If you're LGBTQ+ and enjoy having loud neighbors retaliate against noise complaints by painting '----' on your window without consequence; to be wrongfully accused of smoking in your patio while every other tenant in your building does in broad daylight without retribution; have a leasing office that thinks you're crazy for not feeling safe at their security free complex; to get a lease VIOLATION notice for making noise in the middle of the day (legal time to make noise), accused by your loud upstairs neighbors as retaliation against them; a maintenance man who probably doesn't know how to change a lightbulb talk down to you about a leaking garbage disposal that he didn't think was broken because it worked when it WANTED to; live in a complex too cheap to pay for their own STANDARD cleaning practices on an already clean apartment so they charge you $165 off your deposit; a leasing office crew that can't remember your name because they pay more attention to the fact you're a same sex couple than the fact that you both look different; a leasing office who lies to you about the police department NOT informing them about a graffiti report on your apartment, don't bother getting a police report to prove it like we did because this is the place for you. If you want to live in a complex that advertises a full size washer and dryer, and a 24hr fitness center but doesn't have either; live in a complex that doesn't tow vehicles in your spot overnight; if you're ok with the *no charcoal/gas grill* rule only being enforced on people once they get a complaint specific to them; If you love stepping in dog s#!t everytime you walk ANYWHERE on the property; you enjoy being knocked down to the ground by an unleashed dog while trying to enter your apartment; you want nonstop solicitors and/or flyers on your door every other day in a complex that 'doesn't allow' that; and rental increases every time your lease renews, this is the place for you. If you want to be charged for damaged drip pans on your stove when you literally bought and installed brand new ones before turning in your keys, this is the place for you. If you want to be charged for paint touch up when your lease specifically states that repainting is free on the second year, this complex is for you. If you want to leave a month early due to threats against you, pay your last month of rent while not living there, and still want them to bleed more money out of you for clean out fees on a clean apartment, this is the perfect place for you.

There are many problems with this complex. Upon arriving to our apartment our bedroom smelt like animal pee. There were screws and nails that I stepped on in the main living room carpet. Our toilet is dislodged and hits the bathroom door (their bathrooms are so tiny by the way) not to mention the toilet doesn't flush well and you have to flush it multiple times. Our washer and dryer is the tiniest thing ever and you have to dry loads 2-3 times until fully dry. There is ZERO storage here. They charge you with a 50 dollar cable fee that they do not provide cable whatsoever. Our second bedroom blind was broken upon moving in. You are easily going to pay 1200 a month for a small, zero storage, run down apartment. I can't wrap my head around how they have such good reviews. Our apartment A/C broke and they took two weeks to fix the issue. We refused to pay rent because of this and the community manager Kandie Zitting referred us to her lawyer, is making us pay the rent, late fees incurred, and oh, doesn't even care we lived in an apartment 95 degrees (the late fee by the way is 200 dollars) They only care about your money. She says they gave us a "portable unit" Yes, true, but it only works if in one of their small rooms with the door shut. It does not function throughout the entire house only in the small area its in. Point being instead of helping their residents they want to further push the issue "they won't be messed with" and take legal action over you instead of an understanding that people living in a deficient condition. They are mad that we have a service animal and give you a paper stating you have to prove you have a disability basically even though the Disabilities act of 1990 states that businesses may not ask about the persons liability. Kandie Zitting also stated they would be charging us for not paying them money for it even though the act also states they can't charge fees. All this confusion started with us telling Eddie who was in charge at the time to add our dog to the lease and he said he would before we moved in. Kandie Zitting said she was showing apartments and "heard" a dog. Assuming that there was a dog above her she had no idea. And issued us warnings and violations for it. This was a managements problem with not adding the dog to the lease therefore showing you the run a horrible community. They won't let you move out of the apartment if by chance you are ready to buy a house. They won't help you with getting out of the lease. They just want all the money they can possibly get out of you. WE don't live here because we want to we legally have to stay and its sad that we can't protect ourselves against issues like Kandie Zitting making demands for so much money that a lot of people can't afford for such crappy apartments. The law doesn't help renters at all with issues like these because the purposely put stuff in their lease agreements so when an A/C goes out it doesn't matter you have to pay them money for an apartment that is inhospitable. They should have back up parts for things like this when it happens. Their maintenance guy told us it would be fixed that weekend of August 22, 2019. It wasn't until September 4th that they came to fix it once we threatened to not pay rent until it was fixed. And remember they will charge you almost 200 dollars for a late fee because of this and be inhumane (Kandie Zitting) and say you have to pay that because your lease states so. They only care about your money they do not care one bit about you. You can't protect yourself in these situations they will take legal action against you. Whoever the owner is I hope he would fire Kandie Zitting. They won't let you leave for nothing. And if you try get ready to pay the price. They'll make sure you are miserable and pay every penny. DO NOT GO WITH THEM. By a house before you ever rent especially with Fox Creek. This was not caused by the issue with Kandie Zitting. We hated this place once we moved in with the issues. The whole issue with her is she's a terrible human.

Not a bad place to live unless life forces you to move out early. The cancellation fee is 2 months rent + you have to pay the last 2 months rent even if you move out before then. As the apartment rent is enough to pay for a 180k home, this is very greedy and unmerciful on part of the owner. Making money hand over fist every month already, and then soaking you for the equivalent of 4 months rent when you are not there shows what kind of people they are.

The walls are thin like cardboard, you can hear everything from the person next to you, from someone just walking up the stairs in the hall. People are not considerate about their surroundings especially with the noise level. The heater is super loud after showers, it sounds like someone banging on pots and pans

The complex is clean and comfortable. We moved in quickly with no problems getting the little things settled and fixed to make it the ideal space for us due to kind office staff, prompt maintenance and an easy to use online system for paying rent. This is our 3rd rental in recent years and is by far our favorite as well as the best bargain we have come across for the space we have and the amenities that accompany it.

We loved living here. Right up until it was time to move out. We paid an 1100 dollar deposit because we are young without established credit yet. Which was fine until they decided to keep it all. The apartment looked very good when we left. Sure the blinds needed to be replaced.. but they kept all of our deposit!! The worst people ever!! (Video is of the day we turned our Keys in at the end of lease) they said that the carpet needed to be replaced.

They seem great till your lease is up. The manager is definitely out there to just get your money even if it's not owed. We were sent a bill after moving out which I know is not correct on the amount owed. We were being charged $75 dollars for replacement of the fitness key that we NEVER used because we have a gym pass, it literally sat on our counter the ENTIRE time. The plastic wrap that was on it started to warp, the key pass worked just fine, the plastic was coming off. $75 we are being charged for that. What a joke. If you take that out, the deposit should covered the rest of the $75 that was done after moving out but of course it doesn't. I advise you to run from this place and keep looking. You'll regret it once you move out. Oh also, when you complain of a bug problem and the manager comes and looks at your apartment and just starts ripping sheets off your bed saying it's bed bugs and you inform her you already had someone come take a look and they were carpet beetles, she says oh yeah, we've had problems with those. I'll have someone come spray.. yet she never does so you ask again and she says she will.. yet she never does so you have to pay out of pocket for people to come. Super great place. Hence the sarcasm

Circumstances and another place falling through at the last minute, is why I ended up here. The office staff is nice enough, however that does not take away from the many down sides to this complex. My upstairs neighbors were the worse, slamming doors, fighting, way too many people in their apartment. There were actually nights that I left in the middle of the night to sleep at my sisters house in Salt Lake. The apartments are cheap, the inserts they put in the bathrooms squeak as they are not installed correctly and you can hear your neighbors moving around in their showers and I have no doubts they can hear me too. Smoking is allowed on the property, my apartment reeked of cigarette smoke and I could not get the smell out. They are animal friendly, which is good for some but not myself. Multiple pets in apartments and dogs barking. A lot of dogs not picked up after. The washer and dryer are a joke, extremely tiny and inefficient, and very loud. I didn't run my dryer too late or too early as it was so noisy - I wish neighbors were as considerate. The parking is horrible, unless you have a compact car. I had to park my truck in a very poorly lit area of the complex, that was not close to my apartment. As a single female, this is a deal breaker. Also my "assigned" parking was always occupied by other vehicles. The exercise facility is ridiculously small, with only 1 treadmill and elliptical that are poorly maintained. I have Verizon service and was unable to use my Netflix or Hotspot service as the signal was terrible here. The pool is small and seasonal, it seemed clean enough but I only used it once. I only stayed a total of 18 nights in my apartment from August 15th to November 30th. I hated it here, I have been paying for rent here and another place the last 60 days. Thank God, this is over. Between the rent charges, their utility bill that somehow increased the month of October even though I did not use that apartment 1 day in the month of October or November, you would be better off to pay more at a nicer facility.

I enjoyed the 4.5 years that I lived there. The grounds were kept clean and neat and the pool was nice to have. I enjoyed the quietness of the community as well. Overall, a great place to live, close to shopping and freeway access. I especially enjoyed working with the staff. From the leasing agent (Lisa), to the maintenance folks (Dave), as well as the others I interacted with from time to time. Thank you.

Never again!!! The washer and driers not only fit about 1/4 load of what a full load of clothes would be, they don't work! At first I thought it was just mine that didn't dry properly and then realized all my neighbors had the same problem. So unless you want to line dry you can expect your bill to be crazy because you have to dry a very smallish of clothes 3 times! The dishwasher always leaves nasty residue like soap. I had the head maintenance guy walk into my apartment when I had no clothes on and then berate me for not reading the notice properly. After re reading the notice he wasn't suppowed to be there for two more days. I came home from work and found he had been trying to get into my apartment again. My neighbors have all had this same problem so if you live here make sure you buy a safe for your valuables. The office doesn't call you if you get a package either, so I had a gift from my aunt sitting up there for weeks and didn't get it or get to say thank you. So rude. The topping on the cake here is that they charge you just to pay your rent. It's aroin15 dollars to ph with credit. Card and 3 dollars to pay with check. And you also receive a move out fee at the end of your lease that no on tells you about when you sign it. The only upside to these apartments is the dark haired maintenance guy (you will be seeing them a lot since nothing works) he is super friendly. But the rest of this apartment has been the worst 13 months of my life. Oh and the "gym" is the size of a closet with an elliptical, treadmill, and weight machine crammed together. And the pool is nasty. Just don't rent here. Save yourself the time and energy and money

Currently a resident at Fox Creek Apartments. Overall, I'm satisfied, but there are a few that have been making me count my days remaining here. 1. Dryer doesn't really work all that well. Have to run it 7/8 times (seriously) to get clothes dry. 2. I know this might sound strange.. but OVERLY maintained. They constantly post notices about us needing to move our cars, they are in our apartments every few months for 'inspections' -- whatever that means. TOTAL invasion of privacy. 3. Can't really close the door to the bathroom.. It's so small. When I have a friend of mine over who is pretty tall, they have a total meltdown if they need to use it. 4. Have been washing my dishes by hand for months. Told them AT MOVE IN that I needed a new dishwasher. 5. John the maintenance man was really weird, glad he's gone. 6. Hallways at night are REALLY dark, unless a neighbor is kind enough to leave their outside light on. 7. Man downstairs smoked indoors for a really long time, faculty did nothing about it. He's moved out since. 8. Really expensive to buy out of your lease, even one month in advance. 9. Windows constantly have dirt and bugs coming in. 10. Weird old lady that likes to drink and swear loudly on premises. Avoid at all costs. 11. Police here at least every 2 or 3 days. However, they are usually quiet. Don't really notice their presence unless I'm on my patio. 12. Hipster kids live in a neighboring apartment. There's got to be, like, 8 of them. Pretty loud. 13. Really small and unusable playground. Don't bother with it. 14. Right next to Hill AFB. Planes get really loud, not a place to live if you work nights. Can hear neighbors coming up stairs. Can hear talking in the hallway. 15. Once a police officer come looking for a past resident, and had a search warrant. That was terrible and stupid. Constant LDS solicitors. Never any Girl Scouts. Some men show up every few months looking for some girl who doesn't live here. However. Not a terrible place. 1. Staff is incredible. Have never given me any trouble. Never any negative contact with them. Amy and Lisa are in the leasing office. Amy is new, don't really know her, but I drop my rent off to her and she obviously does her magic correctly since I never get notices. She smiles and doesn't try to make long conversations. Lisa has always been great. Never really see her though. Maintenance people are nice enough. Craig and some new guy. Like that there is little staff. Not a whole lot of turnover. Always make appointments. 2. Pretty cheap, all things considered. 3. Got a nice little pool that IS NOT infested with small children all summer. 4. Washer/Dryer in unit. 5. Keep really good care of the appearance of the place. 6. Clean. 7. Pretty consistent residents. Not a whole lot of moving, which is nice. Don't need to worry constantly about who is living near you. 8. Big bedrooms. 9. No roaches, bedbugs or anything like that. 10. Good water pressure, and the water actually gets hot. (kinda important to me)

Do not rent here! The absolute most rude and unprofessional office staff ever!! They act like they are immature and they are never organized. When I call anytime with a question or just stop by, they are so rude. The need new staff or some kind of preofessional classes. We rented there for one lease term and would never ever rent there again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone!! Also, they give the run aroumnd with maintenance issues and basically say if it's not an emergency, they will get to it. 3 months later they got to it after calling several times. Not good at all!!

If you like having maintenance randomly, for no reason, enter your apartment claiming you called in for service when you confront them when you did not then this is the place for you! Just remember to keep all your really valuable items secured because you never know when one of these guys will just enter a place where you thought you had a reasonable expectation of privacy. Not only that, but after paying your rent in a timely manner for 12 straight months, the staff will be kind enough to place a pay or vacate on your door (while you're actually in the apartment and could have taken care of the situation that day)claiming you haven't paid rent because apparently they do not know how to do their jobs. When you go to them and shove it in their face that they already have your money you'll be given a "oops, our bad" when you where up all night anxious and pissed off wondering if you'll have a place to stay in 3 days. Overall the staff is very disrespectful and unprofessional. I would never recommend you to move into Fox Creek Apartments. They do not appreciate your business and the impression I get having been a loyal customer so long is that they would rather have a bigger turnover of customers than repeat customers. New customers will be more gullible and they will be able to rob you of your money easier, and that's why they are here. To make an easy buck.

I was in a hurry for a place to live and got sucked into a move-in "special" that they had going on. Once they had the leased signed they completely kicked me to the curb. Places in the apartment I didn't have time to check were filthy including a LARGE amount of dirt coming in through the windows, crumbs and dust in the closets, cabinets, etc. The parking is awful if you need more than one space, shady neighbors, buggy pool, tiny fitness center, washer, dryer and dishwasher break. It's not just something here and there that you normally expect in an apartment, it has been hassle after hassle after hassle.

We just moved from Fox Creek and loved living there! Of course there were things that bothered as here and there, but when you live in an apartment complex there are so many people and other things going on around you that's just how it is! We loved the front office! Lisa the manager is great to work with and super nice! The best part about living there is the community feel! It's easy to make friends and know your neighbors (if you allow yourself to do so)! We loved the pool in the summer time! Yes it is on the small side, but it was perfect for cooling off in the summer and teaching our daughter how to swim! We also loved the location! You really couldn't be in a better spot for Layton! You are right in the middle of and so close to everything! I would recommend Fox Creek to anyone! (SIDE NOTE: If you are LDS the Fox Creek ward is the best ward in the whole world! We didn't want to move, not only because we loved our apartment, but because we didn't want to leave our ward! Seriously the best! : ))

Having lived at Fox Creek for 1 year, I really like living here. The view I have of the mountains is amazing. It is also within walking distance to shopping malls and lots of restaurants. Any maintenance work needing to be done was done promptly within 24 hrs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I like the free wifi available at the clubhouse. The pay rent online is also another great amenity. They also offer free cable while keeping the rent reasonable.

WE LOVE IT HERE! Joy and Lisa in the office are awesome and amazing and take such good care of us. Maintenance is great and timely. If your LDS the ward is just amazing so loving and welcoming and the local leaders are fantastic. There are only 2 problems. I have a problem with the fact that some people in the parking lot are just dumb. They park in your spot or double park or park where they shouldn't and make it so you can't park and that is VERY frustrating. And semi trucks park on hill field facing the base right by the entrance and it makes it very dangerous for drivers because you can not see traffic heading towards the base when you re trying to turn out, or people crossing the entrance if you on hill field, it can be very scary. But, that is the only real problems we have. Good neighborhood. Close to i-15, walmart, super target, gas stations, the mall, alot of banks, various fast food, etc..

The staff members are the worst, they were trying to screw us overwith payin g for damages that we didn't do. To future residents pull up the carpet when you move in and take pictures of all the stains on the bottom of the carpet, they will pull it up and try to charge you with all the stains.

We lived at Fox Creek for 3 years and we enjoyed living there. We had to move because our children are getting older and we needed more space. I wanted to thank Lisa & Joy and Bree & Craig for taking great care of all of needs when we lived there. I would highly recommend Fox Creek Apartments to anybody looking for a nice and quiet community to live at. Thank you so much. Matt E. & Family Layton, Utah

Management told me one thing regarding smoking . . . OK. Then, changed their mind, charged me over $4000 for unseen maintenance, and put a black mark on my credit reports when I would not pay their trumped up charges. Whether you are a smoker or not. Be careful of placing yourself in a lease with these folks.

Great place to rent! We originally came to Fox Creek because they are one of extremely few apartment complexes that are not only dog-friendly but also allow dogs larger than 40 pounds and have short-term lease options. As it turned out, we lived there for over a year and a half and were glad we had moved there. The office and maintenance staff are great. What few repairs we had were attended to immediately. Lisa and the office staff were always friendly and helpful. The grounds were maintained beautifully, and dog-owners were provided with conveniently placed poo-bags and trash bins. We really appreciated the way the staff responded to issues, such as dog owners who don't pick up after themselves, vehicles that were parked poorly and obstructing traffic, and noise. And we loved having the jacuzzi and gym equipment available. Also, you can't beat the location. In spite of being within walking distance of a major mall, it's away from the traffic congestion and is easily accessible. We would recommend Fox Creek to anyone!

                                                Very nice complex.

I lived there for 9 months and I enjoyed it. My only complaint if any is that the kitchen areas are very small and the washer/dryers are small and don't wash very big loads of laundry. The employees are extremely kind and helpful. Whenever I needed maintenance they were very quick to get there and easy to get a hold of, I liked that I could set up rent payments automatically so I never had a late payment also. All in all I would recommend living here!
