Welcoming, Professional, and Worth It
From the moment I arrived, the experience felt elevated and professional. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and polished, creating an atmosphere that immediately stood out. Every interaction was handled with care and a high level of professionalism, and they took the time to ensure all of my questions were answered thoroughly. The environment itself is well-maintained and has a clean, upscale feel that reflects the quality of service they provide. Its clear they take pride in what they do and in how they treat their guests. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a refined, top-tier experience. - Travon

Not worth the cost
I am stuck inside because the ice, still covering alot of the sidewalk after a week, the mailbox is completely un-accessible. We have to pay for trash removal but because of the ice, they couldn't get through the parking lots safety all week. Even after the ice was partially cleared trash still wasn't picked up on the 4th floor of my building, elevator out of order again. Maintenance staff are very nice and extremely efficient. Always a pleasure. The apartments themselves look nice but after closer inspection you can tell everything is pretty cheep. Bottom of the line appliances, carpeting, counter tops and other floor ccovering. Not worth the price. I'll be moving as soon as my lease is up.

Excellent Experience
We enjoyed working with Alexia J. It was evident that she wanted to take care of customers and meeting the needs of their budget/apt. size. She responded quickly to our numerous questions. The application process was seamless and Abberly Crest was a fantastic choice. Thanks Alexia!

Do not trust the good reviews you see her they work for the complex Overpriced apartment rent rate especially to renew your lease nothing going on the area no groceries store close by You have to suffer 15 minutes of cold water to get hot water in the shower and water bill is always 100 + a month cheap building material the apartment is fulling apart The staff are friendly and helpful

Not responsive to issues with neighbors
The apartments are absolutely beautiful and I love the staff. However, they are not responsive to handling SERIOUS issues with neighbors (selling drugs, domestic violence, etc.) despite the fact that many residents have transferred buildings out of fear. The leasing office doesn’t seem to care despite the ongoing complaints they have received for at least one year. Absolutely disgraceful. I’m writing this as there are five cop cars handling a dispute involving screaming and assault from a particular apartment. My children and I should not have had to wake up to screams about blood in a parking lot at midnight.

I love Abberly Crest because it has become my home for six years and It feels wonderful to live here. I would recommend anyone to live here. However, majority complain about the prices but I believe that the price I pay is worth it. I have never had any worries, complaints, or anything that I could not reach out to Abberly Crest and they could not handle. I have had the best experience ever, and I really wish I could stay here forever. That would be my dream but I realize that one day I too may have to leave. As for now it is a great blessing to be here and I wish everyone could have the great experience that I have with Abberly Crest. To Abberly Crest I love you as a renter and I hope you love me as a tenant. Keep up the good work! Thank you for everything and for making me feel at home in my home!!! I would love to stay forever...

I moved in a few months ago and although I have made my apartment home it is not worth the rent amount. The walls are extremely thin you can hear the neighbors conversing while you attempt to sleep. I don't understand why they don't provide a place for us to dump bigger items, we pay enough rent to have a trash man come and pick it up from our door. The patio ants are horrible. You have to pay for everything. I have lived in about 8 different apartment complexes and I have never had to pay for a mailbox key, but here you have to. You have to pay a one time amenity fee that's definitely no small amount. There is dog crap everywhere except the kids park which is reasonable. The trash dump is far if you live in the back or front of the community. I moved form out of town and I was lied to signing the lease. They told me I would have a bookshelf and didnt. I got to the apartment and bam, no bookshelf. They messed up my first months payment and expected me to pay rent on time after finding out weeks after. Then they told me I will have to pay court fees. They didnt even have the courtesy to give me a few days to come up with the money after they told me a specific price. Its a big community so they dont really care about their tenants, there is no relationship. Older amenities for the cost. The internet is included in your rent, but the internet sucks and is always down. Maintenance comes on time and calls before they enter. I love my back yard I love the high ceilings. A lot of storage space. neighbors are really nice

I purchased new furniture about a month before I moved out from Ashely's furniture store I had to get rid of my bed and just decided to get rid of my kids beds just to be on the safe side because, I found a bed bug on my bed. so now I am out more money. I needed a place to stay while going through a divorce. I had no income so my parents paid my rent for 6months. I was told I could do the early termination and wouldn't be effected by it what so ever. I reached out to the office to do so once I landed a job and the judge allowed me to move out of state where my job is located. then everything turned in to ciaos. I purchased new furniture about a month before I moved out from Ashely's furniture store I had to get rid of my bed and just decided to get rid of my kids beds just to be on the safe side because, I found a bed bug on my bed. so now I am out more money.

Renting at this apartment has been a great experience. Maintenance is very fast and willing to help. This complex is great and so are all the amenities. I had the easiest time working with the staff here trying to get an apartment on a week notice. This place is great and I would recommend this complex to everyone. Prices may be a little high but for an updated building the price is super worth it. This place is a great starter apartment if you are new to the area! All the spaces are super clean and neat.

Abberly Crest! What can I say?!! Simply put, they were/are the best! I cannot even thing of a problem that i had. Or a problem that they did not solve! Great people, great personalities, great grounds and pool. Amy is dope! Helped me at every turn and she is a BIG Steelers fan like me!! We got along great! The only noise you will hear are the occasional jets from the Patuxent Base not far away. Other than that, it is quiet all the time. Casey is good to go and right by the door. Toni is ready and able to get anything squared away for you. Lastly, Jessica is in the mix as well with insight and number crunching. All great people and it was a joy meeting them and staying at The Abberly Crest Apartments for my time there working on a nearby project! Awesome! Dope!

I live at Abberly Crest in a three bedroom. Beautiful apartments and great staff. Any maintenance issue I ever had was taken care of in a few days or less. The events the office puts together have great food and they usually have wine. Everyone here is really friendly

Highly unprofessional staff most are not qualified for their positions. NOT friendly to military and DOD personal. They only care about your next rent check and are very blunt to let you know it. They make up charges with no proof and force you pay because what's the alternative go to court, they know that, and take advantage of this.

I have to be very honest and straight up. Abberly Crest is cool as hell!! The apartments are nice and comfy and the walls are thick enough for me to make noise and also not hear my neighbors, any of them! The staff gets the biggest shout out. They have gone far and beyond what is necessary and I have to commend them. As an example, Casey got a box that came in the mail for me and put it in my apartment because I work before the office opens and get home after they are closed. This meant a lot because they were glasses and I needed them to see!! Casey was on it and all is well! The other staff members are cool, approachable, inviting and always upbeat and helpful in all regards. Bria and Amy always show me love and for that I am always happy to see them and just say "hello" when I am passing through. Martha and Estella round out the staff members that I know and have met. They will get the job done in any capacity that they can in order to help out or provide excellent suggestions and alleviate any concerns or issues that I and other may or do have. Simply the best and I have no problem in writing this review, as they are all very deserving of this written accolades, but more. Come see them and the apartments, as you will not be disappointed and you will leave a little happier than you came by. Great staff, but even better individuals. As far as the apartments, I have absolutely no complaints or gripes. All good. No doubt. All the best ladies! Te!

The reason I writing this review is the snow removal service. I pay a lot for my apartment and they barely plow. They a tuslly plow your car in and having a garage doesn't help because they plow those in too. Then if you ask for help they tell you they might be able to help but then they never show up. Most people in apartments don't have shovels because your not supposed to need them so you have people borrowing shovels just to unbury themselves. It is ridiculous, especially considering the price of the apartments. Also the situation with the mail is --------. You have to go to the post office and request a key...which they have to make. I have been here 3 weeks and still have to go to the post office to get my mail because they are behind in making keys. AND it us not a maryland thing because I called the complex across the street and they do it the way any apartment complex I've ever lived at does it...the office has the keys and you can get thru right away from them. So again ridiculous especially considering the price.

I lived at Abberly Crest ( Apex community) for about 2 months now. I love these new apartments, it was smart to have apartments with elevators :) they brought the city to the country. The leasing office is helpful and will inform the residents on any changes or maintenance that is being done to the apartment. Since theses are new they are always working on the outside and inside to keep the apartment clean. I hope they upgrade the floors like the ones in the clubhouse instead of the concrete floors. I love how this apartment is pet friendly and you don't have to pay a rent fee. I feel secure and safe at my apartment at night and during the day. It is mostly quite however, some neighbors are a little nosey but not to bad. I'm glad I moved here, even though the rent is a little high but that's anywhere in the Southern Maryland area. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have lived at Abberly Crest for about 6 months now and it is terrible! I cannot wait until my lease is up to move!! I transferred here from overseas, which makes it difficult to search for homes. I have lived in apartments previously, but none have been this bad. They say that these are luxury apartments...they are FAR from it! The laminate on the cabinet doors is peeling off, there are burns and stains on the countertops, and the ants!! Oh my lets not forget about the ants! I am lucky that they are not actually in my apartment but they are everywhere on the patio and I live on the second floor. Cuts and tears in the laminate flooring, light fixtures not hung on move in day, leaky faucets, the list goes on. Noise, it comes with living in an apartment, but when you are woken up in the middle of the night because your upstairs neighbor uses the restroom, the walls are too thin! You can hear the conversation of your neighbors and them just walking. Maintenance, my washer broke and it took over 2 weeks and multiple phone calls before they just replaced it. They have replaced my leaky faucet twice and it still leaks. They never responded to the toilets constantly running, so I purchased and replaced the part on my own. Cable/internet, they force you to use the cable/internet that they charge $86 a month for which is absolute crap! The internet freezes and goes out constantly. So much so, that I use the hotspot from my phone to do homework. Water bill, i live in a 3 bedroom all by myself because the layout was better, but a water bill that averages $120 a month?? They charge you and every other tenant a minimum of $55 just to be able to flush your toilet!! This place is ridiculous and not luxury as they say. If you want an over priced, noisey, run down apartment, then live here! I do NOT recommend anyone to live here.

I should have known something was up, when I first visited this place in 2014, prior to my transfer. I was stationed overseas and took leave to come check this place out. The leading agent was rude, first off. Failed to give full details of the leasing process, in which you have to pay for lease insurance, which I have never heard of. but die to not knowing the area and having limited time to find a place, I chose to move here with my 8 year old son. On move in day, maintenance was still completing work in the apartment, the apartment wasn't cleaned fully, burnt counter tops, laminate cabinet that are peeling, and leaky sinks, is what we were given. After maintence requests, items still were not fixed. We live on the second floor, and I feel sorry for anyone who lives below us. We are not intentionally loud, but if we sound anything like our neighbors above us, then I can only imagine how bad it sounds. There is no noise barrier at all! The people upstairs are literally just walking, but it will keep you awake at night. We can hear their conversations, when the use the restroom, and anything that they do... When you submit maintenance request, you are not given an update, unless you are home. We currently still live here, and our washer has been broken for over a week. The washer and dryer come with the apartment, so naturally you would expect them to have parts on hand. No, this is not the case...2 service requests, visits and phone calls to the office, and still nothing is fixed. These aprtments are nice on the outside, but horrible management and maintenance. I highly DO NOT suggest anyone move here. The luxury that you pay for, is all a facade! We have a 3bed 2bath and our total bills per month, including utilities is approx $1,700 per month!!! The water bill is crazy high, monthly! It usually averages about $80-$100 per month!! We are moving and I couldn't be happier!

Blatant disregard for tenant needs and fairness. I believe they don't think they are accountable to anyone. All they are interested in is putting your signature on papers and making payments. They will do everything including lying to make sure you don't see the space your are signing or paying for until it is too late for you. I still live here. My family consisting of my husband, two daughters ages four and two and I moved here two years ago. I asked for apartment on the first floor at the time because I knew that as the girls grow older, they will start running, and having lived in four different apartments complexes in the last ten years, I know that many of them have thin walls and not well insulated. The leasing staff at the time told me there should be no problem living on the second floor. That was a lie. Not only did my downstairs neighbor started complaining, other families living on the second and third floors informed me later about all the problems they were having with the people living below them. Abberly Crest front office staff started accusing my family of being noisy and started sending us threatening letters just one year into living there. They harassed us to the point where my husband couldn't take it anymore and ask that we move. There are families living above us with adolescent children, so we feel the noise too, but we tolerate it because that is apartment living. After going there several times trying to find resolution to the problem, they finally agreed to find us a place on the first floor. They told us it will be the same two bedrooms with an office. They will charge us $240 more in rent monthly because they said it will have extra space. We paid for them to hold it for us, although they refused to show us the space or anything similar to what they were offering. On the move in date, on inspecting the place, I found all the rooms, closets and bathrooms were smaller than what I currently have. The only extra space was the office so I refused to take it. They insist if they find us similar space like we currently have, we have to pay the market rate which is about $239 more. I believe having establish tenancy for the past two years, they cannot increase our rent by that much. We are moving but I will also file a compliant with the OAG. The good things about Abberly Crest are that they do have decent size bedrooms if you are willing to pay the current ridiculous price. I did not find any cockroaches or mice, but watch out for snakes; they are all over the place. I did not encounter any criminal activities, and most of the neighbors are nice. I also like that they do background checks.

Nice in appearance. Nice amenities with fitness center and pool although the center is not open 24/7. Construction is thin: I listened to cars going over the speed bumps, the trash compactor cranking away, and the Yorkie upstairs running around. Rent is high and the premium for month to month is $1000 above the normal lease rate. On move out, do NOT sign the acknowledgement of cleaning charges; the lease does not oblige you to do this and if you sign it, you agree to whatever they feel like charging. Also, as noted in a review on Apartment Ratings, they will try to stick you with replacing the carpet. BE PRESENT for their inspection and take pictures of everything!

The front office staff is incredibly rude! Something needs to be done about this! Now on to pets.. the pet policy is ridiculous. I was told I can not have my Doberman because he was on the "banned list". A couple things wrong with this... 1. Mqryland does not have a ban on breeds any more according to Maryland's HB 42. 2. The apartment complex is not responsible for my pet according to Maryland's Hb 73. 3. I have witnessed and talked to many other tenets who have "banned dogs". There are german shepherds, pit bulls, and even a guy who walks his Mastiff by the front office everyday and they havent told him to get rid of his dog. It would be nice if the dog park had some form of water for the dogs and maybe a bench or two. Other than the extreme rudeness everytime you enter the front office and the unfair pet policy I actually enjoy living here.

My husband and I looked at several apartment complexes ranging from run down to luxury. For the price, location, and quality, I strongly feel Aberly Crest is a great option if you are looking for a reasonable apartment. The complex is pretty quiet and residents are very friendly. They do have a very detailed lease which, let's face it, they are a business and want to have available a great product. The lease is very straight forward and with your due diligence, will read and ask questions before signing. I do feel the lease is fair and it's your responsibility as a tenant to execute the lease without fault. I would strongly recommend Aberly Crest to others. However, it's your responsibility to do your own research and to read reviews, crime trends, etc., and find out what works best for your lifestyle.
