Very Noisy! Management sucks!

If you thinking of living here....don't even do it! first of all is over priced, second of all this is supposed to be peaceful community...which is not, break ins, theft..happening, gate is broke most of the time, people is always loud after hours....bangin on floors, walls too thin...management is sucks!!! they don't do ---- about this...no matter how many times you complain....this place is HELL can't wait to move out!!!!! please just a reminder, just find somewhere else, if you don't like dealing with problems like this...!!!

Over Priced. Very Rude and Bad Management.

We moved here because of the beautiful location. But management's attitude and rude behavior has constantly made me regret the decision. Management is the most ridiculous I have ever met. One manager (that you would deal with most of the time) has no sense of courtesy towards the tenants. Most of the time if you ask them something they would give you an answer thats most convenient to them (irrespective of whether thats correct or not) and make it sound like thats the law or thats the company policy. Recently they hired a towing company to tow all cars from the parking lot for re-doing the asphalt work (which btw was in fine condition, so dont know why they needed to do that). My car was damaged in the process. When I took the matter to the management they had the usual callous attitude of "not our fault", "you need to deal with the towing company". Not only that, they made me pay for the towing charge. I tried to reason with them that since my car was damaged in the process and the towing company was not paying for the damages, the least that the management could do was to not ask me to pay for the towing charge. I told them I need time to think whether I should pay that charge. The result: they served me with a notice to quit in 3 days if I did not pay the towing charge. If I was single I would have quit immediately. But I have a family to take care of...can't move them is 3 days notice !!. Imagine, I had to pay the towing company (for damaging my car!!). I agree with others that the wall heater is a joke. Construction is poor in a lot of areas (my bath tub squeaks when you stand in it). Also it is difficult to get anything done from maintenance. The people in management office don't want to deal with any maintenance issues. They redirect you to call the maintenance call-center. Even in emergency situation they wont help you. They would tell you: "we do not have contact numbers for maintenance people, we cant tell you why they have not responded to your emergency toilet plumbing situation yet". Thats so ridiculous and untrue. since the maintenance people are on site employees so its not possible that the manager on-site would not know how to contact them during business hours.

Stay away!!!

So far, we have given these people close to $20,000 in rent. It makes me sick to pay them rent every month and that we are stuck here until our lease is up in a couple months. I think I liked it here so much in the beginning because we came from an even bigger craphole but at least that one was priced correctly. Plus, you have to PAY EXTRA for water/garbage/sewer. So it's like you pay $70 on top of the rent!!! The minute we started putting away our things, we realized that the cabinets and closets were ridicoulsly small. The first week my toddler was bitten up by fleas inside the apartment. Probably from all the damn cats in this complex roaming around. Our kitchen sink disposal is always breaking and I have to call maitenence like 3 times before they finally come to fix it. Meanwhile I have dirty dishes piled for days. We've had a waterleak in our hall closet which caused black mold to grow. They tore out the carpet in there and cleaned up the mold but now there is no carpet. They never came back to fix it. The dumpsters are always full and you always see dumpster divers scrounging around in the garbage. There have been cars that have been vandalized and the stereo's stolen from the parking lot of this supposed gated community. The pool was advertised as heated but it's always ice cold when I take my two young sons in there. One tenant told me they have to all call and harrass the management every year to turn on the heat. The good things? The layout of the apartment is nice, its a lot newer than our last place, there is a great sized washer/dryer in the unit, the windows are double paned, and the appliances in the kitchen are updated. We can't wait to get out of here. Way too over priced!!!

Very noisy

I concur with other review/complain about the noise. First I thought my upstairs neighbors are ridiculous noisy, but now I'm sure the building floor is very poorly constructed.

Maybe we just got lucky??

I moved in here 7 months ago and am on the 3rd floor facing the SE. We have a panoramic view (unobstructed) of the Mission Peaks and Lake Elizabeth. I work from home so I know there's not much noise, and maintenance has been responsive to the few requests we've had. Oh yeah, location is perfect. Right across the street from the police station and a huge park with a lake. I know that reading through this site will drive you mad because there are negative things written by angry residents about each apartment complex. After all, why would someone that is just content with an apartment bother to write anyway? I firmly believe that they won't be happy until they get a house. (now is the time!) The two things that have bothered me so far: Break-ins are a reality here. Don't leave anything in your car to bait the Fremont crack-heads. The second negative thing about this complex is Fremont itself. I came from Walnut Creek where you could just walk around a nice cozy town with shops and restaurants. Fremont has no downtown to speak of and has zero charm. Did I mention their buses sound like jet airplanes? There are some gang problems and shootings on the other side of town, and I keep getting asked for money by the same crack-heads each time I go to the store. (it's bad here) So all-in-all if you are commuting and you stay within the immediate area you'll enjoy this place. Just be sure to pay the premium only if you're getting a 3rd floor corner apartment.

not worth it

I have lived here for about 4 months and can't wait to get out. Too expensive. Not a gated community....the gates are usually opened and people can just walk around the gate to enter the community. I live on the 3rd floor and can hear the people next door and under me. Parking is always a problem. Spiders are a HUGE problem. Not worth the money at all

No Privacy or Safety

I totally agree with some of the recent reviews. Very noisy here, not worth the money. I live on the ground floor and could hear tenants living on the second level going to the bathrm, flushing the toilet and even closing the closet (not mentioning hearing those LM noises). Very very poor construction. Gated community is safer? Don't think so, it's just a gimmick to overprice this community. My car was burglared in the middle of the night (my car is just an ordinary and over 7 year old car). Believe me, rent other apartments in Fremont, absolutely not this one. We are moving away soon luckily.

TOO NOISY; I LIVE ON THE FIRST (GROUND) FLOOR AND I CAN HEAR EVEN HEAR THE GUY ON SECOND SNORING; YOU VERY MUCH CAN TELL WHERE PEOPLE ARE BECAUSE OF POOR CONSTRUCTION. IT IS OVERPRICED FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS; THE ON-THE-WALL HEATER UNIT IS A JOKE. THEY SAID IT'S GATED! WHAT A JOKE. ANYBODY CAN GO IN THERE NIGHT OR DAY. PEOPLE GOING THRU THE GARBAGE RIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR. I REGRET IT. THINK TWICE....

WHAT A JOKE!!!!

Where do I start. They advertise as a gated community yet the gates are usually always open. The lights don't work so you come home to a dark, scary environment. People hardly ever pick up after their dogs so there is a smell to the property. The dumpsters are usually over flowing with garbage or dumpster divers that got through the "gated" fences. There is never any parking and if there is it is too small. They mail is always getting mixed up. There is a lot of kids smoking marijuana in the parking lot because of course the gates are left open. IT IS REDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The equipment at the gym could not be of any cheaper quality! They advertise as remodeled but this place is a DUMP!!!! i can hear my neighbors phone ring. We have NO PRIVACY AT ALL! I HATE IT HERE AND CAN NOT WAIT FOR MY LEASE TO BE UP!!! I'M OUT!!!!!!!!!!

Do not waste your money here

This apartment complex is totally not worth the money as many of other reviewers have said. Reasons: 1. Unfriendly, Arrogant , rude office and maintaince staff. - They don't care.. don't know how to talk politely. When you are talking with them, they have this expression on their face as if they are doing you a favour talking with you. And that too when you are paying top of the line rent for this so called "remodelled" community. 2. Faulty appliances, poor drainage system, incompetant maintaince staff. - This is a remodelled community. But I guess they have cut a lot of corners and used cheap material/ labour. Almost all the buildings have had water problem at some point or other. Few of the building have had hot water problems. My building had a problem in November... for almost 2 days we went without hot water and I have a 2 year old child. When complained about this to the staff, they didn't actually say we don't care.. but their actions (or lack of it) actually did convey the message. In october, I had to call their emergency number 3-4 times before I could get the plumber at my place. My kitchen sink was overflowing with our neighbour's drainage water.. it was so disgusting. Lights in the building (common area) work monday to friday.. but saturday / sunday they take off... the entire building is in dark on weekends.. have told this many times to the staff.. no actions yet.. This is a gated community.. great for the security right ? No wrong.. because gates don't work.. they are wide open most of the times because of some problem or other..I can go on and on.. but what I am trying to say is, don't even keep this community as your last option. Look somewhere else.. if you find these same problems somewhere else too, atleast you will pay less.

Definitely regret!

The below is what I found after living there for just three months: 1. Poor building structure: Unless you live on the top floor, you can hear the people living above you stamping and even flush their toilet. The noise filtration is really so so bad, can't stand it definitely. 2. Unfriendly property mgt staff: Except for the first day they showed you around the rental unit, they are never helpful whenever you have some issues inside your house. I couldn't my replacement part of an appliance for 2 weeks, no matter how many times you called. They just told you that you need to wait and nothing they could do. Ridiculous! 3. No more deposit: They take away all your deposit by saying this and that needs to be fixed.

Not worth the money

My husband and I have lived here for a year and a half and it's not worth the rent. Our first six months was riddled with problems from the construction on our building (we actually had a contractor enter our locked apartment uninvited WHILE I was home) and the front office staff is generally unpleasant. You have to be overly nice to them to get them to help you with anything. We have constant mold in our master bathroom because of the shoddy remodel they did in our unit. They recently had an issue with the water system in our building and we were without water for 12 hours and then without hot water for another 24 hours. The day this happened, the management conveniently waited until after their business hours to tell the residents in our building that we would have no water for a second day. This is a nice neighborhood, but not a nice apartment community or management company to work with.

beware if you give them a check

please beware if you give them a check as they will lose it and will ask you for proof of it later. They lost my rent check (actually they encashed it and did not put it in their system), sent me an eviction notice and was not happy when I showed them the printout of the encashed check that my bank had put in online. Got resolved after 15 days.

Bad Structure & Poor Parking

Don't rent there: It's a terrible experience for us. Remember not to rent the ground floor esp. You always can hear people stamping heavily from the above floor and even can tell exactly when they flush the toilet or use the sink. Very bad experience esp when it's at night, you can't have good sleep definitely. Not enough parking space for your additional car close by where your apartment is(apart from the assigned parking). The assigned parking is sometimes occupied by others. No use to tell the staff there, they can't do anything for you. Don't rent there!

Avoid here at all costs

Extremely over-rated and over-priced. Rental agreement protects everything but you. Noisy neighbors abundant. Renovated interiors are nothing but patches to justify horrendous price hike. Constant construction vehicle noise. Management has least intent in customer satisfaction. City Police is the only security option you may have.

some of the staff members are very rude and unfriendly, people park in your spot all the time!!!

We moved to Mission Peaks because we liked the floor plan and the location. However, I have to say, some of the leasing/front staff members have been very rude and unfriendly. They aren't really interested in answering your questions or understanding your problem!I guess they just like to be nice and sweet when you're looking for an apartment but once you're in and the deal is closed,who cares?!!!Also,almost everyday there is someone else parked in our spot!They need to make the parking more structured and organized!

Way toooooo Expensive.

Lots of construction is going on. Needs lots of repairing all the time..specially dishwasher. First day in the apt and we had water all over.Overall problem with plumbing.<br>Gym is not available and also has very old equipments.<br>Apartment is nice but not worth 1700 for two bed.Changing over to other property is a better option.

Way to expensive

Nice location and nice aprtments. Way way overpriced. Not worth the rent. Avoid this place until they lower the rent and price these fairly. Over $1600 for a 2 bedroom one bath. Ha ha ha. No Way.

peace, comfort and safety

Well, first of all, let me tell you that I am a resident here. Have been, in fact, for 2 years. I respect others opinions, whether bad or good, about this apartment community ... but, allow me to express my personal opinions, too, and to enumerate some of the merits of the place.<br><br>My unit is on the third floor, with a panoramic view of the mountain range. It has a high ceiling and a wide sliding glass door leading to the patio. I work very hard on a swing shift schedule and, in the early part of the day when I am at home sleeping, I treasure the most the peace and comfort my apartment community brings. My neighbors are kind and cordial, and seem to be always ready to greet others with a polite smile of acknowledgment!<br><br>The office and maintenance staff members are nice and gracious as well, and respond quickly and effectively to my inquiry and/or requests. Can't really complain about these people! They even gave me a minimal and reasonable rent increase when I renewed my lease last year.<br><br>The caveat? My particular building is set to undergo full maintenance this coming month of August, and I and the other residents have been given our 30-day notice. I look at maintenance as more of an act of improvement rather than an effort to mask deficiencies or faults. Future residents are bound to reap the fruits of this maintenance.<br><br>It's just unfortunate that the 30-day notice does not seem to be enough time for me to look for another apartment community that is just as peaceful, comfortable and safe.

Kiss your deposit goodbye

I just moved out not too long ago. Even though they did a pre-inspection and said everything looks good, I only got back 10% of my deposit. Normally I'm OK with it if they gave me a list of all items (painting, carpet, additional cleaning, etc.) that I need to work on before I move out. But that's not the case. This place is OK, only plus side is W/D in unit, AC (not central, window/room and only in the living room), plenty of parking. Other than that, I believe this place is over price. They want $1500 for a 1BR 1 BA now.. that's insane. I'm glad I got out.

Don't do it

Ok here are my gripes; ANTS (my whole kitchen counter was covered before we even brought food into the apartment) and SPIDERS, washer, dryer & dishwasher are LOUD and leak (the dishwasher is useless, the dishes are dirtier after you take them out, and it leaks all over the counters every time it is used) They find a reason to enter your apparment every other month to "inspect" something but nothing ever gets fixed. Once they cut a hole in the master bath wall, which was NEVER fixed, and later that day I found razor blades in my baby daughters room near her clothing drawers... Everything looked great when we moved in but within a week the microwave door handle fell off, and the plastic baseboard fell off in the kitchen. Now they are terminating the lease and we really aren't being compensated for it. The pittance that they are offering us won't even pay the movers and we are in a bind. Rent somewhere else.

Awful place

I am agree with all the negative critics about this place.<br><br>- Paper thin wall. You can hear the neighbores conversation. I can hear my downstair neighbore snores every night.<br><br>- Giant remote control. The gate system is OLD and works half of the time. There is only one remote per apartment otherwise you pay for an extra one. If you locked yourself out, you need to find locksmith.<br><br>- Insects. Spider webs are everywhere in the hall way and stair way. There are lots of insects in my unit too. My neighbores like to put their trash bags outside the unit and that attract more insects.<br><br>- Staffs. They are most of the time useless. My unit has leaking problem due to the construction. I told them about it and they replied "there is nothing maintenance crew can do. Have to wait for construction workers." One week past, I still have the problems. It's ironic the service request I sent in the status is now "completed." <br><br>- Service request. It is true that most of the requests are incomplete. I made 2 requests to get the freg. running. If you see something need to be fix in the community area, YOU have to fill out the request and follow up. Otherwise, it won't get fix. Many of the requests are incomplete but the status always show "completed."<br><br>- Community area. The spa is cold most of the time and dirty. You can't use the aerobic center unless attend the aerobic class. The area is dark (used to be bright but the lights are out and no service done.) <br><br>I have been living here for one and a half year. This time I will not renew the lease. Find another place!!!

So So Aptartment

I had live in this apartment for one and half years. It looks great when you first move in but after everyway is settled. you will start to find out some of the bad things about the apt. First, there are many bugs, splider, and ants near by the windows and the walls. Then, the thin wall that you can actually hear peoples walking, talking, and sleeping. At night, the train noise is quiet loud. Lastly, due to summer day time the swimming pool are always clouded and noised.

DO NOT MOVE _In... NOT A HEALTHY DWELLING

This place is awful. management is rude, liar. costruction/maintenance folks can walk in without knocking in and pretend they are told by mangement you are on vacation.<br><br>work-orders remain incomplete forever.<br><br>hot and cold water taps are cross-connected. when you expect it to pour cold water it pours hot water and vice versa. <br><br>Tub-baths are made of plastic and can break into bottom. Dishwashers actually un-clean the utensils, meaning they don't clean them and later the dry heat hardens the rust in utensils.<br><br>washers and dryers leak at the bottom.<br><br>Recently i heard the constructions noises are irritating and the mold in older apartments is causing allergies and infections. Now the flu/allergy season is kicking in, this is not a habitual dweling.<br>The Caifornia state department needs to investigate this place thoroughly!!!<br><br>I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.<br>Do YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT MOVE IN!!!!!<br>
