I love living at the Bowen. It is quiet, feels like home, and the staff is amazing. Not to mention the amazing amenities, the beautiful floor plans, and how clean the building is. This apartment building is one of the cleanest properties i've ever lived in and makes me take pride in living here.

I Love this community. It's quiet, clean and very convenient to most locations. The staff are very friendly. So far any concern I may have had has been promptly addressed. I appreciate that The Bowen offers toe communities several opportunities to come together to fellowship.

BEWARE do not move here

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Especially not the 1st floor or if you have a car. This building is only â€œluxuryâ€� to those who are unhoused. Gate is always broken even if a resident or someone hasn’t driven into it, cars getting broken into or residents coming out to see they have no tires. No grace period for late payments (in this economy). Leaky ceilings. Doors not secure. I had a notice on my door after returning from vacation saying I had 10 days to pay rent before a case would be opened. Case notice dated after day 5. Know your rights. I donâ€™t see the court because I paid it but these people are something else. If they knocked $500 off rent the price would make sense but nothing is justifiable living here. If you are on the first floor, people WILL try to break in. Also parking garage cameras donâ€™t work on the 1st floor so if someone breaks into your vehicle or steals your tires, management will be of no help. No cameras in the hallway and dog breeds that are â€œbannedâ€� are all up and through this place, including a lady with a very aggressive pit. Currently… See More>

The community is a very well maintained. The maintenance staff and administrative staff are always extremely helpful. My only complaint is there is no real process to obtain a storage unit, other than going to the office every week.

Extremely clean and quiet community. Neighbors are courteous. There is plenty of parking both in the garage within the community and on the street. Rent is a good price. Apartment size is great. Great amenities

Since June 24, 2024, I've been living at the Bowen Apartments in Bowie, MD. The community is welcoming and offers a peaceful atmosphere, which has made it easy to settle in. The apartment itself is modern and spacious, with all the amenities I need for comfortable living, including a well-equipped fitness center and a beautiful pool area. The management team is responsive and maintains the property well, ensuring that common areas are always clean and well-kept. The location is convenient, with easy access to local shopping centers, restaurants, and parks, making it a great place for both relaxation and active living. Great Experience while living at The Bowen. However, it is very embarrassing to enter the building with guests and smell "WEED". These apts are expensive -smelling weed is a disappointment. Thank you.

Bowie is a very nice community & area. has hospital, pet store, groceries and many food & restaurants. easy access to Washington, DC, 495 and Annapolis. Seems to be friendly neighborhood all around.

It's a beautiful community with lots of amenities, however it comes at a premium price. The corporate ownership has to decide about how much they will *invest* in keeping this community in top shape. The management team, staff, and maintenance are second to none. It's a little difficult to use the amenities but mostly because you have to be prepared to walk to the front and must have your key fob at all times. This works for many residents. We have some issues with the parking gates not working for months at a time, and the pool not being open much (only June through Labor Day from 12pm-8pm when there is a lifeguard around). Other than these things it's a pretty great place to live.

Convenient to live in also the cookies are nice but I'd have to say my favorite parts would be the movie theater and the office, the gym is good but could for sure use a bench press and and possibly a squat rack

The management and the other employees create a great family atmosphere. Everyone does an exceptional job in making The Bowen a clean, comfortable place to live. The swimming pool is fantastic. Also the amenities and activities that we have monthly make it an enjoyable place to live in.

Building security is not up to standards. Initially we had in home security systems that was removed with no replacement. The garage cameras do not work and access to the garage through the back gate has been blocked off for months from the main street. There has been an ongoing concern with mold/condensation around the vents in my unit. Lastly, sometimes maintenance shows up quickly and other times it takes week to months to get a repair order resolved. I placed a repair order in July/September which was assigned to Dennis. There were no updates on the portal until I placed another repair order for the same item. My repair was not fixed until another random maintenance man came in to fix another item in November and discovered what Dennis put on the ticket was not correct. Two good things about the community are the access to amenities and community spaces. The gym has adequate equipment, and the usable space is readily available when needed.

Overall the community is nice and friendly. The Bowen is pretty safe and usually very quiet. I've been here for almost 4 years and I have very little to complain about. My only suggestion would be that staff be a little more approachable and less standoffish. Otherwise great place to live.
