Very easy move, the apartments are well taken care of. It's a smaller community but they are very attentive and will take care of any issues found very quickly. It's a little close to the railroad tracks but it's not bothersome at all. Overall a very satisfying location, pretty much everything is less than 2 minutes from the location.

Super clean, friendly staff, great location, pet friendly, heated pool, and extremely safe. If you work in Polk County, commute is usually between 5 - 30 minutes. There is always something going on within the community, and the neighborhood is super welcoming.

From the time I moved in up until now, I have to say my property manager Tami Bench is Amazing. She is very caring and compassionate about our community. She keep things in order and will go above and beyond to ensure that your needs are met in a timely manner. I've been her 2years and can honestly say she has not failed me yet. Truly a happy resident.

It was a pleasure staying at Fountain Place Apartments. I resided in the complex for a year and was very happy with my stay. Fountain Place is a middle of the road option; it is not run down (economically depressed) but it is not upscale either. I stayed in a spacious reasonable apartment at a reasonable rate. The Community Manager, Tami Bench, is wonderful as she is helpful and prompt. I lived on the top (second) floor; I never heard any neighbor. Not even once. The common facilities are nice. The pool is clean and well maintained. I would like to have had access to a gas grill. The outdoor dining area would have been much more useful if I could have grilled outside. The workout room is a joke. However, there is a gym within walking distance (one block). It is a safe community. There quite a bit of shopping and dining options very close. Within walking distance there is: Publix, Beef O'Bradys, a diner, dollar store, a gym, a jeweler, a laundry mat MacDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King. Walmart is very close as well. I did have some issues that needed to be addressed during my stay. The water was shut off one morning. A tree was growing/scraping against my window keeping me up at night. However, the staff promptly addressed the issues in a reasonable time period. Overall, I am happy with my decision to stay at Fountain Place.

Apartment are nice an so are the neighbors. Don't expect anything to get done when it comes to getting things fixed in the apartment. They are nitorious for saying one thing an doing another. They never stick to the time schedule they give you. They inconvenience you tremendously when it comes to things with the apartment. You can never get them on the phone when you contact them an it constantly goes to voicemail.

I have been at Ashley Glen, now Fountain Place, for about a year and a half. I was very sorry to see Cherri and Sol leave, as they were so kind and caring and easy to work with. However, the new manager is making many positive improvements. The grounds have been updated, painting has been done. It looks like a different place. I am very happy living here. It is peaceful and quiet and so convenient to local businesses and retail stores. I would recommend this complex to anyone! I enjoy living here very much!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Consider yourself lucky if you are on the second floor, and even then you can still hear everything! It was admitted by staff that there is NO INSULATION between walls and ceilings....this means almost $300 for an electric bill and I can hear my neighbors even TALKING in the next apartment. Thank God they built a new apartment complex in Bartow, because I will be moving there!

The main reason to rent an apartment at Ashley Glen is the current manager, Cherri Fiarito. The apartments are nice, the location is great for access to everything in Bartow but the manager is the main reason to rent. She is an extremely conscientious manager who is always responsive to her tenants needs. I have rented for over 40 years and she is probably the best apartment manager I've ever had. I do recommend these apartments but, again, mainly because of the management which does make a huge difference when you rent.

NICE PLACE TO LIVE
This apartment was very appealing to me because it was minutes from where I work and also walking distance to the fort frazier trail. I moved into a 1 bedroom apartment in Ashley Glen in Feb 2009. The floor plan is nicely set up, the sq footage is large, and the rent is fairly priced. There are several closets for storage inside, as well as a little storage area on the patio. The bedroom is a decent size and even has a walk in closet. The dinning room is seperate from the kitchen and living room which gives you a nice area to set up a dinning room set and actually sit and eat with family or friends. There is also a bar in the kitchen where bar stools can be placed for additional seating. There are washer and dryer hook ups, you can rent a washer/dryer from the complex or purchase your own to use. There is a pool on the grounds with a grill area and table. I always see the residents out there with their kids and family, having a bbq, and swimming in the pool. They always look like they are having fun. Everyone seems to keep to themselves, but I have met several of my neighbors and they all seem to be very nice. I havent had many problems with noise, however there is a train that is nearby and it can be heard at night but after a few nights of living here it didnt bother me anymore. There is only one problem that I have noticed. The residents that own dogs arent picking up after their dogs. When I moved in I was told by the manager that I was supposed to pick up after him, as I would have anyway. The apartment complex even supplies the bags to pick up the feces with, so people are just being lazy!

Not so sure......
Shortly after I moved in, I began to notice the apartment complex's short falls. There are no amenities other than the pool and what they call the "community area" which is basically a grill and a covered patio. There is not much to do there, but I guess in a way the cheap rent makes up for it. It took management a while to get the pool cleaned up, so for a while I didn't want to go near it. The noise at this complex is HORRIBLE!! The person above me sounds as though they are stomping continuously (when they are simply just walking) and when the sliding glass door opens, my window below it vibrates and it sounds like thunder. I can even hear their cabinet doors shut and the vacuum when they run it. Now that there is assigned parking, I have people walking along the back side of may apartment constantly to visit with someone because it seems that they moved all of the guest parking to one end of the complex. Now my husband has to park in a guest parking spot (and walk quite a ways to our building) because we are only allowed one parking spot per apartment. The inside of the apartments REALLY need to be updated. I have stains all on the inside of the cabinets; the linoleum is peeling up not only in the kitchen but the bathroom, too. I have cigarette burns in my carpet from the previous tenant, broken blinds, windows that won't stay open (I have to prop them open), missing light covers and a dish washer that doesn't work worth anything. The lack of storage in my unit is another issue in itself. I have to make sure that I don't leave anything outside that is of any value (ex. my grill) because things have a tendency to "walk off". Now that there has been a management change.... the office is only open during the week while I am at work. So if I ever need to go into the office for anything, I have to take time off to do so (this includes going into the office to get my air filters that they require we change monthly). One last thing.... management keeps telling tenants that have pets to please pick up after them and not allow them to relieve themselves along the grassy areas by the pool or behind the apartments. This is still an issue because every time I walk out of my back door, it's like stepping in a mine field. Needless to say, someone is not picking up after their pet, which is EXTREMELY rude and inconvenient to those of us that do. If you are a person that can over look these kinds of things.... then by all means, be my guest and sign that lease.... I will be moving out soon!! The only thing that has kept me there this long is the cheaper rent.

It's actually nice here
Me and my family have moved in, and although I can't speak very highly on the noise situation, I can say that the apartment complex itself is clean, maintnence is on the up and up and Pattie, the manager is a wonderful woman (I hope I am not speaking too soon). Nice place to raise children. And the rent is affordable.

you really dont want to live here..there is not adequate parking and today i got a cert letter saying my rent was jumping up to double what i am paying now..which is not in my lease...also if i leave i will be breaking the lease and responsible for the penalties so if i stay i'm doubled rent...in other words screwed either way! If I hire an attorney it will cost me more than it would to just stay and finish out my lease. gotta love them...oh lets not forget to mention...the new owners are turning the crappy apts into condos and selling them for ridiculous prices for example a 1bdrm/1 bth they are wanting 129,000..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH NOT for what?? the view of the whacked retention pond that has nothing other than litter and dead fish in? give me a break!

The manager here needs replacing.
I had to pay 1rst and last months rent, plus a security deposit of 375.00, which you only get 150.00 of it back when you move. She called it a redecorating fee, hah! This place was filthy dirty when I oved in. I had to clean the place myself. There was dryed egg yello all over the countertops, and much more I couldn´t believe that she had the nerve to charge a redecorating fee when the place hadn´t even been cleaned after the former residents moved out. I´m very dissapointed. No one out here keeps the rules about noise, pets have to be 25 pounds or under, Iv´e seen dogs big enough to saddle and ride out here. I give this place a file 13.Believe me you do not want to live here.
