Just moved out after 3 years of hell. Neighbours very loud and got charged twice for the cleaning fee. -------------- is the -----, very unprofessional. You could never win a fight with her even when evidence is striking. Must have enrolled her in the ---- party or so. I am not joking. Roads are terrible, pools are often dirty. No community events like it used to be before when Verde was the management company. Luxury community only for the price. Have a friend living in another apartment and cannot wait to live either. Raised the rent over $200. Not worth it.

The community is really...
The community is really nice. The maintenance workers are extremely professional and take care of any issues quickly. The apartment is a little over priced for the square footage.

great place I loved living...
great place I loved living here anytime i had a maintenance issue they were right on it> I really hated moving out but I could not afford the rent increase.

The apt complex is located...
The apt complex is located in a great area. Only bad thing is they dont have balconies! But overall Camden Shadow Brook is a great community to live in.

Beautiful inside living...
Beautiful inside living space.Very roomie and modern. Wish there was a little patio area for each apartment. Parking is limited evenings/ weekends.

Before we moved to Camden...
Before we moved to Camden Shadow Brooke, I was not all impressed with apartment life. After moving in to Camden Shadow Brooke it has changed my mind. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The maitenance crew is awesome as well. I could not have asked for a better place.

Maintainence issues all...
Maintainence issues all the time, as I'm typing this my AC is broken. Have had ants numerous times, ac leaking causing mold. And it's only been 5 months.

Me and my wife have been...

They have a great location...
They have a great location and the apartments themselves are nice though maybe a little small, especially considering they have no balcony. It is nice not having to see everyone's stuff laying out on balconies.

Overall good value. Still disappointed that the trash service is mandatory and requires an inescapable fee each month. Love the social events, even if I cannot always attend. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great use of e-mail to alert residents of packages at the front office.

Great place to live unless...
Great place to live unless unless you need help from the main office. Only one member of the staff has been friendly and helpful. The units and maintenance are great, but the grounds are not maintained as well. Dead grass and limited requirement that residents keep their porches clean.

I'm still getting use...
I'm still getting use to living so far south but I love this complex and the amenities. I love the floorplans and fixtures. I live behind the pond and it's beautiful. The staff is wonderful and very helpful and when I have a maintenance request, they are there the next day and sometimes even the same day or night. very impressed. Calls are also answered well past the closing time of the office.

All of the reviews below are fake. Seriously? NO ONE cares that you can pay your rent online ahead of time or that there are no pin holes in the wall. These are terrible people. It was so much better when Verde was running it.

I really love the atmosphere...
I really love the atmosphere here and everything is very well kept. The staff are very friendly and efficent. You can pay your rent online ahead of time which is great. Everyone is pet friendly and the pool scene is one of the best for me thus far. The only bad things I have to warn you about are that there is no balcony, the price is a little high for the square footage, and the valet waste fee of $30.00 a month is just not worth it and it should be optional.

I lived at Shadow Brook...
I lived at Shadow Brook for 3+ years and the only reason I left was because I got offered a job in North Austin. The maintenance team was amazing and the grounds were always kept beautiful. The office team was great to me especially Velissa. I would strongly recommend moving here.

Parking is terrible especially...
Parking is terrible especially on weekends. When I get off work late at night,I have to sometimes park farther away from my apt. which makes me feel a little unsafe walking out at night. It would be nice if all the apartments atleast had covered parking without it being an option and charged for it. I do get dirty looks as if I don't belong here, the looks I can ignore because I pay just like everyone else to be here althrough this can be uncomfortable. The maintence staff is great.Don't like the whole idea off the trash fee that you have no choice but to pay. The location is very easy access to hwy, shopping,dinning, & entertainment.The grounds are very nice, however a tennis court, walking trail,or basket ball court would of been nice to get out. Driving in & out can be dangerous some drivers don't care or unaware of whats comimng around those curb & they speed like crazy trying to get in/out out the gates or when trying to snatch up a parking spot.

Update after 11 months of living here: I'm not really sure why Shadow Brook is getting this many bad reviews. I've lived here for 11 months, and I love the place! I just saw a review from someone who broke their lease and then complained that the staff wasn't "nice" to them. Umm....duh....no one's going to be nice to you when you break a contract. And don't be upset when they charge you what they say they will (in that contract) either. Ugh, some people.... Here is what I love about living here: 1. The price is great for what you get in Austin. I pay 798 for almost 900 sq ft, and that includes pet rent and 30$ for valet trash. 2. The apartment is whisper quiet and so is the complex. I can't hear my neighbors at all, only one of the neighbors dogs once in a blue moon. The complex is so nice and quiet when I take my dog on a walk and come home in the afternoon. I'm kind of an "old lady" about my peace and quiet, and this place is very quiet! I can tell it's well insulated because even when it was down to 20 and 30 degrees a few weeks back, my apartment stayed warm. And I turned the heater OFF before I went to sleep for 8 hours. 3. I like the concept of wristbands for the pool. They gave me three when I moved in, and if I need one or two extra I just ask a neighbor. It keeps all the people who want to bring their family of 12 from god knows where, out. One time I saw like a group of 10 people there, none had wristbands on, so the office came to check and they left. They have amazing grills by the pool too. 4. The property is awesome! it's always very clean and well maintained, and they have a ton of green space. There is even a maintenance lady, who I see most mornings when I leave for work, she picks up trash that fell out of the dumpster over night, so that the area looks nice. 5. Maintenance is so quick and friendly. I've never had to wait longer than 12 hours to get something done. 6. The office staff is really friendly, and always makes a point to help me quickly. In my opinion, the only time someone should have a problem with office staff is if they don't pay rent on time. I pay my rent on time, so I don't have any problems. 7. The apartment itself is full of nice details and just is very comfortable to live in. It's disappointing that there are all these bad reviews because I love living here. I will be signing my lease again this year, and all my friends like to stay at MY apartment when they come to Austin.
