I have lived in this complex since 2007. I love my physical apartment. I have lived here thru 3 leasing mgrs. -----, the head of maintenance works hard to keep the complex looking nice. Unfortunately, and for reasons I can't quite understand, our complex is saturated with --------. In 2007 - 2009 it was the ------- that were the majority. Around 2010 the -------- started showing up. In the past 3 yrs the complex is now at least 80% -------. They are noisy and dirty. I say dirty because the adults and their children leave trash strewn all over and cannot seem to grasp the concept that when you take your trash to the dumpsters you actually have to put it in the dumpster. Instead, so many will leave it sitting next to the dumpster. These -------- do not - in any way want to assimilate. The children know English but the adults will not speak it. They allow their children to run around and destroy complex property. I know this because me and my husband have seen it first hand and the parents could care less. Just recently, one of the glass entry way doors was hit with a bee-bee gun and was destroyed. The swing sets are being destroyed, mulch is being put down the dryer vents which could cause a fire. My husband could several boys about 10yrs old watching porn outside. He knew this because the volume was so loud. Guess what? The parents were there!!! ----- just planted new trees and the kids are pulling the leaves off of them and tearing on them. I seen it myself!! Not only that, why are there so many cars in our complex during the day? How do these people pay the rent when wifey is home pregnant and with little ones and daddy is at work? These people don't speak English and look and act like they just got off the boat, yet drive nice cars and pop out anchor babies. This is not a section 8 complex, there are income qualifications. How they meet these requirements is beyond me. But I guess that is none of my business. I just live here and with these people. Oh! We now have a heroine problem. Just thought I would throw that in. I have seen needles in the grass. One other thing, ------- men treat treat their women like crap. I have had to call the police more than once. I stopped calling a few years ago when I realized it is considered acceptable in their culture. Like the way ------- treat their women but maybe not quite as bad. So if you are ------- - you will love Top Of The Hill!! If not, you better be very tolerant. My husband and I are moving in the next year or so for sure.

Was fine in 2009, when I was in my 20s. Recent management has been abysmal. Act like you are a burden when you call them. Service issues take several days to fix and they never update you. Noise is big issue as walls are paper thin. Snow removal is lax. Recent clientele has become undesirable. I'm thankful to be leaving. Avoid at all costs.

We looked around quite a bit when we first got here from Las Vegas. Top of the Hill Apartments were the biggest, nicest, and cleanest that we saw. Jeannine and Fernanda were two of the nicest people that you will ever meet. We love you guys and thanks for all your help.....We would also like to thank Scott the senior tech in maintenance and his crew for keeping us up and running.........

My family lived in this apartment for 10 months in 2015. Convient to shopping and safe place, all you need to pay is the electric, one bedroom, about 900/month. The staff Fernanda and Jeannine are GREAT people, move out in Nov 2015 for work.

My mom and I have lived here for 30+ years. I was raised here and now I have been raising my daughter here for the last 12 years. We recently did a lateral move and everyone from the regional manager to the maintenance staff have been extremely helpful. They truly care about what the complex property looks like, how the residents feel about their apartment and what needs to be done. There is a pool and a playground for the families. The balconies are nice to go out on in the mornings to enjoy your coffee, or in the evenings. Unfortunately, you cannot control your neighbors, but the new property manager is extremely helpful as well the office staff and will help with all complaints that are logical. This is a great complex to live in. We have seen property managers, office staff, maintenance managers, maintenance staff, all come and go, and by far this is THE BEST TOP OF THE HILL HAS EVER HAD!!!!!!! I HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND TOP OF THE HILL APARTMENTS TO EVERYONE I KNOW!!!!! AWESOME PLACE TO CALL HOME

This apartments are very old, floor very squeky, if neigbor smoking inside you have nightmare sleeping. There are a lot of holes between apartments, you hear voices and smell cigarets. I really don`t recomend these apartments if you`re not smokers!!! Neigbor are rood and unresposible for other people. I really looking for non-smoking apartments with more kind neighbors.

It's been a nightmare living here the past 9 months. Yes apartment living was expected to share some communal noises, but this is ----ed up. The upstairs neighbor is rude, insufferable, defiant as hell if we tell her she needs to quiet down past 9pm (even on week nights), sleep-trains her squalling child in the master bedroom above where a normal adult couple would sleep, and it's been going on since we over here. If you're considering living at this complex, which isn't all that great to begin with, be warned about this kind of thing - it's the norm. Does not help that the walls are paper thin. Also, our utility closet hasn't been insulated this entire time although we called in complaints about it. Cold draft all winter, and now that it's warm, we're picking centipedes, silverfish, and crickets up off the walls and floor nearly every day. For 1085 you can do so much better ELSEWHERE. Trust me, sleeping well at night is worth it.

I have lived here for 3 years and this is absolutely the best apartments for your money in the area. The maintenance staff are absolutely fantastic. They respond to problems quickly, are very polite and fix the problem. The office staff is always polite and I have never had a problem with them. You can hear your neighbors if they are loud but this is an apartment and that is to be expected. If you don't want to ever hear your neighbors then you should be looking for and paying more for a house to rent. That being said, I rarely ever actually hear my neighbors. All of my neighbors are also very friendly, always saying hi and stopping to chat on occasion. The police are driving through this area on a daily basis and there is a middle school across the street where they like to park and watch from. I get home from work late fairly often and have never felt in any kind of danger walking through the parking lot to my building. I have heard of cars getting broken into but mine never have been. Parking can be tough on the school side of the complex and on the side next to Chalet Apartments but that is because of the layout of the buildings. There are simply more apartments close to the parking lot in those areas. I live in one of those areas and even so the longest I have ever had to walk from my car to my apartment is 120 yards. If walking 120 yards is too much physical exercise for you to handle then maybe living in an apartment building isn't the best option for you. For those who are older and qualify for a handicap sticker the apartments will gladly put up a handicap sign as is evidenced by the fact there are several in front of buildings at any given time. I would highly recommend Top of the Hill Apartments to anyone looking to rent an apartment in the area. Can you find nicer apartments? Sure, but be prepared to pay a lot more for them. Are you looking for a good apartment at a good price? If the answer is yes then you should take the time to look at Top of the Hill.

I have lived here over 5 years. Some of the prior reviews USED to be accurate. The staff at the leasing office has been changed due to prior complaints. I should know, I was one who complained. I disagree about the maintenance complaints. All of my complaints have been resolved within 24 hours in most circumstances. Some were beyond their control, power outages, leased equipment with contracts for outside service, but all in all, comparable to most luxury complexes in the area. The buildings are older but they are maintained as well as can be expected. If you want walk-in closets, crown molding and other luxurious amenities then go elsewhere and pay hundreds more. But if want somewhere to call home and don't want to pay for swimming pool, tennis courts and clubhouses you will never or rarely use, then check this place out. I am glad I did. I only moved out because it was requirement of my job. You can read older reviews if you like but check the property out for yourself. Don't be fooled into thinking thinks don't change over time.

Theese apartments excuse my french are a peice of ----, do not be decived i have 2 children one 18 and the other 14 where do i start. I moved here on a limb from a buddy at work said he used to live here. We were in the process of loosing our house and we were desperate the first month i lived here my son had a cigarette put out on his face by the teenagers that live in challet apartments, Challet Apartments are filled with drug infested teenagers. The teens here hang out in apartment buildings and make alot of noise and do reckless stuff like breaking into cars keying them for no reason and spiting on your car there highly disrespectful.Drugs are delt on the corner at the Ferdabar elementry i occasionaly come out at night and smell and see them smoking weed in broad daylight! The kids at challet Apartments always start with my son and bully him making him not wanna go outside. The parking here is a joke because there never is ANY! i always have to park across the street at the school witch there a high chance my car could get towed! You can here all your neighboors through the wall every morning i can here my neighboors fighting and throwing glass i live on the top floor and i can here banging below me. My nextdoor neighboor actulley came in my apartment and screamed at my kids! Not acceptable ( my daughter was banging on the door to be let in) i had a problem with the ac in summer and the maintence mans exact words theres nothing we can do, The lady in the office is rude and i fought with her for a month over geting a parking sticker for my car. Ive also noticed a change in my daughter as well. My car has mutiple dents and scratches from other people that live in the apartments. when you live here there is no privacy all your neighboors can here everything! My kids ask me everyday when were going to move out they hate it and so do I! overpriced is what i say i will be renting a house when my lease is up in febuary cant wait me and my kids are counting down the DAYS!

I have lived at Top of the Hill for almost a year and I can not wait to move out. Noise is a constant problem, the neighbors are rude and inconsiderate. My dishwasher broke two months ago and still hasn't been fixed. The carpets are a mess covered in stains since the day I moved in. The management office igonres any complaints and requests for repairs. I truly regret the day I moved in here. I have been a renter at many places for a long time and I can truly say that this is the worst place I have ever lived.

I would never recommend living here, maintenance is horrible, they are all clueless. I don't even want to mention all the problems we have had. The office manager is extremely rude and ignorant, and a major liar. If you complain about anything she will just tell you to leave and live somewhere else, that not the answer I wanna hear when I have a maintenance problem that isn't being resolved, especially when I am rarely ever home and pay my rent and utilities on time every single month from day one. Neighborhood isn't safe, several vehicles have been broken into including my own, right out front of my apartment. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else, you will regret moving here.

I love living here!!! The building and the grounds are very well kept. Also, the property is extremely safe. There is a police station and two firehouses within minutes of the property. There is also an elementary school and a middle school directly across the street. And, with direct access to Street Road, all of my shopping needs can be taken care of close to home. All of my neighbors are either very friendly or just prefer to keep to themselves. The current Superintendant of Top of the Hill is on the property 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He is very attentive, hard- working, and friendly. He and his maintenance staff have made my living experience (5 years so far...) an enjoyable one. I would recommend renting at Top of the Hill to anyone, at anytime.

Please let me know if this is a safe family complex
Please reply with some answers if you can: is this complex safe for a family: Do you feel safe outside at night: are the neighbors good: do you hear a ton of noise: if you do hear noise where does it tend to come from (walls, people upstairs, people downstairs): Does management answer your maintenance requests easily: are there always cops there for trouble: do you have to pass a criminal background check to live there? (I hope so): thank you so much for your honest reply and your time

Looking to Move in....Need some Advice from CURRENT RENTERS
IS IT REALLY THAT BAD HERE??? FIRST: Im not a renter here. SECOND: Im not Management Ok people give me the Good, The Bad and The Ugly....Dont just tell me it sucks here because you just stubbed your toe. Im a current renter (renting elsewhere but very close by) looking to rent at Top of the Hill Apt. It looks like an ok place to live. Like I said Im renting elsewhere at this time. Renting sucks no matter where you rent. You just have to pray that you have good decent nieghbors living below or on top of you. I dont think there is an apartment anywhere where your not going to hear some noise. Seems like a perfect spot if you have kids. The school and the playground is right across the street also Nesh Mall, Giant, Acme, and other shopping stores are close by. Route 1, Bustleton ave and I-95 are also close by. People complain about the parking here. I go by there almost everyday and I see alot of open parking space. Im mostly talking about the central ave area the street by the school. The outside of the buildings look Ok, nothing special but then again what apartment in going to look like the Taj Mahal? How do the insides look? How much for a 2 bedroom apartment? I see complaints about the noise. What do the cops do or what can they do? Whats the ratio of the race? White,Black, Spanish, ??? Im not a renter but I gave it a positive review just until I can hear from a few "CURRENT RENTERS" I will take doen this post (maybe) if a few people reply with some details about this place. I appreciate your TRUE/HONEST feedback... Thanks! GOOD: BAD: UGLY:

Worst apartment complex ever.
I would not recommend this apartment complex to ANYONE. I actually made a mistake at doing so when I first moved in and completely regret it. ---- (the office manager) is rude, inconsiderate, and shady. There is absolutely no communication between the office and maintenance staff (which is most likely ----'s fault). If you have a complaint about anything at all do not bother calling the office - nothing will be done and you might actually be reprimanded for calling. Parking is terrible. If you have a regular day job good luck finding a parking spot if you get home after 5PM. The apartment complex provides guest parking but it is never used by guests and is never enforced. The parking areas are poorly lit. Good luck with your apartment hunting and avoid Top Of The Hill in Trevose, PA!

horrendous staff!!
one person tells you one thing, another person tells you the opposite. person in front office is extremely unprofessional, in both appearance and personality. the mainatance staff, however, is always on time and here to take care of your needs. but the maintance manager has no people skills, yells at residents, and is very hard to communicate ones needs. i am not unhappy here, but, could be much happier spmeplace else.

Neighbors ok
The location is nice, right next to the schools and close to Street Road. Maintenance is kept up, and there are groundskeepers always ready to help. The apartments are nearly new with all the upgrades. The price is reasonable too.

GREAT COMMUNITY BAD WALLS AND MANAGER
The apt. complex is well kept and beautiful. but there's a problem, the walls or paper thin you can hear everything. there is not one day that goes by that i'm not in peace in my own apt with frames shaking, glasses in the kitchen. its like a nitemare now. if you love noise this is your place but the neighbors think they own the whole complex and they can do whatever at anytime. this new manager there dawn wow she must be the last person in the world they found very uneducated, useless, helpless she will try to do for you 0, zip, zero, nada. How things change. and loves to comment on here acting as a resident...funny how we cant have freedom of speech but she can (yea right)

Great place to rent!!!
I have lived here for 5 yrs. now and have no clue what they are talking about in reference to the Maintenance staff and Manager. Deb is great and easy going. Whenever I needed something fixed, I put a request in and it is taken care of in timely fashion. I agree parking is an issue, but when people don't follow the rules what do you expect management to do. I know they have tried on numerous occasions and have even towed cars but people still don't listen. Maybe the problem isn't the complex but some of the people renting from it
