I’ve really enjoyed settling in over the past few months. The community is actually super charming and peaceful, and I like that everything I need is really close by! Haven’t needed any maintenance so far, but the office staff has always been friendly and helpful.

My experience at Camden at shadow brook
My experience at Camden at Shadowbrook has been truly wonderful. We absolutely adore the apartment, the amenities, and the incredibly helpful staff. Kiara, our leasing consultant, was an amazing woman. We first spoke to Kiara, and after helping us secure our apartment, patiently answered all our questions, even the patience with our little one. That day was truly made for us! :)

Love them!
Brenton was great! He was the one that gave us the tour. He was very nice and accommodating. He has a lively personality which is always a plus. I used to live at these apartments and I loved them. Community is nice, quiet, and clean. Everyone is friendly and in definitely considering moving back.

Love this place!!!
I am so glad I found this lovely property, of Camden Shadow Brook. Shaye was my first point of contact at Shadow Brook and a very large part of why I ultimately rented here. Her back story and connection to the property drew me in and made me feel like I wanted to see and know more. During my tour she continued to peak my interest. For me this community made me feel connected to my past and I made the decision to make it my home. I had done my due diligence though and looked at quite a few other properties before and after my first tour to make sure I wasn't making a rushed decision. Nothing and I mean nothing and no-one made me feel what I felt at Camden Shadow Brook with Shaye - they are both top notch!!!! Keep up the great work Camden and I hope Shaye is recognized for her very valuable contribution to Shadow Brook, the team (including Molly) and helping me feel at home. I am rather a tough critic as I used to be in the Apartment and HOA industry so I understand and appreciate her and Camden. Thank you ALL ever so much!

Great complex!!
I have been living here the past 6 months and it really has been great. Front office staff is very attentive and always kind. Maintenance staff is knowledgeable, professional and quick to resolve the rare issues with the unit. The dog park and pick up stations are always stocked and kept nice and tidy. Neighbors are pleasant and social. There is an entrance to the neighboring park (Mary Moore) which is very convenient and a bus stop directly in front of the front office which makes public transport easy. I would 100% recommend checking the complex out if you are looking for a dog friendly quiet place to live. A big thank you to Shaye from the front office for being there with me every step of the way!

Camden it is!
Moving back to the city, I knew I wanted to stay at a Camden property 100% I am a little picky when it comes down to looking for the right unit, and Brenton made it possible for me! Thank you Molly and Will for supporting such amazing staff and making it happen for me!

Moving in within 48 hours the place had roaches. When I asked the front desk about fumigation, they said I had to clean the apartment even though it was my second day there. No fumigation was done. Dishwasher flooded the kitchen every time it was used. I requested a fix 4 times in total. I had to demand they replace it with a new dishwasher before it was finally fixed it. Sink floods the kitchen, outlets go out. All in 3 months of living here. You are forced to pay for trash valet, but they rarely ever pick up your trash. There was an incident where I needed access to my apartment on a Sunday. I went to meet with someone to open the door and I found nobody at my apartment with the door unlocked. Mind you this was a $150 fee, to open my door on the weekend. When I asked to dispute the fee, I was told they will not waive it. After requesting to speak with a manager I was told that that he is busy, and he said that though that is the fee, and you agreed to it when you signed the lease will only charge me $75 as a courtesy. I again requested to speak with the manager. He called the next day and said that same thing. Everyone in this situation was snippy, unsympathetic and rude. Living here will not get better until whomever is in charge starts to care. I regret signing a lease here. I wanted to like this place, but the staff's attitude and hands off approach leaves much to be desired.

Home Sweet Home
I transferred to Camden Shadow Brook from a different Camden complex here in Austin. I am so glad that I did! I am having a wonderful living experience here at Shadow Brook. This is my perfect home! I am home a lot and am blessed to have a clean and safe environment to call my own! My service requests were taken care of within 24 hours…the office staff is approachable and very kind…and the convenience of location is absolutely perfect! I highly recommend living here at Camden Shadow Brook! Oh, and check out my view from my living room window and front porch!!!!! I love this!!!!!!!!

I lived at Camden Shadowbrook for 15 months and wanted to leave this review to be completely transparent about my stay here. TL;DR Live here if you care about friendly neighbors, timely maintenance crew, and decently sized living spaces; don't live here if you care about amenities, relative safety of your car, an efficient and compassionate management team, hidden fees associated with things out of your control, and apartment build quality. So, to start with the positives: friendly neighbors (people say hi to you when you're walking around the complex), maintenance crew (take usually no more than 2 days to complete a request), and decently sized living spaces (vaulted ceilings in some apartments, big walk-in closets, big bathtubs, decent sized kitchen with cabinet space). And now all the grievances my roommate and I had: 1. Amenities: The pool was closed for 5 out of 15 months I lived here with 2 of those months being in the summer time. While construction is understandable, there was no reliability from the management team when asked about completion. The gym is okay. Half the treadmills aren't fully functional, the dumb bells only go up to 35lbs (I think?), and they have this weird squat rack that's not completely free weight. For an apartment gym it's fine. 2. Safety: While I was there, a number of people's catalytic converters were stolen. Camden sent out an email stating to watch out for burglars or suspicious, but no other real measures were taken to deter people. They can do better. 3. Gate Access: This one's specific to Camden complexes. To enter the gate, you need to download an app that allows you keyless/codeless entry. This isn't great when you get home at 3am with a dead phone. I asked Camden for a gate code, but they told me it changes every month and proceeded to give me an incorrect gate code. It was extremely frustrating dealing with this ESPECIALLY when the app crashed. When this happens, you just have to wait and be anxious as all the cars pile up behind you because nobody else knows the gate code. 4. Build Quality: In my 2B2B, the master bedroom had stagnant air flow which put the room 3-4 degrees higher than the room with the thermostat. In the summer with a desktop running at medium settings the master bedroom was a furnace. This was also the case for many other of my neighbors. Be careful when touring Camden and take note of the temperature differences in the rooms to make sure you're not getting a bad unit. 5. Management Team: They're great when you're signing your lease, but as soon as you start living there they don't really do much to help you, and every email received after multiple residents complained about something was usually the same "we're sorry, please reach out to us if there's anything you want to talk about etc. etc" but then no change comes. 6. Hidden Fees: You'll have to pay valet trash ($30-$40 I forgot) per month. You have to opt into their internet plan (with Spectrum like $70). And when you move out, there's a $150 cleaning fee (if it's really dirty they'll add another $50 on there). These are fine for the most part IF they were reliable. Valet trash rarely--if ever--picks up your trash and now YOU get charged if your trash ends up in a bush somewhere instead of in the trash. The internet was out for a full week when they were upgrading the bandwidth. A lot of residents work from home and this was just a nightmare for them since they couldn't opt into any other internet package. That's all I got. I didn't hate living here, but I also think that things could be so much better and now that I've moved to a decent apartment, I can see how bad things were at Camden. If you already signed your lease and you're just seeing this, don't worry it's not a bad place to live. If you're contemplating whether to live here or not, really consider what you value in a home.

DONT MOVE HERE
I was really excited to move into a Camden residence because I heard that they were really nice apartments. When I got here the layout was nice, but I noticed a couple of roaches coming from my dishwasher. I had it treated a couple of times, but the problem continued to get worse. For the past 7 months I have been dealing with a straight up roach infestation. I am a clean person and I have deep cleaned my entire apartment and they are coming from the walls. I got “serviced” 6 times by Camden and they have done nothing to rectify the situation. And I can’t bring an outside company because it is an apartment complex… ALSO there have been several problems with the main security gate in my 8 months of living here. It always seems to be broken, but they usually fixed it within at least a week. Well, for the past MONTH this gate has been broken and several cars have been stolen. There have been SEVERAL armed robberies of my neighbors and Camden is doing nothing about it. In fact, they are blaming the residents for “running into the gate,” which has caused the delays in repairing the gate. This is complete absurd. These people don’t care about their tenants at all and would rather them be put at constant real risk than protect them and fix the gate, like they have done before. I am so ready to leave and I’m honestly considering breaking my lease just to get out of this hellhole.

Removing amenities
We moved here a few months ago and chose an apartment purposefully close to their hot tub and now they are filling it in and calling it an “upgrade”. It’s the only part of the pool I ever see anyone use.

Maintenance
Hugo Ruano came out to repair my sink stopper and did an amazing job. He even went as far as to replace my toilet seat without a ticket needing to be made which I thoroughly appreciated. I hope his hard work is recognized!

Very Helpful Staff
The staff at Camden were very helpful and made the leasing process go smoothly. Camden is a gated community near the Southpark Meadows shopping area with access to a walking trail. I love the location and the safety that comes with living in a gated complex.

I lived and worked at Camden Shadow Brook and absolutely loved it there! The community is phenomenal. It is upkept at a level unlike any other and extremely clean. The apartments truly embody a pristine level of luxury living and I felt extremely comfortable in my apartment. I loved the amenities present and utilized the two gyms almost daily. The team over there is amazing. The leasing staff of Katie, Alexandra, and Chance are so helpful and amazing at their jobs and go above and beyond to ensure that any issue is resolved. The managers there, Britney and Alek, are so caring and ensure that all residents are heard and do everything in their power to ensure living excellence through managing the property. The maintenance team of Gil, Guillermo, Johny, Otto, Genoveva, and Tina are incredible. They are speedy and efficient with their work and are the backbone that makes the sure the property remains beautiful. Thank you all for the incredible living experience!

I have lived here for about 1.5 years and am continually disappointed with management. Besides the construction issues, like the thin walls, floors/ceilings that let freezing air in during the winter, and allow you to hear most everything neighbors are up to and rattles when residents upstairs walk around the property management is lacking. There is no private outdoor space for the apartments like at other sites (no porch or patio). Since I moved in, there has been no landscaping in front of my apartment, just mud. I was told I could put potted plants and a chair, which I did, but then was told to get rid of them. I had great roses, etc. and now just mud. The dog park has large rocks that cut the dogs paws, and now even more concrete, hardly any grass. Trash pick up is irregular. Cars are broken into, we asked for security cameras and got unnecessary electric door locks instead (huge investment, nobody was complaining about having to use a key and now the company will throw away about 1600 batteries at least once a year). They water even if its raining or the ground is saturated from days of rain. Management is pleasant, but does not really change anything, only says it was "corporate leadership" that decides. So that's why I'm on here. The location and natural areas are great. hanks

My husband and I moved in a month ago and every staff member and Maintenance crew thus far has been very friendly, professional and prompt on getting your request done, our move in was effortless and we are very happy and comfortable to be at Camden Shadow Brook we would welcome anyone to be part of this very friendly community, God bless them All!

This is such a great place to live! The office staff is awesome, especially Britney and Gisela. When I lived there they were always willing to help me and genuinely care about the residents. The maintenance staff is also top notch! They completed services requests so fast and were always so friendly and willing to explain the work they were doing. I really loved living here! The only reason I moved was because because I bought a house. 10/10 would recommend!!!

I'm a previous resident and would absolutely recommend Shadow Brook based on my experience there. Any time I placed a service request the response was fast, done well, and with a cheerful attitude. The apartments are so cute - we had amazing closet space and a built in desk in two rooms! Washer and dryer were included which made my life and move in easier. We rented a covered parking space and that was super useful. Great amenities and really easy to use online payment and service request options were nice to have. I work a lot so I never participated in the resident activities but there is a community message board and everything looked really well done if that is important to you.

I have been a resident here for almost 4 years, and I absolutely love it here! The staff and maintenance crew are outstanding and very efficient when there's an issue that needs fixing! Britney especially goes above and beyond to make sure that as residents, we're well taken care of!

I lived here for a few months while our home was being built and had such a great experience! The location is great, close to plenty of stores, easy access to highways and close to a lot of Austin nightlife. Valet Waste is a huge plus when you work a lot, very convenient for them to pick your trash AND recycle. I also could choose between either fitness center or pool and it was nice having that option. Oh yeah, the yoga and spin room are another cool space! Our layout was really great too, we had not only a large soaking tub but also a stand-up shower which is pretty rare in apartments. I also really liked the layout of our kitchen, it had an island kitchen and was very spacious, tons of cabinet space! Maintenance and the office team were always so nice and attentive! If I find myself needing another apartment, I will definitely come back to Camden Shadow Brook!

I currently live here. I am not happy at all. Neighbors are noisy, peoples cars are always getting broken into or scratched. There were teens camping out in the community gym. They are threatening to tow my car when I live here and pay rent every month. The maintenance is second hand maintenance. Dogs poop everywhere and owners don't pick up after them. The offices attention to detail and fixing these problems is so underwhelming. Definitely happy to be leaving at the end of my lease.
