This building offers...
This building offers everything you need and continues to keep getting better. Its very modern and the staff are very friendly. My experience has been nothing but wonderful and I will be sad to part ways once my lease is up.

Flats130 is a beautiful...
Flats130 is a beautiful community. It's well-maintained, has a ton of great amenities, and the management staff are friendly and helpful. Plus it's half a block from the Metro in a great neighborhood. I love living here!

The property management...
The property management has gone downhill significantly since Buzzoto has taken over. Poor concierge service, common areas unclean, hike in utilities.

We have enjoyed living...
We have enjoyed living at Flats 130. The apartment complex is beautiful and well maintained. Staff is friendly for the most part. You cannot beat the location. My only complaint is that is difficult to get in contact with the leasing office and to get timely feedback to concerns. Also, it is a dog friendly community, which is great in the city, but you can occasionally hear dogs barking and some people do not abide by the rules of keeping dogs on leashes and cleaning up after pets (which you will have anywhere).

Maintenance staff is...
Maintenance staff is excellent and incredibly timely. Always see janitorial staff cleaning, common areas are very well maintained. Main concern is the size of the building in relation to common amenities - pool and gym are fairly small for such a large community.

I love it here! You definitely have to pay for parking, which can be annoying, but the underground parking definitely came in handy during SuperStorm Sandy! Having Harris Teeter right downstairs is amazing, and I feel safe walking the 20feet to the metro. My neighbors are kinda noisy sometimes, but hey - its football season. If you can afford it here, live here! My only complaints are that the place isn't a condo and that I never get cell signal (not so great for working from home)!

Flats 130 is a nice building, but just pay attention when you're looking at your prospective apartment. And do not live in an apartment that is close to the door that separates the signature side from the non-signature side, after a few days of hearing the door slam open and shut, you'll be sorry!

I moved to DC from NYC to start a new job and, because I am not familiar with DC, I made a number of visits to view apartments before deciding on Flats 130. After viewing a variety of different apartments and neighborhoods I chose Flats 130, in part because the building is clean and well designed and in part because of the highly professional leasing staff. I have been living in Flats 130 for about two months now and (so far) I couldn't be happier. My apartment is a one bedroom. The kitchen is beautiful, with granite counter-tops, a well sized island for eating and storing pots etc., and nice GE appliances, including a dishwasher. The main living area is a nice open space and with the floor to ceiling windows (which includes a door that lets out into a small, and I mean small, balcony)I get lots of light. The bathroom is well appointed with lots of cabinet space, a stylish sink and a very nice bathtub. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which is very convenient. With the exception of the bedroom, the flooring is, what appears to be some sort of faux wood. The bedroom is carpeted and it is also nicely sized with a generously sized walk in closet. There is also a fairly large window in the bedroom. The bedroom is carpeted. I was living in a bit of a rough and tumble area and really noisy apartment while in NYC so the contrast might be starker to me than most, but I am always happy to come home at night and feel like the apartment unit is a true sanctuary. The only minor problem with the bedroom is that, in contrast the the rest of the unit which is very well lit, there is no lighting in the bedroom. This is easily remedied with a stand up lamp of course. My apartment faces one of the two interior courtyards. I was concerned about this when I first was looking at the unit because I did not want to be disturbed by noise. The court yard has two grills that are in constant use by tenants and their guest and there is also a club room off the court yard with two TVs and a billiards table, as well as a bar. This is also in heavy use - point being that there are often lots of people (and sometimes drunk people) in the court yard area. But what I have to say is that the windows are so well insulated that I rarely, if ever, hear anyone. Moreover, I have never seen anyone in the court yard past midnight. So my sleeps have always been peaceful and I have never been disturbed. Besides the club room there is also a really clean and well equipped fitness center as well as a spacious lounge on the mezzanine that has wifi, a big TV, plenty of seating, and a Starbucks Coffee machine that brews free coffee. The staff, including the front desk and leasing officers, as well as the maintenance staff are very professional, friendly, and have been responsive to my needs. In fact, it was the high level of professionalism in the leasing office that was one of my deciding factors in renting the apartment. I pick up my newspapers ever morning from the front desk and the concierge knows me by name and is warm and friendly. The front desk also receives packages and dry cleaning which is a big plus. The building is also very pet friendly and they occasionally host events - like movie nights. And there is a pool on the roof. The neighborhood is also very convenient and I am happy I chose it. The building is literally right next to the red line so commuting to work is easy. Flats 130 is a quick walk to the H Street Corridor as well as Union Station. There is a huge Harris Teeter on the first floor of the building as well as a few food options in the immediate area (e.g., 5 Guys, Potbelly, Roti etc.) There is no real "neighborhoody" feeling place though and no local bar or anything like that. There is a CVS across the street. And, perhaps eeriely, a new Starbucks that suddenly appeared one day when I returned home from work. Overall, the neighborhood has a lot of growth and while I was worried that I would feel more isolated than if I moved to Columbia Heights or Dupont Circle, I don't. Overall I have been highly satisfied with my experience so far and I would definitely recommend renting from here.
