BAD MANAGEMENT & UNSAFE

The management is bad.. Doesnt respond properly, and would not listen to the complaints. After staying in for around 1.5 years also, they charged around $500 after the move out, though we cleaned the place very well before the move. In this economy slow down as well, they kept increasing the rents. Over all a bad decision to stay at this place.

ALSO ONE OF MY FRIENDS BIKE WAS STOLEN, just in 2 days after he had bought it. TOTALLY UNSAFE. ITS GATED COMMUNITY ONLY FOR NAME SAKE.

Rude staff, Free rock concerts & Nails in ur tires

Forget the staff, they are RUDE and with no hope for improvement. Although the faces change almost every week, the personalities are same.

Some of our neighbors are aspiring to be the next ´Money for nothing, chicks for free´ rock stars. They practice just when you come home and hope to relax with a cup of coffee and some TV. And boy, do they practice! Even calling cops does not help.

Management keeps starting new projects to show that they are busy. Recently they had all the rain gutters taken out from the car ports. Now the folks who did the job, left all the rusty nails lying on the asphalt. Caught one of them while backing out of my spot. Complained to the management, nothing happened. I gathered most of the nails near my spot and threw them away. Many are still around. Now they want to paint the exteriors.

If you are in the funny shaped 2B2Bs facing southwest, God help you in summer. The big attractive windows catch so much sun that the poor A/C is no match.

The only nice part is that the area is quiet and yet near to all the usual shopping amenities as well as the beautiful lake elizabeth.

      Ok facilities, horrible staff

I have never experienced an apartment complex that has had such staff turnover. Every time I go to the office, someone new is working there who has no idea what is going on. I have lived here for almost 4 years, and feel no loyalty from the management. The rent is extremely high. When I asked why my rent was increased so much last year, I was told that it was due to "all the lovely landscaping that we have paid thousands of dollars for". Gee thanks... Did they do the landscaping for my benefit - of course not. it was to attract new tennants. The pool hours and gym hours are very bad.
Overall, I am not dissatisfied, but I am planning on moving out very soon. Of course, when I go to tell them that, I won´t be recognized...

        bad management, high rents!

In this slowing economy...yes, landlords, building owners, and real estate agents are always the last to admit---IT´S SLOWING!!! The rent here is outrageous! This is NOT BEVERLY HILLS??? This is po dunk FREMONT where big trucks and drag racing are king! No security, no service, no after hours number to call against partying neighbors.

You´d expect for this high rent you should be living in the City---no it´s Fremont.

Red Hawk Ranch----where is your excellent customer service? No, not the fake smile and empty promises you give potential renters, but good solid service to your tenants who pay you a lot of money?

Go figure....just like Alborada Apartments---the king of "bait and switch" and false promises...$2,000 for a 1 bedroom---they call this market prices...right---someone tell them we aren´t in beverly hills------it´s sleepy Fremont, where the best restaurant is Dennys!

Too expensive but no regrets moving here.

I love living here because of the location and how quiet and peaceful it is. The only problm is the price. We pay 1870 for 1 bedroom. Swimming pool is a bit dirty at times. and the gym is not so great because they have old equipment. But we have had no problems whatsoever. The appliances are fine. Everything was pretty clean when we moved in. We were lucky enough to have new carpet. I especially liked the large BAY windows. And the w/d in the unit! No more trips to the laudromat. Also, our complex has great insulation. It stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Never had to use the heater/ A/C. Helps the electric bills. Been here for about 7 months. You will definitely feel comfortable here, if you can afford it. At least you´ll have a peace of mind.

Also, we never had a problem with parking.

            Sucks!!!!!!!

            This apt sucks.
The mgmt is pretty rude and they
actually increased the rents when everyone
else in the valley has dropped them!
The reason they gave was that they were
a luxury apt community...here´s why they
are not:

* the apts have baseboard heating which
hardly work, and are not able to heat up
even an average size room

* the a/c is in the living room and quite
old so the other rooms get none of it.

* the fixtures in the bathroom are quite
crappy and look like they were bought in
a flea market.

* the kitchen fixtures are also ordinary
with the microwave being of a very poor
quality.

* also if you come late...good luck finding
a spot.

Man I could go on.........

Anyway, I have learnt my lesson,
don´t rent here its a waste of money.
What is wrong with the people in Apartment L101

I am currently a neighbor of Apartment L101. They are living a life of a partying fraternatity. Other people have moved out of the apartment complex or have complained in the past and so have I but management does not seem to care. Why is this? There are many families and professionals here at the complex who cannot afford to sit outside of their apartment and smoke cigaretts all night long.

Excessive noise from neighbors and the inability of Red Hawk Ranch Management Staff to stop the problem

The inhabitants of Apartment L101 were excessively noisy. Yelling and screaming continued past 11:00 pm on most week nights. There were numerous letters and calls to security yet the noise would persist. Red Hawk Ranch was not able to put a stop to the noise problem. This is not a place that you want to stay in if you need to be productive at work. It is ok for the neighbors to be noisy on occassion but when it happens every night your performance at work will suffer. This issue is being deferred to the property owner via legal counsel.

depend on your location and managment mood.

Overall it might be good, but many
small things are quite annoing.
For example, entrance gates were not
fixed for a month. During that time
somebody broke into my car. At the
same time it took them 4 months to
provide me with the fully functioning
gate opener. All kind of excuses were
given to justifive the problems. The
washer and drier are extremely noisy
and inefficient. I can not use them at
night.
At the move in, manager refused to show
me apartment BEFORE I sign the lease.
The carpet was old with many wine stains
on it; so, I spent two days steam cleaning
it myself.
Kitchen and walls are covered with
easy-to-mark hard-to-wash material.
I had to cover the whole counter with some
washable film.
Neighbors differ from location.
Some of them keep waterizing their plants
without plates, dirty water in paddles
on my balcony every day and nothing was
done after several notices. Lately many
folks moved in who like to talk outside
late at night and make it hard for kids
to sleep.
Traffic is real problem, 880 and 680 are
dead in the morning, and it is getting
only worse.

                    A great apartment complex

Red Hawk is a wonderful apartment complex and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place in the Fremont area. I did not get to know the Alameda County very well since I worked in Santa Clara and most of my friends (other than my two awesome roommates!) lived on the Peninsula. I would not advise living in Fremont if you plan to spend most of your time on the Peninsula because of heavy traffic (especially on highways 880,680 and 237). Otherwise, the RHR apartments are well maintained, clean, and right across the street from Lake Elizabeth.

bostonian

My favorite Bay Area apartment: Red Hawk Ranch

Red Hawk Ranch is an awesome apartment complex. The grounds are beautiful, and everything is new. There are washers and dryers in every apartment, a well-known luxury in the Bay Area. We loved living here, except for the location. It´s not very close to the freeway, and Fremont is a bit of a pain as far as commuting if you work on the peninsula. Aside from that Red Hawk had really nice staff, good maintenance, and was located right across the street from a park with a nice pond.

I would definitely recommend this place, if you don´t mind living a little farther from the freeway (which also adds to safety, so there are pluses and minuses to being close to the freeway).
