First, I wouldn't recommend anyone to move into this building, because the negatives outweigh the good. There are some people who try, but are gone to fast. Turnover are very high. Not everyone is bad, but some of the office staff could care less.

I have a 1 Bedroom Apt most of the residents here are friendly. If y'all smoke I would be leary of moving in, smoking is not allowed in your apartment. Most of the bedrooms in the apartments are ok in size some are very small just your preference of what y'all like

Because of my very limited social security income, finding an affordable apartment was very difficult. Sycamore senior Village proved to be the perfect solution.The quality of the appliances and appointments are great, and I especially like the granite countertops in the kitchen.

It's a friendly place to live the staff is always greeting you and helpful. I recently just had surgery and they have gone out of there way to be helpful like help me carry my groceries yo my unit and whenever they see me they ask how I am doing.

I really like this building. Before Covid we would gather and chat in the hallways. Of course when Covid hit, that stopped. Everyone is very friendly. Hopefully since Covid is on the wane, we can all get together again.

We love living here in such a clean and safe environment. The staff is very helpful, the grounds are maintained daily, the hallways are litter free and clean. You always get a quick response from staff. Thank you.

Maintenance is very unreliable. The staff is nice. I just feel that senior citizens are not taken care of very well. The stairways are dirty, the carpets are filthy. The elevators break down all the time.. Water is shut off a lot and then the water is lukewarm.

I lived there for 2 years. It is a nice place and very quiet. I met a lot of friendly people there. I only moved out to be near my family. The bus stop is close by. I don't drive anymore so the bus came in handy.

Very disturbing and disappointed ?bout the care provided in this complex. I'm afraid of the elevator, it's always out of order. I don't have hot water 24/7. Always a problem. Don't recommend living here.

I've already answered a lot of questions. You can use them if you'd like but I don't think you'll want to. I don't believe this is by a non involved company. For me, this is taking a risk. I surely hope I don't pay for speaking my mind. Also I'm really not complaining about the Maitence Staff. Although I did wonder why I got a call checking to see if my work order was completed and a apology that it took so long. Then I get this Survey. Such is life at Sycamore Senior. Why don't I move? Have you seen the rents?

~ Lots of loud noises at night for the past 4 years from someone who keeps throwing firecracker bombs into the carport next to the center of the building patio meant to intimidate the residents, & noone can do nothing about it since I lived here. Called the police, senior abuse hotline, management, security services, etc. & noone can do nothing about it, because whoever keeps doing it does it late at night, almost every other night, and noone can pinpoint who it is. ~ Beware of bed bug problems from residents who don't care who gets them. ~ All carpets installed have noticeable pet stains & other large noticeable stains that also smell. ~ Someone who either lives in their car or uses a remote control, is constantly bothered by psychotic delusions, so they keep honking their horn in a distracting way. I reported it & the car's license, but since it used to be parked in the worker's carport nothing was ever done about it. ~ Management & Maintenance is always getting replaced so noone is ever really aware of the problems that constantly go on. ~ Workers are less than eager to get jobs done correctly, because they feel they don't get paid enough. ~ Even if Richmond Properties personnel show up, it seems they are only interested in giving the building a passing grade. ~ The electrical system is not up to code, my apartment has 24awg wire instead of 14awg leading to the lighting system & 15amp circuit breaker & therefore one of the flourescent lights keeps blowing out. ~ People here don't care about the pandemic & walk around without masks even though it is clearly stated in big signs that masks & social distancing is required at all times. ~ Some people live here as younger families with an elder, posing as caretakers, even though it is only for seniors 55 & older. ~ Any packages left in front of resident doors are constantly stolen, especially if the delivery personnel don't knock on your door or if you do not meet them to accept deliveries. ~ The first two years I lived here I had to endure a family of drug addicts next door who didn't care a bit about fighting or making noise all thru the night. Now I have to endure the drug addicts that they used to know who live next door to me on both sides, and who are constantly complaining about the sky falling down, besides watching to see if they can steal my packages. Management claims to not be able to do anything about it. Even though they almost burned down one of their apartments trying to cook up some drugs, and one of them completely ruined the carpet in front of their apartment. ~ Find a better place to live than here, you will not be sorry. ~ God Send, God Bless, God Speed.

Carolyn was very welcoming to the community, I am a senior and she made me feel secure. Housing for seniors are very expensive in California and this makes it very difficult, Sycamore Senior Village provides affordable housing and its greatly appreciated.

The emergency maintenance person on phone was very courteous and helpful. He asked important questions needed to be sure the matter was taken care of promptly. The "new" management team is working hard in making sure all of the tenants needs are met in a timely manner.

His is a slumlord operation. I'm almost 100 years old and have never lived like this. I will say I haven't paid rent in 6 months because this place is inhabitable. I have been working with the dept of health and Sycamore has not been Anne to eradicate the bed bug situation. I moved in with brand new everything with the help of family and it's all worthless. I cannot afford to live anywhere else. Do not move in. This place is horrible. No one should have to live like this.

Most of the tenants are friendly. Having the activities they have let's you get to know your neighbors. I know that Pamela loves that you have a pantry once a week here in the building. I love the staff they are very helpful and kind.
