Better off living under a bridge than here, ITS HORRIBLE!!! This is the most disgusting, ------ and vile place to live. Drugs, crime etc u name it it's here, owned by slum lords and the office staff is a bunch of lazy ------- that don't do ---- except collect rent. I had no hot water the first week I moved in, I've had ants in my apt, the cabinets and appliances all are old rickety and outdated. I have had upstairs neighbors that continue to throw garbage downstairs at me and my neighbors for months without any action from management. My children and I have been approached and threatened with violence, with no help from management or the police!!! The cops get called here so much that they don't give a ---- about people over here. ------ people let their ------ kids run amok all over vandalizing buildings and people's property. This place needs to be shut down or just blown up with all these ------ ----s inside. DONT MOVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I would never recommend this apartment to anyone. I signed a year lease and it's almost up thank god! We have had a tweaker/crazy lady at our door at 2am asking us for matches and our neither at the time who just had a newborn baby and they told her they didn't have any and to please leave and she told them to pull a match from out of their a** (management told us to tell the tweaker/crazy lady that if she doesn't leave then tell her Jaime will be at her door in the morning.... uhm yeah you can't reason with a crazy person and that's really bad advice from the office.). And I've been woken up at 7 - 8am from people yelling and screaming "are you gonna kill me? Am I gonna die?!" And then again the same people yelling that the next week we hear them throwing dishes and wanting to fight people and talking about crack. I have to basically run to my car and run to my apartment because it's so scary here. When we tell the management about these issues they just tell us they are being dealt with but it keeps happening so they aren't doing a very good job. And then when they go to fix things like the balconies we are on the corner and they decide to throw the wood right on our apartment wall so I keep hearing loud thumps (and yes I've also told management about this they tell me it will be taken care of.) But this is the second time with the same situation. The security guards are nice and people act like they listen to them when they are present but as soon as they leave they go back to blasting their music or yelling or just running up and down the stairs. Also our neighbors throw food off their balcony and the other right above us puts his cigarettes out and the ashes land on our patio. He smokes all the time and the smell gets into our apartment. Basically I hate living here and as I'm writing this the wood is being thrown at our wall right now! Just don't move here and if you do then do NOT sign a year lease. Oh and the laundry here is terrible I go to a laundry mat because the washer and dryer ripped wholes in my sheets and blanket. They took about 4 months to reimburse me. I used it one and only once because aside from the rips nothing was clean. Absolutely a gross place to live. I'm sad I live here..

I would not recommend this place at all. I lived there for 6 months and hated every min of it. the place looked like they were put together by a five year old the caulking is horrible the screen door was ruined when I moved in and never once did they fix it! my bathroom door was broken when I moved in. my husbands motorcycle was stolen right infront of the managers building! the washers and dryers are gross poop in the washers tar in the dryers. and worst of all we moved in and started having bed bug problems the bed bugs were crawling out of the walls and it was just disgusting they didnt even do the proper steps to get rid of them. bed bug treaments qualify for 3 treatments in 3-6 weeks they bombed thats all.

Let me apologize ahead of time for the cursing in here. But this place is just that bad. This place is bs i live here and cant wait to get the hell out.....what first.....kids are disrespectful brats run crazy with no control by their parents. Management, oh man they r rude mean hateful n dont give two shits about what is going on. I had reported a neighbor for doing drugs n the smell coming in my apartment n it took me 6 months of begging n complaining for them to finally do something. I had To subject my children to this. Smh and they told me they had to have at least 35 complaints in order to do anything.....maintance, do a ------ --- job or dont even fix your ----. My back door lock was broke i asked them to fix it they told me just put a peice of wood in the door...wtf is that ----. They say no shephards pitbulls rotties ect but just about every person here has a pitbull(dont get me wrong i love pits) but they complain about me having a 3rd dog (all mine r chihuahuas no more then 6 lbs) but my neighbor has a pit they beat n they allow to piss on the out side carpet to where it smells horribly. Both my cars where broken into my friends care was broken into. Drugs, gangs, parties and loud --- ppl ALL hours of the night. There was a lady (grown 43 yr old woman) drunk n threatening to beat ppls kids she was arrested for assulting someone n office did NOTHING. Security comes out when called n tells ppl be quiet but come on does it work? Hell ------- no. Im so sick of this place its ridiculously insane.....DO NOT MOVE HERE. unless u like this ----.

PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!! I have lived here for 9 months and I'm just waiting until my lease is up to move. A few months ago my car was stolen, I called the office, no answer, left a voice mail, no call back. The police found my car the next day entire engine was gone. Let me just say if you have a Honda, don't move to this area. The managers in the office are nice and everything, if you pay your rent on time. When I first moved in here the police were here every night, and they haven't been here much lately, I kinda wished that they were though. The neighbors have constant guests at all hours of the night, toothless, so I'm guessing it's drug related. If your neighbors are "loud" you can hear everything. Young kids outside constantly unattended. Which, bothers me, because my sister looked up offenders in this area and a rapist lives here. I moved in here because it was "cheap-ish" yeah, bad idea. The pool was hardly ever open this summer, which was very annoying, and only on the hottest days was it closed, and when it was open, there were so many people in the tiny pool, that you had to choose whether you would like to cannon-ball in at the deep end, or get splashed by children in the shallow end. Oh yeah, and if you're a woman and decide to take the bus, you will get hollered at or even cussed at by people on the street, I was so scared had to bring pepper spray with me just to walk from the bus stop to my apartment. I could go on and on, just don't live here it's horrible.

Disgusting loud drugs gangs here nonstop I can't believe I live here. Security number is invalid so call police but they don't come very quick.The office manager named Ines -------- is a rude cynical person with no compassion.She kicked me out of office when I told her its been over 12 days since my bath was chipping and I have a medical problem so I have to have a bath everyday.She had a scheduled time set then cancelled it when I told her not to. She wasn't suppose to cancel it cuz I planned to be out of my place for 8 hours she basically said I can't be there because of fumes but I had nowhere to go. She was rude and even got security because she is a wimp. I was barely raising my voice. This place is a complete nightmare for a middle class citizen.

This place is the worst place in universe to live in. Things aren't fixed in timely manner. There's gangs out back all over the place at night and sometimes in daytime. People touch your laundry the kids that are running around have no parents around. One little boy said he can run wild and his parents party all night and throw trash off balcony and he can't sleep. Everyone that I see outside is smoking and there's more then 5 people to a small apartment. Trashy place to live. My apartment stinks and the carpet is gross. My son is almost 5says he hates it here. He hasn't felt safe me also. I want to get out of here as soon as lease is up . Scary living here I saw drug deals right out front and people drinking and partying all hours of night. The only way I can sleep is with a fan to drown out the loud noise and gunshots.Dont live here please

Worse place ever to live DRUG and CRIME FULL!! Managent sucks and are very neglectful and rude its dirty loud and disgusting the maintenance people do drugs and always do a half --- job at everything! Rita the manager is horrible!! When my lease is up I'm out of here and never moving back! Run while you still can if you sign a lease you'll regret it! It's cheap because its ------ you get what you pay for, for sure! Clothes get stolen, property gets destroyed it's not worth it! My entry way is dirty and never clean! Every time I've wanted it clean I've had to call! People are gross, there's always a huge puddle outside of my house that is never gone and during the winter it was frozen over and dangerous! It's still there been there since I moved in!! I guarantee the 1 good review was from someone who works here because no one in there right mind would say ANYTHING good about this place

Run!!! If you are looking for gangs, crack, guns, drive-by shootings, pitbulls, street walkers,rats,litter, car and apartment break ins, trashy people, gang turf wars and constant fight and lots of noise from 11pm-4am and constant drug deals this is the place to go! Access to 48 bus route and I-5 and 512 freeways to get away from the cops. Cops show up maybe after you call averaging up 2 to 7 hours after the crime has been committed and usually won't catch you. Doors are easy to break in. Kids bus stop is located next to drive by drug deal service they have to walk through before they go to thier apartment. Schools are horrible in area. Kids parents never watch kids in area. Swat team shows up to apartments, police patrol and never catch anyone when they are committing crimes and 911 will hang up on you in emergency. People who constantly have overdosed on drugs are hauled away in amublance that comes faster than police. Pierce Transit gas line blew up recently nearby less than a half mile away and apartments where in evac area but no one was aware that it was dangerous to be in area, no one values your life if you live in these apartments. Fire alarms don't work correctly has never been fixed. Parking lot is never sanded in the snow so you can't drive out to the main road that is sanded to get to work in the winter. If you are a party animal this is the place for you becuase they will not evict anyone that commits a crime. Laundrymat onsite doesn't work and they will not fix it or refund your money. Garbage is everywhere and not cleaned up. If you are looking to save money or just have a small bugdet still don't live here pay more to live elsewhere or get a roommate or parents house or live somewhere with a gate outside of it. It is way safer for you or your family to not live here! I would not tell anyone to live here even if it was cheaper. The only thing it is missing is cockroaches and they will be here soon. All neighbors are always loud and no one does anything. I would have moved out sooner but they keep raising your rent so you can't save up that easy to move. These should also have month to month leases because they are that bad. The management is horrbile and does nothing to resolve issues and doesn't care about anything except you paying rent on time. Management will not live on site either. Management will say there is no crime if you ask and will lie to you constantly they only want your money and they do not value your safely.

Horrible

I would never recommend this apartment complex to someone. Office staff is horribly unorganized and very sketchy. Asked for a copy of the lease multiple times and was never given. We received wrong notices on our door every month about our rent being late or us over staying our lease, none of which was true. To receive my deposit back i have had to call multiple times for over 3 months until i finally got a real answer of when i should be receiving the check and what the amount is. Also upon moving in to our new apartment we were told there was new carpet, which was flea infested and took over 2 weeks for them to have a professional come and take care of the infestation.

towed my car without a notice

my car was towed away without putting a notice up they said it was in one spot for too long i wasnt driving it because i had a second vehicle which was better equipped for the winter and i was just warming that one up keeping it in good shape. the least they could of done was give me a notice. when i went in to see what happened they told me they put a notice on the car but i could that was a lie because i would have seen it every other day to 3 days as that is how often i ran it. they also have poor customer service and only apologize if there is a problem. never really try to fix it like the leaking pip i had to fix myself or the sliding glass door lock. also when i put my money down for first months rent and deposit it took a almost the entire month to get all the paper work straitened out and even 6 months later we still had to come in because either they lost some papers we signed or never gave them to us to sign. stupidly we had signed up for a second year because it was cheap and need a place and they raised our rent by 50 buck despite what the paper they game us said which was that we would get the same price as last year if we signed up when we did. overall work apartment i have ever lived in and now willing to pay way more for a different one.

Love this place!!

I read some of the reviews on here and was shocked to see what has been said. I love it here. I have a great apartment at a reasonable price. I love the staff here too. Everytime I go in the office I get a warm greeting, and they are always willing to help....although they do try to give me junk food everytime I go in there! They always have bowls of candy and cookies. Maybe things have changed??? I think so and I am glad to live here.

What can I say about this beautiful establishment....Oh yeah, it's not beautiful for starters. Like every has said, gang bangers, drug dealers, fights galore. Even as I type this up this very minute, a fight is happening as we speak. Only reason why my girl friend and I moved, was because how cheap the place was. Not in about he year and a half we lived here. Car has broken in, car has been hit by what I assume was one of the many drunk drivers. Place has been egged multi times (Our front door and our balcony has been egged four times) When not in the bed room, I keep a 12 guage by the front door, when I venture forth to take my dog's out to relieve themselves. I carry a hand gun with me (No law's are being broken during the carrying of these fire arms. All paper work and mumbo jumbo has been taken care of) It's sad when one has to take a loaded hand gun, just to take their dog out. The staff are actually quick to get to any problems I have. I think it's due to not taking a no for an answer, as well as informing them, that I don't have to pay rent until said problem is fixed. The grounds are barely ever kept up, the grass is mowed every week, but doesn't matter when dozen's of kid's throw trash every where. This place also does not recycle either. A couple of summer's ago I lived in a tent, I have to say....I rather live in the tent then live here. Also can never find parking spot, the apartment doesn't give that whole 1-2 car per house hold. So one person usually has three cars out there, she takes the handicap spot and uses her parents handicap permit to take it. Also on most maintenance jobs I do it myself due to crappy work always being done. I wear a twelve yr old painted this place.

THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE

I dont even know where to start. This place is the nastiest, unsafe place I have ever been in my life. There are people all the time selling drugs, people will be fighting outside all hours of the night till the cops are called, the cops rome around 24 hours a day. If you are out after dark, the police will ask you for your ID and may even ask to search your bag. The laundry facility is disgusting. Kids run around all the time and cuss at you and will hit you. They raised the price of the laundry already and the stupid things dont even wash your clothes. Its not worth it. The office will say that they will help you out whenever you need help but if you are short more than $50 on rent... they are charging you. My work had switched my paydates less then 24 hours before I got paid one time and when I gave them the letter and told them I was going to be late on rent, they said there is nothing they can do because its not a negotiable matter. They are all rude and inconsiderate in the office. The pools are never open during the summer time and if they are, kids are bombarding the place to the point you cant even walk through the gate. My water heater had burst one night at about midnight and it woke me up cause water was spraying all over my closet. After moving everything from my closet and calling the "emergency pager" for an hour straight, I finally just went to bed. By the time I went home for lunch at 11 oclock the next day, they still had not done anything and I left a vm for them in the office. So, I called back and told them someone needs to get down here NOW!! They finally came and werent even going to do anything about it except vacuum up the water that was now into my hallway and in my living room. I told them.. look.. I have a 2 month old and you ARE going to do something about this NOW before it molds. So they put huge blowers under all of my carpet for three days. I have never dealt with worse people or conditions in my life. My neighbors car got stolen and my other one got her window broken for no apparent reason. Never live here it will be the worst mistake you will ever make.

Can't wait to move

Living here has been a pretty awful experience. Cops come around all the time, there are people doing drugs and dealing drugs right out in the parking lot, and of course the fights between the "lovely" crack out tenants that range from 11pm to 4am. The tenants themselves are a disgusting sight, which you will only avoid during your tour. They make the place look absolutely lovely for future tenants with promises that they do everything to keep the place safe. In the time I've lived here there have been four robberies, preformed by other tenants! Which of course were never handled. Hell they attempt to rob one apartment while the guy was in the bathroom! They completely broken down an apartment door and robbed another apartment, while the other "lovely" tenants pretended to "work on their cars." People around here are so ------ they will watch you get robbed and not say a damn thing. Oh and those cars they are working on are usually stolen or a lovely cover to deal drugs. The staff is a whole other issue. I swear the only reason they have an office is to collect rent and to dupe other people into living there. Need something fixed? Issue with crime? Tenant issues? Sucks to be you, they are not here to help. I would not recommend for anyone who likes their possessions, doesn't enjoy the constant smell of pot and isn't a fan of ------ moron fights to take up residence here.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Where to start? The noise in every surrounding unit is HORRENDOUS. Day, night, it doesn't matter the other renters are rude and inconsiderate and the noise is non-stop due to that. The grounds are maintained, but nothing special - I might know more about the grounds if I felt safe enough to walk them, unfortunately there is constant screaming and fights taking place as well as drug deals and prostitution. At least 3 days out of the week there is a cop parked in the parking lot for the night. Kids around here are unsupervised and treat the parking lot like their own personal playground. Upon moving in we learned that there have been multiple shootings in this very complex, and I certainly believe it as on more than one occasion I have woken up in the middle of the night to fights taking place right outside my window; this happened on the very first night we were here, and I was terrified. The carpet is falling apart, the paint job is glopped on, the baseboard heaters are literally falling apart. I'm pretty sure that this place wasn't cleaned before we moved in, the carpet felt sandy and there was urine on the toilet seat. The smell in the area is terrible - whether this is Tacoma in general or the massive dumpster/compactor right by the building, I don't know. Also, before we moved in they showed us a unit that was in acceptable (note: ACCEPTABLE, not good) condition, but then moved us in a unit that was just falling apart. I absolutely cannot wait for our lease to expire, I am OUTTA here as soon as it does. If I had not been under pressure to find a place immediately I would never have chosen this place. I would never in a million years recommend this place to ANYONE, no matter how cheap the rent is. I cant wait to live iN a place where I don't have to worry about being shanked when I walk from the car to the apartment. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Apart from anything else, is a good place to live

I've never had problems in the Woodmark. Only I live on the third floor and I have a child with a disability and the lady on the second floor if they complain some kind of noise. The office staff are very friendly. It is true that people are selling drugs and when I moved killed one person but that you see everywhere. Beyond that, I never had any problems. I move here just because I need washer and dryer, is the only thing. For the rest don't worry because you just have to live your own life, and not to others and will never have problems.

I am Scared to live here

like most people moving in her I moved in because rent was cheapish. Once I moved in the staff became not friendly anymore to me , Rude and hurried when I put in requests for work to be done in my apartment. The drug deals outside or the people fighting is scary to me being I am a single mom. I have tried to talk to the offiece staff and found them rude to me cant wait until my lease ends

The worst place ever!!!

I've lived here a year and am excited to move. The best part about this place is the beautiful trees. Management does nothing for the renters that pay on time or way before rent is due. They tend more to out wonderful prostitues and drug dealers. My favorite part is last summer we had off duty cops here and Woodmark couldn't pay for them to stay. The management has been very snotty almost belittling us just because we live here. If I knew this area better I sure would not of chosen this place. I've seen men beat up their female companions, shootings, drug deals going down right in front of our windows, prostitues, kids opening up the dryers while other peopls clothes are drying. And my favorite dogs out on the balcony taking a dump or peeing, or just peeing going down the steps. MMMM the smell I thought the aroma of Tacoma was by the dome not Woodmark apts. And there are some inconsederate renters as well. I will never give recommendations no matter if they pay 200.00. GEt real you suck. Hopefully th owners will open their eyes.

My review of The Woodmark Apartments

Best part is first, grounds nicely kept, staff is very nice and professional, rent is cheap now for the Bad Part I find it Terrible and that is what attracts the bad environment, Since I have been here in almost 7months there have been 2shootings right outside my apartment, there are drug deals day and night, very noisy no matter what time of day, kids throwing rocks at one of my neighbors taking out the trash, kids unsupervised all the time/running on the washer and dryers in the laundry room-most of the time is very dirty, I would never reccomend to anyone
