I actually really enjoyed living at eagle ridge. The apartment was cozy and perfect for my navy spouse and I, rent was a little high but affordable, and we never ran into any problems with people or management. The only problem we had came after we moved out. We had never recieved a final bill from them which was supposed to be sent to our forwarding address, we gave it a couple weeks then eventual forgot about it as we adjusted to our new life. Well 4 months later we got a call from a collection agency, according to eagle ridge they sent a bill to our new address (which we never got) and sent the bill to a collections agency after we didn't pay it or contact them. Well the collections agency kept sending the statement to the apartment that we had already moved out of, and we had no clue this had happened until we got a call he day before our bill was to be sent to debt!!! Very very frustrating situation and we found out it happened to our friends that also lived at eagle ridge after they moved out too! The office didn't really have much useful information and didn't seem very eager to resolve the issue that obviously keeps happening to its residents. Living there was great, but keep up with them and make sure they send you the final bill otherwise you will get a call from a debt collector.

If you move in please make sure you check the carpet and appliance because if you don't you will be very unhappy will the old and dirty smell of Eagle Ridge. Please check thing out .

This was the worst place I have ever lived! As soon as you hand your money to them and sign the lease, the attitude of the people in the office changes from being friendly to "who the hell are you"! The women in the office gossip about tenants and don't care if other people hear what they have to say. When you need something done, the response of office personnel is that they don't have money in the budget. When the staff throws parties you cant use the pool, its closed for use by them and their families. The maintenance workers do fast, sloppy jobs. And they act as if you bothered them, even though its their job! The price is too high for the service you get. Cigarrette butts litter the grounds, the halls smell nasty. I paid too much for the service of this place! LESSON LEARNED! The company that owns it is RAIT RESIDENTIAL, I will NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN!

I have lived at Eagle Ridge since May 2013. While I will agree with some of the other people about it being a bit pricey, for the accommodations, location to the city, gym, pool and service from maintenance and office personnel, I am very satisfied with my stay. Any time I needed assistance from the office they were quick to answer emails; maintenance would be there same day (usually within an hour or 2) if I had any maintenance problem and the place was quiet. It is a beautiful complex and it is convenient to everything. The staff were definitely top notch and very friendly in my experience.

Well I have lived here for over 5 years, yes the rent is too high but I like it here. Its quiet, and maintenance always has responded to my calls. We have more families living here now and you see lots of kids running around, but that comes with living in a family community. I'll be moving in 2014 due to rent being so high, but I say if you can afford it this is a nice place to live. They should give a discount to long term tenants, they would benefit more from it. God Bless

Office people are pretty useless! But the apartment itself was decent. Nothing special. Paid way to much for a 1 bedroom though. Pet fee and having a washer and dryer in apartment made it go higher. Had a bee problem on our patio in the summer time. When I would let my dog out at night there would be a bunch of bugs in the apartment building and crawling all over the walls... Gross!!! Parking is horrible!! Sometime had to park on the other side of the parking lot. It would be nice if they would send reminders of stuff. Like their 60 day move out policy. They make you sign a year lease and then if you live here a couple years and they really expect you to remember all the bull crap that's in the lease! Whatever lesson learned I guess. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE THOUGH!! I'm sure you can find a cheaper place to live.

                  So-so

The apartments are pretty and the area well kept. That's a plus. However, I have NEVER lived somewhere that penny pinches the way do. Trash & water expenses, pet fee's to move in and a separate monthly pet fee of $20/month- where is that money going??? All the staff say something different, so you don't ever know the "real" answer. I honestly felt more freedom in my college dorms then with them. Truly. I've had people come in when I was in the shower! Don't you give a call before coming over to fix a problem? When I moved in, I literally had to sit for 30 min for an orientation on rules. Just give me my keys already.

                    Professionally managed and wonderful property

My wife is Navy and we moved to Eagle Ridge because they are EXCELLENT with military families. The rent is a bit high for the area, but once you venture out into Waukegan, you'll be happy you're here. Maintenance came out promptly for our only maintenance call. Office is professional, friendly, and remembers your name! Facilities are always clean and the heated outdoor pool is great. We hated having to move, but military does that to you. Would recommend to all military families.

                      its hell!

this place sucks! all the office staff are really unprofessional! they are slackers and penny pintchers! they charge you for the dumbest things when you move out because the stuff they equipped the apartment with to start with is the cheapest they can find... maintenance is not bad and respond fast if it's an little issue that can be fix right away... but the major and important issues, they act like they forgotten about it and charge you up the butt for it when you move out... lots of stolen cars, crimes, and lots of broken into homes... there's an security door to get into the building, but everyone knows the code to get in... the only good side about this apartment is that it's kinda issolated but near enough to stores and the beach.. but then, there's lots of family here.. and most of those dumb families just let their kids run wild around the whole place... they play in the middle of the roads and never gets out of the way when cars come by.. they jump on trucks and hoods of cars, not thier parent's! they leave trash all over the playground, dirty hand prints on car windows and what not! parkind is always an issues and and fight to even get an spot.. lots of loud parties on the weekend and drunks! there's too many military and college students! the maintance guys who drive around the golf carts speeeds arounds way to fast and just races each other back and fourth instead of doing their jobs! this place is hell! the office never listens to any compliants! go eleswhere!

                        Do Not Rent Here

My husband and I rented from this complex for a year. Our neighbors had bed bugs when they first moved in, the complex made them pay for it, it was not their fault. The heat (being paid for by the complex) was turned off way too early. People with children around us were worried for their health. Someone above us flooded their apartment and brown-yellow water came pouring down into our apartment, everywhere. The office did not help, and did not do anything to make us feel they would like to help us. I feel very happy our lease is over and will leave knowing we are not going to live in a dark apartment without help from the complex we were paying very much for.

                          Unproffessional and illegal

I moved in with a roommate with the lease in his name. When he received his orders to move to North Carolina, I decided to take over the lease. When it was time to move a year after the lease began, I was told that our lease didn't end until 3 weeks later. This meant that I had to pay an extra 800 for an apartment I wasn't living in. When I complained about it not being an actual year lease, the manager told me that it was their legal right to do that. Legal, perhaps; right, not so much. When I insisted on leaving early, she actually got into a yelling match with me, rolling her eyes and everything. Additionally, the hallways always smelled like ethic foods and were very dark and dirty. There was several problems with crime while I lived there. I would suggest moving to Round Lake at the Coventry Glen Apartments. It's a little farther of a drive but they have a 97% review unlike this comlex's 51%.

                                Interesting

We moved into Eagle Ridge just before new management took over. Initially, there were alot of POSITIVE changes however lately things have gone a little down hill. The maintenance is amazing. They are kind and on top of things. Carlos, the maintenance manager, is very personable and makes sure things are done in a timely manner. Erin, Jessica, and Jerry of the office staff are always pleasant and very helpful. The office manager is hormonal at times which does not always go over well. The grounds are well kept and clean. The fitness center is ok, the pool is wonderful, and there is a playground for kids. Which will bring me to some of the down side. The playground is new and nice however the children whom play there are rarely supervised, which brings us to MAJOR issue # 1. A great deal of parents do not want there children playing at the park due to the behaviors that have been witnessed. These things have been reported to the property manager however nothing has changed. There are a many different floor plans to choose from. Each apartment is equipped with washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Central heat and air, cable ready, and security entry to each building. You can paint your apartment any color to match your decor. Nice carpeting and good size bathrooms. The walls are pretty sound proof however your floors are not!!!! Which brings us to major issue #2 You can hear every walking, stereo, tv sound coming through your ceiling which can be VERY annoying. Parking is an issue depending on where your building is located and what time you arrive home. Some days are better than others. It is located centrally for easy access to shopping, parks, beach, Six Flags, Gurnee Mills, HWY 41, and Great Lakes. All apartment complexs have issues. Overall I would rate the apartment as pretty good.

                                  TERRIBLE!

I have been battling with this place since i moved in. My husband is in the military and they knew that from the start. We signed our lease at $899 a month and had our move in date set. There was a change in my husband's orders so I called to see if there was any way we could move in a week earlier than our scheduled date. They were accomadating in moving up our date but told us there was a problem with the lease we had signed. The property manager Elena told us that they charged us $60 less a month than what we should be charged, then proceeded to tell me that the current lease was no good and that we would have to come in to sign a new lease for the higher price. Outraged at the fact that it is ILLEGAL to go back on the signed price of which both my husband and I as well as the leasing agent had all signed. I called the corporate number and talked to the company president Erica. She agreed with me, had a stern talking with Elena and moved us in on the lease we had previously signed at $899 a month. NOW upon moving out early via military clause, they are trying charge us on everything possible. We had put down a $500 deposit on the apartment in the beginning, and told that it would go towards replacing the carpet if need be. NOW, I am being told that I never paid a deposit so I am being charged to replace the carpet. To my understanding I was only going to be paying ONE fee, as what my lease states. But no, now i am being charged for cleaning, discounts, and carpet for a grand total of $2100. They also told us that if we don't pay it, they will contact the navy and have it garnished out of my husband's paychecks. Needless to say i will be fighting this during my husband's deployment. Way to be patriotic Eagle Ridge/Jupiter! I hope everyone sees the way you treat your military residents!

THis is the worst apartment complex I lived in. They do not repair anything. Furthermore, there tenant above left and turned off the gas and the pipe burst flooding my floor too. They claim none of it was their fault and had anything happened I would have paid by it for myself. Secondly, the leasing person Elena is very unfriendly and very bad at her job. I called specifially about ending my lease, but she just so happen to forget it. In the end I had to pay an extra month that I don't need. This is on top of the drug dealers and fights that go on the parking lot. The lock on the building never works so basically anyone can get in. I would never recommend this aparment to anyone except for drug dealers and criminals because they will find this place the perfect place to do crime in.

I'm on the out at this place, my family and i have lived here now for two years. When we first moved in the old management set us up in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment for a descent rate. after the new management came in and we resigned for another years rent. the monthly rate was bumped up another $100.00 also they tacked on a monthly charge for trash removal and water (which the old management included in their rent) also, on top of the extra monthly charges the office management becomes stressed out too easy and make the tenants pay for it. for example, my apartment had some maintenance problems that needed to be addressed so i walked to the front office and talked to the manager, she told me that it was the beginning of the month and that we would have to wait because she was stressed out. i have had the same closet door break over and over again because the maintenance crew keeps fixing the broken door with the same broken parts instead of splurging the 5 dollars for new parts to fix it right. i live on the first floor in the corner unit, this winters gas bill for heat has been through the roof due to poor construction of the building, we actually had to nail blankets to the windows due to a big draft of cold air coming in. also, one of the main exits of my building will not open because the cement pad rose up because of the cold weather, i called the front office about a week and half ago to express my concern that if there was a fire we would only be able to exit the building out the front exit. they told me that the maintenance crew was off and they couldn't get to it then. well here we are today and its still not fixed. this is a huge inspection violation and they do not seem to care. i will be calling the fire department tomorrow to express my concern and their lack of it. this is very serious issue and they seem not to care. typical eagle ridge living. be sure you exhaust your options before moving in this complex.

the reserve has had previously had bad ratings due to the management. now, that a new company has taken over you can tell that funds are not a dilemma. they now have a great staff (jupetercommunities.com, 3 admin, ? upkeep...a lot)that keep things in order. your rental dues are spent not only for profit, but for your well being, so much unlike previus apartments ive lived at, if you want to live here you have to expect lininency and someone who will make sure you and they are covered in any case, this is the place to be. ive had a few problems as in any apartment that are expected and here the problems were handled faster than anywhere I had preciously been before. the jupiter crew handles everything instantly this is a great living community. its not far from a good shopping neighborhood in waukegan nor far from the military base in case your here for duty as I am. I can only recommend. if you have any questions I am free to call. 773 710 5583. good luck on finding a good place. well,by the way the staff lives here too...and things are great.

                                            best experience!

I rented an apartment here without ever seeing it. The staff was so helpfull! Totally the best value for the dollar. I'm not sure why some people are dissatisfied, but I feel this is a great community and would recommend to all. I feel like everyone cares and my neighbors are great!

You get what you pay for....

I moved here for a very temporary stay while I was trying to sell my house and buy another. This apartment complex had a very resonable price compared to the others in Lake County. I think the reason they can rent them so cheap is because it didn't cost much to build them. There is ZERO sound insulation in the walls or the ceilings. You can hear everthing going on around you, from conversations in normal talking volume, to people's TVs and stereos, and of course beroom activities. It also faces the Waukegna ariport. I slept with earplugs in for the past 6 months. Also, there are not enough dumpsters, so the trash is always over-flowing. One positive thing I can say is no one ever bothered me or my car. I never had a break-in or vandalism, which I think this communitiy has a reputation for.

                                                Don't rent here!

All of the reviews from people who have said this place is horrible are true. The staff is uncaring and unattentive. New management has caused this place to go downhill considerably fast. They are more concerned with typing up letters reminding tenants of the rules, rather than actually fixing the problems that cause tenants to break the rules in the first place. For example, one of the rules is that tenants must put their trash in the large garbage bins located on the grounds, NOT on the ground near the bins. This can be rather difficult, if not impossible, since the garbage bins are constantly overflowing because the garbage is only picked up once a week. The tenants are loud, inconsiderate and allow their children to run through the parking lot like it's their own personal back yard. They sit on cars that don't belong to their parents, leave their belongings outside and scream like they live on their own private island. They do this whenever the weather is half-way decent and until about ten o'clock at night. When it snows, pray for sunny days, because the only way the snow is going to be removed is if the sun melts it away. The staff sends a plow through the lot once, maybe twice if they happen to be feeling generous. Other than that, you're hopeless. You'll either have to shovel the snow yourself, or wear your ice skates because in the cold winter months you'll slip and slide all over the parking lot. Be prepared to pay for water and garbage removal; these fees are not included in the costs of the rent. You will also need to pay a $25 fee if you wish to use the workout facility located on the property. This used to be one of the perks of renting at Eagle Ridge, but they have begun charging for the amenity. Next, they'll probably start charging tenants to use the pool that is also on the property. When I first moved into this complex they did background checks and had rules and regulations regarding who they rented apartments to. Now they will take anyone and everyone who can come up with the rent.

                                                  Not so Luxary Apartments

Okay, so upon reviewing their model apartments you think to yourself..."Hey this is great value for the amount of money you re spending per month in rent". Well let s just say that the model did not reflect what I moved into. I moved into an apartment where the walls were cracked, the carpet was newly installed but was pulling away from the area between where the kitchen floor began and the carpet ended. The kitchen was dirty and the dishwasher sucked. There were two washers and dryers per complex which is 3 stories tall and has about 5 units per floor. Did I mention that 75% of the time only one was up and running. The apartments are also VERY LOUD! You can hear everything including kids running the halls, or jumping off furniture, music turned up and those lovely loud moans from your neighbors who are having a little too much fun in those late hours. It's so bad that you can actually hear people brushing their teeth and gagging. Yes, it's true! The landscaping was never kept up, there are cigarette butts and garbage everywhere. When it snows out plan to bring your own shovel & salt because they block you in when they plow the lots and forget that sidewalks even exist. You'll always have a hard time finding a parking spot and those that usually park next to you could give two craps if you have a nice car or not so be prepared to get dings and scratches during your stay unless you pay for a garage then you should be good. Also, if you plan on staying more than a year plan on your rent increasing as well. You'll have to sign a new lease at an increased rate. I lived there for a little over two years and it was done both years. Also, when you sign a lease plan to stay for that year or you will lose $1,800.00, yes $1,800.00!!! I signed my lease which was effective on 3/31. I called them on 4/1 and said that I wanted to move out and had changed my mind and would be out in two weeks. You think they would have made an exception, but nope. It was signed and they were sticking to it. They said I could pay them $1,800 to back out of the lease or pay them for the remainder of the year or I could just stay for another year. Needless to say I paid them the $1,800.00 and thank god I had it. Most people don t and I'm not sure what happens in that case. One thing I can say is that if you have a problem in your apartment they'll usually come out same day to fix it, but it's usually fixed half @$$. In fact, I had them come out to unclog my sink and tub and a couple of months later I woke up to a bathroom and hallway full of dirty water that had overflowed from my sink. I guess what happened was that the drains from all the apartments above me are hooked into the same pipe line as mine and since I'm the lowest point if there is a clog it's will back up and overflow out of your sink. The problem there was that I basically had sewer water backed up onto my floor and they refused to replace the carpet but agreed to vacuum it. Yuck! Also, Eagle Ridge is starting to become pretty ------. When I first moved in it was nice. During the last year I was there the cops were there quite a bit handling drug deals or domestic disturbances. In fact I just heard a murder occurred there so I guess it's not getting any better.
