money steeling company
This company is not giving back the security deposit even if you have not rent the apartment yet. They took money to hold the apartment and do not give it back. Even if it says on the application (which you actually sign) that you have to get your money back on certain amount of days, you still will not get the money back even if you come on time. The management is very unfair. No one knows what is going on in their own company, no one want to take the responsibility to answer for their actions. Do not rent from them!!!!!

The community overall is nice, but has a lot of flaws. We used to live in one bedroom and then moved to two bedroom. The one bedrooms are all underground and mold is always a problem. Also when it rains the carpet gets wet all the time. The two bedrooms are on the second and third floor, so it is much nicer. We had a lot of problems with management before, but it seems that it all worked out now and she is treating tenants much nicer now. The maintanance guys do fixed stuff, but you will have to constantly call and remind them and could be waiting a couple of weeks, and the quality of their work is actually horrible. I don't know how people are saying that maintanance are fixing everything on time. It never happened with us. They do fix small things, but big ones you have to wait forever for them to fix. We found that in order for the maintanance to do anything around here, we have to talk to manager Deb, otherwise it will not be done (just an advise). The structure of the houses are not very good. You can hear everything people downstaires are saying. So, it is kind of noisy and if you are a light sleeper, you will probably have hard times adjusting. Also, you have to be carefull on which side of the community you are renting, because, you might have a parking problem.

NEVER RENT HERE!!!!!!!!
never rent from here. the girls working there are horrible. They're so nice to you until you sign the lease. And then when you sign the lease they go and tell you that the apartment that we were suppose to have isn't available until next month and that they have a third floor only now and we have no choice but to take it cause its so close to the move in date that its too late to find another place. they don't care about people, all they want is move. I know you girls from top of the hill read these so say hi to the ----- for me cause you all will be burning in HELL!!!!

NEVER EVER rent here!!
My husband and I rented here for the past year. It was our first apartment together and we were excited about the location, space and price. From day one living there was a nightmare. We were told when we signed our lease that our unit had a washer/dryer in it--it did not. We constantly had maintenance issues that were NEVER addressed--we had tiles fall off of our shower revealing a molding wall underneath that were never replaced, our toilet didn't flush for 6 weeks, our shower never drained, one of our overhead lights didn't work... the problems never ended--nor were they ever addressed!!!! We were constantly being informed of changing policies, but the one policy that changed that we were NOT informed about was the pet policy change--which affected us because we had two cats. Then they tried to evict us for having pets in violation of their no pet policy. The manager was an unhelpful, vengeful woman who was rude and very unprofessional. We moved out about 2 weeks ago--leaving the place cleaner than it was when we moved in and we just received a notice that we owe them almost $2000 for cleaning, repairs and damages... We were refused a walk-through when we left and now we're being punished unjustly. If you know what's good for you, please do not waste your time or money here.

Manager/Neighbors/Parking/EVERYTHING IS POOR
Totally sucks, the manager is the rudest person that I have ever encountered in my life. I am used to normal apt noise but I have the rudest neighbors ever and when you complain to the office, they do nothing but threaten you. I'm still here because it's convenient for me at this point in time but if you have a choice DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

I think it is great except for the parking
I moved in here a few months ago and I love it. The place is quiet and clean. Maybe I am fortunate and just have quiet neighbors, but honestly the quietest apartment I have ever lived in. I think the pool and playground are great, and the grounds are well maintained. The management was helpful to me because my credit was less than desirable, and they worked with me to get me approved. Maintenance also responds to requests quickly. On a negative note, the parking IS horrible and you really do have to get home before 6pm to find a good spot and the spots are EXTREMELY tight, so much so that one time I had to literally climb through my back seat to get in my car. But besides that, very good!

VALUE
We moved into this complex recently. We chose it for the price and location. We looked at SEVERAL (about 10) places and this was the best value. It is convenient to major roads and stores, and depending on your location in the complex, very quiet (for us anyway). The size of the apartments are average, but the included utilities are a plus. If you are lucky, the updated bathroom and kitchen are fantastic! (New kitchen cabinets, countertops, floor. New bathtub, sink, vanity, and floor). Also, our unit has a smaller sized washer and dryer (for an extra 20 bucks a month) which is still worth it. As dumb as it may sound, our only complaint about the place is the carpet. When we put the entertainment center together our legs were torn up from kneeling on the it It is not very comfortable to lay or sit on either. If you have an infant or toddler that crawls around and plays on the floor it will cause irritation. Parking: I work during the day and never have a problem parking at all. Coming home after 10 you may have to walk 100 yards or so (at most). It appears safe and security patrols around throughout the day. I have not heard of any instances of crime. The negative about parking is that most of the spots along the street side are way too small. It makes it tough to physically get in/out at certain times. I have heard that management is trying to resolve the issue. Noise: We can only hear the people above us. Next door/and below are not an issue at all. You can hear people walk in and up/down the stairway. Not a big deal... even in most new condos you can hear your neighbors above you. Grounds: Appear to be somewhat decent. I walk around the complex with the baby stroller and I have no complaints. Safety: The complex is well-lit and seems to be safe. Again, I have not heard any instances of crime. Construction: I'd recommend a third floor if you get annoyed with noise. Other than that we do not have any complaints about the second floor. It is much more convenient if you have a baby. Maintenance: We have only had a few minor issues which were attended to immediately. The maintenence guys here are very friendly. Staff: I haven't really dealt with the staff very much and haven't gotten to know them. I just go in there to pay the rent and thats about it. If you're looking for value this is a good place to live. Elementary and Middle Schools are right across the street. It is an excellent school district and you cannot beat the price. Grocery store(s) (ACME & Genardis), CVS Pharmacy, and other places are within walking distance. Just come and check it out... you'll probably want to move in right away just like we did.

STAY AWAY!!!
We have lived here since 2000 and have watched this place rapidly go completely to hell. Some of the latest problems include a recent cockroach infestation in our entire building, mice, parking problems, roughly 3 memos a week stating new rules and occasional threats, teenage loitering and an extremely ignorant rental manager that refuses to do anything. Now they have decided to make the parking area outside of our building visitor parking for the entire complex, so we no longer have any parking for ourselves. Security slaps huge red towing stickers on your car if they don't see your parking sticker (which is in the window where they said it should be). Our central air runs practically all summer long and rarely ever gets the apt. below 78 degrees, and the 5 times the HVAC guy has been out to fix it he tells us it's fine and not to live on the third floor next time. Then, they won't let you have a window unit because they say it's unsightly. When our fridge blew (for the second time) and we called the emergency number, they told us that's not an emergency. Two days later when they finally brought a new fridge out, we had lost over 200 dollars worth of food. When they resurfaced the parking lot they gave us one day notice to be out of the parking spot before 6 am, otherwise your car got towed and you got charged. We dodged a bullet on that one but since our neighbor was on vacation, she got charged, and the towtruck put a nice scratch in her car. Speaking of notices and memos, it's worse than an office. Everyday I come home from work wondering what ridiculous rule they're going to have stuck in my door. The latest is that we can't back into parking spaces. What?!? This is suppoded to be our home, the place we go to relax and feel safe, where the staff (that we pay 900 dollars a month to) do their best to make our lives easier, but I end up getting more stress here than at work. If you're looking for an apt., go somewhere else. We are.

Best apartment experience ever
Perhaps it depends upon the building, but- I've had a great experience at top of the hill. The management is courteous, helpful, and understanding. They're a close knit group- I've only dealt with two people- and they worked with us to help us meet income requirements so we could sign the lease. Beyond that, they handle things with promptness and ability. When we moved in, they provided the standard "write down whatever's wrong with the apartment for liability purposes" move-in list. To our shock (based on previous apartment living experiences in the area) they took the list, and fixed every little thing we wrote on there by the next day (even replacing a blind that was chipped in the corner). We live below one of the maintenance guys, and he's very courteous and has fixed any little detail we see fit. We've even been late with rent, accidentally, and they didn't fine us or apply late fees. They just asked us what happened, we explained, and they were cool. I would definitely recommend this apartment above all others. We lived in Thunder Hollow and it was a pricy nightmare. This complex is affordable, cute, and reliable. Plus, they pay all utilities except for electric (the heat is gas). That may not sound like a big deal, but at Thunder Hollow we had some nightmarish, $600 utility bills. (you're responsible for everything there- even cold/water trash removal bills come to $100). Do yourself a favor and go check this place out. You won't regret it.

Beware of the manager!
The 2nd night me and my family moved in the man below us came knocking on our dorr threatening us that we're too loud and he's gonna complain. (Just to let you know all we were doing was walking) Couple weeks later we got a notice... NICE huh? Just moving in and BAM! The Manager is a complete ---------! She obviously is close friends with some of the tenants! Thats why me and my family had to move out a couple months before our lease was over! Oh and this guy below us didn't give a ---- he'd bang on his ceiling in the middle of the night. ( I was 8 months pregnant) and I would get scared and jump in my sleep.. maybe thats why I had my son 3 weeks early. He complained so many times it's not our fault he worked night shift and had to sleep in the day time! I'm not gonna freakin' tip toe all around just for him. I'm paying $900 a month i'd like to walk around freely! The downside- neighbors are A-Holes, Manager is a A-hole, Maintenence isn't the best, Parking is horrible I would have to park several complexes away, & you can get evicted in a blink of an eye for dumb reasons. The plus side- Aparments are nice, inside and out. Grounds were nice, never really seen any trash lying around & Neighborhood wasn't bad at all I felt safe.

Are we talking about the same apartments?
I've been here for three years and the only reason I consider moving is because it's getting a little small for my husband and I. All the maintenance staff is great and if we need something fixed it usually gets fixed on the same day or within a day or two. They are really great with that stuff. It's a little pricey, but worth it. The pool is always clean and so is the landscaping. Parking is a bit tight sometimes, but for the most part I really like living here and will be sad when I have to leave.

Hostle management
Feasterville is a great area, but living here is very stressful.

Management enters apartment regularly without permission, intimidates residents with eviction if repairs are needed, raises rent without proper notice, etc.

If your friends with management you can have pets, use your balcony for storage, get repairs when needed...if your not friends with management you will get none of this...just threatened with eviction almost every week. Just a few examples of how no action to improve is taken (other than harassment and intimidation of residents)

Management or Communism

Nothing but HELL!!!
Yes the parking is horrible but the management is worse...if your friends w/her you can have anybody evicted...Myself and the last 4 people that have rented my apartment have been asked to leave before their lease is up because of noise...the last couple that was here had a baby...so if the kid crys make them leave??!!!The apartment manager is uneducated and rude. She tells you what you want to hear to get you out of her face and then slaps you w/ a letter to leave. The walls are paper thin so you can hear every little noise...I can hear my neighbors next door, downstairs, upstairs, and nothing but complaints about me because I'm young and have a child. Don't worry if you know the manager and can't pay your rent..worry if your not friends with her and pay your rent on time.It has been constant hell since the 2nd day I was here. People complained when I had my furniture delivered(it was 1 in the afternoon).Oh and don't take them to court either...she's so buddy buddy with all of them the judge won't even let you talk! I wa a criminal justice major in college..been to plenty of hearings for school and never saw anything so unjust in my life!!So if you want no privacy and want to deal with ignorant management on a regular basis(they don't leave you alone), move in here.

Not a bad place to live
I have lived here for a little over 2 years. I'm not sure what a lot of people are talking about. I've found the management and maintenance to be very helpful. A little costly for the size of it, but ammenities and 24 hour maintenance definitly make up for it. My cousin lives elsewhere and they have to wait 2 weeks sometimes for a maintenance issue to be solved...so I'm thankful that the most I've ever had to wait was 20-30 minutes!

I've had my share of problems, mainly with my garage disposal, because I was unaware that you couldn't put potato peels in there, but other than that it's been fine.

My only complaints are bad plumbing and insect problem. Russian neighbors put too much soap in laundry and bubbles came up through my tub, and they have also flushed paper towels in toilet to clog and toilet has backed up in tub. Maintenance was very quick to fix though. And you can only do so much to get residents to stop. You're not gonna throw someone out over not knowing how to do laundry.

I live on first floor so we get bugs through back door, but there is an exterminator that comes every Monday...so that solves that problem.

Management is great. I have been late on rent before due to unforseen financial circumstances, and management worked with me to get my rent in when I could...many other places probably would've taken you to court or booted you out by then. Staff is very friendly!!!!

Parking is an issue, but again you can only do so much. They limit 2 spots per apt., but they don't know when people have friends over. There is great security that rides through, so I feel safe anytime of the night. If you find a car without a parking tag, just let security know and they handle it.

I live in front of the playground, and having a pet that's a little rough...kids come pound on the window and yell kitty, but they are 3-4 year olds so that lies on the parents to take care of their kids which is usually handled.

I love it here! And I would recommend it to anyone.

Not bad until recently
The complex was great as most say until management changed. Now we are finally moving out, and it's due to several things. Inside maintenance is great and there on the days that you call. Outside is another story..mud and trash, and all kids of junk. The snow removal is horrible, almost non-existent. You can't find a place to park, unless you like hiking the two blocks back. The neightbors do not understand the whole concept of parking inside the lines, or at least leaving you a can opener to get into your car the next day. The noise is just bad, you will get no rest. I know that teens need a place to hang out, but must they sit on my car to do it, and then glare at me when I ask them to move? Management says kids will be kids. The parents are just as bad...oh well. The walls are so thin, that you can hear every word, and other activity, including the nighttime adult ones, just sitting in your living room. The cops are able to take your complaint, but that's all they can do. Good luck if you live here...we're finally moving out.

SEC 8 WITH ADDED LOW LIFES
I LIVED HERE FOR ONE WHOLE YEAR AND IT WAS THE WORSE PLACE EVER. I HAD NEIHBORS WHO LIVED ABOVE ME A LOW LIFE BLACK FAMILY NOT BEING RACIST EITHER. THESE PEOPLE LET THERE KIDS ROLLER BLADE IN APT, BOUNCE BASKETBALLS, OR JUMP ALL OVER THE PLACE IT BROKE PICTURES, MADE IT TOUGH TO SLEEP AND NO MATTER HOW MUCH I COMPLAINED THEY SAID OH WELL THAT IS APTS FOR YOU. ALSO CALLED COPS 3 TIMES FOR SAME FAMILY AND EVEN COPS SAID WOW HOW DO YOU LIVE LIKE THIS THEY HEARD THEM MAKE SO MUCH NOSIE. AGAIN MANAGEMENT SAID OH WELL NICE A. PARKING WAS A NIGHT MARE IF THEY WOULD NOT MAKE SPACES SO CLOSE AND ON AN ANGLE IT COULD FIT MORE CARS AND MAYBE NOT GET YOUR CAR HIT. BUT I LEFT WITH THEM TAKING MY DEPOSIT AS LAST MONTH RENT AND LEFT THEY SUCK.

NO PRIVACY
Do not live at Top of the Hill if you expect any type of privacy by your neighbors, you can hear every noise coming from their apts and they have nothing better to do than to complain to the office about every little noise that comes from your apt. God forbid you had an actual emergency because no one answers the so called emergency number that they give you. The maintenance and office staff leave little to be desired. The lawn is all mud, dead shrubs, very unattractive. Laundry room has one machine each, washer and dryer that is not kept clean. The hallways are not cleaned unless you complain about them. If you have company or more than 2 cars you have to park at the other end of the complex in the visitor lot, where your car will be vandalized. That is is you are even lucky enough to find parking for one car, you have to come home before 6PM to get a spot near your apartment. Unless you are absolutely desperate for a place to live, you are better off living in your car!!!

More of a Moron Than a Manager
It was someone's bright idea to require visitor parking from now on. They put it in the bad corner of the parking lot where cars are always stolen and abused. There has always been plenty of room down there, because all of the smart tenants avoid it like the plague. If you have a third car in the family, it has to be parked in the visitor lot. Stay away!

Very annoying management. Tons of regulations every day.
I was glad to live in Top of the Hill for more than 2 years. Everything seemed OK until recent changes in management. Now I feel like I am in prison. Every day I receive tons of new rules, regulations and limitations. Some of them are accompanied with threats.
Among the last rules was restriction on parking guest cars and moving tracks near buildings. I can agree that guest cars can stay long and therefore occupy residentsý parking spots. However, I do not understand, why moving tracks, which usually do not stay long, must park in 200 yards from the building, too.
Another restriction was a ban on using window air conditioners. My attempt to fix the central one failed so far. I was told, that it worked properly, even though it worked all day long in desperate attempt to reach 76 degrees on quite a cool day.
The manager doesn't care about residents and to discuss any problems and tend to aggravate too many things by mandatory regulations and numerous letters, there are piles of papers with restrictions near each door! Very unfriendly and horrible place ! Run away! Do not rent!
