It has been a wonderful experience being at Harbor Manor. I do wish that they had more assistance with the Maintenance Staff. But at the end it is a very beautiful private cul-de-sac to be in . Hope to get more residents in our community sooner.

    I have been a resident of Harbour Manor Apartments since 2012, and have been extremely happy to reside here. The apartments are well-kept, and the remodeled units are absolutely beautiful. In addition, the staff members are professional, organized and provide timely maintenance service.

        Harbour Manor is truly a wonderful place to live. May 6th my fiance and I moved into a one bedroom at Harbour Manor. Oh what joy floods my soul!! Let's talk about the day I actually went to visit the leasing office. The first person I met was the assistant property manager Nicole. Customer service is a huge factor when it comes to spending my money. From the beginning of our conversation she was very attentive and interested in what she and Harbour Manor could do to fit my needs and wants. Not only did she take the time I needed and required, I was shown a video of the property and how well kept the grounds/apartments were maintained. Then there was my move in date. I am a firm believer in what God has for you it is for you. This was the first time I met the property manager Ms. Joesy. Both she and Nicole are wonderful people to work with. I felt at home immediately and blessed to have stumbled upon such a great please. Yes I said stumbled upon because Harbour Manor was not on my list of properties to visit the day I met Nicole. My fiance and I was in the area and he actually suggested we go in and inquire about the property. Honestly, I was so against going in because I had not checked the reviews and monthly rental for the property. However, as my fiance said......sometimes you just have to go by faith. When we walked into our apartment, we had everything we requested. Gas range stove, washer/dryer in unit, granite counter tops, wall-to-wall carpeting, second floor apartment, and a balcony. After being there for a week I had to contact the leasing office do to my bathroom toilet leaking from the basing, no cover led for the fan over my stove and no chain on my door. Ms Joesy was very kind and assured me she would have someone to come out the same day to rectify the problems. Before COB, Edward ( I believe was his name) came by and took care of everything. I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to move to the Temple Hills area. Three weeks has gone by and I am still feasting off of the customer service I received, the well kept property, and my apartment. Indeed a place to call HOME!!!

          I love my new apartment at Harbour Manor. I really fell in love with the kitchen and the spacious bedroom. Only problem I do have is that my Apartment door looks beat up and a little off track but other than that ,It's Great!!! I would recommend to move here

              I've just moved into this apartment and so far everything has exceeded my expectations. The apartment is very spacious with plenty of closet space and the greatest part, it has a washer and dryer and it's renovated! This apartment complex is definitely a hidden gem and I'm loving my apartment!

                I moved in on May 1, 2013, I like my apartment from day one. It is very cosi, my kitchen and bathroom took my eye i like how the countertop is made with that marble color with that cherry oak wood cabinets. My apartment give me the peace of being at home.

                  Overall a nice community. Staff is really nice. Maintenance is quick to respond to work orders. I love apartment manager. Kids playing in the street is a big issue. The isolation in my apartment is terrible during the winter. The bedroom gets extremely cold. I would like to see better preparation for wintery conditions (salting the parking lot).

                    The staff was very friendly and made my move in experience very pleasant. My mom has been a resident for about twenty years. She moved away for a year or so, but came back. I can understand why, she returned. Ms. Sample and her staff are amazing. I looked at several communities and they where very expensive and a lot smaller. I'm looking forward to being a long time resident as well.

                        Overall a really good low area to live. However, more care is giving to the outside then on the inside. Good location for easy access to the metro and shopping centers. And if you have small children great new play area for them, but there is nothing for children 10+ to do ( literally they can't be on the porches, grass areas).

                          This place has completely turned around from when I moved in. The original management who was in place was horrible 2010-2011. Josie the current property manager came in 2011 and she completely turned the place around. She gave the whole property a face lift. It looks like night and day. She is very prompt responding to any concerns you have regarding your apartment and she seems like she really cares about the property. Nicole the new assistant manager came about a year ago and she also has been extremely helpful and nice. I really appreciate everything that they do! It good to know that you can come home and not have to worry. I love my apartment and my neighbors are just like any others...you have some good ones and some bad but I've only experienced the good ones.

                            This is the worst apartment complex I ever lived in. My apartment was mice and roach invested with stray cats running all over the lot. Kids playing on the lot during days and nights causing dents on cars while littering the hallways, smoking weed and making lot of nice. The management is from hell because they are hardly in the office and when you finally get to them, it takes forever for a maintenance guy to be sent to the apartment if they do at all.The management lady has a nasty attitude and pays no attention to residents request even though I paid my rent on time..Please do yourself and family by not living in this hell hole

                              I must say this apartment complex is Temple Hills Best Kept Secret!! I have lived in a few apartment complexes in the suitland, temple hill area and this is the best by far. The resident manager is awesome!!! She is very attentive to her tenants as well as the property. The complex is small and quaint. I don't have any rodents!!!!!! Which is most important to me. I have moved from apartment because of mice. i cant live with those things. I had a plumbing issue which maintenance addresses promptly. The renovated apartments are lovely with all named brand appliances, and chair railing in the dining room.I must say I Love it here!! Kudos Josie Sample your the best!!

                                This is a nice cozy complex to live. Proprty & Assistant Property manager is very friendly, knowledgeable and hand in improving the community. There are nice size apartments with plenty of closet space. Maintenance staff are efficent with completing work orders. The ground are kept groomed and clean on a consistent basis. I call this my litllie hideaway.

                                  I signed my lease here at Harbour Manor Apartments January 2011 and I just resigned my lease January 2013. I have had no major complaints. When I first moved in the leasing office staff was rude and incompetent. Since they got rid of the old management things are going along more smoothly. The current property manager is great she very knowledgeable, she has a wonderful personality and she does everything in her power to resolve issues. They are starting to renovate the property which is plus. When it comes to crime haven t experience much off it, out of my two years living on the property, I can count on one hand how many times I heard gunshots. Most recent occurrence of gunshots was at stroke of midnight New Years Day; which is perfectly normal in any neighborhood. Parking it great there are plenty of parking space. Maintenance staff is ok; my only complaint that there isn t enough maintenance staff. I have read all of the reviews on here and I see MICE MICE MICE, I HAVE NOT SEEN MICE NOT EVEN A MOUSE IN THE TWO YEARS I LIVED HERE, NOR HAVE I SEEN ROACHES OR BUGS OR BED BUGS. The apartments are spacious, walk in closets balcony/patios and the property is mainly quiet.

                                    DON T DO IT!!!!! THIS IS THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX IN MARYLAND. I lived here for a year and I just moved out. First off. MICE! MICE! MICE and believe it or not.. MORE MICE!!! And the rental office managers don t give a rat s ---, [no pun]. their job is to get you into that apartment and trap you into a lease. Once your locked, you will experience a plethora of mice, intelligent cockroaches and other horrors. They wont do anything about it. If you have kids, do it for your kids sake!!! Put them in a better place to live, not harbor manor. Second, the head lady in the rental office is a cold hearted wretched lady who s old, lonely, wicked and all dried up inside. She has no value as a manager and NO EMPATHY FOR HER RESIDENTS. She needs to go mow lawns for a living or something; she defiantly strikes me as a con-artist type of woman. She should go to Vegas where her talents would be put to better use!! She should never be allowed to manage a property. When I first told her we had mice she looked like I was speaking Portuguese to her. Ill never forget the look on her face. I couldn t get any help from them so I went out and bought my own catch master mouse traps IN BULK and began catching mice IN BULK!! [a steady rate of 2 a week]. At the very last minute, now they are trying to renovate. Well you cant put perfume on a pig and you cant shine ----. let the fools renovate. Harbor manor is a disaster and they might as well abandon it. The Donaldson group should let those pathetic excuses in the rental office go, and they should just all together abandon the place. Tear it down, and mark the land as uninhabitable. There is no saving it. The mice have taken over, and we really should have been writing our rent checks to Mickey and Minnie and the rest of the mouse family. Cause they own the place. When they started the renovation, it was unimaginably horrible; these contractors did whatever they could to cause as much noise as humanly possible. Waking me up out of my sleep at 7 am, and I work late at night. Don t get home till around 2 am. Any second I expected one of them to come through a wall or something cause that s how hard they were banging against it. They gave the contractors keys to freely go in and out of anyone s apartment whenever the hell they wanted. I would wake up in my draws, step out of my room and there would be guys in the living room just chillin, And feeling good about themselves. I got used to it. I have more stories, but I am not going to put any identifying factors of myself in this review so that the clowns running the show over at harbor don t realize who I am. But all they really have to do is think of who they treated like crap and they may be able to realize who I am. Then again, it s probably everybody considering that these jokers have a whopping 0% rate of approval!!! FOLKS DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. DO NOT RENT FROM ANYONE WITH 0%. There s one fat lady who is a pleasure to talk to in the rental office, but that s about it. She s just nice, she wont do a damn thing for you. That s for sure. They sent a pest control person to my apartment, who walked in, left single adhesive a mouse trap and then walked right back out, And probably went and had a beer somewhere thinking to himself job well done . These people are jokes. I am going to submit a new definition to Webster dictionary for the word JOKE . When you look up the word JOKE , it should say: harbor manor management . It s that simple. I don t even feel like I am finished. I might just write a second review. Or an addendum later on! I got more I need to express.

                                      I lived here from Aug 2005 to Feb 2008. I am apartment shopping again and decided to see if this complex has improved. From reading the reviews, I see not much has changed. I had mice, BIG TIME!! I stayed in 4503 and I managed to catch 9 mice in one week. As another reviewer mentioned, I too contacted the PG Health Dept. I did not hear from the rental office until I contacted the department. I spoke with Rhonda who couldn't offer any other advice, but indirectly hinted that I should get a cat. She said that she had a problem with mice in her own home and that's what she had to do. I got TWO cats. That solved the problem. Never had a problem with roaches or any water damage. The parking lot was pretty quiet at night besides the occasional gunshots over at the elementary school; which sits behind the complex. What I like about this place is the rent is the cheapest around. Sometimes when you live in a trifling complex, it is easy to get away with certain things that would get you evicted in another (for those who like to BBQ.) I do not know if there is still an NO pet policy or if they make you pay pet rent, but mice and roaches are unwanted pets. For those who are living with that problem, you should take it to court and get an escrow account started until that problem is fixed. If they do not fix it, you can take that rent money and find a more suitable place to live. Good luck all and thanks for keeping us informed about this complex. Now I know I won't be back.

                                        This place is hell- even with new management

                                        If you are thinking about moving here....think again. I'm so glad that I am getting ready to move. The management staff have attitudes but then have little bipolar moments where they will act like they give a damn. The bald one is an idiot and she doesn't have an aswer for anything. Please dont think that their fake --- handymen will fix your problems because they suck and they do not clean up after themselves. The kids around here are bad as hell and like to throw footballs and hit cars. The young men around here hang in front of the building and do nothing but look pathetic. They have a major drug problem back here, mice everywhere, roaches, and I think i've even seen a rat. It was so big that I couldnt tell if it was a mouse or rat. If you have children, I wouldnt suggest you move here either, dont put them through the hell of living here. The new manager has a ------ attitude and only wants to help when she feels like it. Oh and this review is not because I had "issues" with the rent. The rent was affordable but the problems here are not worth the money you will spend. Take my advice and look somewhere else, because you will be sorry. Oh and if you decide to come here...watch your step...there is dog crap and trash everywhere. They only clean up when they have "company" coming. Good luck.

                                          RUN!

                                          Ma'am this place is the closest thing to H E L L I ever want to experience. This Manager is very rude, slow, and at times unresponsive. The maintenance team thinks people are dumb (they tell you things that aren't true so they don't have to fix things). Save your money and go somewhere else is my only advice. I have been here since Oct. and it has been problem after problem. I have never been late one time on my rent and they could care less. I mean this placed is jacked from beginning to end! I wished I had listened when people told me not to move here. I was told by the Assistant Manager "We need to let the residents sit in this office to see what we go thru". This is the job YOU choose so DO IT!!!!

                                              The apartments are nice and roomy, but the mamagement is horrible, they only have (1) maintance man, who is a Crack Head, just living on the property not doing his job. They never fix things properly, always taking the cheapest way out, so they wont have to spend the money. The washers and dryers in every building has been broke for a year. the residents were told that they are still wainting for a (bid) probely the (CHEAPEST). A new resident manager just took over (2) weeks ago, and they are now Auditing the books talking about all these residents that Suppose owe all this back money and some people have been put on a Month To Month without any notice or even signing a new lease. Some people now that they owe money, and some of the people probley don't woe a dime, or not even aware that they owe any money, If management never informed you about a previous balance how the heck you are supose to know. I agree some of the people need to go. I think that the management need to do a Inspection of some of these apartment, because some of these people just keep their homes just nasty. Now they want the residents to pay for the mistakes that the previous incompentent residents managers that they hired did or not do. I advise any one that is looking for a apartment do not move here, the mice has college degrees, they come out and sit in front of the televesion and watch the news, this place is infested with mice and nothing is being done. All of the residents should band together and take the Donaldson group to court or put their rent money in escrow until things get fix or move out. This could be a fantastic community if the just take care of the propety.

                                                  The complex is now called Harbour Manor: Don't do it if you can afford to live elsewhere. I've lived here for 9 years and the place was wonderful when I first moved in; that is until new management took over and it all went down hill from there. We have yet another management company that's no better then the ones that just left. The mice and roaches run around there at any given time like they own the place and the mice will sit there and look at you until you get up and walk towards them, they also run through my stove looking for food leaving their little nasty dropping on my stove top. The roaches have a new liter of babies every other day. It's a hot mess. The walls are PAPER THIN and my neighbor has a sourround sound in his bedroom so I feel like I'm in their bedroom watching TV everyday. You can hear them talking and laughing and even snoring at night. The rent is constantly going up although they have these trick you specials going on right now because the ecomony is so bad and they know people are looking for affordable places to live. Take my advice and DON'T DO IT!!! I'm looking for a new place to live as we speak.
