors are very rowdy and nasty. Besides the two, I can't complain.

Good Place to live
I love the apartments. I have had great responses from maintinace when needed. The managment personal is the best, I have ever had dealings with. The grounds are kept clean. There is one thing I think needs to be attended to,and that is Parking. Parking is undesireable. the hadicap spaces are not even close to the handicap apartments. The visitors get all the good parking and the residents are stuck walking a long ways to get to thier apartments on most occassions...so I do think this needs some attention. That is the only thing I have to say against the property. This is the most family oriented property I have ever seen.

NICE PLACE TOO LIVE
I LOVE THE APARTMENTS. ITS JUST THAT ONE OF THE TENANTS DONT UNDERSTAND THE DIFF. BETWEEN A TRASH CAN AND A BREEZEWAY. AND THE OTHER TENANT DONT KNOW NOISE SHOULD BE KEPT AT A MUCH LOWER LEVEL. BUT BESIDES THE TWO THE APARTMENTS ARE GREAT. THE INSIDE IS LOVELY. AND MAINLY THE STAFF IS NICE.
