La Privada is a beautiful apartment complex. I loved how spacious the rooms are. Skye O'Grady took me on my tour and was very professional, knowledgeable, and sweet. Excellent customer service all I want in my new home I'm so excited to sign my lease.

Just recently rented an apartment here at La Privada. Me and my Husband love the whole atmosphere here and our neighbors are really nice. I didn't really want to move into the second floor but from what I am hearing the utility charges aren't that bad compared to the first floor so we will see once I get a few more bills. I absolutely love my apartment although, it is very charming in here and the brick walls really help with my bad decorating skills lol!! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or family member. The property is always kept very nicely and I feel like I am in a neighborhood in a house rather than an apartment community. The office staff is always very welcoming and is always there to listen to my concerns with work orders or anything else that comes to mind. If you are looking to move to scottsdale this is the place to be!!

I've lived within this community for 2 years and the current staff is the best I've dealt with on a rental property. It starts with the Manager Kristy; she has aggressively upgraded the property and its amenities while Kaity, Nichole, and Sherrie provide top notch customer service with a smile and respond to all question and concerns within a timely manner. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant apartment community staff.

I recently just moved to this property from California and I can honestly say this has been the easiest transition/move I have ever dealt with. The leasing office staff was very prompt and professional when dealing with our applications. Kaity, Tonya, and Natalie have been more then helpful with everything on this move and on top of giving us the run down on Scottsdale/Phoenix area. The complex is beautiful and very open, on top of that our apartment is the same way, definitely a place to call home. Another plus is the park across the street which sold me on moving to the property. I look forward to living here for next 9 months and would recommend La Privada to anyone moving to the north Scottsdale area.

I lived this apartment around 5 years and I am happy with apartment. This year office staffs are the best team except one person. Still they are really kind and caring. Also maintenance team is great. Phil, the head of maintenance is a nice person who really helps. Though sometimes slow but they do what they have to do. As long as current rent is maintaining, I have no plan to leave out of this apartment.

We recently moved into a two bed room second floor apartment at La Privada. The community is very private and quite. Excellent customer services provided by Katie and Natalie, overall the front office and maintenance staff is prompt and friendly. We strongly recommend others about leasing at La Privada.

If you dont mind paying for high electric bills in the summer like 4 to 6 hundred a month then this is the place for you. No insulation brick walls that are painted brown don't cut it in Arizona .My walls are radiating heat into the rooms . If you dont mind sleeping in hot bedrooms then its the place for you ,yes there are some rooms you can not cool down even if you turn the air down to 50. It still stays above 80 in certain rooms. I have talked to people with brand new air conditioners that were put in and it dident help keep up with the heat in july and august. Alot of the Air conditioners are from the 1980's when the place was built and have a seer rating of 8 not exactly energy efficient. The windows are all single pane with no sunscreens .Numerous people move in then move out shortly after one summer (high electric bills) and being able to hear everything your neighbor does above you especially. Maintenance is slow and management is fair and consistent but i feel the real problem is the owners of this complex or whoever is at the top , there are solutions to the same old problems at Laprivada especially the cooling problems in the summer till then its pure INSANITY (doing the same thing in the same way and expecting different results)

This is the worst place is have ever lived!!! I am currently living here now and I have had so many problems with my apartment. First when I moved in our apartment was filthy! The walls were covered in black hair and our carpets weren't cleaned and had stains all over them. I told the leasing office our problems and they said they would have someone come clean our place. It took 5 weeks before anyone came!! The cleaning lady cleaned our floor with a dirty mop and tried cleaning our vents with our bathroom wash rags. Then our loft had a few inches of dust on top of it and when that was cleaned they used a vacuum so the dust went all over our apartment. I spent 3 hours cleaning after the cleaning lady left. A few weeks after that my sister found cockroaches behind our cabinets in our kitchen. We took the drawers out and found filth all over the floor! It was disgusting! The management is also horrible here and is very hard to deal with. I would never recommend anyone to live here!!!

Impossible to keep the bedrooms cool! We sleep in the living room every night. 85-90 degrees air temperature with the air conditioning on maximum. The brick walls are too hot from the sun. If you have a west facing wall and a second floor apartment, you will be in this kind of trouble. Many other neighbors have the exact same problem. The management are OK overall, but they will not warn you! Otherwise, nice community.

When looking for apartments I generally do not pay much attention to reviews that say the management team is not good. However, I learned my lesson. Lack of common courtesy has made our experience here very unpleasant. We have continuously been treated as if we are bothering the staff. I would expect an apartment complex that costs as much as La Privada to address issues. My experience has been very similar to the review placed 05/31/2013.

This had been my favorite place I had rented until new management took over. The new management does loud construction without any prior notice starting at 7am and continuing all day. It seems as though a notice would be simple. Also, I had multiple maintenance issues that were never addressed. For over a year I would continually ask for help, and none would be given. Specifically the neighbor underneath us was such a chain smoker the smoke came up through the bathrooms and laundry rooms, but La Privada would not investigate even though I could see some of the insulation was just packaging tape. They were even informed of the birth of my premature baby, and the dangers second hand smoke had especially for preemies, but they still refused to make any changes. My refrigerator was propped up on cardboard. The pool is cloudy off and on (a sign of ineffective chlorination). Now that I've moved out they won't tell me how much I owe! It seems incredibly shady that they won't give me a bill by the 30th, but request rent on the 1st. The office staff, especially the woman, is not only impolite but cruel. I would never recommend this place to anyone, which is such a shame because it used to be so wonderful. Also, my car was broken into and robbed of all my nursing supplies, and lap top for school.

Beware. Whenever you see reviews where management comes out glowing, its management writing the reviews patting themselves on the back. Read the bad reviews and take those seriosly. Those people have no motive to lie.

I moved into La Privada last June, right after they were taken over by new management. At first, I was very discouraged by this changing of management because many things we were promised we now suddenly couldn't have, and I almost didn't sign the lease. However, the new management worked with me to make a compromise and worked out the aspects of our lease. The management has been nothing but helpful when I have to deal with them, which I admit, is rather rare. I have had a few maintenance issues, but they have ALWAYS been dealt with as quickly as possible, which I greatly appreciate. There is plenty of guest parking. You can occasionally hear your neighbors above you, but that seems typical in an apartment setting. My only complaints are that most of the tenants are significantly older than I would prefer and that we have had a couple of days/incidents where construction work seemed to be done at what I felt was an inappropriate time without any advanced warning. EXs: My apartment unit is right next to a "wash" or drainage basin in the complex. A large tree fell down in there during a storm and guys were cutting the tree to smaller pieces with a chain saw at 7:30am on a Sunday morning. :/ The second example was of them fixing up the apartment above us. It was a very noisy all day affair on a Saturday and one night went late (10pm) into the evening. There is also a weird gulug-gulug machine outside of my bedroom window. It only goes off when it rains (thank goodness we live in AZ)! I'm not entirely sure of it's purpose (I think it's some sort of rain drain), but upon complaining to the front office they unplugged it. Other than that, my husband and I have really enjoyed living at La Privada and haven't had any major issues except for the few random examples listed above. The layout for the apartment is very open and spacious. You'll be hard pressed to find somewhere with as good a use for the floor space. The closets are large. The bathroom is open, (you don't have to worry about the door hitting you while you're on the toilet), the kitchen has LOTS of cabinet & counter space, the living room/dining room is huge, and having a washer & dryer in the apartment is amazing! I wish La Privada was located farther West and we would stay, but unfortunately my husband got a new job and the commute is just to long from here.

TWO reviews exactly the same starting with "I am a current resident and this is not a fake review" ??? Seriously? I have mailed a snail-mail letter to AppartmentRatings.com asking to look into the IP addresses of these bogus ratings. I used TO live here and WOULD NOT AGAIN. My son was accosted by an elderly lady for walking in our own front yard, dogs barked and woke us up at 5am each morning, we had problems with the water bill, our AC kept breaking, we were overcharged and our apartment was way more outdated than our neighbor's apartment in the same complex who paid way less than us. If you care about dings in your car, do not park it here - anywhere.

I'm a current resident, and this is a real review. The complex is a very nice and quite place. I've been here for a couple of years and have seen this place change since the new owners are here. The location is perfect, and is in the heart of everything I need. I love playing volleyball and running, so having Scottsdale Ranch Park directly accross the street is perfection. My only wish is that the owners make the place a bit more attractive toward the younger crowd. They have a lot of monthly events for the tenants, however, it appeals more towards the seniors. The tenants are nice though, everyone is always saying hi to eachother. The office staff is very nice. Eddie and Krista are a perfect team and asset.

I am a current resident and this is not a fake review. They have apartment rating cards they have setting on the desk for everyone that would like to post a review. I have lived at La Privada for 6 years and I do love my apartment and just renewed yesterday. They have been through some changes over the years but they are good. I do agree with what someone posted that is was a bit rough in the beginning but is much better now. No apartment is going to be perfect but it is a place you would be happy to call home. I just wanted to post that I like the staff- office and maintenance and my apartment. After you look around at all the apartments in the area this place is different from the others. Are there senior citizens-yes but it is quiet and very nice place to live. For the negative poster you must not like to abide by the rules.

I have lived at La Privada since 2008 and I can honestly say I love this place and I am proud to call it home. The property is always beautifully manicured and the grounds are as clean. The maintenance team is excellent and always do more than expected. Recently there has been a new management that has taken over the property and it shows! The customer service in the office is excellent; friendly staff to assist with questions or problems. They actually apologize when something goes wrong and gets it fixed right away. If you are moving to Scottsdale and need an apartment La Privada is where you want to be!

I moved in a few months ago, and I must say I really love it here. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the maintenance guys are on their game. The newly painted buildings look great too. I would definitely recommend La Privada to anyone who is looking for an upscale property in Scottsdale.

I truly recommend this complex for anybody! My boyfriend and I have nothing but the best things to say not only about the location but especially the staff. Anytime I go to the office the staff always has a smile on their face and are always more than willing to help me with anything. The location is absolutely gorgeous and everyone around is very friendly. La Privada staff has definitely made my life a whole lot easier by accommodating every need I have. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be working with and loving with!

I am very happy living in this luxury apartment complex because of the professional Staff, the excellent maintenance crew, the exceptional bountiful landscape, the attention to aesthetic detail of the owners and the feeling of safety living here in the heart of Scottsdale Ranch. I have lived here for 3 years and I have had no complaints and I am a person accustomed to living in my own home so apartment living is new for me. I absolutely recommend LA PRIVADA as a lovely and well-run property with Krista, Eddie and Todd as a first rate management team.

I have lived at La Privada for six years now. There have been several owners during that time period.I must say that when these current owners took possesion there was considerable turmoil. I don't know if they were temps or what, but the management team in the office was out and out offensive and disrespectfull to the tenants. Recently however, the powers to be have come to their senses and replaced the original staff with true professionals. Christa, the new property manager is outstanding! She not only is personable and friendly, but she actually cares and reacts to concerns and suggestions of we the tenants. Eddy and Todd follow in that category as well. Recently another of the staff left, that only leaves one of the original staff members to go. It has been interesting to see Christa's influence and handprint on this community since she arrived. La Privada has once again become a warm, friendly and enjoyable community to reside in!

I have lived at LaPrivada since 2009 and am very happy with my living experience here. We have nice friendly residents year around and community activities for all. We recently have had a change in management which has made La Privada a much more enjoyable place to live. Our new manager, assistant manager and leasing manager are extremely professional and always there to help the residents with all of their problems and concerns. The cheerful attitude of the office personnel makes a happy and secure place to live. La Privada has a new maintenance spervisor that runs his department very well. The maintenance crew is efficient kind and trustworthy. They are always there to help the residents and take care of all repairs and problems in a speedy professional manner day or night. La Privada is my first experience in apartment living and I am extremely happy!
