A beautiful place, with dirty secrets.
I have read the other comments on this apartment complex, and they are very true.
My husband and I tried to get an apartment here, and had HORRIBLE service with the managment. We were put off from approval for a MONTH, and they never called us back when they said they would. After a month of anger, they finally said we could move in, but then said that we could not have a downstairs apartment! After all we went through. We were desperate, so we took it.
We LOVE our apartment. It is large, and perfect for our little family. BUT we had no idea what kind of people lived here.
At night, our neighbors play rap music as loud as it can possibly be played, to where we can hear the LYRICS in our bedroom, until at least 3am. I have a newborn, and my husband works early in the morning, so this is NOT okay.
There are "gangs" of teenagers outside every night just walking around and ignoring cars and curfew. I am honestly scared to go home at night alone.
We keep our doors locked at all times, and do not feel safe at night.
I love our apartment dearly, and I think it is the best price for how large it is, but now I understand why it is priced so cheaply. They probably cannot get anyone to live here!
I feel tricked into living here, and I am not very happy about this whole situation.
As a matter of fact, my neighbors have their music on right now.
I hope no one else has to endure what we have. It is NO FUN when you end up calling the cops on your neighbors because they are disturbing your baby and keeping you awake.
All I have to say is I feel sorry for other people like me who have to deal with this kind of living environment.
I forgot one of the most important parts! This is supposed to be a GATED community! OUR GATE IS BROKEN! It has been broken for 4 months! No one has cared to even TRY to fix it.
Stay away.

Full of Section 8 Recipients.
I have had nothing but problems with neighbors blaring music VERY VERY loud so loud the rails of my childs crib actually vibrate. I have appealed to the neighbors POLITELY on several occasions only to be met with hostility and an attitude of entitlement without respect to the fact that we share common walls. One neighbor actually complained back to me that my cats make to much noise running back and forth. How much noise can a 6 & 8 pound cat really make? My guess is that these appartments are poorly insulated. I have also had several expensive pieces of computer equipment including a palm pilot, router, and a Dell PC less than a year old suddenly burn out on the same day... so something is going on with the electrical here. Also the advertised price on these apartments is much less then what I was told when I arrived at the leassing office. I pay $910. I discovered shortly AFTER moving in that many folks here are here because they qualify for Section 8 housing, these are government subsidized apartments so a lot of folks paying NOTHING or very little for the same apartment...also discovered on the Texas Sex Offender database that there is a convicted sex offender ( who victimized a young female child) living HERE in the building right behind me. Dont apartment managers have a duty to inform the community of such individuals living on the premises?
My children do not even go outside to play because it is not safe here. If you consider moving here take the other posters advice, drive by at night.... you's see what is REALLY going on here. ALso the courtesy officer which is supposed to be available from midnight to 4 am is no longer working for the complex... so there is no security whatsoever.
Also the other poster is right about large groups of teenagers that stand in the middle of oncoming traffic within the apartments gates and act like they dont even see your car.

move here if you want to be around drugs, alcohol, and prostitution.
Timber run has been a bad experience to live in. I moved here two years ago. When I moved in it was a quiet apartment community in the spring area. About eight months after moving in the apartment went through a manager change which at that time allowed section 8 into the property. Now I have no problem with people needing help financially, but when they start to bring down where you live I have a problem. It just got worse. There is a woman next door to me who sits out of her apartment in her car and smokes marajuana and drinks. She played music till five thirty in the morning where you can hear it through your walls. Not to mention that kids hang out all hours of the night. When you drive into the apartment they act like a car is not coming. The amenties that was promised are not available. Such as entrance gates have been broken since almost the time I came here. The workout room closes when the office closes at five because the children would destroy the equipment. This does not help the people who get off of work at six o'clock. Not to mention one of the ladies we talk to said that a child pulled a knife on her daughter for talking to the girls sister. My aunt use to live her but broke her lease because her husband was propositioned for sex by the next door neighbor. When she went to the office to talk with the manager about moving her to another apartment in the complex. The managers reply was they would have to sign a new lease and they were not moving people to apartments until march. All I can say if you want to be around people who have no class about themselves then this is the place for you. But if you are a person who takes pride in yourself do not be fooled by the look of the apartment complex because at night and in the evening it will disappoint you and is nothing but a huge headache.
