Since moving to Vox, there have been a variety of safety incidents with 0 communication from management. For example, over a one month period we had 3 break-ins to our bike room with 100+ bikes stolen, yet they never installed a camera or warned residents to move their bikes after the first. Second, we had a tenant who happened to be my neighbor threaten other individuals with a knife, yet the building never warned me of the risk.

VOX has contacted all persons who have had direct interactions with the individual you are referring to with a community wide email did go out when the incident occurred. Additionally, there are cameras in our bike storage rooms with our South Building location alone having 3+.     This apartment is in a very good location in west LA and right on top of wholefoods. The security and the communication from management is not great and will need to be further improved. Need to set expectations correctly when moving in

      Been living here for about a year and a half, and absolutely love it. The location (with Whole Foods in the building) is incredible. Love the amenities, and super friendly community. They keep it clean, are communicative and I’ve had a great experience.

        Armed and Dangerous person lives here

        Worst management ever. Kept residents in the dark about a dangerous person living on the property after known incidents such as breaking into a woman's apartment and assaulting her, threatening a resident with a knife in the elevator, destroying multiple neighbors' door with hammer, and chasing a management staff with hammer while claiming to "kill him", etc. until this day this person still lives at Vox and the management had made no announcement about it. If it hadn't been reported by residents in a group chat everyone would have been kept in the dark and risk their lives living here. And we still do even after knowing this information. It's shocking how the management continue to let him live here after claiming to us that they have disabled his access. So the management team is not only irresponsible but full of liars too. The safety of the residents here is the least they care about (they only send out an announcement about "dangerous person on site" after an employee got attacked, and they sent another one after the person was taken by the police. But he was released and back to the property the next day and the management sent nothing about this information) again, liars

          Nice place but way too many animals for the amount of cleaning happening. Was better when they validated guest parking now guests get charged and there is no street parking. Pool is great but closes at 10pm. Gym is nice and 24/7. Decent neighborhood. Wish they got some restaurants and bars into the lower level to make the community more fun and vibrant and give people more places to walk to without going into the dangerous neighborhoods nearby. The fire alarms are frequent and super disruptive it would be better if they had them zone by zone so it didn’t wake everyone up or interrupt everyone’s zooms if some dust construction happens on the far other side of the building I have experienced like 20 alarms without one actual fire or emergency and there is no way to know so nobody vacates when the alarm goes off which is even more dangerous with all the false alarms if there is a real alarm many people won’t evacuate cuz there is no way to distinguish between false and real alarms.

              VOX maintenance team is top tier. They come prepared with booties and get the job done politely. Big ups to David—super polite dude! I also have great experiences with the office team. Dylan is really patient when I don’t know what I’m talking about :)

                  Overall, Vox is a great bang for your buck as far as amenities & accessibility to downtown Culver City as well as proximity to the highway. However with such a large community (over 900 units in all of Cumulus), there are some noticeable gaps when it comes to timeliness of requests on the Resident Experience app. That being said, the staff is always so polite & accommodating when you stop by the office in person.

                        I feel like we're paying a lot and not getting the best experience. I'm actually disgusted that we have ppl hanging around as security and they don't do anything. Literally, there's a pile up of cars and the security doesn't do anything. There is also the fact that my car was opened and someone stole my tire repair kit and feel unsafe. Really disappointed living here.

                          Super responsive to any maintenance requests that I’ve put in. The maintenance staff is also very courteous and have always responded in a timely manner. They always are very communicative and generally over-deliver whenever I’ve had any issues.

                            We don’t like it here. Taking online payments away for being late 1day was the last straw. Read my review on yelp (Jesse H). Inform residents when you switch payment apps. Don’t take online payments away after being late a day. Reducing someone to an archaic payment method and only a singular payment method feels illegal. What if we were out of town for a month and missed this by a day. We’d be automatically screwed.

                              management is bad, miscommunicated my move in date which cost me a fortune. made us purchase the Guarantors for 3000 dollar, made us go through a lot of hassle, I'm very disappointed. They said the apartment was ready, when we moved in, the floor was really dirty, AC was not working, and had a couple broken furniture

                                  It’s totally complicated to get to the apartment, for visitors and for myself. Maintenance haven’t repaired AC and broken toilet since months. The dogs are peeing everywhere, so that the floors and elevators are smelling like it. Concierge is barely answering the phone. Maintenance not even answering or communicating at all.

                                    This is a beautiful location and everything within few minutes drive or even walking distance! Only for the family with kids it’s a challenge to find a great public school though you have private schools but those are super expensive

                                              It's a great place for family and friends. I would recommend getting a space that has a balcony and facing away from traffic. There is a Whole Foods downstairs, so that makes life easier. It is a set friendly environment also.

                                                So far maintence has been great. The quality of the counter tops in the kitchen is not good at all. Disappointed with that considering the price.
