One Word: Cheapskates

The walls, ceilings, floors are thin... Definitely NOT for a light sleeper. <br> <br>Management is rude and unprofessional. And, the manager doesn´t care when you complain about it. The rent is too expensive and does not stay in line with the economy and the housing market. All the move-in specials are for new tenants. If you stay there year after year, you are penalized because while everyone else´s rent is going down, yours will be increased. What they offer new tenants is by rule lower than what they offer current tenants when you consider signing a new lease or go month to month. One word: cheapskates. <br> <br>There is never any parking. The parking spaces are smaller than most and there is not much room to maneuver. No wonder big trucks end up taking more than 1 spot. <br> <br>There is only 1 exit from which you can make a left turn onto Evelyn and the "Now Renting" sign blocks visibility. Despite several complaints they have not moved it. <br> <br>Not worth the cost. <br> <br>Note to The Complete and Total Jerks: <br>Complaining about ------- in the complex? You´ve obviously never lived with Chinese people... The ------- are not so bad if you treat them like human beings instead of like trash. Okay, I will give you the cooking smell but at least it´s only vegetables, spicy breads, and more spices, not that nasty fish oil smell that sticks to the paint on your walls - not to mention all the nasty stuff they eat like shrimp heads, fish heads, pigs feet, chicken beaks, etc. The Chinese, no matter how you treat them, treat you like the piece of sh-t that you are. The ------- like you if you´re nice to them (and even when you´re not) - and they are willing to learn how to do things if someone shows them (unlike the Chinese).

bad management: but where is good mgmt.?

live here currently, think its nice, but one problem

This place is nice and quiet. The rents a little high, but the apartment is in pretty good condition. Only problem is there is a lot of ------- who live here and they are not very nice. They take up all the parking spots cause they cram like 20 people into a 1x1, they throw their trash everywhere, and like the opinion before mine, they are pretty mean. Oh yeah, and all of their apartments smell really bad, you can tell when you walk by them.

not good

The manager that was there when I first moved in was great. Then management changed and they treat you like they are doing you a favor by letting you live there, it´s loud, the apartments are falling apart, very thin walls and after 60 days they have yet to refund any of my security deposit, small claims here we come.

In my opinion...

Hi my name is Jonathan and I have just moved out of my apartment of eight years. I finally purchased a home. I just have to say my stay at Windsor Ridge has been very good. The location is terrific. (Cal train, my bank, stores etc…). I have not had any problems with management over the years and they have been very helpful by accepting my packages and attending to my work orders in a timely manner. As matter of fact I feel sorry for them. I was paying rent in the rental office and this Indian man (not a native, an eastern one to be clear) was just ripping into the manager about how unfair it was of her to charge him the $50.00 late charge. He was way out of line! The manager tried to explain the policy but he just wouldn’t let up on her. I knew I was late and I had called the office and they told me that I needed to provide a cashier’s check with the $50.00 late charge included. This had been my first time as well as this ill-mannered man so I went home and read my lease and there it was in black in white what was required and what the repercussion would be. This man just didn’t get it and ridiculously rude. I was pretty impressed with the manager given the hard time this man was throwing at her. Management gives tenants 5 days to get the rent in or there will be a $50.00 charge. Plain and simple. I have no problem with that. Would you? As I said, my total experience there was very good but not perfect. Because nothing is. I look at other negative experiences in life and I just shake my head at someone needing to fight over $50.00 dollars when they signed a lease stating the guidelines. I guess you just chalk it up to ignorance on the tenant’s part. Living in the Bay Area all my life I’ve seen the changes in my neighbors as well as my coworkers. I think there are a lot of unreasonable expectations from a certain ethnicity on what should be expected of others however, not of them. <br> <br>I wish you the best. <br>I’m not afraid to say who I am to give you my opinion. <br>AND not anonymous! <br>Jonathan McDonnell <br>

THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!

They are such a rip off! The manager is so unprofessional. Whoever hired her was out of their mind. Trust me I have regreted moving in here and I can´t wait to get the hell out of here. Now as far as noise we must live underneath a drug addict because he is up stomping around all night and vaccuming at 3 o´clock in the morning on a Tuesday . So I highly suggest that you don´t even think about moving in this dump.

Rent is too high for what it is. They will try to persuade you with specials and one-month free blah, blah, blah but don’t fall for the trick. They give specials out because all the tenants finally got out of their leases and realized that it was horrible leaving here and got out ASAP. <br><br> <br><br>Don’t even think you can find parking or smell the pure air of nature. Since I have been living here, the people that have been moving in are not educated professionals anymore. You have 10 people living in a 2 bedrooms. Result, since management does not try to enforce the set occupancy limits, you find no parking starting at 6pm. Not only that, but people leave their trash in front of their doors and hang their laundry all over their balcony. You think you are at the fish market or something. With a place looking like that, you don’t want to have your friends over at all. By the way, have I mentioned that the food that the big families cook is just awful. It smells so bad and it gets into your apartment and gets absorbed in your work clothes. <br><br> <br><br>I don’t know who the hell lives here but you have HUGE trucks in the parking lot taking 2 spots instead of one. Also, people don’t know how to drive, they just hit your car all the time. It happened to me many times as well as my roommate. <br><br> <br><br>The gym is a joke (How many buildings do they have, who cares I guess because all they have are 2 cardio machines that are crappy and one weightlifting machine. All that in a tiny room where you can’t even breathe! It is always busy anyways) <br><br> <br><br>Laundry facilities are always broken. <br><br> <br><br>NOISY: Walls are too thin. I can hear everything my neighbors do. From talking on the phone, to closing the cupboards, to watching TV…..I feel like I am living with them.. <br><br>There are too many kids running around and crying. Damn parents don’t do anything. Basically if you are a student, you can’t study. If you are a professional, you can’t relax after work…. <br><br> <br><br>OLD: Everything is old inside and outside the apartment. The stairs are broken and they do not bother repairing it. I almost fall all the time. Dishwasher, cupboards, shower…. <br><br> <br><br>Service: Service maintenance does a crappy job. Basically you will have to call them again to fix what they were supposed to repair the first time. And management sucks. <br><br> <br><br> <br><br> <br><br>Pets: You are not allowed to have pets bigger than a certain size but tenants do not care at all. Some people have huge dogs that bark all the time at any time of the day! <br><br> <br><br>I am so glad my lease is ending soon. I am getting so far from here you would not believe. I have been looking at better places for a lot cheaper. Don’t make the same mistake I did, go look somewhere else. <br><br> <br><br>Your guardian angel.

THE LAMEST MANAGER!

Im so glad you can say anything here about the apartments. First off the apartment is getting old and the appliances are falling apart. Maintaince wont replace anything and they blame you if the a/c unit is old or if the frige is not working. They only care about you when you rent then your nothing to them! Everyone on the property hates the manager there. Shes the most rude person that treates people like shes their mother. She always has an excuss. Dont be fooled!

Nice Loft, Quiet Street

Finally found a quiet place to live. The street is very quiet and I also had a corner apartment next to parking lot. Great layout: living areas face outward, away from each other. Apartments only share bedroom walls. In 2002, this location had low price and very convenient to jobs. Broadband cable access works well. <br>

Bad deal; Bad management;

I agree with the prev posting that management is rude. When I say there is a problem they say I am responsible for the <br>cost to fix it. <br> <br>My stay is from 98 and was okay with the old <br>management. Parking is a problem always ... <br>Comparitive priced apts in a 4 mile radius <br>are so good looking hence a bad deal. <br> <br>

BEAUTY OUTSIDE, ------ INSIDE

Looks like a beauty from outside. Its stinks inside strating from the MANAGEMENT to the appartment. <br> <br>Bad approach to appartments. Blocked by cars or shrubs and trees. <br> <br>Not responsive management not their service. If you report a problem, it takes weeks for them to come during their convinent time to fix it. Incase of an emergency try to call the emergency no. IT GIVE HISTROY about Windsor Ridge. <br> <br>The walls are thin and can hear the other appartment people talk, play music, TV etc. Material used inside is the cheapest on earth. During winter it leaks all over the place and when complained they ask us to keep the drain clean for water to flow. <br> <br>Not sure how other properties of this group are managed or the people in the office are stubborn. <br> <br>Applainces are either refurbished or not maintained at all. A/C, OVEN, Refrigeator. <br> <br>What can you expect with such people. RUDE, NON-COoperative, Unprofessional people.(especially the maintanenece and Property manager). <br> <br>Not a place to live in. You can find a better place for lesser rent and WELL MANNERED STAFF. <br>

TOO EXPENSIVE. MANAGEMENT STINKS!!!! VERY UN-COPERATIVE AND INSULTING!!!!

We stayed at this apt for 2 years. the earlier management was quite nice AS COMPARED to the current one. They are very un-coperative and rude. They insult you and your service orders take days to complete. <br> <br>Besides, the above the walls are very thin. The fixtures are of low quality with water leakage in winter. <br> <br>I am sure you will find a better place than WINDSOR RIDGE for less price. <br> <br>Good Luck.
