Charming, Convenient, & Friendly Staff
This quaint little community is a unique and rare find. The whole staff is beyond helpful, nice and welcoming! My 1BR layout is perfect for what I was needing-in a great location AND at an affordable price. Lakeside is nestled within a super convenient neighborhood in the N. Dallas/Richardson area. I am forever grateful I was to find such a good community to be part of. I definitely recommend Lakeside 100%!

New Raiden but so happy
I'm new to the area and am so pleased with the move! The staff was amazing at staying in communication about the application processes and letting me know what was needed in order to get my application processed quickly. Federico came and fixed the few things that I mentioned at move in and everything is perfect!

Great staff, great location...and a lake to boot!
The assistant manager, Tiffany, is completely amazing. I got offered a job down here and had to find a place super quick and she went out of her way to help us find a place and facilitate our lease which massively eased the stress of moving cross country. Since being here, maintenance has been prompt to address our concerns, the neighbors are friendly, and the apartment we live in is spacious and functional. Stuff just works. No issues. The location is great! Reliable public transportation. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Running and biking paths close by. And most importantly for families, it's in the RISD, so you know your kids won't be left behind. Recommended.

Alot of Character
First off the Office staff is wonderful! So friendly and very helpful. Maintenance is prompt and diligent to service request and are very easy to communicate with . The grounds are kept nice, the lake in the apartment is a great addition as you are able to fish and sit around the water and ever cook out. There is tons of parking available at all times. So far my experience here has been wonderful!

Great location, direct access to main road
The property features two pools, a nice little pond and many ducks with ducklings. Really nice property and very homey. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are willing to do whatever is needed for us to be happy.

I just live here in 1 year. But I see this apartment is really good for family and friends living together. The manager is really nice. She would like to listen what happening to you and then she will deal with it. My cousin is living here for 3 years and she does not want to move to anywhere. The view is really good also. They have ducks and the lake that we can have picnic easily.

Pretty well maintained apartment. The manager and maintenance staff are very friendly. Safety is a bit concern here. Recently there was some gun activities that went on this apartment. The complex has closed the gates after for better safety and also plans on having security. Roaches are a issue in this place, but the staff is very helpful in provide pest control help if you request. Rent is very reasonable. Close to UTD.

My wife and I moved into Lakeside when we first got married. For the price, it was clearly the largest/nicest apartment available. For various reasons, my wife stayed at 3 different apartments on both sides of the complex Key Pros: 1) Staff - Office staff were friendly and fair. I always felt like they wanted to do the right thing and there were a few times when they did things for my wife and I which were clearly above and beyond what I would have expected. a) My wife and I almost moved out and on the day we were supposed to move into the new apartment, the landlord chewed out my wife. When we talked to the landlord about staying at Lakeside, they let us bypass the waiting list and found us an apartment immediately (there is ALWAYS a waiting list for these apartments) b) Once, my dog broke a window. They fixed it for free. They usually charged us for such occurrences, but they gave us a break once and it was very kind of them. c) On more than one occasion, the superintendent assisted me with car troubles or let me borrow a hand truck when I was moving between apartments 2) Lot is beautiful as it has a nice pond on site. It also usually pretty well maintained as far as the greenery and trash are concerned 3) Safety - My wife was home alone often and it was rare that she felt unsafe in this apartment. There were a few creepy people, but overall Lakeside does a good job filtering tenants. Key Cons: No laundry connections in units, but they do have 2 laundromats on site. Neighborhood was not so great. Good thing this complex is gated Heard rumors that sometimes people would smoke pot by the pond. I went over there pretty often though and I only recall one time where I suspected this was occurring. A few other items to note: 3 miles from UTD with a bike lane on waterview the whole way. Wal-mart is < 0.5 miles away In conclusion, the only reason my wife and I left was to buy a house. I am convinced that we were going to stay there for as long as we were renting. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for one in the north Dallas area.

Moving from TX to OR recently. I think I should write a review for a place that I lived for 4.5 years. Details are below, but in a word, I strongly command you live here! Parking: More and more ppls moving in. Parking is enough for everyone, but if you come home later than 5pm, you will hard to find a place very close to your home. Noise: Kids playing in the pool all summer long. If you live close to pool, have to be used to it. Grounds: So beautiful! The lakeview is better than most of public parks. However, because of the water and great nature, so many bugs and frogs. lol Big water bugs (roach) visit your home every week in the summer. BUT this is Texas, every apartment has this issue. I hate roaches much more than average, but I live here for years. So you know other aspects are so great and letting me ignore the bugs! Safety: I have seen 2-3 cars broken by thief. However, as long as you park close to apartment buildings, you will be fine. Construction: Fixture is so so. Very cold in winter, and hot in summer. However, if you live down stairs, and keep A/C running all day (even you are not home), problem solved! DON'T worry, utility is always less than $100 total. That's why I keep A/C on all day in summer and winter. Maintenance: Their repairmen are so handy and nice! I became friends with them! Cool guys! Staff: Staff and neighbors are fantastic! I love them! That's the main reason I live there for more than 4 years.

I have been living in this apartment since 2010. It has been a pleasant experience. All my neighbors are friendly and waives at me. The staff and manager ----- is great human being. They understand your problem and work with you. ----- is an amazing manager, she knows all the people living in this apartment. I have never thought that how much difference can friendly neighbor and apartment staffs can make in your daily live. The trash area is always clean. The plants and trees are well trimmed and decorated. The swimming looks great all the time. The walking paths are regularly clean. I cannot ask for more on the price range I pay. If you go to UTD, this is where you want to live. As a student, it is hard for me to come up with rent on time, but ----- understands it. She have not charge me a dime for paying my rent on fifth or sixth of the month. If you do not believe me, come, and see yourself, how ----- will treat you and makes the leasing super simple and easy. Thank you for all the staff working in Lakeview apartment.

I have lived here for almost 2 years. I am a single mom with two very young children. We love it here. The management has always gone out of their way for us. My neighbors are all friendly and it is quiet. The property layout is beautiful and they have a really nice place where my kids love to feed the ducks, fish and turtles. I have very few complaints about this place. As far as apartment living goes it is wonderful.

Those big water roaches are a huge problem for these apartments. I had them spray continously and was never able to get rid of them and I kept my place clean. There would be days when I would wake up and find them on my tooth brush or in the bathroom tub. I tried caulking holes under the kitchen and bathroom sink myself but somehow they still kept coming. One day I happened to notice a big roach coming from the air conditiong vent, that is when I knew I would never be able to get rid of them. The apartments are old, so in every unit all the vents are connected to each other. The roaches travel from unit to unit no matter how clean your apartment is.

My husband and I have lived here about a year and a half now, and we really like them.Yes, they are older apartments. Yes, the heat/ AC system is pretty crappy, but honestly that is one of the only complaints I have about the place. The porches are huge, and the rent is really cheap. you get what you pay for, people. Julie is wonderful. She has been very understanding with us over any issues that pop up. The maintenance guy normally fixes everything pretty quickly. I guess the only other problem I have with these apartments are some of the residents. A lot of older people live here, and they tend to be very tight-knit. It is normally really quiet for being next to a major road. utilities are rather average, not too expensive, but not cheap either. There are no w/d room hook-ups, but there are at least 2 laundromats on site I believe( I only use the one, so I don't know if there are 2 or 3). Overall, PERSONALLY, I liked it here. Since my husband and I will be making more money soon, we will probably move to a little nicer place when our lease ends, but this was a good place for people on a lower budget who want a little quiet place.

We have lived here for over a year and have no complaints. The management is great and very helpful. I would give it a fiver start rating. I am a tenant, not management. The heat was turned on when people were complaining that it was cold in the mornings. This is Texas and the next day it was too hot for some. Can't please everyone.

I was there last Nov when there was frost on the roof and the management would not turn on the heat. The 4 and 5 star glowing reviews are obvious plants by the owners and management. I'm not sure what the rational was for not turning on the heat as the bill is shared. Lazy, inconsiderate or stubborn? I don't know, take your pick. It is most unfortunate that this apartment complex has recieved a number of negative reviews. I recently moved out of here after almost 2 years and I have to say I loved it. It is a wonderfully quiet community that feels safe and friendly, as well as being in an excellent location (almost direct access to 75 or 635 and just a 5 minute walk to the dart rail). The pools are always clean, the maintenance staff are friendly and helpful, and the entire place is kept clean and secure. Mainly, the apartment manager Julie is an incredibly understanding and friendly person that has been incredibly patient with my personal situation while living there. She has been wonderfully helpful. Don't listen to the reviews against her, they're just bitter people that are used to the old apartment manager (who swindled me out $1000 dollars, I'll have you people know) Julie is a welcome replacement in a quite, wholesome and remarkably clean community.

Lakeside Spring Valley
Don't know why anyone would complain about this Community. We signed up for Apartment living and there are going to be rules for us to follow. I like the fact that the Team takes pride in the environment. Granted we do not live on an urban side of town. But we knew that going in. The Community is very quiet. Several College students live here and middle age Adults. If you are looking for a loud social environment. Please don't come here. As a tennant I don't want to deal with your noise. There are not a lot of children here. But there again when you toured you recognized we have a play ground or a green belt. My Husband and I feel very secure in living at Lakeside. We have been here for a year and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet atmosphere. The management staff have all been here for sometime. That speaks volumns about the owners commitment to our Home.

The rent is inexpensive, in general and for this area. I feel safe here. and for the area, that is a big deal! the staff seems to be pretty caring and attentive to the needs of residents, a Million times better than the last place we were at. The two floor plans we saw, while not huge, felt bigger because of the way the floor plan is. It is SO Quiet over here too; I assume if you are closer to the road its louder, but its nice and quiet otherwise. There are two on site laundry rooms, with tons of washers and dryers In the laundry room.I really like the pond directly behind us, its so peaceful! there is a TON of parking space it might not be directly in front of your apartment, but its every where! The pool(s) are nice and maintained, even if they aren't being swam in(seeing as it was EARLY SPRING AND Raining CONSTANTLY). I really like it here so far.(UPDATE 7/8/12- kitchens are small, children's pool is packed! and tons of screaming kids isn't fun, but its only in the day time when people are at work. I've had a couple things break, was fixed with in the week, its still pretty darn good.) I know small dogs and cats are allowed. UPDATE: Having SERIOUS issues with bugs, Gross! all over the place keep asking to get house prayed, doing it myself and bombing too. They are trying i know, but NO ONE will come to visit me! bugs falling on people while sleeping in the bath room and cooking! I am not a clean freak, but I clean daily and don't leave food and things out to Attract bugs. I spray and clean weekly hoping it will help. i have them spray monthly. I'm very displeased with the bugs
