disgusted
this apartment complex is going down hill. there are people selling drugs in the complex and maintenance takes about 2-3 weeks before they come to fix anything. When the complex was under Brown Investment Properties there was NEVER these problems in the complex, now this mgmt lets anybody move in and they take their damn time fixing stuff but still want to collect your rent on time.

The WORST
Me and my family had moved here last than a year. My first problem was it took them about 3 months to get a mailbox key. Bathroom were poorly put together water damage in kitchen and den I have repeatedly complained about. On top of that I cant run my microwave, vacuum or radio without my electricity going out. I'm very limited to what I can use in my apartment. I know they are not to find a resolution to this money pit,so when my lease is up I'm gone.

MARGATE ON CONE
I loved my apartment at Margate! Of course I had issues but thats anywhere. I use to live in a town home that had maintenance after maintenance problems, but I had to pay that out of pocket. I have moved around a lot so I pretty much have seen the worse and margate is not one. They are huge for a reasonable price and you dont have to pay for water heat or gas! As far as the community goes, its ok. There is always enough parking and every now and then people crowd around at night. But thats because it was a open community. I cleaned my apartment often so I never had mold or mildew. I have had a few leaks but it was normal to me because it was built years ago and they havent changed much since my sister lived here in the early 90s when it was named something else. I recommend anyone to live there!!!

BAD MANAGEMENT
Since the new management has taken over the property has gone to the DOGS!!!!!! They are letting people have yard sales on the front lawn. I have complained about mold and they have yet to come and fix the problem. There is no number for the management company so they claim. I want to get in touch with exclusive management. Any one have a number please let me know.

What in the world in wrong with Margate on Cone Apartments
Its been over 90 degrees for the past week and my air condition has been broke for the past week. The main.keeps coming to "check" it but doesn't fix it. He will come in and check the air condition, even after I tell him its broken, then goes outside and never comes back.He has supposedly "fixed" my air condition about 8 times.

Can't wait to leave
My husband and I have currently are residents of this Greensboro, NC apartment complex. We have been having an issue with our air condition unit leaking in our apartment. My husband has went to the main office once before and they came and cleaned the water from the carpet. However, they did not come fix the unit. A day or so later, the unit began wetting up the carpet again. This time time around we have been to the office everyday to every other day trying to get them to fix the problem. As a result of their failure to fix the problem, we have mold growing in our apartment. We are so ready to leave!!!!

Another Cold Shower...
It's been months now and the water heater is not fixed. The water heater, heats when it wants, you'll have cold water all morning, then by noon time it will heat, by that time maintenance will come and say, "it's working now". When I call the office, they say, "apart is on order" then someone else will say, "we'll write a work order and get someone on it". No results, water still cold.

Awesome
I moved in to Margate and found that everything was just as the office staff said it would be..."home". I enjoy my stay at Margate!

Save yourself
Margate on Cone is very nasty. The staff is really immature and they sleep with maintance guys. The maintence staff has a key to get into apartments without an work order. I caught one of the maintaince guys in my apartment. The staff moved me into the apartment with wet carpet so when it dried you saw all the stains. The tub was molded. The sink didnt work. Margate on Cone has alot of bugs in an out of the apartments. The rent is too much especially when you are living in a crappy apartment.

What looks nice on the outside is not good on the inside, first off management is nice but the apartments are bad. I had to get out of my lease no matter house much I kept my apartment clean. I had all types of bugs roaches, crickets, ants, spiders and worms coming in from under the doors windows anywhere they could get in. I had three kids and they was scared to sleep at night it was always people hanging around outside all hours of day and night, Noise level was bad I would go to work tired. I never lived in a place like that. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to live here.
