Great place to live

I have now lived in 6 different apartment communities, and this one is by way far the best. The apartments are beautiful, spacious, and not cheaply made. They are also unique, unlike every single other community here. Where else will you find brick walls and woodburning fireplaces? The staff here is excellent, unlike many other apts I have lived at. These are great apartments, and if I had one complaint it would be that there is no storage...but if that is the worst you have to say about any place around here, that´s a pretty good apartment. I would recommend these to anyone, and whoever makes those other complaints has too much free time and should go live on an island somewhere. We don´t need you useless picky people here.

Old People Complain A Lot

Okay, let me give you the truth here. La Privada has a LOT of senior residents. They have a distaste for young people, and not a whole lot to do with their time except photograph dog poop and -god forbid- bikes near, but not near enough, an apartment door. <br> <br>I´ve lived here for a year now and love it. The apartment is big and spacious and beautiful. The staff is always friendly and accomodating, and I´ve never had any problems. There´s tons of parking. And there´s a great park right across the street. I know there´s some dog poop on the ground, this happens anywhere you go unfortunetly, and those dog owners are irresponsible. But groundskeepers usually pick it up w/in a few days, and the world keeps on turning. <br> <br>If you want a nice, comfortable, affordable, and quiet apartment, this is the place. I would highly reccomend it. And just ignore those people who have too much time on their hands and need to find something to complain about! Life´s too short to be that bitter I say.

The truth of it all...

I´ve seen the negative reviews listed here for La Privada and frankly they upset me. I think they are not only untrue but extremely unfair. This is such a beautiful place to live! I have lived here for almost three years now and I cannot imagine moving. I´ve dealt with the staff on several occassions and have always been dealt with competently and fairly. It´s nice to walk into an office where they recognize your face and actually know your name. This property is spread out with big beautiful trees. There are entrance gates that are closed at night which only add to the quiet atmosphere. All you need to do is drive through the community to see that the bad reviews that were given were nothing but a pack of lies given by spiteful people.

Poorly managed

The reviewer showing the photos of dog dirt is correct. This place is has truly gone to the dogs. If you like the smell of dog dirt during the day and dogs yiping and barking all night, then this is the place for you. It´s gotten so bad, none of the management live here anymore. They all moved out and can´t wait to leave each day. And as far as the size limit they tell you about, forget it. There is a great dane two doors down, and the owner never picks up after him. This place is disgusting, 20 years old, and very unhealthy !

A gorgeous resort style atmosphere.

The landscaping is breathtaking.These apartments have a neighborhood feeling to them. The homes are spread out and there is plenty of room to walk, bike and the park is just across the street. I live in a two bed two bath apt and love the high ceillings and brick walls. There are so many windows that my home is always bright and cheery!

I love living here! If your looking for a place to call home this is it. I live in a two bedroom with my two dogs who also love calling this place home. It is very peaceful and the very lush landscaping provides the perfect atmosphere for long walks.

Live here and love it!

I live in a 1600 sq.ft. townhouse at La Privada. It is very spacious and the neighborhood is very quiet. Even with our big apartment our electric bills are staying below $150 in the summer. The maintenance and office staff couldn´t be more helpful. And across the street is a great park. We will definately live here until we buy a house.

Beautiful community with wonderful service!

This is a beautiful community. Lots of greenbelts and great landscaping. My work odrders are always done on time and the office staff is wonderful. Don´t get me wrong the rest of the staff is great-that´s why we have stayed. Oh and the apartments are beautiful inside.

Extremely nice neighbors

The buildings are made of stone/block, so they are very sound proof. But the block also holds in heat in the summer and cold in the winter. Our electric bill has been over $200 in July/Aug. The neighbors are all very nice, the office staff has been great. My daughter was able to walk to school this year (5th grade).My only complaint, other than cooling costs, would be that the pool/hot tub area closes at 10PM on weekdays, 11PM on weekends. They repaved all the blacktop, and I think it was smoother before, but it looks nicer. From a distance anyway.
