Excellent Service
I have been a resident of The Lakes for 3 years and I have never come across a more resident friendly apartment community. From the maintenance staff, to the Office, the experience is wonderful. I have referred 3 people to the lakes and they have had nothing but nice things to say as well. Anytime I have had a service request, It has taken no more than 2 days, and then someone from the office has followed up with me to make sure that I was satisfied. Pride, Professionalism, Execution, and follow through. The lakes has made my home a great place to live.

absolute garbage
I must have been living on the same planet as the people before me who sang the praises of The Lakes. The service at this place is garbage. I lived there for two years and complained about the door frame falling off and my sliding screen door not being fixed several times over the course of a year and a half. No one even bothered to come out to my apartment and fix it, nor did they call me. That´s ridiculous. It only got fixed when finally, a maintenance guy drove by and saw the screen door. He thought it appropriate to tell us that it looked "trashy", so he wanted to fix it. I said, "It´s nice that it only took a year and a half to get my request satisfied". He thought I was kidding. Plus, my carpet was covered in stains a day after we moved in. When I complained, the idiot manager who runs the property had it cleaned once, and then they tried to charge me for it when I moved out. DON´T MOVE TO THE LAKES! THE PLACE IS GARBAGE! Cheaply made crap that you pay way too much for.

nice place to live
I only lived here for one year because I had to move out of state. Definitely one of the best apartment complexes that I have lived in because of quiet neighborhood, helpful and service-oriented staff, nicely kept grounds, and good neighbors. If I had to stay in Indy, I would have definitely renewed my lease. Also, apartment complex is VERY close (walking distance) to shopping, i.e., supermarkets, walmart, sam´s club.

short term stay
i stayed for a short period of time at the lakes. I cannot say that I have had the experience of other renters on this site. The management during my stay was not quite friendly. They were eager to take my money, but not so eager to chat about any problems.

Out of the box thinking for the Lakes Apt
I have been a resident of the lakes now for 4 months and have been very impressed. It seems like the staff really goes out of their way to please the residents. For example, I had a dilemma over the holidays, I needed my cat feed and could not find a person to do it. The manager, Gabrielle, informed my that the staff would take care of it....that was heads-up "out of the box" thinking by her. Plus, it REALLY impressed me and made me a happy camper...once again, this seems like their culture, to please their residents.

More than we expected!
When we were looking for an apartment the staff at The Lakes told us about superior service that we could expect as tenants. Once we moved in we had some delays with our movers, the staff went out of their way to accomadate us by staying late (9:00 pm) and even let us use the guest facilities for 2 nights at no charge! They have since followed up with us several times to ask what they can do to make our stay more enjoyable. They have really exceeded our expectations! We would reccomend The Lakes to anyone!

Nice
The Lakes was a nice place to live. One nice bonus was breakfast was provided during the week!! The pool was nice, although the workout room was small.
